1Amplification of in-plane seismic ground motion by group cavities in layered half-space (Ⅱ): with saturated poroelastic soil layers显示文摘As the continuation study on amplification of in-plane seismic ground motion by underground group cavities in layered half-space, this study extends to the case of poroelastic half-space with dry poroelastic and saturated poroelastic soil layers. The influence of poroelastic layers on the amplification of seismic ground motion is studied both in frequency domain and time domain using indirect boundary element method (IBEM). It is shown that for the example of a saturated poroelastic site in Tianjin under the excitation of Taft wave and El Centro wave, the amplification of seismic ground motion in poroelastic case is slightly smaller than that in the elastic case, and the amplification of PGA (peak ground acceleration) and its PRS (peak response spectrum) can be increased up to 38.8% and 64.6%; the predominant period of response spectra in poroelastic case becomes shorter to some extent compared with that in the elastic case. 2Bitter components related to alleviating intestinal obstruction in traditional Mongolian medicine显示文摘Intestinal obstruction is a blockage that keeps digesta from passing through upper or lower intestine.Traditional Mongolian medicine(TMM)has been proven to be efficacious in the clinical treatment of intestinal obstruction.However,the mechanism of its treatment has not been studied.The bitter taste receptors(T2Rs)are highly expressed in the extra-oral digestive system,such as gastrointestinal tract,which can regulate gastrointestinal peristalsis and contraction of gastrointestinal smooth muscle.In the respiratory system,T2Rs can relax the airway smooth muscle and effectively alleviate asthma symptoms.In this review,the theory and clinical applications of bitter herbs in TMM were discussed and the functional expression of T2Rs and bitter taste signal transduction pathway were analyzed to investigate whether bitter Mongolian medicine may play an effective role in promoting gastrointestinal peristalsis.Therefore,the scientific connotation of the theory of bitter medicinal property of TMM was interpreted by combining T2Rs research and application of modern technology.This new research approach may enrich and improve the basic theory and accelerate the modernization of TMM.Hong-Zhen Yu Li-Sha A Xiao-Ping Ji Sung-Bo Cho Gen-Na Ba Peng-Fei Han Ming-Hai Fu 2020TMR Theory and Hypothesis2020,3,2:3

4Microstructure design of C/C composites through electrochemical corrosion for brazing to Nb显示文摘Surface structure of C/C composites has been regulated through electrochemical corrosion at room temperature to modify the residual stress and improve the joining strength when brazed to Nb.The unique crevice corrosion in C/C composites is investigated to reveal the change of corrosion depth and fiber size.The interlacing zone of carbon fiber reinforced brazing alloy replaces the reaction layer in the original joint.Joining area is increased dramatically and the continuous crack will be hindered.The interlacing zone eliminates the stress concentration and relieves the residual stress through reducing the property mismatch.All advantages contribute to the joining quality of C/C–Nb.Shear strength of C/C–Nb joint with 80μm depth reached 37.7 MPa,which was 1.2 times higher than that of original joint.Surface structure design of C/C composites not only expands the application in structure component,but also exhibits the promising application in energy field.Jin Ba Xu Ji Bin Wang Peixin Li Jinghuang Lin Jian Cao Junlei Qi 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,9:2
5Amplification of in-plane seismic ground motion by group cavities in layered half-space (Ⅰ)显示文摘Amplification of in-plane seismic ground motion by underground group cavities in layered half-space is studied both in frequency domain and time domain by using indirect boundary element method (IBEM), and the effect of cavity interval and spectrum of incident waves on the amplification are studied by numerical examples. It is shown that there may be large interaction between cavities, and group cavities with certain intervals may have significant amplification to seismic ground motion. The amplification of PGA (peak ground acceleration) and its PRS (peak response spectrum) can be increased up to 45.2% and 84.4%, for an example site in Tianjin, under the excitation of Taft wave and El Centro wave; and group cavities may also affect the spectra of the seismic ground motion.
