2Separation process of butanol-butyl acetate-methyl isobutyl ketone system by the analysis to residual curve and the double effect pressure-swing distillation显示文摘The separation of ternary mixture of butanol, butyl acetate, and methyl isobutyl ketone(MIBK) was initially analyzed by the residual curve. In this process, MIBK was chosen as the azeotropic agent during the first step of separation. The optimum mass ratio of extra MIBK was 1.6 in the modified feed stream according to the residual curve. Thus on this condition the top product was butanol-MIBK azeotrope while the bottom product was butyl acetate in the preliminary separation of the mixture. Then the butanol and MIBK azeotrope was separated by the double effect pressureswing distillation with the low pressure column performing at 30 kPa and the atmospheric pressure column at 101 kPa. The optimal operating conditions were then obtained by using Aspen Plus to simulate and optimize the process. The results showed that the mass purities of butanol, butyl acetate, and MIBK were all more than 99% and reached the design requirements. 3Osteoporosis affects both post-yield microdamage accumulation and plasticity degradation in vertebra of ovariectomized rats显示文摘Estrogen withdrawal in postmenopausal women increases bone loss and bone fragility in the vertebra. Bone loss with osteoporosis not only reduces bone mineral density(BMD), but actually alters bone quality, which can be comprehensively represented by bone post-yield behaviors. This study aimed to provide some information as to how osteoporosis induced by estrogen depletion could influence the evolution of post-yield microdamage accumulation and plastic deformation in vertebral bodies. This study also tried to reveal the part of the mechanisms of how estrogen deficiency-induced osteoporosis would increase the bone fracture risk. A rat bilateral ovariectomy(OVX)model was used to induce osteoporosis. Progressive cyclic compression loading was developed for vertebra testing to elucidate the post-yield behaviors. BMD, bone volume fraction, stiffness degradation, and plastic deformation evolution were compared among rats raised for 5 weeks(ovx5w and sham5 w groups) and 35 weeks(ovx35w and sham35 w groups) after sham surgery and OVX. The results showedthat a higher bone loss in vertebral bodies corresponded to lower stiffness and higher plastic deformation. 4Hierarchical Micropore/Nanorod Apatite Hybrids In-Situ Grown from 3-D Printed Macroporous Ti6Al4V Implants with Improved Bioactivity and Osseointegration显示文摘The advent of three-dimensional(3-D) printed technique provides great possibility in the fabrication of customized porous titanium(Ti) implant. However, the bioinert property of the printed Ti poses an outstanding problem. Hybrid micro-arc oxidation and hydrothermal(MAO–HT) treatment on porous metals is able to produce multi-scaled hierarchical orthopedic implant, showing great potential for surface modification of 3-D printed implant. In this study, cylindrical porous Ti6Al4V(Ti64) scaffolds with pore size of 640 μm, porosity of 73% were 3-D printed by electron beam melting process, and their surfaces were left untreated or treated by a combined MAO–HT procedure. In vitro bioactivity was tested by immersion in simulated body fluid for different time points. Then, 12 scaffolds in each group were implanted into the femoral condyles of New Zealand rabbit for 8 weeks. Osseointegration was evaluated by qualitative and quantitative histological analysis, and the bone ingrowth features were probed by sequential fluorescent labeling at 3 and 6 weeks post-surgery. Following the MAO–HT treatment, the porous Ti64 scaffold was endowed with multi-scaled micro/nano-topographies and high amounts of Ca P on its surface.The treated scaffold exhibited drastically enhanced apatite forming ability compared with the untreated one. In vivo test revealed significantly that a higher amount of bone ingrowth and bone implant contact at the treated scaffold. The 2 types of scaffolds had different patterns of bone ingrowth: the treated scaffold exhibited a pattern of contact osteogenesis, by which bone formed directly on the treated implant surface, whereas bone formed distal to the implant surface of the untreated scaffold. 6Adaptation and mitigation for combating climate change - from singletojoint显示文摘Introduction:Adaptation and mitigation are two main approaches to combating climate change.Mitigation is considered as the most important tasks in dealing with climate change in scientific res earch,financial support and technical practices as global warming intensifes;while currently the warming trend still cannot be reversed,and adaptation task seemed to gain urgency although it is late-starting.The synergies and tradeoffs of these two strategies revealed increasingly importance on reduding adverse dimate effects.Research on synergistic relationships has developed from definition and feasible analysis,to the development of quantitative tools and exploration in practice and application,though the latter aspect is still in its initial stage.Outcomes/other.Our review shows that the traits of mitigation and adaptation,the difer-ences and similarities between them,then ilustrate the significance and mechanism of their synergies and tradeoffs.And it is explained that methods and applications of single and integrated models,and cost-effectiveness analysis.Discussion/Conclusion:We hold the opinion that the future research and applications should be enhanced in terms of four aspects:reinforcement of interrelations and common mecha nisms between mitigation and adaptation actions study;building and improving the monitoring and evaluating systems;promoting departmental and regional scale investiga-tions and applications;and establishing policy and security systems.Chunli Zhao Yan Yan Chenxing Wang Mingfang Tang Gang Wu Ding Ding Yang Song 2018Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2018,4,4:1

9Metabolic syndrome and osteoarthritis:Possible mechanisms and management strategies显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA)is mostly considered not a simple cartilage degradation,but a whole joint disorder,with all the joint components involved,such as subchondral bone,synovium and adhesive ligaments/muscles.Moreover,metabolic syndrome(MetS)and OA are both share a low-grade inflammatory state,and an increasing number of studies have found correlations between metabolic syndrome(MetS)and OA.Their correlations imply that OA might not be a simple joint disorder,but also be affected by MetS.MetS is characterized by a series of risk factors,including hypertension,hyperglycaemia,dyslipidaemia,obesity.However,the findings of some studies didn’t agree with the above correlation between MetS and OA,partly due to complexity of MetS.This review summarizes the correlation between different factors of MetS and OA and the strategic methods for managing MetSrelated OA.Possible mechanisms by which each MetS factor is involved in OA onset and progression are reviewed.This work might help better understand OA and inspire new ideas for preventing and treating OA.Qizhao Tan Ai Jiang Weishi Li Chunli Song Huijie Leng 2021Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2021,,1:0
10Stable cycling of LiNi_(0.9)Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.05)O_(2)/lithium metal batteries enabled by synergistic tuning the surface stability of cathode/anode显示文摘Ni-rich layered oxides(LiNi_(0.9)Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.05)O_(2))show great potential in long-range and low-cost lithiumion batteries.However,due to the high surface sensitivity,their practical application is hindered by interfacial instability with electrolytes under high voltage for long cyclic life.Herein,by combining both firstprinciple calculations and time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(TOF-SIMS),a novel surface fluorinated reconstruction(SFR)mechanism is proposed to improve the interfacial stability under high voltage,which could effectively regulate the surface fluoride species to desensitize the LiNi_(0.9)Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.05)O_(2)interface.We demonstrate here that by tuning the ratio of fluoride species,the LiNi_(0.9)Co_(0.05)Mn_(0.05)O_(2)/Li battery could achieve excellent long-term and high voltage performance(163.5 mA h g^(-1)at 0.5 C for 300 cycles under 4.4 V),while the controlled sample decayed to 125.4 mA h g^(-1)after 300 cycles.Moreover,the favorable cross-talk effect induced by SFR further facilitates the incorporation of suitable amounts of Ni ions into the construction of stable solid electrolyte interface(SEI)layer for anode surface.Therefore,the ultra-long cycling stability under high voltage can be achieved by the robust cathode/electrolyte and Li/electrolyte interfaces,which results in excellent interfacial stability after long cycling.This work provides new insights into the surface design of cathode materials and improves the stability of the electrode-electrode interface under high voltage.Chunli Li Xinyu Zhang Zhuolin Yang Haijian Lv Tinglu Song Shijie Lu Yuxiang Zhang Tianwen Yang Fan Xu Feng Wu Daobin Mu 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,12:0

13Molecular cytogenetic map visualizes the heterozygotic genome and identifies translocation chromosomes in Citrus sinensis显示文摘Citrus sinensis is the most cultivated and economically valuable Citrus species in the world,whose genome has been assembled by three generation sequencings.However,chromosome recognition remains a problem due to the small size of chromosomes,and difficulty in differentiating between pseudo and real chromosomes because of a highly heterozygous genome.Here,we employ fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)with 9 chromosome painting probes,30 oligo pools,and 8 repetitive sequences to visualize 18 chromosomes.Then,we develop an approach to identify each chromosome in one cell through single experiment of oligo-FISH and Chromoycin A3(CMA)staining.By this approach,we construct a high-resolution molecular cytogenetic map containing the physical positions of CMA banding and 38 sequences of FISH including centromere regions,which enables us to visualize significant differences between homologous chromosomes.Based on the map,we locate several highly repetitive sequences on chromosomes and estimate sizes and copy numbers of each site.In particular,we discover the translocation regions of chromosomes 4 and 9 in C.sinensis“Valencia.”The high-resolution molecular cytogenetic map will help improve understanding of sweet orange genome assembly and also provide a fundamental reference for investigating chromosome evolution and chromosome engineering for genetic improvement in Citrus.Shipeng Song Hui Liu Luke Miao Li He Wenzhao Xie Hong Lan Changxiu Yu Wenkai Yan Yufeng Wu Xiao-peng Wen Qiang Xu Xiuxin Deng Chunli Chen 2023Journal of Genetics and Genomics2023,50,6:0

16Simvastatin-hydroxyapatite coatings prevent biofilm formation and improve bone formation in implant-associated infections显示文摘Implant-associated infections(IAIs)caused by biofilm formation are the most devastating complications of orthopedic surgery.Statins have been commonly and safely used drugs for hypercholesterolemia for many years.Here,we report that simvastatin-hydroxyapatite-coated titanium alloy prevents biofilm-associated infections.The antibacterial properties of simvastatin against Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis biofilms in vitro was confirmed by crystal violet staining and live-dead bacterial staining.We developed a simvastatin-and hydroxyapatite(Sim-HA)-coated titanium alloy via electrochemical deposition.Sim-HA coatings inhibited Staphylococcus aureus biofilm formation and improved the biocompatibility of the titanium alloy.Sim-HA coatings effectively prevented Staphylococcus aureus IAI in rat femurs,as confirmed by radiological assessment and histological examination.The antibacterial effects of the Sim-HA coatings were attributed to their inhibitory effects on biofilm formation,as verified by scanning electron microscopic observations and bacterial spread plate analysis.In addition,the Sim-HA coatings enhanced osteogenesis and osteointegration,as verified by micro-CT,histological evaluation,and biomechanical pull-out tests.In summary,Sim-HA coatings are promising implant materials for protection against biofilm-associated infections.Tiantong Sun Jie Huang Wang Zhang Xuanqi Zheng Hong Wang Jing Liu Huijie Leng Wanqiong Yuan Chunli Song 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,3:0

19Antioxidative and hepatoprotective activities of the ethyl acetate fraction separated from the fruit of Livistona chinensis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To examine the antioxidative and hepatoprotective activities of the effective fraction separated from the fruit of Livistona chinensis(FLC)and to explore the possible mechanism.METHODS:The antioxidative activities of the various fractions separated from FLC were analyzed by in vitro DPPH(1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical 2,2-diphenyl-1-(2,4,6-trinitrophenyl) hydrazyl,DPPH) radical and superoxide anion free radical(O^(2-)) scavenging assays.The potential hepatoprotective effects of the ethyl acetate fraction separated from FLC(EFLC) were examined in LO_2 cells and mice.LO_2 cells were incubated with EFLC and exposed to H_2O_2-induced oxidative stress.BABL/C mice were orally administered EFLC for consecutive7 d,and fulminant hepatitis was induced by cauda vein injection of Con A on day 7.RESULTS:EFLC showed prominent antioxidative effects in DPPH-and O^(2-) scavenging assays.EFLC pretreatment effectively protected LO_2 cells from H_2O_2-induced oxidative stress by decreasing apoptosis and raising the levels of antioxidant enzymes.Additionally,EFLC protected mice against Con A-induced fulminant hepatitis by markedly reducing the serum levels of alanine transaminase and aspartate aminotransferase,attenuating histological damage of the mouse liver,and elevating the levels of glutathione peroxidase and total superoxide dismutase,while decreasing the contents of methane dicarboxylic aldehyde,tumor necrosis factor-α,and interleukin-1β in the mouse liver.Furthermore,EFLC pretreatment downregulated the protein expression of B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2) associated X protein,caspase-3,caspase-8,Fas,and Fas L,while upregulating the protein expression of Bcl-2 in the mouse liver.CONCLUSION:These findings revealed that EFLC effectively protected against in vivo and in vitro liver injury,and the mechanism is closely associated with its antioxidative and anti-apoptotic properties.Wang Chunli Zhang Liang Wu Meimei Jing Yuntiao Lai Xiaoping Huang Song Zhang Xiaojun 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,4:0
20Targeting UBE2C for degradation by bioPROTACs based on bacterial E3 ligase显示文摘UBE2C(Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 C), a key regulator of cell cycle progression, is a promising target for discovery of antitumor agents. However, it is challenging to develop inhibitors of UBE2C owing to its lack of “druggable” pockets. Bio PROTACs(biological proteolysis targeting chimeras) are a kind of protein-based degraders by fusing an adaptor to a subunit of E3 ligase for ubiquitination and subsequent proteasome-dependent degradation of target protein. We report herein the design and biological evaluation of a UBE2C-targeting bio PROTAC based on the NEL(novel E3 ligase) domain of bacterial E3 ligase Ipa H9.8 and the UBE2C-binding WHB(winged-helix B) domain of APC_(2)(anaphase promoting complex subunit 2). The in vitro ubiquitination test and Mass Spectrometry analysis showed that the bio PROTAC could transfer ubiquitin to surface exposed lysines on UBE2C and catalyzed the formation of polyubiquitin chains.
