| 1 | Modeling gross primary production of a temperate grassland ecosystem in Inner Mongolia, China, using MODIS imagery and climate data显示文摘Carbon fluxes in temperate grassland ecosystems are characterized by large inter-annual variations due to fluctuations in precipitation and land water availability. Since an eddy flux tower has been in operation in the Xilin Gol grassland, which belongs to typical temperate grassland in North China, in this study, observed eddy covariance flux data were used to critically evaluate the biophysical per- formance of different remote sensing vegetation indices in relation to carbon fluxes. Furthermore, vegetation photosynthesis model (VPM) was introduced to estimate gross primary production (GPP) of the grassland ecosystem for assessing its dependability. As defined by the input variables of VPM, Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradimeter (MODIS) and standard data product MOD09A1 were downloaded for calculating enhanced vegetation index (EVI) and land surface water index (LSWI). Measured air temperature (Ta) and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) data were also included for model simulating. Field CO2 flux data, during the period from May, 2003 to September, 2005, were used to estimate the 'observed' GPP (GPPobs) for validation. The seasonal dynamics of GPP predicted from VPM (GPPVPM) was compared quite well (R2=0.903, N=111, p<0.0001) with the observed GPP. The ag- gregate GPPVPM for the study period was 641.5 g C·m?2, representing a ~6% over-estimation, compared with GPPobs. Additionally, GPP predicted from other two typical production efficiency model (PEM) represents either higher overestimation or lower underestimation to GPPobs. | 2 | Olivine-norite rock detected by the lunar rover Yutu-2 likely crystallized from the SPA-impact melt pool显示文摘Chang’E-4 landed in the South Pole-Aitken(SPA)basin,providing a unique chance to probe the composition of the lunar interior.Its landing site is located on ejecta strips in Von Karm´an crater that´possibly originate from the neighboring Finsen crater.A surface rock and the lunar regolith at 10 sites along the rover Yutu-2 track were measured by the onboard Visible and Near-Infrared Imaging Spectrometer in the first three lunar days of mission operations.In situ spectra of the regolith have peak band positions at 1 and 2μm,similar to the spectral data of Finsen ejecta from the Moon Mineralogy Mapper,which confirms that the regolith’s composition of the landing area is mostly similar to that of Finsen ejecta.The rock spectrum shows similar band peak positions,but stronger absorptions,suggesting relatively fresh exposure.The rock may consist of 38.1±5.4%low-Ca pyroxene,13.9±5.1%olivine and 48.0±3.1%plagioclase,referred to as olivine-norite.The plagioclase-abundant and olivine-poor modal composition of the rock is inconsistent with the origin of the mantle,but representative of the lunar lower crust.Alternatively,the rock crystallized from the impact-derived melt pool formed by the SPA-impact event via mixing the lunar crust and mantle materials.This scenario is consistent with fast-cooling thermal conditions of a shallow melt pool,indicated by the fine to medium-sized texture(<3 mm)of the rock and the SPA-impact melting model[Icarus 2012;220:730–43]. | Honglei Lin Zhiping He Wei Yang Yangting Lin Rui Xu Chi Zhang Meng-Hua Zhu Rui Chang Jinhai Zhang Chunlai Li Hongyu Lin Yang Liu Sheng Gou Yong Wei Sen Hu Changbin Xue Jianfeng Yang Jie Zhong Xiaohui Fu Weixing Wan Yongliao Zou | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,5: | 9 |
| 3 | Enhanced anti-sunward flow near local noon during a period of horizontal IMF and high solar wind velocity V_Y显示文摘It is believed that a southward interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) is mainly responsible for the energy input from solar wind into the magnetosphere.This paper presents an unusual case of strong anti-sunward plasma flow (up to 2 km/s) in the polar cap ionosphere and large cross-polar cap potential (CPCP) during a period of horizontal IMF (|BZ| < 2 nT) observed by both ACE (at the L1 point) and Geotail (on the dusk flank of the magnetosheath).The CPCP is even higher than that under preceding BZ ≈-23 nT.Furthermore,GOES8 observed that the magnetosheath field turns northward as the anti-sunward plasma flow and CPCP start to increase,which implies that the magnetosheath field interacting with the Earth's magnetopause has significantly rotated and differs from the IMF observed by ACE and Geotail.In accordance with previous theoretical work,we suggest that the magnetic field line draping produces a southward magnetosheath field and enhances anti-sunward plasma flow and the CPCP. | WEI Yong ZONG QiuGang PU ZuYin WAN WeiXing LIU JianJun FU SuiYan SHI QuanQi | 2011 | Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,11: | 7 |
| 4 | Polarization evolution of vector beams generated by q-plates显示文摘The polarization evolution of vector beams(VBs) generated by q-plates is investigated theoretically and experimentally.An analytical model is developed for the VB created by a general quarter-wave q-plate based on vector diffraction theory.It is found that the polarization distribution of VBs varies with position and the value q.In particular,for the incidence of circular polarization,the exit vector vortex beam has polarization states that cover the whole surface of the Poincarésphere,thereby constituting a full Poincarébeam.For the incidence of linear polarization,the VB is not cylindrical but specularly symmetric,and exhibits an azimuthal spin splitting.These results are in sharp contrast with those derived by the commonly used model,i.e.,regarding the incident light as a plane wave.By implementing q-plates with dielectric metasurfaces,further experiments validate the theoretical results. | WEIXING SHU XIAOHUI LING XIQUAN FU YACHAO LIU YOUGANG KE HAILU LUO | 2017 | Photonics Research2017,5,2: | 7 |
| 5 | Diagnostic value of whole-body MRI with diffusion-weighted sequence for detection of peritoneal metastases in colorectal malignancy显示文摘Objective:To assess the diagnostic accuracy of whole-body MRI using diffusion-weighted sequence(WB-DWI)to determine the peritoneal cancer index(PCI)in correlation with surgical and histopathological findings.Methods:Twenty-seven patients underwent preoperative WB-MRI,followed by cytoreductive surgery for primary tumors of the appendix(n=15),colorectum(n=12),and associated peritoneal disease.A total of 351 regions were retrospectively reviewed.The sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy were calculated at 13 anatomical sites.The WB-DWI PCI and PCI type were compared with surgical and histopathological findings.Results:No statistical difference was found between the WB-DWI PCI and surgical PCI(P=0.574).WB-DWI correctly predicted the PCI type in 24 of 27 patients with high accuracy(88.9%),including 10 of 10 patients with small-volume tumor,12 of 14 with moderate-volume tumor,and 2 of 3 with large-volume tumor.WB-DWI correctly depicted tumors in 163 of 203 regions,with 40false-negative and 23 false-positive regions.The overall sensitivity,specificity,and accuracy of WB-DWI for the detection of peritoneal tumors were 80.3%,84.5%,and 82.1%,respectively.For lesions<0.5 cm in diameter,WB-DWI demonstrated good sensitivity(69.4%).Conclusions:WB-DWI accurately predicted PCI before surgery in patients undergoing evaluation for cytoreductive surgery. | Huan Zhang Weixing Dai Caixia Fu Xu Yan Alto Stemmer Tong Tong Guoxiang Cai | 2018 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,2: | 3 |

| 7 | Germanium nanopyramid arrays showing near-100% absorption in the visible regime显示文摘Solar energy is regarded as one of the most plentiful sources of renewable energy. An extraordinary light-harvesting property of a germanium periodic nanopyramid array is reported in this Letter. Both our theoretical and experimental results demonstrate that the nanopyramid array can achieve perfect broadband absorption from 500- to 800-nm wavelength. Especially in the visible regime, the experimentally measured absorption can even reach 100%. | 14 | Fabrication of the beam splitters for soft X-ray laser application显示文摘The soft X-ray interferometry is completed by the Mach-Zehnder interferometer using a soft X-ray laser, and it is also an important method to measure the electron densities of a laser-produced plasma near the critical surface. It is apparently demonstrated in this paper that the incident angle of each optical element in the soft X-ray Mach- Zehnder interferometer should be near normal incidence based on the polarized characteristics of the soft X-ray mul-tilayers, and the product of reflectivity and transmission of the beam splitter should be taken as a standard of design according to the structure of the soft X-ray Mach-Zehnder interferometer. The beam splitters used in the soft X-ray interferometry at 13.9 nm are fabricated using the ion beam sputtering.
