1Toxicity detection of sodium nitrite,borax and aluminum potassium sulfate using electrochemical method显示文摘Based on the inhibition effect on the respiratory chain activity of microorganisms by toxicants,an electrochemical method has been developed to measure the current variation of a mediator in the presence of microorganisms contacted with a toxicant.Microelectrode arrays were adopted in this study,which can accelerate the mass transfer rate of an analyte to the electrode and also increase the total current signal,resulting in an improvement in detection sensitivity.We selected Escherichia coli as the testee and the standard glucoseglutamic acid as an exogenous material.Under oxygen restriction,the experiments in the presence of toxicant were performed at optimum conditions(solution pH 7.0,37°C and reaction for 3 hr).The resulting solution was then separated from the suspended microorganisms and was measured by an electrochemical method,using ferricyanide as a mediator.The current signal obtained represents the reoxidation of ferrocyanide,which was transformed to inhibiting efficiency,IC 50,as a quantitative measure of toxicity.The IC 50 values measured were 410,570 and 830mg/L for sodium nitrite,borax and aluminum potassium sulfate,respectively.The results show that the toxicity sequence for these three food additives is consistent with the value reported by other methods.Furthermore,the order of damage degree to the microorganism was also observed to be:sodium nitrite > borax > aluminum potassium sulfate > blank,according to the atomic force microscopy images of E.coli after being incubated for 3 hr with the toxic compound in buffer solutions.The electrochemical method is expected to be a sensitive and simple alternative to toxicity screening for chemical food additives.Dengbin Yu Daming Yong Shaojun Dong 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,4:9

3Nonlinear evolution of turbulent spots in the near-wall shear flow显示文摘The initial model of turbulent spots with the wall disturbance using the pulse form was proposed. A group of three-dimensional coupling compact difference schemes with high accuracy and high resolution were developed, and implemented to simulate the formation and development of turbulent spots in the near-wall shear flow by means of direct numerical simulation of the Navier-Stokes equations. 4Evolution of the vortex structures and turbulent spots at the late-stage of transitional boundary layers显示文摘The nonlinear evolution process of new vortex structures at the late-stage of the transition, including the 3-D spatial structure of barrel-shaped vortex and 'dark spots' structure observed by experiment research, has been confirmed by our computational results. The formation mechanisms of these structures have been explored. 11CALCULATION OF THREE DIMENSIONAL BOUNDARY LAYER EQUATIONS USING DIFFERENTIAL QUADRATURE METHOD显示文摘An extended differential quadrature method is used to compute nonlinear partial differential equations for tbree-dimensional laminar boundary layer now in this paPer. The key technique to differential quadrature, which is used in determining weighting coefficients for discretization of any order partial derivative, is investigated. The method of computing different weighting coefficients is presented. Three dimensional boundary layer equations are discretized by the differential quadrature method, and relative formula is obtained. 12Heterogeneity identification method for surrounding rock of large-section rock tunnel faces based on support vector machine显示文摘Purpose–The purpose of the study is to quickly identify significant heterogeneity of surrounding rock of tunnel face that generally occurs during the construction of large-section rock tunnels of high-speed railways.Design/methodology/approach–Relying on the support vector machine(SVM)-based classification model,the nominal classification of blastholes and nominal zoning and classification terms were used to demonstrate the heterogeneity identification method for the surrounding rock of tunnel face,and the identification calculation was carried out for the five test tunnels.Then,the suggestions for local optimization of the support structures of large-section rock tunnels were put forward.Findings–The results show that compared with the two classification models based on neural networks,the SVM-based classification model has a higher classification accuracy when the sample size is small,and the average accuracy can reach 87.9%.After the samples are replaced,the SVM-based classification model can still reach the same accuracy,whose generalization ability is stronger.Originality/value–By applying the identification method described in this paper,the significant heterogeneity characteristics of the surrounding rock in the process of two times of blasting were identified,and the identification results are basically consistent with the actual situation of the tunnel face at the end of blasting,and can provide a basis for local optimization of support parameters.Wenhao Yi Mingnian Wang Jianjun Tong Siguang Zhao Jiawang Li Dengbin Gui Xiao Zhang 2023Railway Sciences2023,2,1:0
13One-step synthesis of three-dimensional mesoporous Co_(3)O_(4)@Al_(2)O_(3)nanocomposites with deep eutectic solvent:An efficient and stable peroxymonosulfate activator for organic pollutant degradations显示文摘The effective,stable,and secure catalysts are essential for sulfate radical(SO_(4)·−)-based advanced oxidation processes(SR-AOPs)to the degradation of organic contaminants in water.Heterogeneous supported cobalt-based catalysts are commonly used to activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS)to achieve the degradation.In this work,we synthesized Co_(3)O_(4)@Al_(2)O_(3)three-dimensional(3D)mesoporous nanocomposite(denoted as Co_(3)O_(4)@Al_(2)O_(33)DPNC)in just one step by calcining cheap and green deep eutectic solvent(DES)solution containing Co salt.Co_(3)O_(4)@Al_(2)O_(33)DPNC with the high specific surface area(93.246 m^(2)/g),uniform pore distribution(3.829 nm)and rich porosity(0.255 cm^(3)/g)were attained in a beautiful hierarchical structure which exhibited the open 3D propeller-like microstructure,two-dimensional lamellar substructure with rich folds,as well as the decoration of highly dispersed Co_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles on mesoporous amorphous Al_(2)O_(3).The excellent chemical and thermal stability of Al_(2)O_(3)ensures the high stability of the catalyst,and the formation of the complex hierarchical structure makes the active Co_(3)O_(4)be homogenously dispersed for effective catalysis.The catalyst demonstrated outstanding performance for catalytic degradations of organic pollutants(acetaminophen,oxytetracycline,5-sulfosalicylic acid,orange G and Rhodamine B)by generated SO_(4)·−,·OH and^(1)O_(2).With a very low cobalt content(equal to 28.2 mg/L of Co),the catalyst exhibited very high stability and excellent reusability in the recycling usages,while the leaching of the cobalt element(<0.145 mg/L)was also at a low level.Our catalyst achieved effective degradations of acetaminophen in cycles without losing its stable hierarchical nanostructure.Yuchen Wang Kai Rong Jiale Wei Shanlei Chang Dengbin Yu Youxing Fang Shaojun Dong 2023Nano Research2023,16,8:0
