2Protective effects of Jiayan Kangtai granules on autoimmune thyroiditis in a rat model by modulating Th17/Treg cell balance显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the protective effects of Jiayan Kangtai(JYKT) granules, consisting of 9 Chinese herbs, in a rat model of autoimmune thyroiditis(AIT), and the possible underlying mechanism.METHODS: Female Lewis rats(6-8 weeks) were randomly apportioned to 5 groups of 10, including a normal control. AIT was induced in the untreated AIT-model group, and rats treated subsequently with daily low, medium, or high dose JYKT granules. After 12 weeks, plasma levels of thyroid autoantibodies and morphological changes in the thyroid were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and histological examination, respectively. The presence of interleukin(IL)-6,IL23 p19, and IL-2 in thyroid tissue was assessed by immunohistochemical staining. The percentages of T helper(Th)17 cells and regulatory T cells(Tregs) in the peripheral blood were analyzed by flow cytometry. Relevant levels of cytokines and proteins were examined via bead-based multiplex flow cytometry and ELISA, respectively. Expressions of genes and proteins regulated by Th17 cells and Tregs were shown by real-time PCR and Western blot.RESULTS: Compared to the control, AIT-model rats had higher plasma concentrations of thyroid autoantibodies. The high-dose JYKT rats showed significantly lower levels of thyroid autoantibodies compared with the AIT model group. Rats in the AIT-JYKT groups also had fewer thyroid lesions and less lymphocytic infiltration, a lower percentage of Th17 cells, and a higher percentage of Tregs, compared with the AIT-model. Rats given high-dose JYKT had a significantly lower Th17/Treg ratio compared with the AIT model. Differences in plasma cytokine concentrations and relevant gene and protein expressions in the spleens of JYKT-treated rats and the AIT group suggested an association between JYKT treatment and lower Th17 cell percentage and higher Treg activity.CONCLUSION: JYKT treatment appeared to be protective against AIT in rats, possibly via the regulation of the Th17 cell/Treg imbalance in AIT.Hou Yi Wang Tieshan Guo Xiangyu Sun Wen Guo Xuan Wu Lili Qin Lingling Zhang Chengfei Liu Tonghua 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,3:9

4Design of Anti-Collision Integrated Security Mechanism Based on Chaotic Sequence in UHF RFID System显示文摘Collision and security issues are considered as barriers to RFID applications.In this paper,a parallelizable anti-collision based on chaotic sequence combined dynamic frame slotted aloha to build a high-efficiency RFID system is proposed.In the tags parallelizable identification,we design a Discrete Markov process to analyze the success identification rate.Then a mutual authentication security protocol merging chaotic anti-collision is presented.The theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed identification scheme has less than 45.1%of the identification time slots compared with the OVSF-system when the length of the chaos sequence is 31.The success identification rate of the proposed chaotic anti-collision can achieve 63%when the number of the tag is100.We test the energy consumption of the presented authentication protocol,which can simultaneously solve the anti-collision and security of the UHF RFID system.YUE Keqiang SUN Lingling QIN Xing ZHENG Zhonghua 2014China Communications2014,11,3:5
5Prediction of geotemperatures in coal-bearing strata and implications for coal bed methane accumulation in the Bide-Santang basin,western Guizhou,China显示文摘The geothermal fields of coal-bearing strata have become a key topic in geological research into coal and coal bed methane(CBM).Based on temperature data from 135 boreholes that penetrate the Upper Permian coal-bearing strata in the Bide-Santang basin,western Guizhou,the precisions of geothermal predictions made using a geothermal gradient model and a gray sequence GM(1,1)model are analyzed and compared.The results indicate that the gray sequence GM(1,1)model is more appropriate for the prediction of geothermal fields.The GM(1,1)model is used to predict the geothermal field at three levels with depths of 500,1000,and 1500 m,as well as within the No.6,No.16,and No.27 coal seams.The results indicate that the geotemperatures of the 500 m depth level are between 21.0 and 30.0°C,indicating no heat damage;the geotemperatures of the 1000 m depth level are between 29.4 and 44.7°C,indicating the first level of heat damage;and the geotemperatures of the 1500 m depth level are between35.6 and 63.4°C,indicating the second level of heat damage.The CBM contents are positively correlated with the geotemperatures of the coal seams.The target area for CBM development is identified.Chen Guo Yong Qin Dongmin Ma Zhaobiao Yang Lingling Lu 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,2:4
6Antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic action of cinnamaldehyde in C57blks/j Db/db mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of cinnamaldehyde(CA),an active and major compound in cinnamon,on glucose metabolism and insulin resistance in C57BLKS/J db/db mice.METHODS:Sixteen male C57BLKS db/db mice were randomly divided into control and CA treatment groups.CA was given(20 mg.kg-1.day-1,p.o.) for 4 weeks.Pure water was given to control and db/+ mice.Subsequently,the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG),fasting serum insulin,triglyeride,cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C),and free fatty acids(FFA),as well as the mRNA content of adiponectin and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α in adipose tissue,glucose transporter type 4(GLUT-4) in skeletal muscle,and protein expressions of Akt,phospho-Akt(Thr308),AMPKα,phospho-AMPKα(Thr172) in skeletal muscle were measured.RESULTS:1) CA decreased serum levels of FBG and insulin as well as body weight in db/db mice;2) CA increased serum HDL-C levels;3) CA significantly decreased the mRNA expression of TNF-α in adipose tissue and upregulated mRNA expression of GLUT-4 in skeletal muscle;4) protein expression of p-Akt was increased in CA-treated mice,but Akt,AMPKα and p-AMPKα showed no change.CONCLUSION:CA has antihyperglycemic and antihyperlipidemic actions in db/db mice and could be useful in the treatment of type-2 diabetes.Juane Li Tonghua Liu Lei Wang Xiangyu Guo Tunhai Xu Lili Wu Lingling Qin Wen Sun 2012Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2012,32,3:4
7Tangnaikang improves insulin resistance and β-cell apoptosis by ameliorating metabolic inflammation in SHR.Cg-Lepr^(cp)/NDmcr rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Tangnaikang(TNK), a mixture of five herbal plant extracts,on inflammation-mediated insulin resistance andβ-cell apoptosis in SHR.Cg-Leprcp/NDmcr(SHR-cp)rats.METHODS: Seven-week-old SHR-cp rats were randomly divided into a control(CON) group and a TNK(3.24 g/kg) group. Wistar-Kyoto rats at the same age were used as the normal control group.After 7 weeks of continuous intragastric administration of TNK, the glucose metabolic status and insulin sensitivity of the rats were evaluated by assessing fasting serum glucose(FBG), the oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT), fasting serum insulin(FINS),and the insulin sensitivity index(ISI). Serum tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin-6(IL-6), C-reactive protein(CRP) and adiponectin were measured via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.Macrophage infiltration and apoptosis in adipose tissues were detected through F4/80 immunohistochemistry and the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase d UTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) assay. Islet morphology and β-cell apoptosis were investigated using double immunofluorescence staining and the TUNEL assay. The expression of cytokine genes in adipose tissue, the liver, and the pancreas was detected in real-time polymerase chain reaction assays. The expression and phosphorylation levels of insulin signaling-, inflammation-, and β-cell survival-related proteins in the liver and pancreas of SHR-cp rats were detected by western blotting.RESULTS: TNK(3.24 g/kg) treatment significantly decreased body weight, FBG and FINS; improved impaired glucose tolerance; increased the ISI; reduced serum levels of TNF-α, CRP and IL-6; and increased serum adiponectin. The m RNA expression of inflammatory markers was markedly reduced in the liver, pancreas, and adipose tissue. F4/80-and TUNEL-positive cells in adipose tissues were decreased, as was the number of TUNEL-positiveβ-cells. 8Preparation and modulation of a novel thin-walled carbon foam显示文摘By foaming and carbonization processes under atmospheric pressure, a novel thin-walled carbon foam with developed foam structure was successfully prepared from loose medium component(LMC) separated from raw coal by extraction and back-extraction method. The influences of foaming time, carbonization time, and micromolecule content on foam structure were investigated by scanning electron microscope and mercury injection data. Moreover, foaming mechanism of LMC was analyzed and expounded. The results showed that spherical pores and uniform ultrathin pore walls constitute threedimensional foam structure of carbon foam and foam structure is developed with well connectivity.The effects of foaming time, carbonization time, and micromolecule content on foam structure are significant. Especially, average pore diameters of carbon foams prepared from the extracts of LMC are much smaller. 9Pore Structure and Permeability Characterization of Highrank Coal Reservoirs: A Case of the Bide-Santang Basin, Western Guizhou, South China显示文摘The methods of nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectroscopy,mercury injection porosimetry(MIP),and gas-water relative permeability(GWRP)were used to reveal the pore structure and permeability characteristics of high-rank coal reservoirs in the Bide-Santang basin,western Guizhou,South China,to provide guidance for coalbed methane(CBM)exploration and exploitation and obtain direct insights for the development of CBM wells.The results indicate that the coal reservoirs in the study area are characterized by well-developed adsorption pores and poorly developed seepage pores.The bimodal NMR transverse relaxation time(T2)spectra and the mutation in the fractal characteristic of the MIP pore volume indicate poor connectivity between the adsorption pores and the seepage pores.As a result,the effective porosity is relatively low,with an average of 1.70%.The irreducible water saturation of the coal reservoir is relatively high,with an average of 66%,leading to a low gas relative permeability under irreducible water saturation.This is the main reason for the low recovery of high-rank CBM reservoirs,and effective enhanced CBM recovery technology urgently is needed.As a nondestructive and less time-consuming technique,the NMR is a promising method to quantitatively characterize the pores and fractures of coals.GUO Chen QIN Yong MA Dongmin XIA Yucheng BAO Yuan CHEN Yue LU Lingling 2020Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2020,94,2:3
10Novel strategy of constructing fluorescent probe for MAO-B via cascade reaction and its application in imaging MAO-B in human astrocyte显示文摘To detect monoamine oxidase B(MAO-B), the level of which is one of the most important indicators of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease, a new type of cascade reaction based on the formation of coumarin was applied in this research. After the reaction with MAO-B, the protecting group of hydroxyl group in probes(DEAN-MA and DEAB-MA) was removed, and the fluorescence intensity significantly increased(l_(em) 456 nm) as the structure of coumarin was formed subsequently. The probes showed excellent sensitivity and selectivity to MAO-B. The detection limit of DEAN-MA and DEAB-MA were 0.6ng/mL and 0.2 ng/mL, respectively. 11Trans-cinnamaldehyde promotes nitric oxide release via the protein kinase-B/v-Akt murine thymoma viral oncogene-endothelial nitric oxide synthase pathway to alleviate hypertension in SHR.Cg-Lepr^(cp)/NDmcr rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate whether endothelial dysfunction and hypertension are prevented by trans-cinnamaldehyde(t CA) through the activation of endothelial nitric oxide synthase(e NOS).METHODS:Human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs) were cultured in vitro and stimulated with t CA to determine cell viability using the methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay.The effect of t CA on nitric oxide(NO) production was determined by diaminofluorescein-dyes in the absence or presence of inhibitors of e NOS,AMPK,PKA,and AKT.The effect of t CA on blood pressure was determined by the tail-cuff method in obesity spontaneous hypertension(SHR.Cg-Leprcp/NDmcr) rats.The phosphorylation of e NOS and protein expression of the insulin-signaling pathway(Ins R-IRS1-PI3 K-AKT)were measured by western blot.RESULTS:t CA at concentrations less than 100 μM did not affect cell viability in cultured HUVECs.Stimulation with t CA promoted NO release in a time-dependent manner compared with the control group.t CA-treated HUVECs also significantly increased AKT-Ser473 and e NOS-Ser1177 phosphorylation.In SHR-CP rats,treatment with t CA at a dose of 40 mg/kg/day for 6 weeks markedly reduced the systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure,increased the phosphorylation of AKT and e NOS,and increased urinary nitric oxidation.CONCLUSION:t CA attenuated endothelial dysfunction and reduced blood pressure in SHR-CP rats.The underlying mechanisms may involve the increase in AKT and e NOS phosphorylation and the release of e NOS-derived NO.Zhang Lu Wu Lili Liu Ximing Yoshitomi Hisae Ikeda Katsumi Negishi Hiroko Pan Yajing Sun Wen Qin Lingling Li Juan-E Xu Tunhai Liu Tonghua Gao Ming 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,4:2

15Choline acetyltransferase expressed by radial neuroglia cells in the development of telencephalon: A validated study显示文摘BACKGROUND: Cholinergic neuron directly participants in human motion, learning and memory and is a target cell for multiple degenerative diseases of central nervous system. OBJECTIVE: To investigate whether the mitotic cell is the radial glial cell expressing choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) in ventricle zone (VZ) of telencephalon and whether cholinergic neuron is derived from radial glial cell in ventricle zone of telencephalon. DESIGN: Observational study. SETTING: Department of Histology and Embryology, Basic Medical College of Jilin University. MATERIALS: Nine healthy Wistar rats included 6 females and 3 male. Male and female rats were mated routinely, and the day when spermatozoa or vaginal plug were found was regarded as embryonic 0 (E0). Primary monoclonal antibodies ChAT and vimentin were provided respectively by Wuhan Boster Company, and Biogenex Company, USA. METHODS: The experiment was carried out in the Laboratory of Cell Culture and Immunohistochemistry, Department of Histology and Embryology from march 2002 to January 2003. Firstly, fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) was used to confirm the time of generation of cholinergic neuron; secondly, telencephalons of rats at embryonic 14 days (E14) were performed coronary sections, then immunohistochemistry double staining for vimentin (a protein marker of radial neuroglia cell) and ChAT (a protein marker of cholinergic neuron) were used to test whether ChAT was expressed in the radial neuroglia cells. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Fluorescence-activated cell numbers of ChAT in telencephalon; ② results of immunohistochemistry double staining. RESULTS: It is confirmed using by flow cytometer that embryogenesis time of cholinergic neuron was at E12,and shown the population of cells in VZ of dorsal telencephalon of E14 rat co-expressed vimentin and ChAT through immunohistochemistry double staining. A lot of vimentin-positive cells and ChAT-positive cells respectively were observed in VZ of lateral ganglionic eminence. 16Evaluation on Resource Utilization Potential of Typical Agricultural Waste in Southwest China显示文摘To impel resource utilization of agricultural waste,four provinces and cities of southwest China were taken as research objects,to analyze yield change of typical agricultural waste in southwest China during 2010-2016,and resource amounts of typical agricultural crops straw and livestock and poultry waste and their nutrient contents in four provinces and cities of southwest China in 2016 were calculated. The results showed that resource amount of typical agricultural waste in southwest China overall showed a continuously increasing trend with the improvement of agricultural comprehensive productivity. Straw resource amount of agricultural crops was dominant by rice and corn,and they accounted for 61. 61% of total amount in southwest China. Livestock and poultry manure was dominant by cattle and pig excrement,and they accounted for 89. 59% of total in southwest China. Seen from distribution region,the resource amount sequence of typical agricultural waste in southwest China was Sichuan > Yunnan > Guizhou > Chongqing. N,P_2 O_5 and K_2 O in straw resource of typical agricultural crops in southwest China of 2016 were respectively 76. 11 ×10~4,23.36 ×10~4 and 125. 78 × 10~4 t,and total nutrient amount was 22. 53 × 10~5 t. 17Auricular vagus nerve acupressure for patients with emotional distress under the COVID-19 pandemic:A smartphone-based,randomized controlled trial显示文摘Objective: To confirm whether self-administered AVNA treatment is effective in improving emotional distressunder the COVID-19 pandemic.Methods: A smartphone-based online, randomized, controlled trial was designed from 26 February 2020 to 28April 2020 in four study sites, including Wuhan, Beijing, Shenyang, and Guangzhou of China. Local residentswho had considerable emotional distress with a score of the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) ≥9 were recruited. Participants were randomly assigned to three times of AVNA (n = 191) per day, in morning,around noon, and in evening or usual care (UC, n = 215) once daily for 14 days. The primary outcome was theresponse rate, which was the proportion of participants whose Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS)score reduced from baseline by ≥ 50%. The assessment was conducted at baseline, 3 days, and 14 days.Results: The AVNA group had a markedly higher response rate than the UC group at 3 days (35.6% vs. 24.9%,P = 0.02) and at 14 days (70.7% vs. 60.6%, P = 0.02). The AVNA group showed significantly greater reductionin scores of HADS at the two measurement points and BAI at 3 days (P ≤ 0.03), with average respective effectsize of 0.217 and 0.195. Participants with AVNA spent less time falling asleep and rated their sleep qualitybeing remarkably higher than those with UC at endpoint.Conclusion: During COVID-19 pandemic period, treatment with self-administrated AVNA was more effectivethan UC in reducing emotional distress of isolated populations. 20Hydration Characteristics and Mechanical Properties of Cement-Based Materials Modified by Calcined Zeolite and Montmorillonite显示文摘Montmorillonite and clinoptilolite zeolite were used as representative materials to prepare calcined clay-cement binary cementitious materials in order to study the effect of calcination treatment on the activation of clay minerals and the activity difference between layered and framed clays in this research.The influence of different calcined clay content(2%,4%,6%,8%,10%)on the fluidity,compressive strength,microstructure,phase change,and hydration heat of cement-based materials were analyzed.The calcined clay improves the fluidity of cement-based materials as compared with the uncalcined group.The addition of calcined montmorillonite(CMT)improves the development of mechanical strength,and the optimal compressive strength reaches 85 MPa at 28 days with 8%CMT.However,the activity of calcined clinoptilolite zeolite(CZL)is weak with few reaction sites,which slightly reduced the mechanical strength as compared to the blank sample.The addition of CMT changes the microscopic morphology of hydration products such as C-S-H and C-A-H,leading to the formation and transformation of ettringite in the early stage.It promotes the gradual polymerization of Si-O bonds into Si-O-Si bonds simultaneously,which accelerates the early hydration process.However,CZL acts mainly as a filling function in the cementitious system.In brief,CMT as an admixture can improve the mechanical properties of cement,but CZL has little effect.This work provides a guideline for the applications of calcined clay in cement,considering the influence of clay type on workability and mechanical strength.Lingling Qin Mengya Zhou Jiahao Yan Ping Duan Yingcan Zhu Wei Chen Zuhua Zhang Aiguo Wang 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,5:0
