| 1 | Simulation of rainfall-runoff and watershed convergence process in the upper reaches of Heihe River Basin,July 2002显示文摘The watershed flow concentration scheme in the distributed hydrology-soil- vegetation model (DHSVM) is coupled with the mesoscale atmospheric model MM5 version 3.5, in which the Oregen States University land surface model (OSULSM) was involved. The flood event which happened in July 2002 in the upper reaches of Heihe river basin is simulated and the surface flow convergence process is shown with this coupled model. It has been concluded that times water head reaches each place of the basin are different. Water amount at each point is split-flow proportionally as the drops in elevation between it and neighbor points. | 3 | Fate of PM2.5-bound PAHs in Xiangyang, central China during 2018 Chinese spring festival: Influence of fireworks burning and air-mass transport显示文摘Variations of levels,possible source and air mass transmission were investigated for 16 USEPA priority-controlled PAHs in PM2.5 during 2018 Chinese Spring Festival(CSF)in Xiangyang City,central China which is the North-South pollutant airmass transport channel of China.Totally 37 samples were collected.Mass concentrations of 16 PAHs for the Pre–CSF day(Pre–CSFD),during the CSF day(CSFD)and after the CSF day(Af–CSFD)are 33.78±17.68 ng/m3,22.98±6.49 ng/m3,and 8.99±4.44 ng/m3,respectively.High resolution samples showed that 16 PAHs are higher in the morning(06:00–11:00)or afternoon(11:30–16:30),than those in the evening(17:00–22:00)and at night(22:30–05:30),whereas the result is reversed during the CSFD.Fireworks burning can obviously increase the mass concentration of PAHs.Air mass trajectory indicated that Xiangyang is a sink area of pollutants for northwest and southeast,and the sources of the northeast and southwest.The air mass only can be transmitted out through northeast and southwest.It is effective for improvement of air quality in Wuhan and Hunan to control fireworks emission in Henan and local areas.Fireworks burning was an important source for PAHs during CSFD,biomass,coal combustion,and traffic emission were the main sources of PAHs for Pre–CSFD and Af–CSFD periods.The health risk on the CSFD was higher than the acceptable levels,especially during the intensive fireworks burning,the risk value far exceed 1.0×10^-4,controlling burning fireworks is required. | Tianpeng Hu Yao Mao Weijie Liu Cheng Cheng Mingming Shi Zhanle Chen Qian Tian Jiaquan Zhang Shihua Qi Xinli Xing | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,11: | 6 |
| 4 | Effects of GS3 and GL3.1 for Grain Size Editing by CRISPR/Cas9 in Rice显示文摘Grain size is one of key agronomic traits associated with grain yield and grain quality. Both major quantitative trait loci GS3 and GL3.1 play a predominant role in negative regulation of grain size. In this study, a CRISPR/Cas9-mediated multiplex genome editing system was used to simultaneously edit GS3 and GL3.1 in a typical japonica rice Nipponbare. In T1 generation, we found that gs3 formed slender grain with lower chalkiness percentage, while gs3gl3.1 produced larger grain with higher chalkiness percentage. In terms of other agronomic traits, flag leaf size, grain number and grain yield of both gs3 and gs3gl3.1 mutants were affected. It is noteworthy that gs3 and gs3gl3.1 mutants both led to dramatical reduction of grain number, thereby decreased grain yield. | 15 | Response of Freezing/Thawing Indexes to the Wetting Trend under Warming Climate Conditions over the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau during 1961–2010:A Numerical Simulation显示文摘Since the 1990s,the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau(QTP)has experienced a strikingly warming and wetter climate that alters the thermal and hydrological properties of frozen ground.A positive correlation between the warming and thermal degradation in permafrost or seasonally frozen ground(SFG)has long been recognized.Still,a predictive relationship between historical wetting under warming climate conditions and frozen ground has not yet been well demonstrated,despite the expectation that it will become even more important because precipitation over the QTP has been projected to increase continuously in the near future.This study investigates the response of the thermal regime to historical wetting in both permafrost and SFG areas and examines their relationships separately using the Community Land Surface Model version 4.5.Results show that wetting before the 1990s across the QTP mainly cooled the permafrost body in the arid and semiarid zones,with significant correlation coefficients of 0.60 and 0.48,respectively.Precipitation increased continually at the rate of 6.16 mm decade–1 in the arid zone after the 1990s but had a contrasting warming effect on permafrost through a significant shortening of the thawing duration within the active layer.However,diminished rainfall in the humid zone after the 1990s also significantly extended the thawing duration of SFG.The relationship between the ground thawing index and precipitation was significantly negatively correlated(−0.75).The dual effects of wetting on the thermal dynamics of the QTP are becoming critical because of the projected increases in future precipitation. | Xuewei FANG Zhi LI Chen CHENG Klaus FRAEDRICH Anqi WANG Yihui CHEN Yige XU Shihua LYU | 2023 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2023,40,2: | 0 |

| 17 | Fine mapping and candidate gene analysis of qHD1b,a QTL that promotes flowering in common wild rice(Oryza rufipogon)by up-regulating Ehd1显示文摘Heading date(flowering time)determines the adaptability of cultivars to different environments.We report the fine mapping and candidate gene analysis of qHD1b,a quantitative trait locus(QTL)responsible for early flowering that was derived from common wild rice(O.rufipogon)under both short-day and longday conditions.The introgression line IL7391,which carried segments from common wild rice in a Zhonghui 8015(ZH8015)background,exhibited early heading compared to the background and was crossed with ZH8015 to generate BC_(5)F_(2:3) families for QTL analysis.This enabled the identification of two heading-date QTL,named qHD1b and qHD7,of which the first was selected for further research.High-resolution linkage analysis was performed in BC_(5)F_(4:5) and BC_(5)F_(6) populations,and the location of qHD1b was confined to a 112.7-kb interval containing 17 predicted genes.Five of these genes contained polymorphisms in the promoter or coding regions and were thus considered as candidates.Expression analysis revealed a positive association between LOC_Os01g11940 expression and early heading.This locus was annotated as OsFTL1,which encodes an ortholog of Arabidopsis Flowering Locus T and was the most likely candidate gene for qHD1b.Our study revealed that qHD1b acts as a floral activator that promotes flowering by up-regulating Ehd1,Hd3a,RFT1,OsMADS14,and OsMADS15 under both shortday and long-day conditions.Field experiments showed that qHD1b affected several yield-related agronomic traits including 1000-grain weight and grain length.qHD1b could be useful for marker-assisted selection and breeding of early-maturing cultivars. | Ling Liu Yingxin Zhang Zhengfu Yang Qinqin Yang Yue Zhang Peng Xu Jiaxin Li Anowerul Islam Liaqat Shah Xiaodeng Zhan Liyong Cao Shihua Cheng Weixun Wu | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,4: | 0 |
| 18 | iHypoxia:An Integrative Database of Protein Expression Dynamics in Response to Hypoxia in Animals显示文摘Mammals have evolved mechanisms to sense hypoxia and induce hypoxic responses.Recently,high-throughput techniques have greatly promoted global studies of protein expression changes during hypoxia and the identification of candidate genes associated with hypoxiaadaptive evolution,which have contributed to the understanding of the complex regulatory networks of hypoxia.In this study,we developed an integrated resource for the expression dynamics of proteins in response to hypoxia(iHypoxia),and this database contains 2589 expression events of 1944 proteins identified by low-throughput experiments(LTEs)and 422,553 quantitative expression events of 33,559 proteins identified by high-throughput experiments from five mammals that exhibit a response to hypoxia.Various experimental details,such as the hypoxic experimental conditions,expression patterns,and sample types,were carefully collected and integrated.Furthermore,8788 candidate genes from diverse species inhabiting low-oxygen environments were also integrated.In addition,we conducted an orthologous search and computationally identified 394,141 proteins that may respond to hypoxia among 48 animals.An enrichment analysis of human proteins identified from LTEs shows that these proteins are enriched in certain drug targets and cancer genes.Annotation of known posttranslational modification(PTM)sites in the proteins identified by LTEs reveals that these proteins undergo extensive PTMs,particularly phosphorylation,ubiquitination,and acetylation.iHypoxia provides a convenient and user-friendly method for users to obtain hypoxia-related information of interest. | Ze-Xian Liu Panqin Wang Qingfeng Zhang Shihua Li Yuxin Zhang Yutong Guo Chongchong Jia Tian Shao Lin Li Han Cheng Zhenlong Wang | 2023 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,2: | 0 |
