1Engineering heterogenous catalysts for chemical CO_(2) utilization:Lessons from thermal catalysis and advantages of yolk@shell structured nanoreactors显示文摘The development of catalytic materials for the recycling CO_(2) through a myriad of available processes is an attractive field,especially given the current climate change.While there is increasing publication in this field,the reported catalysts rarely deviate from the traditionally supported metal nanoparticle morphology,with the most simplistic method of enhancement being the addition of more metals to an already complex composition.Encapsulated catalysts,especially yolk@shell catalysts with hollow voids,offer answers to the most prominent issues faced by this field,coking and sintering,and further potential for more advanced phenomena,for example,the confinement effect,to promote selectivity or offer greater protection against coking and sintering.This work serves to demonstrate the current position of catalyst development in the fields of thermal CO_(2) reforming and hydrogenation,summarizing the most recent work available and most common metals used for these reactions,and how yolk@shell catalysts can offer superior performance and survivability in thermal CO_(2) reforming and hydrogenation to the more traditional structure.Furthermore,this work will briefly demonstrate the bespoke nature and highly variable yolk@shell structure.Moreover,this review aims to illuminate the spatial confinement effect and how it enhances yolk@shell structured nanoreactors is presented.Cameron Alexander Hurd Price Tomas Ramirez Reina Jian Liu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,6:2

9Design of mesoporous ZnCoSiOx hollow nanoreactors with specific spatial distribution of metal species for selective CO_(2)hydrogenation显示文摘In heterogeneous catalysis,the precise placement of active components to perform unique functions in cooperation with each other is a tremendous challenge.The migration of matter on micro/nano-scale caused by diffusion is a promising pathway for design of catalytic nanoreactors with precise active sites location and controllable microenvironment through compartmentalization and confinement effects.Herein,we report two categories of mesoporous ZnCoSiOx hollow nanoreactors with different metal distributions and microenvironment engineered by the diffusion behavior of metal species in confined nanospace.Double-shelled hollow structures with well-distributed metal species were obtained by adopting core@shell structured ZnCo-zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)@SiO2 as a template and employing three stages of hydrothermal treatment including the decomposition of ZIF,diffusion of metal species into the silica shell,and Ostwald ripening.Additionally,the formation of yolk@shell structure with a collective(Zn-Co)metal oxide as the yolk was achieved by direct pyrolysis of ZnCo-ZIF@SiO2.In CO_(2)hydrogenation,ZnCoSiOx with double-shelled hollow structures and yolk@shell structures respectively afford CO and CH_(4)as main product,which is related with different dispersion and location of active sites in the two catalysts.This study provides an efficient method for the synthesis of catalytic nanoreactors on the basis of insights of the atomic diffusion in confined space at the mesoscale.Xinyao Wang Runping Ye Melis S.Duyar Cameron Alexander Hurd Price Hao Tian Yanping Chen Na Ta Hao Liu Jian Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0

11Cyclophosphamide-associated enteritis: A rare association with severe enteritis显示文摘Cyclophosphamide is a potent cytotoxic agent used in many clinical settings. The main risks of cyclophosphamide therapy include hematological disorders, infertility, hemorrhagic cystitis and malignancies. Gastrointestinal side effects reported to date are often non-specific and not severe. We present the first case of a fatal small bowel enteritis and pan-colitis which appears to be associated with cyclophosphamide. 12Resilient and Inclusive Prosperity within Planetary Boundaries显示文摘The current model of economic growth generated unprecedented increases in human wealth and prosperity during the 19th and 20th centuries.The main mechanisms have been the rapid pace of technological and social innovation,human capital accumulation,and the conversion of resources and natural capital into more valuable forms of produced capital.However,there is evidence emerging that this model may be approaching environmental limits and planetary boundaries,and that the conversion of natural capital needs to slow down rapidly and then be reversed.Some commentators have asserted that in order for this to occur,we will need to stop growing altogether and,instead,seek prosperity without growth.Others argue that environmental concerns are low-priority luxuries to be contemplated once global growth has properly returned to levels observed prior to the 2008 financial crisis.A third group argues that there is no trade-off,and,instead,promotes green growth:the(politically appealing) idea is that we can simultaneously grow and address our environmental problems.This paper provides a critical perspective on this debate and suggests that a substantial research agenda is required to come to grips with these challenges.One place to start is with the relevant metrics:measures of per-capita wealth,and,eventually,quantitative measures of prosperity,alongside a dashboard of other sustainability indicators.A public and political focus on wealth(a stock),and its annual changes,could realistically complement the current focus on market-based gross output as measured by GDP(a flow).This could have important policy implications,but deeper changes to governance and business models will be required.Cameron Hepburn Eric Beinhocker J.Doyne Farmer Alexander Teytelboym 2014China & World Economy2014,22,5:0
