| 1 | Hybrids perfluorosulfonic acid ionomer and silicon oxide membrane for application in ion-exchange polymer-metal composite actuators显示文摘This paper reports a new technique to fabricate an ion-exchange polymer-metal composite (IPMC) actuator. This technique is based on a hybrid organic-inorganic composite membrane. In the fabrication course, silica oxide particles, prepared from hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate in situ with sol-gel reaction, co-crystallize with perfluorosulfonate acid (PFSA) ionomer. Attenuated total reflectance fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) analyses demonstrate that a highly water-saving hybrid membrane is formed. Measurements of mechanical properties reveal that elastic modulus and hardness of the hybrid membrane are about 2 times compared to a commercial PFSA membrane. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) results show that the hybrid membrane has a high porosity. Inside the membrane pores, there exists a great quantity of micro scale channels in the range of 100―300 nm. After fabrication of IPMC actuator, an electric current sensor, a force sensor, and a high speed camera are assembled and used to evaluate IPMC performance. | 6 | Amorphous TiO_2-supported Keggin-type ionic liquid catalyst catalytic oxidation of dibenzothiophene in diesel显示文摘Supported ionic liquid(IL) catalysts [C_nmim]_3PMo_(12)O_(40)/Am TiO_2(amorphous TiO_2) were synthesized through a one-step method for extraction coupled catalytic oxidative desulfurization(ECODS) system. Characterizations such as FTIR, DRS,wide-angle XRD, N_2 adsorption–desorption and XPS were applied to analyze the morphology and Keggin structure of the catalysts. In ECODS with hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant, it was found that ILs with longer alkyl chains in the cationic moiety had a better effect on the removal of dibenzothiophene. The desulfurization could reach 100% under optimal conditions, and GC–MS analysis was employed to detect the oxidized product after the reaction. Factors affecting the desulfurization efficiencies were discussed, and a possible mechanism was proposed. In addition, cyclic experiments were also conducted to investigate the recyclability of the supported catalyst. | 8 | Force optimization of ionic polymer metal composite actuators by an orthogonal array method显示文摘Ionic polymer metal composites (IPMCs), a new kind of electro-active polymer, can be used for micro robotic actuators, artificial muscles and dynamic sensors. However, IPMC actuators have the major drawbacks of a low generative blocking force and dependence on a humid environment, which limit their further application. Multiple process parameters for the fabrication of IPMCs were optimized to produce a maximum blocking force; the parameters included reducing agent concentration, platinum salt concentration in the initial compositing process, and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) content. An orthogonal array method was designed and a series of fabrication experiments were carried out to identify the optimum process parameters. The results show that the platinum salt concentration in the initial compositing process plays the most significant role in improving the blocking force of IPMCs, the TEOS content plays an important role, and the reducing agent concentration has no apparent effect on the blocking force. In the optimized conditions, the IPMC actuator exhibited maximum blocking force of 50 mN, and the corresponding displacement was 14 mm. Compared with normal conditions, the blocking force improved 2.4-fold without sacrificing the displacement, and the effective air-operating life was prolonged 5.8-fold for the blocking force and 5-fold for the displacement. | 17 | A Novel DT40 Antibody Library for the Generation of Monoclonal Antibodies显示文摘Early etiological diagnosis is very important for the control of sudden viral infections,and requires antibodies with both high sensitivity and high specificity.Traditional antibody preparation methods have limitations,such as a long and arduous cycle,complicated operation,and high expenses.A chicken lymphoma cell line,DT40,is known to produce IgM-type antibodies and undergo gene conversion and somatic mutation in the variable region of the immunoglobulin gene during culture.Here,the DT40 cell line was developed to produce antibody libraries and prepare antibody rapidly in vitro.Since hypermutation in DT40 cells was regulated by the activation-induced cytidine deaminase(AID)gene,AID expression needs to be controlled to either fix the Ig sequence by stopping mutation or improve affinity by resuming mutation after the antibodies have been selected.In this study,we generated a novel AID-inducible DT40 cell line(DT40-H7),in which the endogenous AID gene was knocked out using the CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing system,and an inducible AID gene,based on the Tet-Off expression system,was stably transfected.AID expression was controlled in DT40-H7 cells in a simple and efficient manner;gene conversion and point mutations were observed only when AID was expressed.Using the antibody library generated from this cell line,we successfully obtained monoclonal antibodies against the NS1 protein of Zika virus.The DT40-H7 cell line represents a useful tool for the selection and evolution of antibodies and may also be a powerful tool for the rapid selection and generation of diagnostic antibodies for emerging infectious diseases. | Bei Wang Fei Wang He Huang Zhendong Zhao | 2019 | Virologica Sinica2019,34,6: | 1 |
