1Transplantation of UC-MSCs on collagen scaffold activates follicles in dormant ovaries of POF patients with long history of infertility显示文摘Premature ovarian failure(POF) is a refractory disease for clinical treatment with the goal of restoring fertility. In this study,umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells on a collagen scaffold(collagen/UC-MSCs) can activate primordial follicles in vitro via phosphorylation of FOXO3 a and FOXO1. Transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs to the ovaries of POF patients rescued overall ovarian function, evidenced by elevated estradiol concentrations, improved follicular development, and increased number of antral follicles. Successful clinical pregnancy was achieved in women with POF after transplantation of collagen/UC-MSCs or UC-MSCs. 2Collagen-binding basic fibroblast growth factor improves functional remodeling of scarred endometrium in uterine infertile women: a pilot study显示文摘Intrauterine adhesion(IUA) is a common cause of uterine infertility and one of the most severe clinical features is endometrial fibrosis namely endometrial scarring for which there are few cures currently. Blocked angiogenesis is the main pathological change in the scarred endometrium. The fibroblast growth factor 2(b FGF), a member of FGF family, is usually applied to promote healing of refractory ulcer and contributes to angiogenesis of tissues. In this study, the sustained-release system of b FGF100 μg was administrated around scarred endometrium guiding by ultrasound every 4 weeks in 18 patients(2–4 times). Results showed that after treatment, the menstrual blood volume, endometrial thickness and the scarred endometrial area were improved.Histological study showed blood vessel density increased obviously. Three patients(3/18) achieved pregnancy over 20 gestational weeks. 3Ways to sparse representation:An overview显示文摘Many algorithms have been proposed to find sparse representations over redundant dictionaries or transforms. This paper gives an overview of these algorithms by classifying them into three categories:greedy pursuit algorithms,lp norm regularization based algorithms,and iterative shrinkage algorithms. We summarize their pros and cons as well as their connections. Based on recent evidence,we conclude that the algorithms of the three categories share the same root:lp norm regularized inverse problem. 4Study on β-TCP Coated Porous Mg as a Bone Tissue Engineering Scaffold Material显示文摘Three-dimensional honeycomb-structured magnesium (Mg) scaffolds with interconnected pores of accurately controlled pore size and porosity were fabricated by laser perforation technique. Biodegradable and bioactive β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) coatings were prepared on the porous Mg to further improve its biocompatibility, and the biodegradation mechanism was simply evaluated in vitro. It was found that the mechanical properties of this type of porous Mg significantly depended on its porosity. Elastic modulus and compressive strength similar to human bones could be obtained for the porous Mg with porosity of 42.6%-51%. 5Improved genetic algorithm for nonlinear programming problems显示文摘An improved genetic algorithm(IGA) based on a novel selection strategy to handle nonlinear programming problems is proposed.Each individual in selection process is represented as a three-dimensional feature vector which is composed of objective function value,the degree of constraints violations and the number of constraints violations.It is easy to distinguish excellent individuals from general individuals by using an individuals' feature vector.Additionally,a local search(LS) process is incorporated into selection operation so as to find feasible solutions located in the neighboring areas of some infeasible solutions.The combination of IGA and LS should offer the advantage of both the quality of solutions and diversity of solutions.Experimental results over a set of benchmark problems demonstrate that IGA has better performance than other algorithms.Kezong Tang Jingyu Yang Haiyan Chen Shang Gao 2011Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2011,22,3:8
6Quercus yangyiensis sp. nov. from the Late Pliocene of Baoshan, Yunnan and Its Paleoclimatic Significance显示文摘A new Quercus(Fagaceae) morphospecies is described based on well-preserved fossil leaves. The fossils were collected from Yangyi Formation of the Upper Pliocene at the Yangyi coalmine, Baoshan, western Yunnan, China. Details of the microstructure of mesophyll tissue are preserved because lithification of the fossils was not complete. The fossil laminas possess typical characteristics of Quercus sect. Heterobalanus: quite thick and coriaceous cuticle; secondary veins bifurcating near the margin in the middle and top of the leaf; and upper epidermis with adaxial hypodermis. Based on a detailed morphological and anatomical comparison with all living and fossil species of Quercus sect. Heterobalanus, the fossil leaves prove to be different in their sparse and garland-shaped multicellular trichomes on the lower epidermis, and so it is described as a new species Quercus yangyiensis He, Li et Sun sp. nov. The much sparser trichomes of our fossils compare well with those of living Quercus sect. 7Effectiveness of ozonated saline in the treatment of VX2 tumors in rabbits显示文摘Objective To investigate the efficacy, safety, and associated mechanisms of injected ozonated saline in the treatment of VX2 tumors. Methods A total of 90 rabbits bearing VX2 tumors on their left hind legs were randomly divided into three groups. The control group(A) received normal saline, while groups B and C received 20 μg/mL and 40 μg/mL O_3/O_2 ozonated saline, respectively. Rabbits were anesthetized and 2 mL of blood was drawn directly from the heart to measure serum concentrations of interleukin(IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor(TNF-α). The skin covering the VX2 tumor was cut in each rabbit and the maximum and vertical diameters of the tumors were measured under direct visualization. Several milliliters of saline, saline pre-treated with 20 μg/mL O_3/O_2, or saline pre-treated with 40 μg/mL O_3/O_2 were directly injected into the tumors of groups A, B, and C, respectively(injection volume(milliliter) =1/2 volume of the tumor, V = 1/2ab^2). On days 4, 8 and 12 following treatment, 10 rabbits were randomly selected from each group for blood sample collection, and serum IL-6 and TNF-α were measured. The tumor growth rate was calculated by measuring the maximum and vertical diameters of the VX2 tumors under direct visualization. All selected rabbits were euthanized and the tumors, livers, and lungs were removed for pathological examination. The tumor necrosis rate was calculated by cutting the tumors into half along the longitudinal axis and measuring the maximum diameters of the intratumoral necrotic regions. Results The average tumor volume in the three groups increased to different degrees at each time point; however, the average tumor growth rates in groups B and C were substantially lower than that in group A, exhibiting a statistically significant difference. The difference in the tumor growth rate between group B and group C was not statistically significant. The serum concentrations of IL-6 and TNF-α increased in the three groups at each time point, with larger increases occurring in groups B and C; however, the greater increases did not reach statistical significance. Although the diameters of the necrotic areas were larger in both groups B and C than that in group A, significant differences in necrotic area diameters were only found when comparing groups A and C on days 4 and 12 following treatment. Conclusion Direct injection of different concentrations of ozonated saline into VX2 tumors significantly increased intratumoral necrosis and reduced the tumor growth rate. 8Terahertz wavefront shaping with multi-channel polarization conversion based on all-dielectric metasurface显示文摘Polarization manipulation of electromagnetic wave or polarization multiplexed beam shaping based on metasurfaces has been reported in various frequency bands.However,it is difficult to shape the beam with multi-channel polarization conversion in a single metasurface.Here,we propose a new method for terahertz wavefront shaping with multi-channel polarization conversion via all-silicon metasurface,which is based on the linear shape birefringence effect in spatially interleaved anisotropic meta-atoms.By superimposing the eigen-and non-eigen-polarization responses of the two kinds of meta-atoms,we demonstrate the possibility for high-efficiency evolution of several typical polarization states with two independent channels for linearly polarized waves.The measured polarization conversion efficiency is higher than 70%in the range of 0.9–1.3 THz,with a peak value of 89.2%at 1.1 THz.In addition,when more other polarization states are incident,combined with the integration of sub-arrays,we can get more channels for both polarization conversion and beam shaping.Simulated and experimental results verify the feasibility of this method.The proposed method provides a new idea for the design of terahertz multi-functional metadevices.JIE LI CHENGLONG ZHENG JITAO LI GUOCUI WANG JINGYU LIU ZHEN YUE XUANRUO HAO YUE YANG FUYU LI TINGTING TANG YATING ZHANG YAN ZHANG JIANQUAN YAO 2021Photonics Research2021,9,10:5
9Fabrication and tribological properties of superhydrophobic nickel films with positive and negative biomimetic microtextures显示文摘Nickel(Ni)films with positive and negative textured surfaces of lotus and rice leaf patterns were fabricated through an inexpensive and effective method.The as-prepared Ni films were superhydrophobic and exhibited excellent tribological properties after chemical treatment.Experimental results indicated that the water contact angles(WCAs)on the surfaces of biomimetic textured Ni films(approximately 120°)were far greater than those on smooth films(65°).The biomimetic textured surfaces became superhydrophobic(WCA of approximately 150°)after perfluoropolyether(PFPE)treatment,which could be due to the combined effects of the special texture and the PFPE.The as-prepared biomimetic-textured Ni films modified with PFPE were improved with a low friction coefficient and excellent antiwear properties,which were due to the combination of the effective lubrication of PFPE and the special textures that served as a good lubricant and a debris reservoir.Moreover,the antiwear properties of the as-prepared Ni films with negative biomimetic microtextures modified with PFPE were much better than those of films with positive biomimetic microtextures modified with PFPE.Ying WANG Jing YANG Xiaobao GUO Qiang ZHANG Jingyu WANG Jianning DING Ningyi YUAN 2014Friction2014,2,3:4
10A New Material of Lindera (Lauraceae) of the Late Pliocene from Tengchong, Yunnan and the Genus' Biogeography Significance显示文摘Lindera is a large genus of graceful, pleasantly scented and common native trees and shrubs of southern China and neighboring regions of SE Asia. There is a well-documented Cenozoic fossil record not only in these regions but also from elsewhere. A new fossil leaf record has been found in diatomite beds from the Upper Pliocene Mangbang Formation of Tuantian, Tengchong County, Yunnan. The leaves are identified and assigned to Lindera acuminatissima K. Q. Dao et B. N. Sun sp. nov., by comparing their leaf architecture and epidermal characteristics with those of 51 extant Lauraceae species and with 15 known fossil Lindera taxa. The specimens have well-preserved cuticles, with typical leaf architecture and epidermal characteristics of the Lauraceae, including entire leaf margin, intramarginal veins, basal ternate acrodromous primary veins, one-cell trichome base, paracytic stomatal apparatus, sunken guard cells, subsidiary hardly staining cells and presence of oil cells. These characteristics are consistent with Lindera sect. Daphnidium but are different from reported fossil and extant species of Lindera. The cuticles of Lindera are fragile and delicate with only three Lindera fossils reported based on this tissue. In terms of paleobiogeography, the fossil record indicates that Lindera is distributed in high- to mid-latitude regions of the Late Cretaceous to Paleocene northern hemisphere. Coincidentally, the records of Lindera located on both sides of the Bering Land Bridge possibly support the hypothesis that ancient plants extended via transcontinental exchanges through the Bering Corridor. In the Eocene, ancient Lindera spread to Europe through the Northern Degeer Route and the Southern Thulian Route. At the same time, ancient Lindera spread into Central Asia. Climatic changes and tectonization since the Neogene prevented the propagation of Lindera throughout Asia, North America and Europe, and hence the distribution areas have just regressed to the low-latitude regions in Asia and North America. From the Paleogene to the Neogene, Lindera has changed its distribution by surviving extreme climate changes. Quaternary glaciations ultimately led to Lindera becoming extinct in Europe. 12Enhanced production of seed oil with improved fatty acid composition by overexpressing NAD^(+)-dependent glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase in soybean显示文摘There is growing interest in expanding the production of soybean oils(mainly triacylglycerol, or TAG) to meet rising feed demand and address global energy concerns. We report that a plastidlocalized glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase(GPDH), encoded by GmGPDHp1 gene, catalyzes the formation of glycerol-3-phosphate(G3 P), an obligate substrate required for TAG biosynthesis.Overexpression of GmGPDHp1 increases soybean seed oil content with high levels of unsaturated fatty acids(FAs), especially oleic acid(C18:1), without detectably affecting growth or seed protein content or seed weight. Based on the lipidomic analyses, we found that the increase in G3 P content led to an elevated diacylglycerol(DAG) pool, in which the Kennedy pathwayderived DAG was mostly increased, followed by PC-derived DAG, thereby promoting the synthesis of TAG containing relatively high proportion of C18:1. The increased G3 P levels induced several transcriptional alterations of genes involved in the glycerolipid pathways. In particular, genes encoding the enzymes responsible for de novo glycerolipid synthesis were largely upregulated in the transgenic lines, in-line with the identified biochemical phenotype. 13五味石膏汤加减治疗过敏性鼻炎的疗效及其对IgE、EOS、ECP的影响显示文摘目的:探讨五味石膏汤加减治疗过敏性鼻炎的疗效及其对IgE、EOS、ECP的影响。方法:选取2013年2月—2016年10月本院收治的过敏性鼻炎患者,共计纳入94例作为研究对象,按治疗方案的不同,随机分为对照组和研究组,分别47例,对照组采用氯雷他定片和麻黄素滴鼻液治疗;在此基础上,研究组采用五味石膏汤加减治疗,持续服药2周。收集患者的血液样本,测定血清免疫球蛋白E、嗜酸性粒细胞、嗜酸粒细胞阳离子蛋白含量,对中医证候积分进行评定,对比两组间临床治疗效果及复发率状况。结果:对照组改善率74.47%低于研究组改善率91.49%,有统计学差异(P〈0.05);与治疗前比,两组治疗2周后血清IgE、EOS、ECP含量降低,发作性鼻痒、流清涕、鼻塞、鼻甲肿大降低(P〈0.05);与对照组比,研究组治疗2周后血清IgE、EOS、ECP含量较低,发作性鼻痒、流清涕、鼻塞、鼻甲肿大较低(P〈0.05);所有患者均获得随访,无病例脱落现象,两组间不良率对比,无差异(P〉0.05),对照组基本痊愈复发率37.50%低于研究组基本痊愈复发率4.76%,有统计学差异(P〈0.05)。结论:五味石膏汤可以提高过敏性鼻炎的治疗效果,显著改善中医证候,降低IgE、EOS、ECP含量,且安全性高,值得临床广泛推广。刘萍 李京 白鑫宇 YANG Jingyu 2018辽宁中医杂志2018,45,5:4
14The bHLH transcription factor GhPAS1 mediates BR signaling to regulate plant development and architecture in cotton显示文摘Cotton (Gossypium spp.) is the most important natural textile fiber crop in the world.The ideal plant architecture of cotton is suitable for mechanical harvesting and productivity in modern agricultural production.However,cotton genes regulating plant development and architecture have not been fully identified.We identified a basic helix-loop-helix (b HLH) transcription factor,GhPAS1 (PAGODA1 SUPPRESSOR1) in G.hirsutum (Upland cotton).GhPAS1 was located in the nucleus and showed a strong transcription activation effect.Tissue-specific expression patterns showed that GhPAS1 was highly expressed in floral organs,followed by high expression in early stages of ovule development and rapid fiber elongation.GhPAS1 overexpression in Arabidopsis and BRZ (brassinazole,BR biosynthesis inhibitor) treatment indicated that GhPAS1 positively regulates and responds to the BR (brassinosteroid) signaling pathway and promotes cell elongation.GhPAS1 overexpression in Arabidopsis mediated plant development in addition to increasing plant biomass.Virus-induced gene silencing of GhPAS1 indicated that down-regulation of GhPAS1 inhibited cotton growth and development,as plant height,fruit branch length,and boll size of silenced plants were lower than in control plants.Fiber length and seed yield were also lower in silenced plants.We conclude that GhPAS1,a b HLH transcription factor,regulates plant development and architecture in cotton.These findings may help breeders and researchers develop cotton cultivars with desirable agronomic characteristics.Huanhuan Wu Zhongying Ren Lei Zheng Mengzhen Guo Jingyu Yang Liyong Hou Ghulam Qanmber Fuguang Li Zuoren Yang 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,5:4
15Gap-free genome assembly and comparative analysis reveal the evolution and anthocyanin accumulation mechanism of Rhodomyrtus tomentosa显示文摘Rhodomyrtus tomentosa is an important f leshy-fruited tree and a well-known medicinal plant of the Myrtaceae family that is widely cultivated in tropical and subtropical areas of the world.However,studies on the evolution and genomic breeding of R.tomentosa were hindered by the lack of a reference genome.Here,we presented a chromosome-level gap-free T2T genome assembly of R.tomentosa using PacBio and ONT long read sequencing.We assembled the genome with size of 470.35 Mb and contig N50 of∼43.80 Mb with 11 pseudochromosomes.A total of 33382 genes and 239.31 Mb of repetitive sequences were annotated in this genome.Phylogenetic analysis elucidated the independent evolution of R.tomentosa starting from 14.37MYA and shared a recent WGD event with other Myrtaceae species.We identified four major compounds of anthocyanins and their synthetic pathways in R.tomentosa.Comparative genomic and gene expression analysis suggested the coloring and high anthocyanin accumulation in R.tomentosa tends to be determined by the activation of anthocyanin synthesis pathway.The positive selection and up-regulation of MYB transcription factors were the implicit factors in this process.The copy number increase of downstream anthocyanin transport-related OMT and GST gene were also detected in R.tomentosa.Expression analysis and pathway identification enriched the importance of starch degradation,response to stimuli,effect of hormones,and cell wall metabolism during the f leshy fruit development in Myrtaceae.Our genome assembly provided a foundation for investigating the origins and differentiation of Myrtaceae species and accelerated the genetic improvement of R.tomentosa.angping Li Shiqiang Xu Zitong Xiao Jingming Wang Yu Mei Haifei Hu Jingyu Li Jieying Liu Zhuangwei Hou Junliang Zhao Shaohai Yang Jihua Wang 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,3:3
16Construction of composite indicator system based on simulation data mining显示文摘The indicator system is the foundation and emphasis in the effectiveness evaluation of system of systems(SoS). In the past, indicator systems were founded based on qualitative methods, and every indicator was mainly determined by the expert with experience. This paper proposed a brand-new method to construct indicator systems based on the repeated simulation of the scenario space, and calculated by quantitative data. Firstly, the selection of key indicators using the Gini indicator importance measure(IIM)is calculated by random forests(RFs). Then, principal component analysis(PCA) is applied when we use the selected indicators to construct the composite indicator system of SoS. Furthermore,a set of rulesare is developed to verify the practicability of the indicator system such as correlation, robustness, accuracy and convergence. 17ILC3-derived OX40L is essential for homeostasis of intestinal Tregs in immunodeficient mice显示文摘OX40L is one of the co-stimulatory molecules that can be expressed by splenic lymphoid tissue inducer(Lti)cells,a subset of group 3 innate lymphoid cells(ILC3s).OX40L expression in subsets of intestinal ILC3s and the molecular regulation of OX40L expression in ILC3s are unknown.Here,we showed intestinal ILC3s marked as an OX40L high population among all the intestinal leukocytes and were the dominant source of OX40L in Rag1–/–mice.All ILC3 subsets expressed OX40L,and NCR–ILC3s were the most abundant source of OX40L.The expression of OX40L in ILC3s could be upregulated during inflammation.In addition to tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-like cytokine 1A(TL1A),which has been known as a trigger for OX40L,we found that Poly(I:C)representing viral stimulus promoted OX40L expression in ILC3s via a cell-autonomous manner.Furthermore,we demonstrated that IL-7-STAT5 signaling sustained OX40L expression by ILC3s.Intestinal regulatory T cells(Tregs),most of which expressed OX40,had defective expansion in chimeric mice,in which ILC3s were specifically deficient for OX40L expression.Consistently,co-localization of Tregs and ILC3s was found in the cryptopatches of the intestine,which suggests the close interaction between ILC3s and Tregs.Our study has unveiled the crosstalk between Tregs and ILC3s in mucosal tissues through OX40–OX40L signaling,which is crucial for the homeostasis of intestinal Tregs.Tian Deng Caixia Suo Jiali Chang Rui Yang Jingyu Li Ting Cai Ju Qiu 2020Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,2:3
18Novel ACTG1 mutation causing autosomal dominant non-syndromic hearing impairment in a Chinese family显示文摘The γ-actin (ACTG1) gene is a cytoplasmic nonmuscle actin gene, which encodes a major cytoskeletal protein in the sensory hair cells of the cochlea. Mutations in ACTG1 were found to cause autosomal dominant, progressive, sensorineural hearing loss linked to the DFNA 20/26 locus on chromosome 17q25.3 in European and American families, respectively. In this study, a novel missense mutation (c.364A>G; p.I122V) co-segregated with the affected individuals in the family and did not exist in the unaffected family members and 150 unrelated normal controls. The alteration of residue Ile122 was predicted to damage its interaction with actin-binding proteins, which may cause disruption of hair cell organization and function. 19Ore-forming elements diffusion and distribution in the altered host rock surrounding the Koktokay No.3 pegmatite in the Chinese Altay显示文摘Petrography and geochemistry of the altered and unaltered host rocks surrounding the Koktokay No.3 pegmatite revealed that the unaltered amphibolite is mainly composed of hornblende, plagioclase, and ilmenite.Beyond these primary components, the altered host rocks contain a few newly formed minerals, including biotite,tourmaline, chlorine, and muscovite. The alteration zone surrounding the Koktokay No.3 pegmatite is limited to 2.0 m, characterized by biotitization, tourmalization, and chloritization. In the altered host rocks, the contents of SiO_2, MgO, MnO, Na_2O, and TiO_2 did not vary greatly.However, Al_2O_3 showed a weak decreasing trend with the increasing distance from the pegmatite contact zone, while Fe_2O_3 and CaO showed an increasing trend. The contents of Li, Rb, and Cs in the altered host rocks were much higher than those in the unaltered host rocks, decreasing with distance from the contact. The chondrite-normalized rare earth element(REE) pattern of the altered and unaltered host rock was right-inclined from La to Lu, but enriched in light REEs over heavy REEs after hydrothermal alteration. An isocon plot shows that some oxides migrated in with an order of P_2O_5>K_2O >TiO_2>Al_2O_3>SiO_2>MnO≥MgO, while others migrated out with an order of Na_2O >CaO >Fe_2O_3. For REEs, the migration ratios are positive values withCs >Rb >Li >Nb >Ta >Be, signifying that all REEs migrated from the exsolved magmatic fluid into the altered host rocks. It was concluded that diffusion was the only mechanism for migration of ore-forming elements in the alteration zone. The effective diffusion coefficients(Deff)of LiF, RbF, and CsF were estimated under a fluid temperature of 500–550 °C. 20Mouse Karyotype Obtained by Combining DAPI Staining with Image Analysis显示文摘In this study, mitotic metaphase chromosomes in mouse were identified by a new chromosome fluorescence banding technique combining DAPI staining with image analysis. Clear 4’, 6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) multiple bands like G-bands could be produced in mouse. The MetaMorph software was then used to generate linescans of pixel intensity for the banded chromosomes from short arm to long arm. These linescans were sufficient not only to identify each individual chromosome but also analyze the physical sites of bands in chromosome. Based on the results, the clear and accurate karyotype of mouse metaphase chromosomes was established.
