GENERATING EXACT NONLINEAR RANKING FUNCTIONS BY SYMBOLIC-NUMERIC HYBRID METHOD显示文摘This paper presents a hybrid symbolic-numeric algorithm to compute ranking functions for establishing the termination of loop programs with polynomial guards and polynomial assignments. The authors first transform the problem into a parameterized polynomial optimization problem, and obtain a numerical ranking function using polynomial sum-of-squares relaxation via semidefinite programming(SDP).A rational vector recovery algorithm is deployed to recover a rational polynomial from the numerical ranking function, and some symbolic computation techniques are used to certify that this polynomial is an exact ranking function of the loop programs. At last, the authors demonstrate on some polynomial loop programs from the literature that our algorithm successfully yields nonlinear ranking functions with rational coefficients. | SHEN Liyong WU Min YANG Zhengfeng ZENG Zhenbing | 2013 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2013,26,2: | 5
Mitigating end effects of EMD using non-equidistance grey model显示文摘Aiming at mitigating end effects of empirical mode decomposition (EMD), a new approach motivated by the nonequidistance grey model (NGM) termed as NGM(1,1) is proposed. Other than trapezoid formulas, the cubic Hermite spline is put forward to improve the accuracy of derivative to the accumulated generating operation (AGO) series. Hopefully, it is worth stressing that the proposed NGM(1,1) model is particularly useful for predicting uncertainty data. Qualitative and quantitative comparisons between the proposed approach and other well-known algorithms are carried out through computer simulations on synthetic as well as natural signals. Simulation results demonstrate the proposed method can reduce end effects and improve the decomposition results of EMD. | Zhi He Yi Shen Qiang Wang Yan Wang Naizhang Feng Liyong Ma | 2012 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2012,23,4: | 4

A proposed direct measurement of cross section at Gamow window for key reaction 19F(p,α) 16O in Asymptotic Giant Branch stars with a planned accelerator in CJPL显示文摘In 2014, the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) approved the Jinping Underground Nuclear Astrophysics laboratory(JUNA) project, which aims at direct cross-section measurements of four key stellar nuclear reactions right down to the Gamow windows. In order to solve the observed fluorine overabundances in Asymptotic Giant Branch(AGB) stars, measuring the key ^(19)F( p,α)^(16)O reaction at effective burning energies(i.e., at Gamow window) is established as one of the scientific research sub-projects. The present paper describes this sub-project in details, including motivation, status, experimental setup, yield and background estimation, aboveground test, as well as other relevant reactions. | JianJun He ShiWei Xu ShaoBo Ma Jun Hu LiYong Zhang ChangBo Fu NingTao Zhang Gang Lian Jun Su YunJu Li ShengQuan Yan YangPing Shen SuQing Hou BaoLu Jia Tao Zhang XiaoPeng Zhang Bing Guo Shigeru Kubono WeiPing Liu | 2016 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2016,59,5: | 3
Determination and(Re)Parametrization of Rational Developable Surfaces显示文摘The developable surface is an important surface in computer aided design, geometric modeling and industrial manufactory. It is often given in the standard parametric form, but it can also be in the implicit form which is commonly used in algebraic geometry. Not all algebraic developable surfaces have rational parametrizations. In this paper, the authors focus on the rational developable surfaces. For a given algebraic surface, the authors ?rst determine whether it is developable by geometric inspection, and then give a rational proper parametrization in the affrmative case. For a rational parametric surface, the authors also determine the developability and give a proper reparametrization for the developable surface. | SHEN Liyong PREZ-DíAZ Sonia | 2015 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2015,28,6: | 3
Tool Orientation Optimization and Path Planning for 5-Axis Machining显示文摘Tool path generation is a fundamental problem in 5-axis CNC machining, which consists of tool orientation planning and cutter-contact(CC) point planning. The planning strategy highly depends on the type of tool cutters. For ball-end cutters, the tool orientation and CC point location can be planned separately;while for flat end cutters, the two are highly dependent on each other. This paper generates a smooth tool path of workpiece surfaces for flat end mills from two stages: Computing smooth tool orientations on the surface without gouging and collisions and then designing the CC point path. By solving the tool posture optimization problem the authors achieve both the path smoothness and the machining efficiency. Experimental results are provided to show the effectiveness of the method. | YUAN Chunming MI Zhenpeng JIA Xiaohong LIN Fengming SHEN Liyong | 2021 | Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2021,34,1: | 3
In-plane coherent control of plasmon resonances for plasmonic switching and encoding显示文摘Considerable attention has been paid recently to coherent control of plasmon resonances in metadevices for potential applications in all-optical light-with-light signal modulation and image processing.Previous reports based on out-ofplane coherent control of plasmon resonances were established by modulating the position of a metadevice in standing waves. Here we show that destructive and constructive absorption can be realized in metallic nano-antennas through in-plane coherent control of plasmon resonances, which is determined by the distribution rule of electricalfield components of nano-antennas.We provide proof-of-principle demonstrations of plasmonic switching effects in a gold nanodisk monomer and dimer, and propose a plasmonic encoding strategy in a gold nanodisk chain.In-plane coherent control of plasmon resonances may open a new avenue toward promising applications in optical spectral enhancement, imaging, nanolasing, and optical communication in nanocircuits. | Liyong Jiang Tingting Yin Alexander M.Dubrovkin Zhaogang Dong Yuntian Chen Weijin Chen Joel K.W.Yang Zexiang Shen | 2019 | Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1: | 2
Local spatial properties based image interpolation scheme using SVMs显示文摘Image interpolation plays an important role in image process applications. A novel support vector machines (SVMs) based interpolation scheme is proposed with increasing the local spatial properties in the source image as SVMs input patterns. After the proper neighbor pixels region is selected, trained support vectors are obtained by training SVMs with local spatial properties that include the average of the neighbor pixels gray values and the gray value variations between neighbor pixels in the selected region. The support vector regression machines are employed to estimate the gray values of unknown pixels with the neighbor pixels and local spatial properties information. Some interpolation experiments show that the proposed scheme is superior to the linear, cubic, neural network and other SVMs based interpolation approaches. | Ma Liyong Shen Yi Ma Jiachen | 2008 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2008,19,3: | 2
Divergent responses of soil carbon and nitrogen pools to short-term nitrogen addition between two plantations in Northeast China显示文摘Nitrogen(N)deposition has a profound influence on forest soil carbon(C)and N pools, but there was no consensus on the responses of different C and N components in different forest types. In this study,a two-year simulated N deposition experiment with four levels of N(NH4NO3)-addition treatments(0,50,100,and 150 kg N/hm^(2)·a)were conducted in Larix gmelinii(LG)and Quercus mongolica(QM)plantation in Northeast China,in order to investigate the C and N pool dynamics under continuously enhanced N deposition.Soil organic carbon(SOC),soil total N(STN)and their active components(readily oxidizable C,ROC;dissolved organic C,DOC;microbial biomass C,MBC,dissolved organic N,DON;microbial biomass N,MBN)of the forest soil were measured monthly from May to October 2017.C and N contents in LG were observed higher than in QM.N addition had no effect on SOC and STN of LG,but significantly increased SOC and STN of QM at low N addition level.Low N addition generally raised active C components(ROC,DOC,and MBC)in both plantations, whereas high N addition did not significantly affect these components,or even decreased ROC in LG soil.Low N addition also increased STN and MBN of QM,while no significant change in STN and MBN of LG was observed.DON was directly affected by N addition and increased significantly with elevated N addition levels. The results indicated that N addition, especially of low rate, might enhance the C sequestration capacity of the forest soils and mitigate climate change. | Yedong Li Bo Wang Sen Dou Haoyue Shen Liyong Mei Yang Zhang Ximing Zeng Yaya Zhang Yameng Pei Haoye Ren Shimin Wu | 2019 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6: | 1

Association Mapping of Quantitative Trait Loci for Grain Size in Introgression Line Derived from Oryza rufipogon显示文摘Grain size is one of the critical agronomic traits governing grain yield and quality in rice. However, the underlying genetic mechanisms that control grain size in rice are poorly understood. We used an introgression line derived from Zhonghui 8015 and Oryza rufipogon Griff. This introgression line was evaluated under two different environmental conditions to dissect the quantitative trait loci controlling grain size.Genome-wide association study(GWAS)was performed using 28193 SNPs through a general linear model, and 56 significant SNPs on different loci associated with the 4 grain size traits were detected.Cloned genes including GS3 and q GL3 showed substantial effects on grain length and size.Seven new stable loci were identified with pleiotropic effects on grain size.Haplotype, gene expression analyses, combined gene-based associations, and functional annotations permitted the shortlisting of important dominant genes including GS3 and q GL3. | Kashif HUSSAIN ZHANG Yingxing Workie ANLEY Aamir RIAZ Adil ABBAS MdHasanuzzaman RANI WANG Hong SHEN Xihong CAO Liyong CHENG Shihua | 2020 | Rice science2020,27,3: | 0
Formation mechanism of tight sandstone gas in areas of low hydrocarbon generation intensity: A case study of the Upper Paleozoic in north Tianhuan depression in Ordos Basin, NW China显示文摘The Upper Paleozoic in the north part of Tianhuan depression in the Ordos Basin,NW China has lower hydrocarbon generation intensity and complex gas-water relationship, the main factors controlling the formation of tight sandstone gas and the distribution of tight sandstone gas in the low hydrocarbon generation intensity area are studied.Through two-dimensional physical simulation experiment of hydrocarbon accumulation, analysis of reservoir micro-pore-throat hydrocarbon system and dissection of typical gas reservoirs, the evaluation models of gas injection pressure, reservoir physical property, and gas generation threshold were established to determine the features of tight gas reservoirs in low hydrocarbon intensity area:(1)at the burial depth of less than 3 000 m,the hydrocarbon generation intensity ofis high enough to maintain effective charging;(2)tight sandstone in large scale occurrence is conducive to accumulation of tight gas;(3)differences in reservoir physical property control the distribution of gas pool, for the channel sandstone reservoirs, ones with better physical properties generally concentrate in the middle of sandstone zone and local structural highs;ones with poor physical properties have low gas content generally.Based on the dissection of the gas reservoir in the north Tianhuan depression, the formation of tight gas reservoirs in low hydrocarbon generating intensity area are characterized by'long term continuous charging under hydrocarbon generation pressure, gas accumulation in large scale tight sandstone, pool control by difference in reservoir physical property, and local sweet spot',and the tight gas pools are distributed in discontinuous'sheets'on the plane. This understanding has been proved by expanding exploration of tight sandstone gas in the north Tianhuan depression. | ZHANG Fudong LI Jun WEI Guoqi LIU Xinshe GUO Jianying LI Jian FAN Liyong SHE Yuanqi GUAN Hui YANG Shen SHAO Liyan | 2018 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2018,45,1: | 0

Plasmonic evolution maps for planar metamaterials显示文摘Understanding the mode’s origin in planar metamaterials is fundamental for related applications in nanophotonics and plasmonics. For complex planar metamaterials, conventional analysis that directly obtains the final charge/current distribution of a mode is usually difficult in helping to understand the mode’s origin. In this paper,we propose a mode evolution method(MEM)with a core analysis tool,i.e.,plasmonic evolution maps(PEMs),to describe the mode evolution in several complementary planar metamaterials with designed plasmonic atoms/molecules.The PEMs could not only clearly explain a mode’s origin, but also reveal the role of a structure’s symmetry in the mode formation process. The MEM with PEMs can work as a simple, efficient, and universal approach for the mode analysis in different kinds of planar metamaterials. | LIYONG JIANG JIANLI JIANG ZEBIN ZHU GUANGHUI YUAN MING KANG ZE XIANG SHEN | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,1: | 0
