3Effect of Lichong decoction on expression of Bcl-2 and Bcl-2-associated X protein mRNAs in hysteromyoma model rat显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study on effects of Lichong decoction on expression of apoptosis-controlling genes,Bcl-2 and Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax) mRNAs in hysteromyoma tissue of the hysteromyoma model rat.METHODS:Fifty Wistar female rats were randomly divided into a normal group,a model group,a Lichong decoction group,a Guizifuling capsule group and a Mifepristone group.The hysteromyoma rat model was established by intraperitoneal injection of exogenous estrin and progestogens.Pathological examination of uterine tissue,uterine coefficient and uterine transverse diameter were made under optic microscope and expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNAs in uterine tissue in the groups were detected with real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR) technique.RESULTS:After treatment,under microscope it was found that in the Lichong decoction group myometrium thinned,muscle fiber slightly overgrowth or long and thin,regular arrangement,inserting phenomenon of inner circular muscle and external longitudinal muscle was occasionally or not seen in the Lichong decoction group.The uterine coefficient and the uterine transverse diameter significantly decreased(P<0.01),and Bcl-2 mRNA expression significantly decreased(P<0.01) and Bax mRNA expression significantly increased in hysteromyoma tissue(P<0.01) in the Lichong decoction group as compared with the model group.CONCLUSION:Therapeutic effects of Lichong decoction on hysteromyoma is related with decrease of Bcl-2 mRNA expression and increase of Bax mRNA expression.Donghua Li Xin Xu Ruiya Qian Jianguo Geng Yan Zhang Xiaolei Xie Yasong Wang Xiaoli Zou 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:24

5Risk of cardiac rupture after acute myocardial infarction is related to a risk of hemorrhage显示文摘Although cardiac rupture (CR) is a fatal mechanical complication of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), to date no predictive model for CR has been described. CR has common pathological characteristics with major bleeding. We aimed to investigate the relationship between the risk factors of major bleeding and CR. A total of 10 202 consecutive AMI patients were recruited, and mechanical complications occurred in 72 patients. AMI patients without CR were chosen as control group. Clinical characteristics including bleeding-related factors were compared between the groups. The incidences of free wall rupture (FWR), ventricular septal rupture (VSR), and papillary muscle rupture (PMR) were 0.39%, 0.21%, and 0.09%, respectively, and the hospital mortalities were 92.5%, 45.5%, and 10.0%, respectively. Female proportion and average age were significantly higher in the groups of FWR and VSR than in the control group (P<0.01); higher white blood cell count and lower hemoglobin were found in all CR groups (P<0.01). Compared to the control group, patients with CR were more likely to receive an administration of thrombolysis [26.39% vs. 13.19%, P<0.05], and were less likely to be treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) [41.67% vs. 81.60%, P<0.05]. The major bleeding scores (integer scores) of FWR, VSR, and PMR were (17.70±7.24), (21.91±8.33), and (18.60±7.88), respectively, and were significantly higher than that of the control group (11.72±7.71) (P<0.05). A regression analysis identified age, increased heart rate, anemia, higher white blood cell count, and thrombolysis as independent risk factors of CR, most of which were major bleeding-related factors. The patients with CR have a significantly higher risk of hemorrhage compared to the group without CR. 6Atomically dispersed Au_1 catalyst towards efficient electrochemical synthesis of ammonia显示文摘Tremendous efforts have been devoted to explore energy-efficient strategies of ammonia synthesis to replace Haber–Bosch process which accounts for 1.4% of the annual energy consumption. In this study,atomically dispersed Au_1 catalyst is synthesized and applied in electrochemical synthesis of ammonia under ambient conditions. A high NH_4^+ Faradaic efficiency of 11.1% achieved by our Au_1 catalyst surpasses most of reported catalysts under comparable conditions. Benefiting from efficient atom utilization, an NH_4^+ yield rate of 1,305 lg h^(-1) mg_(Au)^(-1) has been reached, which is roughly 22.5 times as high as that by supported Au nanoparticles. We also demonstrate that by employing our Au_1 catalyst, NH4+can be electrochemically produced directly from N_2 and H_2 with an energy utilization rate of 4.02 mmol kJ^(-1). 8Association of Dietary Pattern during Pregnancy and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus: A Prospective Cohort Study in Northern China显示文摘Objective To examine the association of maternal dietary patterns during pregnancy with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) in northern China.Methods The dietary intakes of pregnant women were recorded twice by 24‐hour dietary recalls for three days prior to having been diagnosed with GDM, at 5‐15 and 24‐28 gestational weeks, respectively.GDM was diagnosed, and serum glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c) was measured at 24‐28 weeks.Dietary patterns were assessed by factor analysis. The association of the dietary pattern with GDM and HbA1c was examined by multiple logistic models.Results Of 753 participants, 64(8.5%) were diagnosed with GDM. Four dietary patterns were identified: Western pattern(dairy, baked/fried food and white meat), traditional pattern(light‐colored vegetables, fine grain, red meat and tubers), mixed pattern(edible fungi, shrimp/shellfish and red meat)and prudent pattern(dark‐colored vegetables and deep‐sea fish). Compared with the prudent pattern,both the Western pattern and the traditional pattern were associated with an increased risk of GDM(a OR = 4.40, 95% CI: 1.58‐12.22; a OR = 4.88, 95% CI: 1.79‐13.32) and a high level of HbA1c(a OR = 12.37,95% CI: 1.47‐103.91; a OR = 26.23, 95% CI: 2.54‐270.74). 9Current understanding of ovarian aging显示文摘The reproductive system of human female exhibits a much faster rate of aging than other body systems.Ovarian aging is thought to be dominated by a gradual decreasing numbers of follicles,coinciding with diminished quality of oocytes.Menopause is the final step in the process of ovarian aging.This review focuses on the mechanisms underlying the ovarian aging involving a poor complement of follicles at birth and a high rate of attrition each month,as well as the alternated endocrine factors.We also discuss the possible causative factors that contribute to ovarian aging,e.g.,genetic factors,accumulation of irreparable damage of microenvironment,pathological effect and other factors.The appropriate and reliable methods to assess ovarian aging,such as quantification of follicles,endocrine measurement and genetic testing have also been discussed.Increased knowledge of the ovarian aging mechanisms may improve the prevention of premature ovarian failure.LI Qian GENG XiaoDan ZHENG Wei TANG Jie XU Bo SHI QingHua 2012Science China(Life Sciences)2012,55,8:14

11Lichong decoction reduces Matrix Metalloproteinases-2 expression but increases Tissue Inhibitors of Matrix Metalloproteinases-2 ex-pression in a rat model of uterine leiomyoma显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To study the effect of Lichong decoction(LD) on expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) and metalloproteinase-2(TIMP-2) in a rat model of uterine leiomyoma(UL).METHODS:UL was induced in rats using exogenous estrogen and progesterone.LD was administered(p.o.) for 4 weeks,and mifepristone(RU-486)used as a control.To observe the effect of LD on the uterine coefficient and uterine transverse diameter,a radioimmunoassay method was used to detect serum levels of sex hormones.Light microscopic analyses of pathologic changes in the tissues of UL rats were evaluated.Expression of the proteins of matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) and tissue inhibitors of metalloproteinases(TIMPs) in uterine tissues was assessed by immunohistochemical staining and western blotting.RESULTS:A UL model in rats was established successfully.LD reduced uterine weight,uterine coefficient,and uterine transverse diameter compared with untreated controls.LD reduced levels of estradiol,progesterone,follicle-stimulating hormone,and luteinizing hormone in our UL models.LD improved the pathologic condition of uterine muscle.Expression of MMP-2 protein decreased to varying extents in LD-treated groups,but TIMP-2 levels were enhanced.LD appears to reduce MMP-2 expression and increase TIMP-2 expression in UL tissue.CONCLUSION:These data suggest that the mechanism of action of LD on ULs may involve reduction of MMP-2 expression and increase in TIMP-2 expression in rats.Wang Yasong Li Donghua Xu Xin Qian Ruiya Zhang Yalan Huang Yuhua Geng Jianguo Zou Xiaoli Han Hon-gjuan Zhang Wufang 2016Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4:12
12LARGE EDDY SIMULATION OF OPEN CHANNEL FLOWS WITH NONSUBMERGED VEGETATION显示文摘Results of several Large Eddy Simulations (LES) of open channel flows with non-submerged vegetation are presented in this article. It is shown that the vegetation can make the flow structure in the mainstream direction uniform for both supercritical and subcritical flows. For subcritical flows, the LES results of the ensemble-average of time-averaged velocity distributions at four vertical sections around a single plant are in good agreement with measurements. The velocity sees double peaks at the upper and lower positions of flows. For supercritical flows, the ensemble-average velocities see some discrepancy between LES and measurement results. Some secondary flow eddies appear near the single plant, and they just locate in the positions of the double peaks in stream-wise velocity profiles. 14The construction of a genetic linkage map of non-heading Chinese cabbage (Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis Makino)显示文摘Non-heading Chinese cabbage(Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis Makino) is one of the most important vegetables in eastern China.A genetic linkage map was constructed using 127 doubled haploid(DH) lines,and the DH population was derived from a commercial hybrid 'Hanxiao'(lines SW-13 × L-118).Out of the 614 polymorphic markers,43.49% were not assigned to any of the linkage groups(LGs).Chi-square tests showed that 42.67% markers were distorted from expected Mendelian segregation ratios,and the direction of distorted segregation was mainly toward the paternal parent L-118.After sequentially removing the markers that had an interval distance smaller than 1 cM from the upper marker,the overall quality of the linkage map was increased.Two hundred and sixty-eight molecular markers were mapped into 10 LGs,which were anchored to the corresponding chromosome of the B.rapa reference map based on common simple sequence repeat(SSR) markers.The map covers 973.38 cM of the genome and the average interval distance between markers was 3.63 cM.The number of markers on each LG ranged from 18(R08) to 64(R07),with an average interval distance within a single LG from 1.70 cM(R07) to 6.71 cM(R06).Among these mapped markers,169 were sequence-related amplified polymorphism(SRAP) mo-lecular markers,50 were SSR markers and 49 were random amplification polymorphic DNA(RAPD) markers.With further saturation to the LG,the current map offers a genetic tool for loci analysis for important agronomic traits.Yan Cheng Jianfeng Geng Jingyi Zhang Qian Wang Qingyu Ban Xilin Hou 2009Journal of Genetics and Genomics2009,36,8:9
15急性ST段抬高型心肌梗死继发心脏破裂的预测因素分析(英文)显示文摘研究目的:心脏破裂是急性ST段抬高型心肌梗死最严重的并发症之一,病情凶险,死亡率高。通过明确心肌梗死后出现心脏破裂并发症的危险因素,早期识别心脏破裂高危人群,有利于在急性心肌梗死的早期采取干预措施以减少心脏破裂的发生。创新要点:既往缺乏对中国ST段抬高型心肌梗死继发心脏破裂的系统风险评估,本研究采用回顾性队列研究的方法,完善并健全中国多中心的急性心肌梗死数据库,样本总量达到9798例,为国内同类研究中样本量最多。既往的国外文献报道:女性、高龄、心梗后就诊时间延迟、前壁心肌梗死、溶栓治疗等是心肌梗死后心脏破裂的独立危险因素。本研究在中国人群验证以上危险因素的基础上首次提出就诊时血色素下降及白细胞计数的升高与随后发生的心脏破裂密切相关。新的心脏破裂预测因素的发现有利于对心脏破裂更精细化的危险分层,早期识别心脏破裂高危人群。研究方法:建立中国多中心心肌梗死数据库,比较发生心脏破裂与未发生心脏破裂患者临床特点的差异,筛选敏感特异的心脏破裂的独立预测因素。重要结论:中国人群急性ST段抬高型心肌梗死后心脏破裂的发生率是1.82%,独立预测因素主要包括:高龄、女性、就诊时静息心率增快、前壁心肌梗死、心功能不全、就诊时间延迟、肾功能不全、贫血与白细胞计数升高。本文第一次提出就诊时贫血状态及白细胞计数的升高时与心脏破裂的发生直接相关。Geng QIAN Chen WU Yun-dai CHEN Chen-chen TU Jin-wen WANG Yong-an QIAN 2014Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2014,15,12:8

17Lipoprotein(a) as a Marker for Predicting the Presence and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease in Untreated Chinese Patients Undergoing Coronary Angiography显示文摘Objective Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) has been well known as the risk factor of coronary artery disease(CAD). However, the role of lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] in the development of CAD is of great interest but still controversial. Thus, we aim to explore the effect of Lp(a) on predicting the presence and severity of CAD in Chinese untreated patients, especially in combination with LDL-C. Methods We consecutively recruited 1,980 non-treated patients undergoing coronary angiography, among which 1,162 patients were diagnosed with CAD. Gensini score(GS) was used to assess the severity of CAD. Lp(a) was measured by immunoturbidimetric method. Results Patients with CAD had higher level of LDL-C and Lp(a) compared with non-CAD(P < 0.05). Multivariable logistic regression revealed that Lp(a) > 205 mg/L(highest tertile) predicted 1.437-fold risk for CAD(95% CI: 1.108-1.865, P = 0.006) and 1.480-fold risk for high GS(95% CI: 1.090-2.009, P = 0.012) respectively. Interestingly, concomitant elevated level of Lp(a) and LDL-C conferred the highest risk for both presence [OR = 1.845, 95% CI: 1.339-2.541, P < 0.001] and severity [OR = 1.736, 95% CI: 1.188-2.538, P = 0.004] of CAD. 18Circulating MicroRNAs as Novel Diagnostic Biomarkers for Very Early-onset(≤40 years) Coronary Artery Disease显示文摘Objective Very early-onset coronary artery disease(CAD) is a great challenge in cardiovascular medicine throughout the world,especially regarding its early diagnosis.This study explored whether circulating micro RNAs(mi RNAs) could be used as potential biomarkers for patients with very early-onset CAD.Methods We performed an initial screening of mi RNA expression using RNA isolated from 20 patients with angiographically documented very early-onset CAD and 20 age-and sex-matched normal controls.For further confirmation,we prospectively examined the mi RNAs selected from 40 patients with very early-onset CAD and 40 angiography-normal controls.Results A total of 22 overexpressed mi RNAs and 22 underexpressed mi RNAs were detected in the initial screening.RT-q PCR analysis of the mi RNAs obtained from the initial screening revealed that four mi RNAs including mi R-196-5p,mi R-3163-3p,mi R-145-3p,and mi R-190a-5p exhibited significantly decreased expression in patients compared with that in controls(P<0.05).The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve for these mi RNAs were 0.824(95% CI,0.731-0.917;P<0.001),0.758(95% CI,0.651-0.864;P<0.001),0.753(95% CI,0.643-0.863;P<0.001),and 0.782(95% CI,0.680-0.884;P<0.001),respectively,in the validation set.Conclusion To our knowledge,this is an advanced study to report about four serum mi RNAs(mi R-196-5p,mi R-3163-3p,mi R-145-3p,and mi R-190a-5p) that could be used as novel biomarkers for the diagnosis of very early-onset CAD.DU Ying YANG Sheng Hua LI Sha CUI Chuan Jue ZHANG Yan ZHU Cheng Gang GUO Yuan Lin WU Na Qiong GAO Ying SUN Jing DONG Qian LIU Geng LI Jian Jun 2016Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2016,29,8:5

20Comparative evaluation of the diagnosis, reporting and investigation of malaria cases in China, 2005–2014: transition from control to elimination for the national malaria programme显示文摘Background:The elimination of malaria requires high-quality surveillance data to enable rapid detection and response to individual cases.Evaluation of the performance of a national malaria surveillance system could identify shortcomings which,if addressed,will improve the surveillance program for malaria elimination.Methods:Case-level data for the period 2005–2014 were extracted from the China National Notifiable Infectious Disease Reporting Information System and Malaria Enhanced Surveillance Information System.The occurrence of cases,accuracy and timeliness of case diagnosis,reporting and investigation,were assessed and compared between the malaria control stage(2005–2010)and elimination stage(2011–2014)in China's Mainland.Results:A total of 210730 malaria cases were reported in China's Mainland in 2005–2014.The average annual incidence declined dramatically from 2.5 per 100000 people at the control stage to 0.2 per 100000 at the elimination stage,but the proportion of migrant cases increased from 9.8%to 41.0%.Since the initiation of the National Malaria Elimination Programme in 2010,the overall proportion of cases diagnosed by laboratory testing consistently improved,with the highest of 99.0%in 2014.However,this proportion was significantly lower in non-endemic provinces(79.0%)than that in endemic provinces(91.4%)during 2011–2014.The median interval from illness onset to diagnosis was 3 days at the elimination stage,with one day earlier than that at the control stage.Since 2011,more than 99%cases were reported within 1 day after being diagnosed,while the proportion of cases that were reported within one day after diagnosis was lowest in Tibet(37.5%).The predominant source of cases reporting shifted from town-level hospitals at the control stage(67.9%cases)to city-level hospitals and public health institutes at the eliminate stage(69.4%cases).The proportion of investigation within 3 days after case reporting has improved,from 74.6%in 2010 to 98.5%in 2014.Conclusions:The individual case-based malaria surveillance system in China operated well during the malaria elimination stage.This ensured that malaria cases could be diagnosed,reported and timely investigated at local level.However,domestic migrants and overseas populations,as well as cases in the historically malarial non-endemic areas and hard-to-reach area are new challenges in the surveillance for malaria elimination.Jun-Ling Sun Sheng Zhou Qi-Bin Geng Qian Zhang Zi-Ke Zhang Can-Jun Zheng Wen-Biao Hu Archie C.A.Clements Sheng-Jie Lai Zhong-Jie Li 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:5
