| 1 | Temporal and spatial variations of the active layer along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway in a permafrost region显示文摘Using monitored active layer thickness(ALT) and environmental variables of 10 observation fields along the Qinghai-Tibet Highway in permafrost region of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(QTP),a model for ALT estimation was developed.The temporal and spatial characteristics of the ALT were also analyzed.The results showed that in the past 30 years ALT in the study region increased at a rate of 1.33 cm a-1.Temperatures at the upper limit of permafrost and at 50 cm depth,along with soil cumulative temperature at 5 cm depth also exhibited a rising trend.Soil heat flux increased at a rate of 0.1 Wm-2 a-1.All the above changes demonstrated that the degradation of permafrost happened in the study region on the QTP.The initial thawing date of active layer was advanced,while the initial freezing date was delayed.The number of thawing days increased to a rate of 1.18 da-1.The variations of active layer were closely related to the permafrost type,altitude,underlying surface type and soil composition.The variations were more evident in cold permafrost region than in warm permafrost region,in high-altitude region than in low-altitude region,in alpine meadow region than in alpine steppe region;and in fine-grained soil region than in coarse-grained soil region. | LI Ren ZHAO Lin DING YongJian WU TongHua XIAO Yao DU ErJi LIU GuangYue QIAO YongPing | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,35: | 51 |
| 2 | Mountain permafrost distribution modeling using Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline (MARS) in the Wenquan area over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘In high mountainous areas, the development and distribution of alpine permafrost is greatly affected by macroand micro-topographic factors. The effects of latitude, altitude, slope, and aspect on the distribution of permafrost were studied to understand the distribution patterns of permafrost in Wenquan on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Cluster and correlation analysis were performed based on 30 m Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM) data and field data obtained using geophysical exploration and borehole drilling methods. A Multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline model (MARS) was developed to simulate permafrost spatial distribution over the studied area. A validation was followed by comparing to 201 geophysical exploration sites, as well as by comparing to two other models, i.e., a binary logistic regression model and the Mean Annual Ground Temperature model (MAGT). The MARS model provides a better simulation than the other two models. | 3 | Downregulating integrin subunit alpha 7(ITGA7)promotes proliferation,invasion,and migration of papillary thyroid carcinoma cells through regulating epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition显示文摘Thyroid cancer is one of the common malignancies of the endocrine system and the number of thyroid cancer cases is increasing constantly.Significant work has focused on the molecular mechanisms of thyroid cancer,but many mechanisms remain undiscovered.In this study,we employed a comprehensive analysis of whole-transcriptome resequencing derived from paired papillary thyroid cancer(PTC)and normal thyroid tissues.We performed a massive parallel whole-transcriptome resequencing of matched PTC and normal thyroid tissues in 19 patients and found that integrin subunit alpha 7(ITGA7)was downregulated in thyroid tumor tissues,but the function of ITGA7 in this cancer is still unclear.We also discovered that ITGA7 gene in thyroid cancer tissues was downregulated compared to paired adjacent non-tumor tissues by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction.After transfection with small interfering RNA to knock down ITGA7 the abilities of colony formation,proliferation,migration,and invasion were enhanced in PTC cell lines(TPC1 and KTC-1).Meanwhile,ITGA7 knockdown decreased apoptotic cell death in thyroid cells but promoted the expressions of N-cadherin and vimentin and decreased E-cadherin expression by epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition,which may induce invasion and migration.In conclusion,these results indicated that ITGA7 is involved in the progress of PTC and might act as a tumor suppressor gene. | Yaoyao Guan Adheesh Bhandari Erjie Xia Lingguo Kong Xiaohua Zhang Ouchen Wang | 2020 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,2: | 2 |

| 19 | Elastic Fiber‑Reinforced Silk Fibroin Scaffold with A Double‑Crosslinking Network for Human Ear‑Shaped Cartilage Regeneration显示文摘Tissue engineering provides a promising approach for regenerative medicine.The ideal engineered tissue should have the desired structure and functional properties suitable for uniform cell distribution and stable shape fidelity in the full period of in vitro culture and in vivo implantation.However,due to insufficient cell infiltration and inadequate mechanical properties,engineered tissue made from porous scaffolds may have an inconsistent cellular composition and a poor shape retainability,which seriously hinders their further clinical application.In this study,silk fibroin was integrated with silk short fibers with a physical and chemical double-crosslinking network to fabricate fiber-reinforced silk fibroin super elastic absorbent sponges(Fr-SF-SEAs).The Fr-SF-SEAs exhibited the desirable synergistic properties of a honeycomb structure,hygroscopicity and elasticity,which allowed them to undergo an unconventional cyclic compression inoculation method to significantly promote cell diffusion and achieve a uniform cell distribution at a high-density.Furthermore,the regenerated cartilage of the Fr-SF-SEAs scaffold withstood a dynamic pressure environment after subcutaneous implantation and maintained its precise original structure,ultimately achieving human-scale ear-shaped cartilage regeneration.Importantly,the SF-SEAs prepara-tion showed valuable universality in combining chemicals with other bioactive materials or drugs with reactive groups to construct microenvironment bionic scaffolds.The established novel cell inoculation method is highly versatile and can be readily applied to various cells.Based on the design concept of dual-network Fr-SF-SEAs scaffolds,homogenous and mature cartilage was successfully regenerated with precise and complicated shapes,which hopefully provides a platform strategy for tissue engineering for various cartilage defect repairs. | Qianyi Wang Xinyue Ran Jian Wang Sinan Wang Peiling Zhang Erji Gao Baoshuai Bai Junfeng Zhang Guangdong Zhou Dong Lei | 2023 | Advanced Fiber Materials2023,5,3: | 0 |
