1Advances in longitudinal studies of amnestic mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease based on multi-modal MRI techniques显示文摘Amnestic mild cognitive impairment(aMCI) is a prodromal stage of Alzheimer's disease(AD), and 75%–80% of aMCI patients fi nally develop AD. So, early identifi cation of patients with aMCI or AD is of great signifi cance for prevention and intervention. According to cross-sectional studies, it is known that the hippocampus, posterior cingulate cortex, and corpus callosum are key areas in studies based on structural MRI(sMRI), functional MRI(fMRI), and diffusion tensor imaging(DTI) respectively. Recently, longitudinal studies using each MRI modality have demonstrated that the neuroimaging abnormalities generally involve the posterior brain regions at the very beginning and then gradually affect the anterior areas during the progression of aMCI to AD. However, it is not known whether follow-up studies based on multi-modal neuroimaging techniques(e.g., sMRI, fMRI, and DTI) can help build effective MRI models that can be directly applied to the screening and diagnosis of aMCI and AD. Thus, in the future, large-scale multi-center follow-up studies are urgently needed, not only to build an MRI diagnostic model that can be used on a single person, but also to evaluate the variability and stability of the model in the general population. 2GENERATING EXACT NONLINEAR RANKING FUNCTIONS BY SYMBOLIC-NUMERIC HYBRID METHOD显示文摘This paper presents a hybrid symbolic-numeric algorithm to compute ranking functions for establishing the termination of loop programs with polynomial guards and polynomial assignments.The authors first transform the problem into a parameterized polynomial optimization problem,and obtain a numerical ranking function using polynomial sum-of-squares relaxation via semidefinite programming(SDP).A rational vector recovery algorithm is deployed to recover a rational polynomial from the numerical ranking function,and some symbolic computation techniques are used to certify that this polynomial is an exact ranking function of the loop programs.At last,the authors demonstrate on some polynomial loop programs from the literature that our algorithm successfully yields nonlinear ranking functions with rational coefficients.SHEN Liyong WU Min YANG Zhengfeng ZENG Zhenbing 2013Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2013,26,2:5
3Omega-3 fatty acid improves the clinical outcome of hepatectomized patients with hepatitis B virus(HBV)-associated hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Omega-3 fatty acid supplemented total parenteral nutrition improves the clinical outcome of patients undergoing certain operations;however,its benefits for patients with hepatitis type B virus(HBV)-associated hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) who have undergone hepatectomy are still not clear.The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of omega-3 fatty acid supplemented total parenteral nutrition on the clinical outcome of patients with HBV-associated HCC who underwent hepatectomy at our institution.A total of 63 patients with HBV-associated HCC who underwent hepatectomy were included in this study.These patients were randomly assigned to receive stand-ard total parenteral nutrition(the control group,n = 31) or omega-3 fatty acid supplemented total parenteral nutri-tion(the omega-3 fatty acid group,n = 32) for at least 5 d.The study endpoints were the occurrence of infection-related complications,recovery of liver function and length of hospital stay.The results showed that the omega-3 fatty acid group had a lower infection rate(omega-3 fatty acid,19.4% vs control,43.8%,P < 0.05),a better liver function after hepatectomy:alanine transaminase(omega-3 fatty acid,48.23±18.48 U/L vs control,73.34±40.60 U/L,P < 0.01),aspartate transaminase(omega-3 fatty acid,35.77±14.56 U/L vs control,50.53±24.62 U/L,P < 0.01),total bilirubin(omega-3 fatty acid,24.29±7.40 mmol/L vs control,28.37±8.06 mmol/L,P < 0.05) and a shorter length of hospital stay(omega-3 fatty acid,12.71±2.58 d vs control,15.91±3.23 d,P < 0.01).The serum contents of IL-6(omega-3 fatty acid,23.98±5.63 pg/mL vs control,35.55±7.5 pg/mL,P < 0.01) and TNF-α(ome-ga-3 fatty acid,4.43±1.22 pg/mL vs control,5.96±1.58 pg/mL,P < 0.01) after hepatectomy were significantly lower in the omega-3 fatty acid group than those of the control group.In conclusion,administration of omega-3 fatty acid may reduce infection rate and improve liver function recovery in HBV-associated HCC patients after hepatectomy.This improvement is associated with suppressed production of proinflammatory cytokines in these patients.Zhengshan Wu Jianjie Qin Liyong Pu 2012The Journal of Biomedical Research2012,26,6:4
4The bHLH transcription factor GhPAS1 mediates BR signaling to regulate plant development and architecture in cotton显示文摘Cotton (Gossypium spp.) is the most important natural textile fiber crop in the world.The ideal plant architecture of cotton is suitable for mechanical harvesting and productivity in modern agricultural production.However,cotton genes regulating plant development and architecture have not been fully identified.We identified a basic helix-loop-helix (b HLH) transcription factor,GhPAS1 (PAGODA1 SUPPRESSOR1) in G.hirsutum (Upland cotton).GhPAS1 was located in the nucleus and showed a strong transcription activation effect.Tissue-specific expression patterns showed that GhPAS1 was highly expressed in floral organs,followed by high expression in early stages of ovule development and rapid fiber elongation.GhPAS1 overexpression in Arabidopsis and BRZ (brassinazole,BR biosynthesis inhibitor) treatment indicated that GhPAS1 positively regulates and responds to the BR (brassinosteroid) signaling pathway and promotes cell elongation.GhPAS1 overexpression in Arabidopsis mediated plant development in addition to increasing plant biomass.Virus-induced gene silencing of GhPAS1 indicated that down-regulation of GhPAS1 inhibited cotton growth and development,as plant height,fruit branch length,and boll size of silenced plants were lower than in control plants.Fiber length and seed yield were also lower in silenced plants.We conclude that GhPAS1,a b HLH transcription factor,regulates plant development and architecture in cotton.These findings may help breeders and researchers develop cotton cultivars with desirable agronomic characteristics.Huanhuan Wu Zhongying Ren Lei Zheng Mengzhen Guo Jingyu Yang Liyong Hou Ghulam Qanmber Fuguang Li Zuoren Yang 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,5:4
5Progress of Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA)显示文摘Jinping Underground laboratory for Nuclear Astrophysics(JUNA) will take the advantage of the ultra-low background of CJPL lab and high current accelerator based on an ECR source and a highly sensitive detector to directly study for the first time a number of crucial reactions occurring at their relevant stellar energies during the evolution of hydrostatic stars. In its first phase, JUNA aims at the direct measurements of^(25)Mg(p,γ)^(26)Al,^(19)F(p,α)^(16)O,^(13)C(α,n)^(16)O and ^(12)C(α,γ)^(16)O reactions. The experimental setup,which includes an accelerator system with high stability and high intensity, a detector system, and a shielding material with low background, will be established during the above research. 7Recent advances on study of hadrosaurid dinosaurs in Heilongjiang(Amur) River area between China and Russia显示文摘Four main dinosaur-bearing sites have been investigated in latest Cretaceous deposits from the Amur/Heilongjiang Region: Jiayin and Wulaga in China (Yuliangze Formation) ,Blagoveschensk and Kundur in Rus- sia (Udurchukan Formation) . More than 90% of the bones discovered in these localities belong to hollowcrested lambeosaurine hadrosaurids: Charonosaurus jiayinensis at Jiayin,Amurosaurus riabinini at Blagoveschensk, Olorotitan arharensis at Kundur,and Sahaliyania elunchunorum at Wulaga. Flat-headed hadrosaurine hadrosau- rids are much less numerous,but appear well diversified as well: Kerberosaurus manakini at Blagoveschensk, Wulagasaurus dongi at Wulaga,and a new genus at Kundur. Theropods are represented by shed teeth and isolated bones; isolated scutes and teeth discovered at Kundur are tentatively attributed to nodosaurids. Palynologi- cal studies suggest that these sites are probably synchronous with the Lancian' vertebrate localities of western North America,which represent the youngest dinosaur faunas in this area. However,the latest Cretaceous dinosaur assemblages are completely different in the Amur/Heilongjiang region (lambeosaurines abundant,ceratopsids absent) and in western North America (ceratopsids abundant,lambeosaurines extremely rare or absent) . 10Efficacious selective separation of U(Ⅵ) over Mo(Ⅵ) using novel 2,9-diamide-1,10-phenanthroline ligands: Liquid-liquid extraction and coordination chemistry显示文摘Uranium and molybdenum are important strategic elements. The production of ^(99)Mo and the hydrometallurgical process of uranium ore face difficult problems of separation of uranium and molybdenum.In this study, the four phenanthroline diamide ligands were synthesized, and extraction and stripping experiments were performed under different conditions to evaluate the potential application of these ligands for separation of U(Ⅵ) over Mo(Ⅵ). With the growth of alkyl chain, the solubility of ligands could be greatly improved, and the separation effect of U(Ⅵ) over Mo(Ⅵ) gradually increased. The SF_(U/Mo) were around 10,000 at 4 mol/L HNO3. Three stripping agents were tested with the stripping efficiency of Na_(2)CO_(3)(5%) > H_(2)O > HNO_(3)(0.01 mol/L). The stripping percentages of the three stripping agents were all close to unity, indicating that the ligands had the potential to be recycled. The chemical stoichiometry of U(Ⅵ) complexes with ligands was evaluated as 1:1 using electrospray ionization mass spectrometry,ultraviolet visible spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. 11Prevention strategies for Alzheimer’s disease显示文摘Symptomatic treatment during the dementia stage of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)cannot delay or halt the progression of this disease.Therefore,prevention in the preclinical stage is likely the most effective way to decrease the incidence of this age-associated neurodegenerative condition,and its associated burden for individuals and society.Age,gender,family history,ApoE4,systolic blood pressure,body mass index,total cholesterol level and physical activity are all used as component of dementia risk score.There have been numerous challenges in conducting primary prevention trials in AD.Enrichment strategies for prevention studies include studying those subjects with more risk factors for AD,such as older age,those with a positive family history of late onset AD,and those who are ApoE4 positive.Each of these strategies is designed to increase the probability of developing AD thereby decreasing the sample size or the duration of follow up.Another strategy would be to target directly the pathophysiology of AD in its preclinical stages and use the biomarkers in prevention trial as surrogate markers.This will be done first in carriers of dominantly inherited early onset AD.As this research takes place networks of memory clinics must prepare to transfer new knowledge to persons interested in a preventive approach to AD.Serge Gauthier Liyong Wu Pedro Rosa-Neto Jianping Jia 2012Translational Neurodegeneration2012,1,1:1
12Divergent responses of soil carbon and nitrogen pools to short-term nitrogen addition between two plantations in Northeast China显示文摘Nitrogen(N)deposition has a profound influence on forest soil carbon(C)and N pools,but there was no consensus on the responses of different C and N components in different forest types.In this study,a two-year simulated N deposition experiment with four levels of N(NH4NO3)-addition treatments(0,50,100,and 150 kg N/hm^(2)·a)were conducted in Larix gmelinii(LG)and Quercus mongolica(QM)plantation in Northeast China,in order to investigate the C and N pool dynamics under continuously enhanced N deposition.Soil organic carbon(SOC),soil total N(STN)and their active components(readily oxidizable C,ROC;dissolved organic C,DOC;microbial biomass C,MBC,dissolved organic N,DON;microbial biomass N,MBN)of the forest soil were measured monthly from May to October 2017.C and N contents in LG were observed higher than in QM.N addition had no effect on SOC and STN of LG,but significantly increased SOC and STN of QM at low N addition level.Low N addition generally raised active C components(ROC,DOC,and MBC)in both plantations,whereas high N addition did not significantly affect these components,or even decreased ROC in LG soil.Low N addition also increased STN and MBN of QM,while no significant change in STN and MBN of LG was observed.DON was directly affected by N addition and increased significantly with elevated N addition levels.The results indicated that N addition,especially of low rate,might enhance the C sequestration capacity of the forest soils and mitigate climate change.Yedong Li Bo Wang Sen Dou Haoyue Shen Liyong Mei Yang Zhang Ximing Zeng Yaya Zhang Yameng Pei Haoye Ren Shimin Wu 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,6:1

16Breeding of New Processing Apricot Cultivar ‘Jinxiu'显示文摘‘Jinxiu' is a processing apricot(Armeniaca vulgaris L.) cultivar derived from the cross of ‘Chuanzhihong'בJintaiyang'.The fruit is oval-shaped with the ground color of orange and 1/4-1/2 sheet red in the surface. The average fruit weight is65.5 g, and the maximum value is 106 g. The flesh is orange, fine with very less fiber, toughness, less juice and freestone, and tastes sour and sweet. The soluble solid content is 12.5%. The edible rate is 95.8%. The fruit skin hardness is 12.9 kg/cm2 and storable. The preserved apricots have orange color and are tasty. The preserved yield is 40%. The fruit development period is 72 d. 19A hybrid-model optimization algorithm based on the Gaussian process and particle swarm optimization for mixed-variable CNN hyperparameter automatic search显示文摘Convolutional neural networks(CNNs)have been developed quickly in many real-world fields.However,CNN’s performance depends heavily on its hyperparameters,while finding suitable hyperparameters for CNNs working in application fields is challenging for three reasons:(1)the problem of mixed-variable encoding for different types of hyperparameters in CNNs,(2)expensive computational costs in evaluating candidate hyperparameter configuration,and(3)the problem of ensuring convergence rates and model performance during hyperparameter search.To overcome these problems and challenges,a hybrid-model optimization algorithm is proposed in this paper to search suitable hyperparameter configurations automatically based on the Gaussian process and particle swarm optimization(GPPSO)algorithm.First,a new encoding method is designed to efficiently deal with the CNN hyperparameter mixed-variable problem.Second,a hybrid-surrogate-assisted model is proposed to reduce the high cost of evaluating candidate hyperparameter configurations.Third,a novel activation function is suggested to improve the model performance and ensure the convergence rate.Intensive experiments are performed on image-classification benchmark datasets to demonstrate the superior performance of GPPSO over state-of-the-art methods.Moreover,a case study on metal fracture diagnosis is carried out to evaluate the GPPSO algorithm performance in practical applications.Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of GPPSO,achieving accuracy of 95.26%and 76.36%only through 0.04 and 1.70 GPU days on the CIFAR-10 and CIFAR-100 datasets,respectively.Han YAN Chongquan ZHONG Yuhu WU Liyong ZHANG Wei LU 2023Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering2023,24,11:0
