| 3 | Structural Scheme Optimization Design for the Stationary Platen of a Precision Plastic Injection Molding Machine显示文摘The current development of precision plastic injection molding machines mainly focuses on how to save material and improve precision, but the two aims contradict each other. For a clamp unit, clamping precision improving depends on the design quality of the stationary platen. Compared with the parametric design of stationary platen, structural scheme design could obtain the optimization model with double objectives and multi-constraints. In this paper, a SE-160 precision plastic injection molding machine with 1600 kN clamping force is selected as the subject in the case study. During the motion of mold closing and opening, the stationary platen of SE-160 is subjected to a cyclic loading, which would cause the fatigue rupture of the tie bars in periodically long term operations. In order to reduce the deflection of the stationary platen, the FEA method is introduced to optimize the structure of the stationary platen. Firstly, an optimal topology model is established by variable density method. Then, structural topology optimizations of the stationary platen are done with the removable material from 50%, 60% to 70%. Secondly, the other two recommended optimization schemes are given and compared with the original structure. The result of performances comparison shows that the scheme II of the platen is the best one. By choosing the best alternative, the volume and the local maximal stress of the platen could be decreased, corresponding to cost-saving material and better mechanical properties. | 4 | Metamorphic Manipulating Mechanism Design for MCCB Using Index Reduced Iteration显示文摘The present research on moulded case circuit breaker(MCCB) focuses on the enhancement of current-limiting interrupting performance during short circuit, overload, under voltage and phase failure, involving electrics, magnetic, mechanics, thermal, material, friction, arc extinguishing, impact vibration, skin effect, etc. The rigid-flexible coupling of the parts and components of the metamorphic manipulating mechanism in multi-fields leads to the non-rigid, high frequency, high damping, singularity of the Euler-Lagrange equations which represents the multi-body dynamics. The small step iteration which is used for obtaining the instantaneous and short time critical interrupting performance of metamorphic mechanism appears inaccuracy. It is difficult to realize top-down design by existing CAD systems. Therefore, a metamorphic manipulating mechanism design method for MCCB using index reduced iteration(IRI) is put forward. The metamorphic manipulating mechanism of MCCB is decomposed into three mechanisms: main switch connector mechanism, electromagnet-drawbar-jump buckle mechanism, and bimetallic strip-drawbar mechanism, which is respectively described by electro-dynamic force, electromagnet force, and bimetallic strip force. The dummy part(virtual rigid) without moment of inertia and mass is employed as intermediate to join the flexible body and rigid body. The model of rigid-flexible coupling metamorphic mechanism multi-body dynamics is built. The differential algebraic equations(DAEs) of the multibody dynamics model are converted to pure ordinary differential equations(ODEs) by coordinate partition. Order reduced integration with multi-step and variable step-size is preceded based on IRI. The non-linear algebraic equations are solved in each integration step by Newton-Rapson iteration. There is no ill-condition and singularity of Jacobian matrix when step size reduces to zero. The independent prototype design system using ACIS R13, HOOPS V11.0 and Visual C++.NET 2003 has been developed, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method. | 8 | Acquisition and Active Navigation of Knowledge Particles throughout Product Variation Design Process显示文摘The variation design of complex products has such features as multivariate association, weak theory coupling and implicit knowledge iteration. However, present CAD soft wares are still restricted to making decisions only according to current design status in dynamic navigation which leads to the huge drain of the knowledge hidden in design process. In this paper, a method of acquisition and active navigation of knowledge particles throughout product variation design process is put forward. The multi-objective decision information model of the variation design is established via the definition of condition attribute set and decision attribute set in finite universe. The addition and retrieval of the variation semantics is achieved through bidirectional association between the transplantable structures and variation design semantics. The mapping relationships between the topology lapping geometry elements set and constraint relations set family is built by means of geometry feature analysis. The acquisition of knowledge particles is implemented by attribute reduction based on rough set theory to make multi-objective decision of variation design. The topology lapping status of transplantable substructures is known from DOF reduction. The active navigation of knowledge particles is realized through embedded event-condition-action(ECA) rules. The independent prototype system taking Alan, Charles, Ian's system(ACIS) as kernel has been developed to verify the proposed method by applying variation design of complex mechanical products. The test results demonstrate that the navigation decision basis can be successfully extended from static isolated design status to dynamic continuous design process so that it more flexibly adapts to the different designers and various variation design steps. The motion trajectory of mechanism is described with code-chain, which is normalized to simplify the operation of geometric transformation. The geometric transforma-tion formulas of scale, mirror and rotation for trajectory code-chain are defined, and the reverse de-sign for mechanism trajectory is realized through the analysis and solution of similarity matching between the desired trajectory and the predefined trajectory. The algorithm program and prototype system of reverse design for mechanism trajectory are developed. | 10 | Benefits of redundant channels in observer-based H∞ control for discrete-time switched linear systems显示文摘In this paper, the H∞ control problem is investigated for a class of discrete-time switched linear systems with modal persistent dwell-time(MPDT) switching. The redundant channels are considered to use in the data transmission to benefit the capability of overcoming the fragility of networks commonly configured by a single channel in the communication networks subject to random packet losses. In light of a new class of Lyapunov functions, the desired observer-based quasi-time-dependent controllers, which have less conservatism than the time-independent ones, are designed such that the resulting closed-loop system is exponentially mean-square stable with a guaranteed H_∞ disturbance attenuation performance. The MPDT can be minimized while ensuring the existence of such a class of observer-based controllers for a given period of persistence. | 16 | Performance design of a cryogenic air separation unit for variable working conditions using the lumped parameter model显示文摘Large-scale cryogenic air separation units(ASUs),which are widely used in global petrochemical and semiconductor industries,are being developed with high operating elasticity under variable working conditions.Different from discrete processes in traditional machinery manufacturing,the ASU process is continuous and involves the compression,adsorption,cooling,condensation,liquefaction,evaporation,and distillation of multiple streams.This feature indicates that thousands of technical parameters in adsorption,heat transfer,and distillation processes are correlated and merged into a large-scale complex system.A lumped parameter model(LPM)of ASU is proposed by lumping the main factors together and simplifying the secondary ones to achieve accurate and fast performance design.On the basis of material and energy conservation laws,the piecewise-lumped parameters are extracted under variable working conditions by using LPM.Takagi–Sugeno(T–S)fuzzy interval detection is recursively utilized to determine whether the critical point is detected or not by using different thresholds.Compared with the traditional method,LPM is particularly suitable for“rough first then precise”modeling by expanding the feasible domain using fuzzy intervals.With LPM,the performance of the air compressor,molecular sieve adsorber,turbo expander,main plate-fin heat exchangers,and packing column of a 100000 Nm3 O2/h large-scale ASU is enhanced to adapt to variable working conditions.The designed value of net power consumption per unit of oxygen production(kW/(Nm3 O2))is reduced by 6.45%. | Jinghua XU Tiantian WANG Qianyong CHEN Shuyou ZHANG Jianrong TAN | 2020 | Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2020,15,1: | 1 |

| 18 | Identification of publication characteristics and research trends in the management of gallbladder cancer显示文摘Background:To date,no comprehensive analysis of gallbladder cancer(GBC)management has been reported.We aimed to identify the publication characteristics and research trends in managing GBC over the past three decades.Methods:We selected the 100 most cited articles and performed a bibliometric analysis to summarize the publication characteristics,explore research hotspots,and identify research trends in the management of GBC.Results:The total citations of the included articles ranged from 123 to 1822.Period II(2001–2010)yielded the highest number of included articles,whereas the lowest was in Period III(2011–2020).The United States and Japan published the most papers,in which the Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Center and Nagoya University were the leading institutions,respectively.The most influential authors were Blumgart LH and Fong YM from the United States.Cooperation among countries,institutions,and authors was weak.The Annals of Surgery contributed the most articles with the highest number of total citations.The most researched topic was surgery,followed by systemic therapy and adjuvant therapy.Since Period I,the percentage of surgery-related publications continuously decreased(Periods II and III versus Period I,both p<0.001),with a concomitant increase in those of adjuvant therapy(Period III versus Period I,p=0.004)and systemic therapy(Period II versus Period I,p=0.004;Period III versus Period I,p=0.002).Conclusions:Surgery remains the preferred treatment,while there is a tendency toward adjuvant and systemic therapy in GBC management.An increase in local and international collaboration for managing GBC is required. | Jiasheng Cao Jiahao Hu Jiliang Shen Bin Zhang Win Topatana Shijie Li Tianen Chen Sarun Jeungpanich Yitong Tian Ziyi Lu Shuyou Peng Xiujun Cai Mingyu Chen | 2022 | iLIVER2022,1,2: | 0 |

The sediment problem is a key challenge for the reservoir management A systematic research is needed to solve the problems. This paper presents recent observation data details of sediment problems and possible sediment disasters in the future. Variation process of the typical cross section from 1977 to 1997, average particle distribution of bed material along the reservoir, the ratio between input and output sediment load, bed load sediment deposition, fluvial process of the delta, and their effects on the regulated storage and the floods in the upstream are discussed in this paper.
