1利用图像和机器学习检测大豆作物幼苗期玉米杂苗显示文摘在大豆-玉米轮作生产过程中,玉米杂苗会与大豆苗竞争水和肥料,而且很容易遮住大豆苗,影响害虫(如玉米根虫)的防控,降低大豆品质。因此,在大豆幼苗期及时检测出玉米杂苗并对其进行处理非常重要。传统的人工检测方法主观性强、效率低,传感器和算法的发展为自动检测玉米杂苗提供了更好的解决方案。本研究在温室环境下模仿田间条件,待玉米和大豆发芽后,连续5天用因特尔RealSense D435相机采集彩色图像,并人工裁剪幼苗图像区域,在此基础上对图像进行分割和去噪。在采集图像形状、色彩和纹理特征值后,对所采集的特征值进行权重分析,保留前10种重要的特征值导入基于特征的机器学习算法中进行模型训练和预测。预测结果表明,支持向量机模型(SVM)、神经网络(NN)和随机森林(RF)的预测精度分别为85.3%,81.5%和82.6%。将数据集导入GoogLeNet和VGG-16两种深度学习模型进行训练,预测精度分别为96.0%和96.2%。VGG-16模型在区分大豆幼苗和玉米杂苗中有较好的表现,彩色图像和VGG-16模型组成的系统可以自动检测大豆生长过程中玉米杂苗的情况,为农民提供准确的信息,帮助其进行生产决策和田间管理。Paulo FLORES 张昭 Jithin MATHEW Nusrat JAHAN John STENGER 2020智慧农业(中英文)2020,2,3:6
2Application of micro-morphology in the physical characterization of urban road dust显示文摘Urban road dust was collected from Vellore City,Tamil Nadu,India,and analyzed.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)was used to examine road dust from nine sampling locations in the study region.SEM image analysis was used to identify various shape factors of collected dust particles.The equivalent spherical diameter of most particles was between 10μm and 30μm.Fine particles had greater concentrations at locations with higher traffic flow.Particles were categorized into four classes based on their shape factors,viz.,spherical,mineral,elongated,or irregular.Spherical particles had the smallest mean equivalent diameter(1.95μm)and mineral particles had the largest diameter(33.3μm).Spherical particles made up the smallest portion of road dust(0-12%)in the study region and mineral particles made up the largest(45-65%).Elongated and irregular particles,each made up 23-30%of road dust.Electron dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis was used to identify the elemental composition of dust particles.Spherical particles were mostly from combustion sources and mineral particles were largely of crustal origin.No individual source was found for irregular and elongated particles.Biological debris was the major source of irregular particles.Jithin Jose B.Srimuruganandam 2021Particuology2021,19,1:1

10Analysis of Wire Vibration in Wire Electric Discharge Machining Process显示文摘Wire electric discharge machining(WEDM)process is used for precision manufacturing.The accuracy of machining is function of various parameters like current,voltage,wire speed,gap between wire and work piece,wire oscillation,work material,wire material,etc.Once the process parameters are selected,it is important that the wire vibrations are less to obtain a good surface finish.Due to the importance of wire vibration in obtaining the surface finish,it is necessary to study the wire vibration.This paper discusses different models of wire vibration presented in the literature and simulates a closed form solution of wire vibration using MATLAB.The transverse vibration of wire is analysed as forced vibration of moving wire with excitation due to the sparks during machining.The resulting partial differential equation is solved by using finite difference method and vibration is also simulated in the finite element package‘ANSYS’.The wire behaviour is investigated under different operating conditions and results of the two methods areAndhare A.B Jithin E.V. 2013仪器仪表学报2013,34,S1:1
11A Review on Challenges in DC Microgrid Planning and Implementation显示文摘DC microgrids are gaining more attention with the increased penetration of various DC sources such as solar photovoltaic systems, fuel cells, batteries, etc., and DC loads. Due to the rapid integration of these components into the existing power system, the importance of DC microgrids has reached a salient point. Compared with conventional AC systems, DC systems are free from synchronization issues, reactive power control, frequency control, etc., and are more reliable and efficient.However, many challenges need to be addressed for utilizing DC power to its full potential. The absence of natural current zero is a significant issue in protecting DC systems. In addition,the stability of the DC microgrid, which relies on inertia, needs to be considered during system design. Moreover, power quality and communication issues are also significant challenges in DC microgrids. This paper presents a review of various value streams of DC microgrids including architectures, protection schemes, power quality, inertia, communication, and economic operation. 12Kisspeptin stimulates oocyte maturation,and food deprivation modulates the abundance of kisspeptin system in zebrafish gonads显示文摘Kisspeptin is a hormone involved in the neuroendocrine control of reproduction in fish.We hypothesized that kisspeptin stimulates oocyte maturation and modulates other reproductive hormones in zebrafish;and the gonadal kisspeptin system in zebrafish is affected during energy unavailability.The main goals of this research were to test in vitro effects of kisspeptin on oocyte maturation and mRNA abundance in zebrafish ovarian follicles and determine how short-term feed restriction affects kisspeptin and its receptors in zebrafish testis and ovary.This study demonstrates the presence of kisspeptin and its receptors in zebrafish(Danio rerio)gonads and its direct action on ovarian follicles in vitro.Kisspeptin(10 ng/mL)induced oocyte maturation,as indicated by germinal vesicle break down at 18-and 24-hours post-treatment.Kisspeptin significantly increased the abundance of mRNAs encoding reproductive hormones and its receptors in zebrafish oocytes.This suggests that kisspeptin-10 affects ovarian functions by modulating other hormones.Reproduction is a process that requires energy.Therefore,whether energy availability affects the kisspeptin system in zebrafish gonads was determined.Food deprivation modulated kisspeptin expression differently in zebrafish testis and ovary.Kiss2 and kiss1ra were upregulated while kiss1rb was downregulated in the testis post-food deprivation.Meanwhile,no changes in kiss in the ovary were found after food deprivation.However,kiss1rb was downregulated in unfed fish at 3-and 7-days post-food deprivation.Overall,our results suggest sex-and tissue-specific changes in the gonadal abundance of the kisspeptin system in zebrafish.The fine tuning of reproduction during energy fluctuations in fish is likely mediated via changes in hormones,including kisspeptin as shown in this research.Azadeh Hatef Jithine Jayakumar Rajeswari Suraj Unniappan 2022Aquaculture and Fisheries2022,7,5:0
13The ghrelinergic system in zebrafish gonads is suppressed during food unavailability显示文摘Ghrelin is an appetite stimulatory peptide that regulates reproduction in vertebrates.The acylation of ghrelin by ghrelin-O-acyltransferase(Goat)is essential for most of its functions.The ghrelinergic system(ghrelin,ghrelin receptor[Ghsr]and Goat)is present in teleost fish ovary and testis.In this research,we determined the abundance of the ghrelinergic system mRNAs in different stages of follicle(oocyte)development in zebrafish ovary.The highest levels of preproghrelin mRNA were observed in the first stage of follicular development(previtellogenesis).Significantly low levels of preproghrelin mRNA were observed in stages 3II,4 and 5 of the follicle development.Ghsr mRNA abundance remained unchanged at early stages of follicle development and decreased in stage 5 compared to other developmental stages.A significant decrease in preproghrelin and Ghsr mRNAs in the testis,and ghsr mRNA in the ovary of zebrafish deprived of food for 3 days were found.At 7 days food deprivation,preproghrelin,ghsr and goat mRNA in the ovary and preproghrelin and goat in the testis of zebrafish were significantly reduced.These results show that metabolic status modulates gonadal ghrelinergic system in zebrafish and provide support for a role for ghrelin in fish reproduction.Azadeh Hatef Jithine Jayakumar Rajeswari Suraj Unniappan 2022Aquaculture and Fisheries2022,7,5:0
14Accounting for the uncertainties in the estimation of average shear wave velocity using VS-N correlations显示文摘Site-specific seismic hazard analysis is crucial for designing earthquake resistance structures,particularly in seismically active regions.Shear wave velocity(V_(S))is a key parameter in such analysis,although the economy and other factors restrict its direct field measurement in many cases.Various V_(S)-SPT-N correlations are routinely incorporated in seismic hazard analysis to estimate the value of V_(S).However,many uncertainties question the reliability of these estimated V_(S)values.This paper comes up with a statistical approach to take care of such uncertainties involved in V_(S)calculations.The measured SPT-N values from all the critical boreholes were converted into statistical parameters and passed through various correlations to estimate V_(S)at different depths.The effect of different soil layers in the boreholes on the V_(S)estimation was also taken into account.Further,the average shear wave velocity of the top 30 m soil coverV_(S30))is estimated after accounting for various epistemic and aleatoric uncertainties.The scattering nature of the V_(S)values estimated using different V_(S)-N correlations was reduced significantly with the application of the methodology.Study results further clearly demonstrated the potential of the approach to eliminate various uncertainties involved in the estimation of V_(S)30 using general and soil-specific correlations.Jithin P ZACHARIAH Ravi S JAKKA 2021Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2021,15,5:0
