1EFFECT OF TIDAL FLOW ON ESTUARINE SEDIMENTATION显示文摘Based on the equations of motion for a two-phase flow, the writers present a set of four equations for foe one-dimensional sediment-laden flow in a prismatic channel in alluvium. Two cases are then considered. In one case. a theoretical expression of sediment concentration is derived for flow in the neighborhood of a tidal bore moving in an otherwise gradually and slowly varied flow in a rectangular channel of negligible resistance. In the other case. numerical computations are carried out on the four of the four bole equations for a reach of natural river. 2Selenium-enriched oolong tea(Camellia sinensis)extract exerts anti-inflammatory potential via targeting NF-κB and MAPK pathways in macrophages显示文摘Both tea polyphenols and selenium(Se)have been suggested to exert the health benefits via the regulatory capacities of chronic inflammation,which make Se-enriched oolong tea a promising beverage as an anti-inflammatory diet.The aim of this study is to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of Se-enriched oolong tea extract(Se-TE)and underlying mechanism in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced RAW264.7 cells.Se-TE treatments(50 and 150μg/m L)significantly suppressed the over-production of nitric oxide(NO)and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)in LPS-stimulated macrophages via downregulating the expression of nitric oxide synthase(i NOS)and cyclooxygenase-2(COX-2).Moreover,Se-TEs also effectively inhibited the productions of inflammatory cytokines,such as tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),and interleukin-1β(IL-1β).Furthermore,Se-TE could block mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)signaling pathways through the inhibition of the phosphorylation of key proteins(IκB-α,p65,p38,ERK,and JNK)and the translocation of the p65 subunit into the nucleus.Collectively,our results indicated that Se-TE may have the potential to be used as a novel food ingredient for the development of various anti-inflammatory foods and the treatment and prevention of chronic inflammation-related diseases.Qi Wang Juqing Huang Yafeng Zheng Xuefang Guan Chenchun Lai Huiying Gao Chi-Tang Ho Bin Lin 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,3:3

5Origami meets electrospinning:a new strategy for 3D nanofiber scaffolds显示文摘Inspired by the constitution of things in the natural world,three-dimensional (3D)nanofiber scaffold/cells complex was constructed via the combination of electrospinning technology and origami techniques.The nanofiber boxes prepared by origami provided a limited space for the layer-by-layer nanofiber films,and the human fetal osteoblasts (hFOBs)seeded on the both sides of the nanofiber films were expected to facilitate the bonding,of the adjacent nanofiber films through the secretion of extracellular matrix.Specifically,the hFOBs presented 3D distribution in the nanofiber scaffold,and they can stretch across the gaps between the adjacent nanofiber films,forming the cell layers and filling the whole 3D nanofiber scaffold.Eventually,a 3D block composed of electrospun nanofiber scaffold and cells was obtained',which possesses potential applications in bone tissue engineering.Interestingly,we also created 3D nanofiber structures that range from simple forms to intricate architectures via origami,indicating that the combination of electrospinning technology and origami techniques is a feasible method for the 3D construction of tissue engineering scaffolds.Juqing Song Guanglin Zhu Huichang Gao Lin Wang Nanying Li Xuetao Shi Yingjun Wang 2018Bio-Design and Manufacturing2018,1,4:1

7The Construction of Schistosoma Japonicum Vaccine BCG-Sj26GST and Its Identification显示文摘Summary: The expression of foreign gene, Schistosoma Japonicum 26 ku antigen (Sj26GST), in Bacillus Calmette Guerin (BCG), Mycobacterium ( M. smegmatis ) and Escherichia coli ( E. coli ) were studied. The cDNA fragment encoding Sj26GST was amplified by PCR using plasmid pGEX, which could express Sj26GST in E. coli as template. The Sj26GST cDNA was cloned into the downstream of human M. tuberculosis heat shock protein (hsp) 70 promoter with correct reading frame, and then the DNA fragment containing hsp70 promoter and Sj26GST gene were subcloned together into E. coli Mycobacteria shuttle plasmid pBCG 2000 to construct the expression shuttle plasmid pBCG Sj26. The recombinant BCG and M. smegmatis mc 2 155, which were electroplated with pBCG Sj26, could express Sj26GST and the recombinant Schistosoma Japonicum vaccine BCG Sj26GST was made. The recombinant Sj26GST (rSj26GST) were soluble and could be observed on SDS PAGE at molecular weight of 26 ku. The content of rSj26GST accounted for 15 % and 10 % of total bacterial protein in BCG and M. smegmatis respectively. 10Experiment of Water Soluble Fertilizers Containing Humic Acid in Tomato Planting显示文摘As a natural macromolecular organic compound,humic acid can promote plant growth.Water soluble humic acid fertilizers refer to liquid or solid water soluble fertilizers made by adding appropriate amounts of nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium macroelements or zinc,boron,iron,molybdenum,manganese,copper and other trace elements or organic matter,based on humic acid in the required proportions for plant growth.In order to verify the application effect of humic acid containing water soluble fertilizer produced by Tai’an Gold Land Chemical Co.,Ltd.,in tomato production in Daiyue District,Tai’an City,a fertilizer effect application experiment of humic acid containing water soluble fertilizer on tomato planting was specially carried out.The results showed that the water soluble fertilizer containing humic acid could obviously improve the agronomic characters of tomato;the yield was significantly increased;the effect of increasing the income of tomato growers was obvious.Juqing GE 2022Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,7:0
11Determination of ribavirin by flow injection chemiluminescence显示文摘Objective: To establish a rapid and precise continuous flow-injection chemiluminescence(CL) method to determine ribavirin. Methods: The ribavirin could restrain strongly CL reaction of luminol in sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution with potassium chlorate(KClO3). The different experimental parameters affecting the CL intensity were studied carefully. Results: Under optimum conditions(The concentrations of luminol,KClO3, and NaOH were at 0.1 mmol/L,0.5 ?mol/L,and 0.2 mol/L, respectively), the linear range of the working curves was 0.01-7.00 g/ml with a detection limit of 0.004 g/ml. 13Study on Statistical Features About Weak Earthquake Activity Before Moderately Strong Earthquakes in the Middle Northern Part of the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Block显示文摘In regards to the earthquakes recording M≥5.0 that occurred in middle northern part of the Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) Block from 1970~2003, in this study we describe the temporal and spatial centralization features of the weak earthquakes and the enhancement and anomalous quiescence of their seismic activity before main shocks through 4 parameters, which are basically not correlated: earthquake time centralization degree parameter C_t, earthquake space centralization degree parameter C_d, η value and weak earthquake frequency and so on. 15EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT FUNCTIONALIZATION SCHEMES ON THE INTERFACIAL STRENGTH OF CARBON NANOTUBE POLYETHYLENE COMPOSITE显示文摘The mechanical performance of carbon nanotube(CNT) reinforced polymer composites is primarily controlled by the dispersive capacity and interfacial shear strength of CNTs in polymer matrices. CNT functionalizations will improve dispersion and strengthen interfacial bonding of CNTs in matrices. To understand the effects of different functionalization schemes on the interfacial strength of CNT-polymer composites, pullout of the covalent, noncovalent, and mixed functionalized single-walled carbon nanotube(SWCNT) from polyethylene(PE) matrix was simulated by using molecular dynamics, respectively. 18High-yield Cultivation Techniques of Drip Irrigation under Ground Membrane for Cotton显示文摘Yuepuhu County in Xinjiang has a long history of cotton planting and is a national high-quality cotton base county.In 2002,it was appraised by the Ministry of Agriculture as the'Hometown of High-yield Cotton Production in China',with an annual cotton planting area of about 43000 ha.Traditional cotton planting has disadvantages such as waste of water resources,low water use efficiency,easy breeding of diseases and insect pests,and unfavorable ground temperature recovery at the seedling stage.In order to solve the low water use efficiency in cotton planting in Yuepuhu County,reduce the occurrence of diseases and insect pests,promote sustainable cotton production,and improve the economic benefits and local ecological benefits of cotton planting,Yuepuhu County promoted the application of the resource-saving technology drip irrigation under ground membrane cotton comprehensive cultivation technology mainly promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture.This paper mainly discusses the disadvantages of traditional cotton planting,the main technical content of drip irrigation under ground membrane technology,the problems found in the practice process and the solutions,so as make cotton growers in Yuepuhu County better understand the planting technology under plastic film,and to better promote the development of cotton industry in Yuepuhu County and the surrounding regions.Juqing GE 2023Asian Agricultural Research2023,15,2:0
19A Qualitative Study of the Triage of Patients with Non-Traumatic Acute Abdomen显示文摘Objective: To explore the work experience of medical staff in the emergency department of a general hospital in the triage of patients with non-traumatic acute abdomen to formulate corresponding intervention measures and branch evaluation tools. Methods: With descriptive phenomenology as the research method, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the medical staff in a tertiary hospital in Nanjing from February 1st to 10th, 2023, and Colaizzi seven-step analysis was used to analyze the data. Results: A total of 17 emergency medical staff were interviewed in this study. Four themes were derived from the analysis of the data: the etiology of acute abdomen is complex, so it is difficult to categorize them: acute abdomen requires immediate treatment, but the treat will be delayed if the categorization is inaccurate;the high pressure of nurses and the accuracy in categorizing the patients are problems that should be addressed. Conclusion: The categorization of patients with non-traumatic acute abdomen is challenging. 20Structural and Optical Properties of Ce^(3+), Yb^(3+) Co-doped YAG Films by Pulsed Laser Deposition显示文摘Ce3+, Yb3+ co-doped Y3Al5O12 films were prepared by pulse laser deposition. X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectra were used to characterize their structural and luminescent properties. Near-infrared quantum cutting from the films was observed via a cooperative energy transfer from Ce3+ to Yb3+ ions.
