1Hantavirus infection:a global zoonotic challenge显示文摘Hantaviruses are comprised of tri-segmented negative sense single-stranded RNA, and are members of the Bunyaviridae family. Hantaviruses are distributed worldwide and are important zoonotic pathogens that can have severe adverse effects in humans. They are naturally maintained in specific reservoir hosts without inducing symptomatic infection. In humans, however,hantaviruses often cause two acute febrile diseases, hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS) and hantavirus cardiopulmonary syndrome(HCPS). 2Regional assessment of cadmium pollution in agricultural lands and the potential health risk related to intensive mining activities: A case study in Chenzhou City, China显示文摘The purpose of this study was to assess the extent of cadmium (Cd) contamination in agricultural soil and its potential risk for people. Soils, rice, and vegetables from Chenzhou City, Southern China were sampled and analyzed. In the surface soils, the 95% confidence interval for the mean concentration of Cd varied between 2.72 and 4.83 mg/kg (P < 0.05) in the survey, with a geometric mean concentration of 1.45 mg/kg. Based on the GIS map, two hot spot areas of Cd in agricultural soils with high Cd concentrations were identified to be located around the Shizhuyuan, Jinshiling, and Yaogangxian mines, and the Baoshan and Huangshaping mines, in the center of the city. About 60% of the total investigated area, where the agricultural soil Cd concentration is above 1 mg/kg, is distributed in a central belt across the region. The critical distances, at which the soil Cd concentration were increased by the mining activities, from the mines of the soils were 23 km for the Baoshan mine, 46 km for the Huangshaping mine, and 63 km for the Shizhuyuan mine, respectively. These are distances calculated from models. The Cd concentrations in rice samples ranged from 0.01 to 4.43 mg/kg and the mean dietary Cd intake from rice for an adult was 191 μg/d. 3Soil pH determines fungal diversity along an elevation gradient in Southwestern China显示文摘Fungi play important roles in ecosystem processes, and the elevational pattern of fungal diversity is still unclear. Here, we examined the diversity of fungi along a 1,000 m elevation gradient on Mount Nadu, Southwestern China. We used MiSeq sequencing to obtain fungal sequences that were clustered into operational taxonomic units(OTUs) and to measure the fungal composition and diversity. Though the species richness and phylogenetic diversity of the fungal community did not exhibit significant trends with increasing altitude, they were significantly lower at mid-altitudinal sites than at the base. The Bray-Curtis distance clustering also showed that the fungal communities varied significantly with altitude. A distance-based linear model multivariate analysis(DistLM) identified that soil pH dominated the explanatory power of the species richness(23.72%),phylogenetic diversity(24.25%) and beta diversity(28.10%) of the fungal community. Moreover, the species richness and phylogenetic diversity of the fungal community increased linearly with increasing soil pH(P<0.05). 53D Positional and Quantitative Prediction of the Xiaoqinling Gold Ore Belt in Tongguan, Shaanxi, China显示文摘Quantitative prediction of deep orebody based on 3D visualization technology is of great significance in mineral exploration. Based on the 2D traditional quantitative predicting method, the geoanomaly theory and the mineral exploration model idea, we constructed 3D models of the topography, strata, structure, magmatite and prospecting engineering of the study area using the commercial 3D modeling software Micromine, delineated eight prospective areas and estimated the gold resources amount with methods of Abundance Estimation and Volume Estimation. Then, we compared and counted the known ore blocks and the predicted blocks, which quantitatively explains this prediction's validity. 8PTA clad (Cr,Fe)_7C_3/γ-Fe in situ ceramal composite coating显示文摘A wear-resistant (Cr, Fe)7C3/γ-Fe in situ ceramal composite coating was fabricated on the substrate of 0.45wt%C carbon steel by a plasma-transferred arc cladding process using the Fe-Cr-C elemental powder blends. The microstructure, microhardness, and dry-sliding wear resistance of the coating were evaluated. The results indicate that the microstructure of the coating, which was composed of (Cr, Fe)7C3 primary phase uniformly distributed in the γ-Fe, and the (Cr, Fe)7C3 eutectic matrix was metallurgically bonded to the 0.45wt%C carbon steel substrate. From substrate to coating, the microstructure of the coating exhibited an evident epitaxial growth character. The coating, indehiscent and tack-free, had high hardness and appropriate gradient. 9Multi-axial Fatigue of 2024-T4 Aluminum Alloy显示文摘Only the fatigue initiation is considered by the safe-life design approach,while fatigue crack propagation is paid more attention by the damage tolerance approach.The reasonable fatigue design method and durability assessment standard should give these two phases equivalent concerns.To develop a unified model of fatigue initiation and crack propagation,a great deal of baseline fatigue properties of a material should be obtained by fatigue experiments.However,there is lack of thorough and comprehensive experiment study on the fatigue properties of 2024-T4 aluminum alloy,which is widely used as load-bearing components in aircraft industry.In this paper,strain-controlled uniaxial,torsion,and combined axial-torsion fatigue experiments are conducted on 2024-T4 aluminum alloy in ambient air.Fully reversed uniaxial and pure torsion experiments employ solid cylindrical specimens.Fatigue experiments under the fully reversed shear loading with a static axial stress,proportional axial-torsion loading,and 90°out-of-phase axial-torsion nonproportional loading are conducted by using thin-walled tubular specimens.The experimental results show that the mean stress has a significant influence on the fatigue strength of the material.A tensile mean stress decreases the fatigue life dramatically,while a compressive mean stress increases the fatigue life.The strain-life fatigue results obtained from the fully reversed uniaxial fatigue experiments can be represented by one smooth curve of a three-parameter equation.However,two fitting curves are needed for characterizing the results of the fully reversed pure torsion fatigue tests because of the existence of an obvious kink.The baseline fatigue properties of 2024-T4 aluminum alloy obtained from the fatigue experiments have applications for the fatigue design and safe assessment of engineering components.WANG Xiaogui GAO Zengliang QIU Baoxiang WANG Limei JIANG Yanyao 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,2:7
10Utilization of Ogura CMS germplasm with the clubroot resistance gene by fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement in Brassica oleracea L显示文摘Clubroot disease,a major plant root disease caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae,has become one of the most destructive diseases among cultivated cruciferous vegetables.However,clubroot-resistant Brassica oleracea materials are rare.A few clubroot-resistant cabbage varieties are available on the market,but all are Ogura cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS)types.Therefore,in this study,to reutilize the clubroot-resistant Ogura CMS germplasm of cabbage,a new fertility-restored Ogura CMS material,16Q2-11,was used as a bridge to transfer the clubroot resistance(CR)gene from the Ogura CMS cytoplasm to the normal cytoplasm by a two-step method(a fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement method).In the first cross for fertility restoration of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbage(FRCRC),16Q2-11 was used as a restorer to cross with Ogura CMS materials containing the CR gene CRb2.Eleven Rfo-positive progenies were generated,of which four contained CRb2:F8-514,F8-620,F8-732 and F8-839.After inoculation with race 4 of P.brassicae,these four CRb2-positive individuals showed resistance.Furthermore,F8-514 and F8-839 were then used as male parents in the second cross of FRCRC to cross with cabbage inbred lines,resulting in the successful introgression of the CRb2 gene into the inbred lines.All offspring produced from this step of cross,which had a normal cytoplasm,showed a high resistance to race 4 of P.brassicae and could be utilized for the breeding of clubrootresistant cabbage varieties in the future.This is the first time that the Ogura CMS restorer has been used to restore the fertility of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbages,which could improve germplasm diversity in cabbage and provide a reference method for using CMS germplasm in Brassica crops.Wenjing Ren Zhiyuan Li Fengqing Han Bin Zhang Xing Li Zhiyuan Fang Limei Yang Mu Zhuang Honghao Lv Yumei Liu Yong Wang Hailong Yu Yangyong Zhang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:7

13SmMYB2 promotes salvianolic acid biosynthesis in the medicinal herb Salvia miltiorrhiza显示文摘MYB transcription factors play vital roles in plant growth and metabolism.The phytohormone methyl jasmonate(MeJA)promotes phenolic acid accumulation in the medicinal herb Salvia miltiorrhiza,but the regulatory mechanism is poorly understood.Here,we identified the MeJA-responsive R2R3-MYB transcription factor gene 5mMYB2 from a transcriptome library produced from MeJAtreated S.mi'/horr/ifza hairy roots.Sm/VIYB2 expression was tightly correlated with the expression of key salvianolic acid biosynthetic genes including CYP^8Ai^.5mMYB2 was highly expressed in the periderm of S.miltiorrhiza and SmMYB2 localized to the nucleus.Overexpressing Sml\AYB2 in S.miltiorrhiza hairy roots significantly increased the levels of salvianolic acids(including rosmarinic acid and salvianolic acid B)by upregulating salvianolic acid biosynthetic genes such as CYP98A14.SmMYB2 binds to the MYB-binding motifs in the promoter of CYP98A14,as confirmed by a dual-luciferase assay and electrophoretic mobility shift assays.Anthocyanin contents were significantly higher in Sm/ViyB2-overexpressing hairy root lines than the control,primarily due to the increased expression of CHI,DFR,and ANS.These findings reveal the novel regulatory role of SmMYB2 in MeJA-mediated phenolic acid biosynthesis,providing a useful target gene for metabolic engineering and shedding light on the salvianolic acid regulatory network.Changping Deng Yao Wang Fenfen Huang Sunjie Lu Limei Zhao Xingyuan Ma Guoyin Kai 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,11:6
14A New Process Industry Fault Diagnosis Algorithm Based on Ensemble Improved Binary-Tree SVM显示文摘Support vector machine(SVM) is an effective tool in deal with small sample, nonlinear and high dimension classification problems. In this paper, an improved pre-treatment binary-tree SVM is proposed to solve fault diagnosis. Furthermore an ensemble method is presented to establish ensemble SVM. Here the improved SVM is used as weak learning machine. The new ensemble SVM can improve the performance of single binary-tree SVM.At the end, the new algorithm is applied to fault diagnosis of blast furnace faults and the Tennessee Eastman process(TEP). 16Bio-inspired Superhydrophobic Self-healing Surfaces with Synergistic Anticorrosion Performance显示文摘The past decade has witnessed significant efforts in addressing the global metallic corrosion challenge,with a focus on avoiding or mitigating huge economic losses incurred by corrosion and on the development of protective coatings on metals.Herein,a synergistic anticorrosion coating with both superhydrophobicity and self-healing properties was reported,through a facile replica molding method by mixing the polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)matrix with nano-sized SiO2 particles and 2-mercaptobenzothiazole(MBT)loaded halloysites(HNTs).The surface exhibits robust self-cleaning behavior under harsh conditions and high liquid repellence to withstand the osmosis of corrosive ions.The self-healing performance of the coating,due to the introduction of MBT-loaded HNTs,enhances the anticorrosion capability,which is still valid once the protective layer is damaged.Potentiodynamic polarization(PDP)and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS)measurements demonstrate that the synergetic effects in anticorrosion performances significantly enhance the long-term corrosion protection of metals.Hence,this type of dual-action coating may find unique applications in metal corrosion resistance where both super-repellency and self-healing properties are desired.Xiaona Yang Limei Tian Wei Wang Yong Fan Jiyu Sun Jie Zhao Luquan Ren 2020Journal of Bionic Engineering2020,17,6:4
