1Antitumor activities of human autologous cytokineinduced killer(CIK)cells against hepatocellular carcinoma cells in vitro and in vivo显示文摘AIM: To characterize the anticancer function of cytokine-induced killer cells (CIK) and develop an adoptiveimmunotherapy for the patients with primary hepatocellularcarcinoma (HCC), we evaluated the proliferation rate,phenotype and the antitumor activity of human CIK cellsfrom healthy donors and HCC patients in vitro and in vivo.METHODS: Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) fronhealthy donors and patients with primary HCC were incubatedin vitro and induced into ClK cells in the presence of variouscytokines such as interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), interleukin-1(IL-1), IL-2, and monoclonal antibody (mAb) against CD3.The phenotype and characterization of CIK cells wereidentified by flow cytometric analysis. The cytotoxicity of CIKcells was determined by 51 Cr release assay.RESULTS: The CIK cells were shown to be a heterogeneouspopulation with different cellular phenotypes. Thepercentage of CD3+/CD56+ positive cells, the dominanteffector cells, in total CIK cells from healthy donors andHCC patients, significantly increased from 0.1-0.13 % at day0 to 19.0-20.5 % at day 21 incubation, which suggested thatthe CD3+ CD56+ positive cells proliferated faster than othercell populations of CIK cells in the protocol used in thisstudy. After 28 day in vitro incubation, the ClK cells frompatients with HCC and healthy donors increased by morethan 300-fold and 500-fold in proliferation cell number,respectively. CIK cells originated from HCC patientspossessed a higher in vitro antitumor cytotoxic activity onautologous HCC cells than the autologous lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells and PBMC cells. 32018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 6Solid state fermentation of rapeseed cake with Aspergillus niger for degrading glucosinolates and upgrading nutritional value显示文摘Background:Rapeseed cake is a good source of protein for animal feed but its utilization is limited due to the presence of anti-nutritional substances,such as glucosinolates(GIs),phytic acid,tannins etc.In the present study,a solid state fermentation(SSF) using Aspergillus niger was carried out with the purpose of degrading glucosinolates and improving the nutritional quality of rapeseed cake(RSC).The effects of medium composition and incubation conditions on the GIs content in fermented rapeseed cake(FRSC) were investigated,and chemical composition and amino acid in vitro digestibility of RSC substrate fermented under optimal conditions were determined.Results:After 72 h of incubation at 34℃,a 76.89%decrease in GIs of RSC was obtained in solid medium containing 70%RSC,30%wheat bran at optimal moisture content 60%(w/w).Compared to unfermented RSC,trichloroacetic acid soluble protein(TCA-SP),crude protein and ether extract contents of the FRSC were increased(P< 0.05) 103.71,23.02 and 23.54%,respectively.As expected,the contents of NDF and phytic acid declined(P< 0.05) by 9.12 and 44.60%,respectively.Total amino acids(TAA) and essential amino acids(EAA) contents as well as AA in vitro digestibility of FRSC were improved significantly(P< 0.05).Moreover,the enzyme activity of endoglucanase,xylanase,acid protease and phytase were increased(P<0.05) during SSF.Conclusions:Our results indicate that the solid state fermentation offers an effective approach to improving the quality of proteins sources such as rapeseed cake.Changyou Shi Jun He Jie Yu Bing Yu Zhiqing Huang Xiangbing Mao Ping Zheng Daiwen Chen 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,3:32
7Danshen Injection as Adjuvant Treatment for Unstable Angina Pectoris: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis显示文摘Objective: To systematically evaluate the clinical effectiveness and safety of Danshen Injection(丹参注射液, DS) as one adjuvant treatment for conventional therapy with Western medicine(WM) for unstable angina pectoris(UAP). Methods: Using literature databases, a thorough and systematic retrieval of randomized controlled trials(RCTs) comparing DS plus WM with WM was conducted from inception to April 2015. The extracted data from included studies was analyzed by Review Manager 5.2 software. The Cochrane risk of bias tool was used to assess the quality of included studies, and Begg's and Egger's tests conducted by Stata 12.0 were used to evaluate the potential presence of publication bias. Results: A total of 17 RCTs, which involving 1,433 participants, were identified and reviewed. The meta-analysis indicated that the combined use of DS and WM was significantly superior to WM alone for UAP in terms of the total effectiveness rate of angina pectoris [risk ratio(RR) =1.23, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.17, 1.29, P<0.01] and the total effectiveness rate of electrocardiogram(ECG) [RR=1.18, 95%CI: 1.06, 1.30, P=0.001]. Additionally, DS could also further reduce the content of fibrinogen, adjust blood lipid level, correct T wave inversion, and so on. Fifteen adverse drug reactions were reported in two studies, Four of which appeared in the experimental group. 10Multicenter case-control study of the risk factors for ulcerative colitis in China显示文摘AIM:To evaluate potential risk factors in the development of ulcerative colitis(UC) in China.METHODS:A total of 1308 patients with UC and 1308 age-matched and sex-matched controls were prospectively studied in China.The UC cases were collected from 17 hospitals in China from April 2007 to April 2010.Uniform questionnaires were designed to investigate risk factors including smoking,appendectomy,stress,socio-economic conditions,nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs(NSAIDs),oral contraceptives,diet,breastfeeding,infections and family sanitary conditions.Group comparisons by each factor were done using simple logistic regression analysis.Conditional logistic regression was used for multivariate analysis.RESULTS:By univariate analysis,the variables predictive of UC included feeling stress,light and heavy alcoholic drinking,spicy food,sugar consumption and infectious diarrhea,while heavy tea intake and tap water consumption were protective against UC.On multivariate analysis,the protective factor for UC was tap water consumption [odds ratios(OR) = 0.424,95%CI:0.302-0.594,P < 0.001];while the potential risk factors for UC were heavy sugar consumption(OR = 1.632,95%CI:1.156-2.305,P < 0.001),spicy food(light intake:OR = 3.329,95%CI:2.282-4.857,P < 0.001;heavy intake:OR = 3.979,95%CI:2.700-5.863,P < 0.001),and often feeling stress(OR = 1.981,95%CI:1.447-2.711,P < 0.001).Other factors,such as smoking habit,appendectomy,breastfeeding,a history of measles,rural or urban residence,education,oral contraceptives,and NSAID use have not been found to have a significant association with the development of UC in the present study.CONCLUSION:Our study showed tap water consumption was a protective factor for UC,while spicy food,heavy sugar consumption and often feeling stress were risk factors for UC in this Chinese population.Yu-Fang Wang Qin Ou-yang Bing Xia Li-Na Liu Fang Gu Kai-Fang Zhou Qiao Mei Rui-Hua Shi Zhi-Hua Ran Xiao-Di Wang Pin-Jin Hu Kai-Chun Wu Xin-Guang Liu Ying-Lei Miao Ying Han Xiao-Ping Wu Guo-Bing He Jie Zhong Guan-Jian Liu 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,11:24

12Self-healing alginate-carboxymethyl chitosan porous scaffold as an effective binder for silicon anodes in lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Polymer binder plays a pivotal role in electrochemical performance of high-capacity silicon(Si)anode that usually suffers from severe capacity fading due to enormous substantial volume change of Si during cycling.In an effort to find efficient polymer binder that could mitigate such capacity fading,alginate-carboxymethyl chitosan(Alg-C-chitosan)composite polymer was investigated as a low-cost watersoluble binder for silicon anodes in lithium-ion batteries.The electrostatic interaction between carboxylate(-COO-)of Alg and protonated amines(-NH3+)of C-chitosan forms a selfhealing porous scaffold structure.Synergistic effect on the enhanced porous scaffold structure and self-healing electrostatic interaction of Alg-C-chitosan binder effectively can tolerate the tremendous volume change of Si and maintain an integrated electrode structure during cycling process.The Si nanopowder electrodes with Alg-C-chitosan composite binder exhibit an excellent cycling stability,with a capacity of750 mAh·g-1 remaining after 100 th cycling.In addition,an extraordinary areal capacity of 3.76 mAh·cm-2 is achieved for Si-based anodes with Alg-C-chitosan binder.Zhao-Hui Wu Juan-Yu Yang Bing Yu Bi-Meng Shi Chun-Rong Zhao Zhang-Long Yu 2019Rare Metals2019,38,9:22
13Numerical Prediction and Performance Experiment in a Deep-well Centrifugal Pump with Different Impeller Outlet Width显示文摘The existing research of the deep-well centrifugal pump mainly focuses on reduce the manufacturing cost and improve the pump performance,and how to combine above two aspects together is the most difficult and important topic.In this study,the performances of the deep-well centrifugal pump with four different impeller outlet widths are studied by the numerical,theoretical and experimental methods in this paper.Two stages deep-well centrifugal pump equipped with different impellers are simulated employing the commercial CFD software to solve the Navier-Stokes equations for three-dimensional incompressible steady flow.The sensitivity analyses of the grid size and turbulence model have been performed to improve numerical accuracy.The flow field distributions are acquired and compared under the design operating conditions,including the static pressure,turbulence kinetic energy and velocity.The prototype is manufactured and tested to certify the numerical predicted performance.The numerical results of pump performance are higher than the test results,but their change trends have an acceptable agreement with each other.The performance results indicted that the oversize impeller outlet width leads to poor pump performances and increasing shaft power.Changing the performance of deep-well centrifugal pump by alter impeller outlet width is practicable and convenient,which is worth popularizing in the engineering application.The proposed research enhances the theoretical basis of pump design to improve the performance and reduce the manufacturing cost of deep-well centrifugal pump.SHI Weidong ZHOU Ling LU Weigang PEI Bing LANG Tao 2013Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2013,26,1:20
14Sodium Tanshinone Ⅱ A Sulfonate Injection as Adjuvant Treatment for Unstable Angina Pectoris: A Meta-Analysis of 17 Randomized Controlled Trials显示文摘Objective: To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Sodium Tanshinone ⅡA Sulfonate Injection(STS) as one adjuvant therapy for treating unstable angina pectoris(UAP). Methods: Randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of UAP treated by STS were searched in the China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database(CNKI), VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals(VIP), Wanfang Database, the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(CBM), Web of Science, the Cochrane Library, Embase, and Pub Med, which from inception to January, 2016. The Cochrane Risk Assessment Tool was used to evaluate the methodological quality of the RCTs. The Review Manager 5.3 software was used to conduct the metaanalysis. Results: The results showed that 17 RCTs involving 1,372 patients were included. The meta-analysis indicated that the combined use of STS and Western medicine(WM) in the treatment of UAP can obviously improve the total effective rate [risk ratio(RR)=1.31, 95% confidence interval(CI)(1.24,1.39), P<0.0001], and the total effective rate of electrocardiogram [RR=1.43, 95% CI(1.30,1.56), P<0.0001], decrease the level of CRP [mean difference(MD)=–3.06, 95%CI(–3.85, –2.27), P<0.00001], fibrinogen [MD=–1.03, 95% CI(–1.16, –0.89), P<0.00001], and whole blood high shear viscosity [MD=–0.70, 95% CI(–0.92, –0.49), P<0.00001]. Additionally, the occurrence of adverse drug reaction of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group [RR=3.57, 95% CI(1.28, 9.94), P<0.05]. 15One-year clinical study of NeuroR egen scaffold implantation following scar resection in complete chronic spinal cord injury patients显示文摘The objective of this clinical study was to assess the safety and feasibility of the collagen scaffold, Neuro Regen scaffold, one year after scar tissue resection and implantation. Scar tissue is a physical and chemical barrier that prevents neural regeneration. However, identification of scar tissue is still a major challenge. In this study, the nerve electrophysiology method was used to distinguish scar tissue from normal neural tissue, and then different lengths of scars ranging from 0.5–4.5 cm were surgically resected in five complete chronic spinal cord injury(SCI) patients. The NeuroR egen scaffold along with autologous bone marrow mononuclear cells(BMMCs), which have been proven to promote neural regeneration and SCI recovery in animal models, were transplanted into the gap in the spinal cord following scar tissue resection. No obvious adverse effects related to scar resection or Neuro Regen scaffold transplantation were observed immediately after surgery or at the 12-month follow-up. In addition, patients showed partially autonomic nervous function improvement, and the recovery of somatosensory evoked potentials(SSEP) from the lower limbs was also detected. 18The impact of cleft lip and palate repair on maxillofacial growth显示文摘Surgical correction is central to current team-approached cleft treatment. Cleft surgeons are always concerned about the impact of their surgical maneuver on the growth of the maxilla. Hypoplastic maxilla, concaved mid-face and deformed dental arch have constantly been reported after cleft treatments. It is very hard to completely circumvent these postoperative complications by current surgical protocols. In this paper, we discussed the factors that inhibit the maxillofacial growth on cleft patients. These factors included pre-surgical intervention, the timing of cleft palate and alveolae repair, surgical design and treatment protocol.Also, we made a review about the influence on the maxillary growth in un-operated cleft patients. On the basis of previous researches, we can conclude that most of scholars express identity of views in these aspects: early palatoplasty lead to maxilla growth inhibition in all dimensions; secondary alveolar bone graft had no influence on maxilla sagittal growth; cleft lip repair inhibited maxilla sagittal length in patients with cleft lip and palate; Veau's pushback palatoplasty and Langenbeck's palatoplasty with relaxing incisions were most detrimental to growth; Furlow palatoplasty showed little detrimental effect on maxilla growth;timing of hard palate closure, instead of the sequence of hard or soft palate repair, determined the postoperative growth. 19Human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells loaded on linear ordered collagen scaffold improves functional recovery after completely transected spinal cord injury in canine显示文摘Traumatic spinal cord injury(SCI) is a major challenge in the clinic. In this study, we sought to examine the synergistic effects of linear ordered collagen scaffold(LOCS) and human placenta-derived mesenchymal stem cells(hPMSCs) when transplanted into completely transected beagle dogs. After 36 weeks observation, we found that LOCS+hPMSCs implants promoted better hindlimb locomotor recovery than was observed in the non-treatment(control) group and LOCS group. Histological analysis showed that the regenerated tissue after treatment was well integrated with the host tissue, and dramatically reduced the volume of cystic and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans(CSPGs) expression. Furthermore, the LOCS+hPMSCs group also showed more neuron-specific βIII-tubulin(Tuj-1)-and NeuN-positive neurons in the lesion area, as well as axonal regeneration, remyelination and synapse formation in the lesion site. Additionally, dogs in the LOCS+hPMSCs group experienced enhanced sprouting of both ascending(CGRP-positive) sensory fibers and descending(5-HT-and TH-positive) motor fibers at the lesion area. All these data together suggested that the combined treatment had beneficial effects on neuronal regeneration and functional improvement in a canine complete transection model.
