| 1 | Regional Distribution and Sustainable Development Strategy of Mineral Resources in China显示文摘This paper summarizes the distribution and production layout of the major mineral resources in China,including coal,iron ore,copper and bauxite,from a national perspective.It also identifies the incompatibility between the mineral resources distribution and regional economic development.Significant issues with China's mineral resource industry cause challenges for the sustainable development of both the mining industry and the national socio-economy.The sustainability of regional mineral resources and the environmental pollution by mining in the western China were also analyzed.Results show that the distribution of China's mineral resources is misaligned with its regional layout of economic development.China's mineral resources have been over-exploited,and the mineral resources production in the eastern China is unsustainable.The continuously expanding production of mineral resources in the western China has heavily endangered the ecological environment.We propose strategies to boost the sustainable development of mineral resources,including measures to accelerate economic development and enhance the sustainability of domestic mineral resources.We also offer suggestions for scientifically planning the mineral resource prospecting and exploitation and regional economic layout,as well as for proactively undertaking industry transfer in the eastern China and raising the environmental benchmark requirements for the mineral industry in the central and western China. | LI Chaofeng WANG Anjian CHEN Xiaojin CHEN Qishen ZHANG Yanfei LI Ying | 2013 | Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,4: | 11 |
| 2 | Insulin expression in livers of diabetic mice mediated by hydrodynamics-based administration显示文摘AIM:Transfer and expression of insulin gene in vivo are an alternative strategy to improve glycemic control in type 1 diabetes. Hydrodynamics-based procedure has been proved to be very efficient to transfer naked DNA to mouse livers. The basal hepatic insulin production mediated by this rapid tail vein injection was studied to determine its effect on the resumption of glycemic control in type 1 diabetic mice.METHODS: Engineered insulin cDNA was inserted into plasmid vectors under a CMV promoter, and transferred into STZ induced diabetic mice by hydrodynamic procedure.Glucose levels, body weight of treated mice, insulin levels,immunohistology of the liver, and quantity of insulin mRNA in the liver were assayed to identify the improvement of hyperglycemic complication after plasmid administration.Sleeping Beauty, a transposon system, was also used to prolong the insulin expression in the liver.RESULTS: After plasmid administration, Plasma insulin was significantly increased in the diabetic mice and the livers were insulin-positive by immunostaining. At the same time the hyperglycemic complication was improved. The blood glucose levels of mice were reduced to normal. Glucose tolerance of the treated diabetic mice was improved. Body weight loss was also ameliorated. The rapid tail vein injection did not cause any fatal result.CONCLUSION: Our results suggested that insulin gene could be efficiently transferred into the livers of diabetic mice via rapid tail vein injection and it resulted in high level of insulin expression. The basal hepatic insulin production mediated by hydrodynamics-based administration improved the glycemic control in type 1 diabetes dramatically and ameliorated diabetic syndromes. | 3 | A micro-adjusting attitude mechanism for autonomous drilling robot end-effector显示文摘Drilling end-effector is a key unit in autonomous drilling robot.The perpendicularity of the hole has an important influence on the quality of airplane assembly.Aiming at the robot drilling perpendicularity,a micro-adjusting attitude mechanism and a surface normal measurement algorithm are proposed in this paper.In the mechanism,two rounded eccentric discs are used and the small one is embedded in the big one,which makes the drill’s point static when adjusting the drill’s attitude.Thus,removal of drill’s point position after adjusting the drill attitude can be avoided.Before the micro-adjusting progress,four non-coplanar points in space are used to determine a unique sphere.The normal at the drilling point is measured by four laser ranging sensors.The adjusting angles at which the motors should be rotated to adjust attitude can be calculated by using the deviation between the normal and the drill axis.Finally,the motors will drive the two eccentric discs to achieve micro-adjusting progress.Experiments on drilling robot system and the results demonstrate that the adjusting mechanism and the algorithm for surface normal measurement are effective with high accuracy and efficiency. | YUAN PeiJiang WANG QiShen SHI ZhenYun WANG TianMiao WANG ChengKun CHEN DongDong SHEN LiHeng | 2014 | Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,12: | 8 |
| 4 | New design of a compact aero-robotic drilling end effector: An experimental analysis显示文摘This paper presents the development of a normal adjustment cell(NAC) in aero-robotic drilling to improve the quality of vertical drilling, by using an intelligent double-eccentric disk normal adjustment mechanism(2-EDNA), a spherical plain bearing and a floating compress module with sensors. After the surface normal vector is calculated based on the laser sensors' feedback,the 2-EDNA concept is conceived specifically to address the deviation of the spindle from the surface normal at the drilling point. Following the angle calculation, depending on the actual initial position, two precise eccentric disks(PEDs) with an identical eccentric radius are used to rotate with the appropriate angles using two high-resolution DC servomotors. The two PEDs will carry the spindle to coincide with the surface normal, keeping the vertex of the drill bit still to avoid repeated adjustment and position compensation. A series of experiments was conducted on an aeronautical drilling robot platform with a precise NAC. The effect of normal adjustment on bore diameter, drilling force, burr size, drilling heat, and tool wear was analyzed. | 5 | Enhancement of naked FIX minigene expression by chloroquine in mice显示文摘AIM: To study the effect of chloroquine on the expression of human clotting factor IX (hFIX) in mice. METHODS:Hydrodynamics-based naked DNA plasmid administration was performed by tail vein injection of 10 g of pCMV-hFIX and chloroquine (0, 100, 200, and 500 mol/L) in 2.2 mL of Ringer solution within 6-7 s, the level andstability of hFIX expression, liver damage and toxicity were then examined. RESULTS: The maximum expression ofhFIX level was 4.41.8 mg/L at 8 h after injection, 9.71.6 mg/L at 24 h only existed in 200 mol/L chloroquine-treated animals, which is 3-4 fold higher than that of control (P<0.01). There is no significant difference observedamong all the treated groups, 3 d later. Transaminase level and liver histological study showed the damage of liverwas not related to chloroquine (P>0.05).
