| 1 | Spectral analysis and self-adjusting mechanism for oscillation phenomenon in hydrogen-oxygen continuously rotating detonation engine显示文摘The continuously rotating detonation engine(CRDE)is a new concept of engines for aircraft and spacecraft.Quasi-stable continuously rotating detonation(CRD)can be observed in an annular combustion chamber,but the sustaining,stabilizing and adjusting mechanisms are not yet clear.To learn more deeply into the CRDE,experimental studies have been carried out to investigate hydrogen-oxygen CRDE.Pressure histories are obtained during each shot,which show that stable CRD waves are generated in the combustor,when feeding pressures are higher than 0.5 MPa for fuel and oxidizer,respectively.Each shot can keep running as long as fresh gas feeding maintains.Close-up of the pressure history shows the repeatability of pressure peaks and indicates the detonation velocity in hydrogen–oxygen CRD,which proves the success of forming a stable CRD in the annular chamber.Spectrum of the pressure history matches the close-up analysis and confirms the CRD.It also shows multi-wave phenomenon and affirms the fact that in this case a single detonation wave is rotating in the annulus.Moreover,oscillation phenomenon is found in pressure peaks and a self-adjusting mechanism is proposed to explain the phenomenon. | Liu Yusi Wang Yuhui Li Yongsheng Li Yang Wang Jianping | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2015,28,3: | 14 |
| 2 | Activation of mTORC1 in subchondral bone preosteoblasts promotes osteoarthritis by stimulating bone sclerosis and secretion of CXCL12显示文摘Increasing evidences show that aberrant subchondral bone remodeling plays an important role in the development of osteoarthritis(OA).However,how subchondral bone formation is activated and the mechanism by which increased subchondral bone turnover promotes cartilage degeneration during OA remains unclear.Here,we show that the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1(mTORC1)pathway is activated in subchondral bone preosteoblasts(Osterix+)from OA patients and mice.Constitutive activation of mTORC1 in preosteoblasts by deletion of the mTORC1 upstream inhibitor,tuberous sclerosis 1,induced aberrant subchondral bone formation,and sclerosis with little-to-no effects on articular cartilage integrity,but accelerated posttraumatic OA development in mice.In contrast,inhibition of mTORC1 in preosteoblasts by disruption of Raptor(mTORC1-specific component)reduced subchondral bone formation and cartilage degeneration,and attenuated post-traumatic OA in mice.Mechanistically,mTORC1 activation promoted preosteoblast expansion and Cxcl12 secretion,which induced subchondral bone remodeling and cartilage degeneration during OA.A Cxcl12-neutralizing antibody reduced cartilage degeneration and alleviated OA in mice.Altogether,these findings demonstrate that mTORC1 activation in subchondral preosteoblasts is not sufficient to induce OA,but can induce aberrant subchondral bone formation and secrete of Cxcl12 to accelerate disease progression following surgical destabilization of the joint.Pharmaceutical inhibition of the pathway presents a promising therapeutic approach for OA treatment. | Chuangxin Lin Liangliang Liu Chun Zeng Zhong-Kai Cui Yuhui Chen Pinling Lai Hong Wang Yan Shao Haiyan Zhang Rongkai Zhang Chang Zhao Hang Fang Daozhang Cai Xiaochun Bai | 2019 | Bone Research2019,7,1: | 12 |

| 5 | Distribution feature of terrestrial heat flow densities in the Bohai Basin,East China显示文摘Temperature logging curves at 8 boreholes and well-testing temperature data at 142 boreholes are used to determine geotemperature gradients in the Bohai Basin. The thermal conductivities of 86 rock samples are measured at laboratory and the effects of porosity and temperature are corrected to obtain conductivities in situ. Terrestrial heat flow densities at 76 wells are determined based on these data. The distribution of the heat flow indicates that the terrestrial heat flow in the Bohai Basin is relatively high with an average value of 65.8 mW/m2. This characteristic is caused by the tectonic evolution of the basin. | 7 | Long-term bone and lung consequences associated with hospital-acquired severe acute respiratory syndrome:a 15-year follow-up from a prospective cohort study显示文摘The most severe sequelae after rehabilitation from SARS are femoral head necrosis and pulmonary fibrosis. We performed a 15-year follow-up on the lung and bone conditions of SARS patients. We evaluated the recovery from lung damage and femoral head necrosis in an observational cohort study of SARS patients using pulmonary CT scans, hip joint MRI examinations, pulmonary function tests and hip joint function questionnaires. Eighty medical staff contracted SARS in 2003. Two patients died of SARS, and78 were enrolled in this study from August 2003 to March 2018. Seventy-one patients completed the 15-year follow-up. The percentage of pulmonary lesions on CT scans diminished from 2003(9.40 ± 7.83)% to 2004(3.20 ± 4.78)%(P < 0.001) and remained stable thereafter until 2018(4.60 ± 6.37)%. Between 2006 and 2018, the proportion of patients with interstitial changes who had improved pulmonary function was lower than that of patients without lesions, as demonstrated by the one-second ratio(FEV1/FVC%, t = 2.21, P = 0.04) and mid-flow of maximum expiration(FEF25%–75%, t = 2.76, P = 0.01). The volume of femoral head necrosis decreased significantly from 2003(38.83 ± 21.01)% to 2005(30.38 ± 20.23)%(P = 0.000 2), then declined slowly from 2005 to 2013(28.99 ± 20.59)% and plateaued until 2018(25.52 ± 15.51)%. Pulmonary interstitial damage and functional decline caused by SARS mostly recovered, with a greater extent of recovery within 2 years after rehabilitation. | 9 | Carbon-supported Fe/Co-N electrocatalysts synthesized through heat treatment of Fe/Co-doped polypyrrole-polyaniline composites for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘In this paper,we synthesized cathode catalysts(PANI-PPYR,Fe/PANI-PPYR,Co/PANI-PPYR and Fe-Co/PANI-PPYR)with high performance oxygen reduction by using a simple heat treatment process.These catalysts were fabricated by directly calcining the Fe and/or Co doped polyaniline(PANI)-polypyrrole(PPYR)composites.Their electrocatalytic activity for ORR both in acidic and in alkaline media was investigated by voltammetric techniques.Among the prepared catalysts,Co/PANI-PPYR presents the most positive ORR onset potential of 0.62 V(vs.SCE)in 0.5 mol/L H2SO4 solution or?0.09 V(vs.SCE)in 1 mol/L NaOH solution.In addition,the Co/PANI-PPYR catalyst shows the largest limiting-diffusion current density for ORR,which is 4.3 mA/cm2@0.2 V(vs.SCE)in acidic and 2.3 mA/cm2@?0.3 V(vs.SCE)in alkaline media.In acidic media,a four-electron reaction of ORR on the Co/PANI-PPYR and Fe/PANI-PPYR catalysts is more dominant than a two-electron reaction.In alkaline media,however,a four-electron and a two-electron mechanisms are co-present for the ORR on all the prepared catalysts.Co/PANI-PPYR catalyst also presents good electrocatalytic activity stability for ORR both in acidic and in alkaline media. | YI QingFeng ZHANG YuHui LIU XiaoPing YANG YaHui | 2014 | Science China Chemistry2014,57,5: | 8 |

Multiple iron metabolism proteins are expressed in the brain including transferrin receptor and ferritin-H. However, it is still unknown whether they are developmentally regulated in oligodendrocyte lineage cells for myelination. Here, using an in vitro cultured differentiation model of oligodendrocytes, we found that both transferrin receptor and ferritin-H are significantly upregulated during oligodendrocyte maturation, implying the essential role of iron in the development of oligodendrocytes. Additional different doses of Fe3+ in the cultured medium did not affect oligodendrocyte precursor cell maturation or ferritin-H expression but decreased the expression of the transferrin receptor. | 17 | Deformation behavior of Cu-12wt%Al alloy wires with continuous columnar crystals in dieless drawing process显示文摘The microstructure and mechanical properties of Cu-12wt%Al alloy wires which are composed of continuous columnar crystals after dieless drawing forming at drawing speed of 1.0―1.4 mm/s and deformation temperature of 600―900℃ were analyzed, and deformation behavior of the alloy during dieless drawing forming was experimentally investigated. The results showed that in the abovemen-tioned conditions, recrystallization phenomenon was not found during dieless drawing forming. When a drawing speed of 1.0 mm/s was used, the grain boundaries were out of straight gradually with increasing deformation temperature from 600℃ to 900℃, and tensile strength of the dieless drawn Cu-12wt%Al alloy wires increased while elongations decreased with increasing deformation temperature. | 19 | Composition optimized trimetallic PtNiRu dendritic nanostructures as I versatile and active electrocatalysts for alcohol oxidation显示文摘Platinum-based nano crystals are the most effective electrocatalysts for accelerati ng the chemical tran sformatio ns on the anode in direct alcohol fuel cells. To facilitate practical applications and overcome the drawbacks of diverse alcohols, it is significant to develop electrocatalysts with high activities and a wide fuel flexibility. Here, we demonstrate a practicable solution method for fabricating composition tun able trimetallic PtNiRu den dritic nano structures (DNSs) which can serve as versatile and active catalysts for electrooxidatio n of a variety of liquid alcohols. A series of trimetallic DNSs with tun able Pt/Ni/Ru atomic ratios were successfully syn thesized by simply adjusti ng the feeding of precursors. Detailed electrochemical test indicates that, among other compositions, the Pt66Ni27Ru7 DNSs present much superior electroactivity in catalyzing electrooxidation of liquid alcohols in acidic mediums. Specifically, the mass activity and specific activity on the Pt66Ni27Ru7 DNSs, for electrooxidation of methanol, ethanol, and ethylene glycol, are 4.57 and 4.34 times, 3.55 and 3.42 times, and 2.37 and 2.28 times that of the commercial Pt black, respectively. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and CO stripping studies reveal the adsorption of CO on these PtNiRu DNSs is much weaker than on pure Pt. Meanwhile, the surface Ru sites can provide neighbouring -OH groups to facilitate the oxidati on and removal of the adsorbed in termediates (-CO) on the surface Pt sites, effectively improvi ng the CO tolera nee of the catalysts. | 20 | Principle demonstration of fine pointing control system for inter-satellite laser communication显示文摘Due to high data rates and reliability,inter-satellite laser communication has developed rapidly in these days.However,the stability of the laser beam pointing is still a key technique which needs to be solved;otherwise,the beam pointing jitter noise would reduce the communication quality or,even worse,would make the inter-satellite laser communication impossible.For this purpose,a bench-top of the fine beam pointing control system has been built and tested for inter-satellite laser communication.The pointing offset of more than 100rad is produced by the steering mirror.With beam pointing control system turned on,the offset could be rapidly suppressed to lower than 100 nrad in less than 0.5 s.Moreover,the pointing stability can be kept at 40 nrad for yaw motion and 62 nrad for pitch motion,when the received beam jitter is set at 20rad. | DONG YuHui LIU HeShan LUO ZiRen LI YuQiong JIN Gang | 2015 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2015,58,3: | 5 |
