| 1 | Stable isotopes of summer monsoonal precipitation in southern China and the moisture sources evidence from δ^18O signature显示文摘Summer monsoons (South Asian monsoon,South China Sea monsoon and Sub-tropical monsoon) are prominent features of summertime climate over southern China. Dif-ferent monsoons carry different inflow moisture into China and control the temporal and spa-tial distributions of precipitation. Analyses of meteorological data,particularly wind,tempera-ture and pressure anomalies are traditional methods of characterizing moisture sources and transport patterns. Here,we try to utilize the evidence from stable isotopes signatures to trace summer monsoons over southern China. Based on seven CHNIP (Chinese Network of Iso-topes in Precipitation) observatory stations located in southern China,monthly composite precipitation samples have been collected and analyzed for the composition of δ18O during July,2005. The results indicated that the spatial distributions of δ18O in precipitation could properly portray the moisture sources together with their transport pathways. | 3 | Transient Macular Edema after Laser In-Situ Keratomileusis显示文摘Purpose: To investigate the macular changes induced by laser in situ keratomileusisc(LASIK) procedure.Methods: Optical Coherence Tomography(OCT) was used to examine 27 eyes of 15LASIK patients before surgery, and 1 day, 1 week, 1 month after surgery.Results: The mean thick iness of neuroepithelial layer of macula was (195±24)microns, ( 178 ± 16) microns 1 day and 1 month after surgery, respectively, while thebaseline was (174 ± 12)microns. The increase in macular neuroepithelial thickness wascorrelated with the degree of myopia, but not with the duration of suction or thepostoperative BCVA.Conclusion: Mild macular edema is common in the first month following LASIK,especially in high myopia. | 4 | New Eusauropod Dinosaur from Yuanmou of Yunnan Province, China显示文摘Yuanmousaurus jiangyiensis gen. et sp. nov. is erected based on an incomplete skeleton. It is characterized by more complex structures of the neural arches in the dorsal vertebrae than those in Omeisaurus, but less complex than those of Euhelopus; the dorsal vertebra bears 9 laminae, forming three cavities on the lateral surface of the neural arch; the dorsal vertebral neural spines with dorsoventrally-oriented cavities are similar to those of Omeisaurus and Patagosaurus. Yuanmousaurus is more primitive than Euhelopus, but more derived than Omeisaurus. | 5 | Development of an Intelligent Vehicle Experiment System显示文摘Existing vehicle experiment systems tend to focus on the research of vehicle dynamics by conducting performance tests on every system or some parts of the vehicle so as to improve the entire performance of the vehicle.Virtual technology is widely utilized in various vehicle test-beds.These test-beds are mainly used to simulate the driving training,conduct the research on drivers' behaviors,or give virtual demonstrations of the transportation environment.However,the study on the active safety of the running vehicle in the virtual environment is still insufficient.A virtual scene including roads and vehicles is developed by using the software Creator and Vega,and radars and cameras are also simulated in the scene.Based on dSPACE's rapid prototyping simulation and its single board DS1103,a simulation model including vehicle control signals is set up in MATLAB/Simulink,the model is then built into C code,and the system defined file(SDF) is downloaded to the DS1103 board through the experiment debug software ControlDesk and is kept running.Programming is made by mixing Visual C++ 6.0,MATLAB API and Vega API.Control signals are read out by invoking library function MLIB/MTRACE of dSPACE.All the input,output,and system state values are acquired by arithmetic and are dynamically associated with the running status of the virtual vehicle.An intelligent vehicle experiment system is thus developed by virtue of program and integration.The system has not only the demonstration function,such as general driving,cruise control,active avoiding collision,but also the function of virtual experiment.Parameters of the system can be set according to needs,and the virtual test results can be analyzed and studied and used for the comparison with the existing models.The system reflects the running of the intelligent vehicle in the virtual traffic environment,at the same time,the system is a new attempt performed on the intelligent vehicle travel research and provides also a new research method for the development of intelligent vehicles. | YANG Xinhong GAO Feng LIU Guoliang WANG Guofu XU Guoyan | 2010 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2010,23,6: | 5 |
| 6 | Influence of Major Stratospheric Sudden Warming on the Unprecedented Cold Wave in East Asia in January 2021显示文摘An unprecedented cold wave intruded into East Asia in early January 2021 and led to record-breaking or historical extreme low temperatures over vast regions.This study shows that a major stratospheric sudden warming(SSW)event at the beginning of January 2021 exerted an important influence on this cold wave.The major SSW event occurred on 2 January 2021 and subsequently led to the displacement of the stratospheric polar vortex to the East Asian side.Moreover,the SSW event induced the stratospheric warming signal to propagate downward to the mid-to-lower troposphere,which not only enhanced the blocking in the Urals-Siberia region and the negative phase of the Arctic Oscillation,but also shifted the tropospheric polar vortex off the pole.The displaced tropospheric polar vortex,Ural blocking,and another downstream blocking ridge over western North America formed a distinct inverted omega-shaped circulation pattern(IOCP)in the East Asia-North Pacific sector.This IOCP was the most direct and impactful atmospheric pattern causing the cold wave in East Asia.The IOCP triggered a meridional cell with an upward branch in East Asia and a downward branch in Siberia.The meridional cell intensified the Siberian high and low-level northerly winds,which also favored the invasion of the cold wave into East Asia.Hence,the SSW event and tropospheric circulations such as the IOCP,negative phase of Arctic Oscillation,Ural blocking,enhanced Siberian high,and eastward propagation of Rossby wave eventually induced the outbreak of an unprecedented cold wave in East Asia in early January 2021. | Yingxian ZHANG Dong SI Yihui DING Dabang JIANG Qingquan LI Guofu WANG | 2022 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2022,39,4: | 5 |
| 7 | Dynamic Modeling and Analysis of 9-DOF Omnidirectional Legged Vehicle显示文摘The omnidirectional legged vehicle with steering-rails has a specific mechanism feature, and it can be controlled flexibly and accurately in omnidirectional motion. Currently there lacks further research in this area. In this paper, the mechanical characteristics of independent walking control and steering control and its kinematics principle are introduced, and a vehicle has a composite motion mode of parallel link mechanism and steering mechanism is presented. The motion direction control of the proposed vehicle is only dependant on its steering rails, so its motion is simple and effective to control. When the relative motion between the walking and steering is controlled cooperatively, the vehicle can walk perfectly. By controlling the steering rails, the vehicle can walk along arbitrary trajectory on the ground. To achieve a good result of motion control, an equivalent manipulator model needs to be built. In terms of the mechanism feature and the kinematic principle, the simplified manipulator model consists of a rail in stance phase, a rail in swing phase, and an equivalent leg. Considering the ground surface slope during walking, a parameter of inclination angle is added. Based on such a RPP manipulator model, the equations of motion are derived by means of Lagrangian dynamic approach. To verify the dynamic equations, the motion of the manipulator model is simulated based on linear and nonlinear motion planning. With the same model and motion parameters, the dynamic equations can be solved by Matlab and the calculation data can be gained. Compared with the simulation data, the result confirms the manipulator dynamic equations are correct. As a result of such special characteristics of the legged mechanism with steering rails, it has a potential broad application prospects. | 8 | Distance Effect of Ni-Pt Dual Sites for Active Hydrogen Transfer in Tandem Reaction显示文摘Unveiling the distance effect between different sites in multifunctional catalysts remains a major challenge.Herein,we investigate the distance effect by constructing a dual-site distance-controlled tandem catalyst with a five-layered TiO2/Pt/TiO2/Ni/TiO2 tubular nanostructure by template-assisted atomic layer deposition.In this catalyst,the Ni and Pt sites are separated by a porous TiO2 interlayer,and the distance between them can be precisely controlled on the subnanometer scale by altering the thickness of the interlayer,while the inner and outer porous TiO2 layers are designed for structural stability.The catalyst exhibits superior performance for the tandem hydrazine hydrate decomposition to hydrogen and subsequent nitrobenzene hydrogenation when the Ni and Pt site distance is on the subnanometer level.The performance increases with the decrease of the distance and is better than the catalyst without the TiO2 interlayer.Isotopic and kinetic experiments reveal that the distance effect controls the transfer of active hydrogen,which is the rate-determining step of the tandem reaction in a water solvent.Reduced Ti species with oxygen vacancies on the TiO2 interlayer provide the active sites for hydrogen transfer with-Ti-OH surface intermediates via the continuous chemisorption/desorption of water.A smaller distance induces the generation of more active sites for hydrogen transfer and thus higher efficiency in the synergy of Ni and Pt sites.Our work provides new insight for the distance effect of different active sites and the mechanism of intermediate transfer in tandem reactions. | Huibin Wu Bin Zhang Haojie Liang Liming Zhai Guofu Wang Yong Qin | 2020 | The Innovation2020,1,2: | 3 |

| 10 | Retrieval of Atmospheric Horizontal Visibility by Statistical Regression from NOAA/AVHRR Satellite Data显示文摘Based on the atmospheric horizontal visibility data from forty-seven observational stations along the eastern coast of China near the Taiwan Strait and simultaneous NOAA/AVHRR multichannel satellite data during January 2001 to December 2002, the spectral characters associated with visibility were investigated. Successful retrieval of visibility from multichannel NOAA/AVHRR data was performed using the principal component regression (PCR) method. A sample of retrieved visibility distribution was discussed with a sea fog process. The correlation coefficient between the observed and retrieved visibility was about 0.82, which is far higher than the 99.[KG-*7]9% confidence level by statistical test. The rate of successful retrieval is 94.98% of the 458 cases during 2001-2002. | 11 | Evening exercise is associated with lower odds of visual field progression in Chinese patients with primary open angle glaucoma显示文摘Background:Exercise is widely known to lower intraocular pressure and increase ocular blood flow,which may be beneficial for glaucoma management.However,there are few studies that have reported on the relationship between exercise and glaucoma progression.The aim of our study was to investigate the exercise habits of those with primary open angle glaucoma(POAG)and its association with the progression of visual field(VF)loss.Methods:Daily physical activity(PA)was monitored by an accelerometer(ActiGraph wGT3x-BT)which patients wore for more than 10 h of being awake on their right wrists for 1 week.Results:Seventy-one non-progressive and 27 progressive patients were enrolled in the study.24-h moderate to vigorous physical activity(MVPA)exercise showed that POAG patients had similar variation trends consisting of 3 wave peaks and 2 wave hollows.Minutes spent in MVPA was 19.89±15.81 and 21.62±15.10 during 07:00–09:00 h(p=0.204),15.40±14.49 and 15.67±12.43 during 15:00–17:00 h(p=0.822)and 17.26±21.11 and 11.42±11.58 during 18:00–20:00 h(p=0.001)in the non-progressive and progressive group,respectively.Univariate analysis indicated that 10 min of MVPA(18:00–20:00 h)[odds ratio,OR(95%CI)=0.82(0.73,0.92)],average mean arterial pressure[OR(95%CI)=0.96(0.94,0.98)],age[OR(95%CI)=1.06(1.03,1.08)],male[OR(95%CI)=0.67(0.48,0.96)],spherical equivalent[OR(95%CI)=1.14(1.07,1.22)]and IOP-lowering medications[OR(95%CI)=1.54(1.16,2.05)]were significantly correlated with having progressive VF damage.Multivariable analysis showed that 10 min of MVPA(18:00–20:00 h)[OR(95%CI)=0.85(0.75,0.97)]was associated with progressive VF loss even after adjusting for other risk factors.Conclusions:Evening exercise may lower the odds of VF progression,suggesting that exercise habits possibly play an important role in glaucoma progression. | Xiafei Pan Kai Xu Xin Wang Guofu Chen Huanhuan Cheng Alice Jia Liu Laurence Tang Hou Lin Zhong Jie Chen Yuanbo Liang | 2020 | Eye and Vision2020,7,1: | 2 |
