1Impacts of Sloping Land Conversion Program on the vegetation in loess hilly and gully area of northern Shaanxi显示文摘Aiming at alleviating the serious soil erosion, the Chinese government initiated the Sloping Land Conversion Program (SLCP) in 1999. Now, after 8 years of project implementation, the ecological recovery effects of the SLCP have become the hot issue of academic circle. This paper, taking the loess hill and gully area of northern Shaanxi as an example, presents a methodology for assessing the vegetation restoration effect of SLCP with normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI). The key components include calculation of the Growing Season NDVI (GSNDVI), and estimation of the NVDI change induced by climate and SLCP, respectively. Based on the method, the NDVI change between 2000 and 2006 was obtained using the GSNDVI that excluded the noise from snow and ice. After the part of total NDVI change caused by climate variation was estimated using empiric formulae, we obtained the part induced by human factors, i.e. the SLCP. The human induced part of NDVI change was considered as an approximation indicating the effect of the SLCP on the vegetation. Finally, we analyzed the NDVI change characters of the whole study area, different slope lands and different land use types by spatial statistics method. 2Highly green fluorescent Nb2C MXene quantum dots for Cu2+ion sensing and cell imaging显示文摘Niobium carbide MXene quantum dots(Nb2 C MQDs)derived from 2 D Nb2 CTx(MXene)are the rising-star material recently.Herein,a sulfur and nitrogen co-doped Nb2 C MQDs(S,N-MQDs)were synthesized through a hydrothermal method.The obtained Nb2 C MQDs have excellent green fluorescence with a quantum yield(QY)of 17.25%.In addition,they exhibited excitatio n-dependent photoluminescence,antiphotobleaching and dispersion stability.They emit light at 520 nm when excited at 390 nm.The Nb2 C MQDs could be successfully applied to copper ion detection with detection limit of 2μmol/L and Caco-2 cells imaging.Xiang Yan Junfei Ma Kaixuan Yu Jiapeng Li Lei Yang Jjiaqi Liu Juncheng Wang Lulu Cai 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,12:3

4Mathematical modeling of fluid flow and level profile during twin-roll strip casting process显示文摘In twin-roll strip casting process,transport phenomena of fluid in the molten pool directly affect the process stability and the quality of products.In order to elucidate the fundamental transport phenomena in twin-roll casting,a commercial software called ProCAST was employed to simulate the transient fluid flow and level profile behaviors during the early stage of the process in this study.The coupled set of governing differential equations for mass,momentum and energy balance were solved with the finite element method and the transient free surface problem was treated with a volume of fluids(VOF) approach.The effect of different delivery systems configuration on flow pattern,level profile in the pool was studied and analyzed in this paper. 5The SLCP-driven land use changes and farmers' responses in the loess hilly and gully region:a case study for Ansai County显示文摘Taking Ansai County located in loess hilly and gully area as a case,this study analyzes the land use changes driven by the SLCP(Slope Land Conversion Program)and the farmers'responses by household survey and participatory rapid appraisal(PRA).It is found that the SLCP aroused various changes in land use,agricultural production,rural incomes,etc.In the period of 1999-2005,the farmland and grasslands were reduced by 26,809 ha and 17,571 ha respectively,while forestland increased by 38,203 ha;greenhouse vegetable and orchard got a quick development,with the area enlarged by about 7 times and nearly doubled respectively.The SLCP reduced the area of crops particularly those that normally grown on slope lands,e.g.the sowing area of winter wheat dropped from 19.39% of the total cropping area in 1999 to 0.98%in 2005.Draught animals,pigs and sheep have a decline in the number because the remained land and the ban on grazing on natural grasslands can not provide sufficient feed forage.Thanks to the financial subsidy,farmers increased land inputs and thus outputs.To achieve long-term sustain-able development and improve rural income,the government should continuously support farmers to improve the land management,to adopt alternative land use systems,and to increase inputs on soil conservation.Vegetable and fruit production are two promise land use systems,and should be further developed.Wang Qian Lu Changhe Yu Bohua Ma Junfei 2009Ecological Economy2009,5,4:1

7Neural basis of Chinese phonological processing under picture stimulus A functional magnetic resonance imaging study显示文摘Studies concerning phonological processing mainly use written stimuli. Functional magnetic resonance imaging was used to investigate the brain regions related to the phonological processing under the picture stimulus in the rhyme task of Chinese language. Results of the test in 13 healthy college students whose native language is Chinese showed the extensive activation in the frontal lobe, parietal lobe and the occipitotemporal cortex, including the inferior frontal gyrus, middle frontal gyrus, supramarginal gyrus and medial occipitotemporal gyrus under the picture stimuli. 9Terpyridine-Grafted Nitrogen-Terminal Endowing Cyanine with Metal-Ion-Regulated Photophysical Properties for Cancer Theranostics显示文摘Heptamethine cyanines(Cy7)are one of the most important dyes in bioimaging and phototherapy,but they often suffer from poor photostability or limited photothermal conversion efficiency.Here,a facile molecular engineering approach to regulating the photophysical properties of Cy7 by metal ions is demonstrated.By innovatively modifying the nitrogen with functional groups,a novel terpyridine-grafted nitrogen-terminated Cy7 scaffold(denoted as CydtPy)was synthesized and exhibited tunable photophysical properties when chelating with various metal ions(Mn^(2+),Fe^(2+),etc.).In comparison with metal-ion-free PEGylated CydtPy(LET-11),Mn^(2+)-chelated LET-11(namely,LET-11-Mn)exhibited the increased fluorescence emission intensity,and Fe^(2+)-chelated LET-11(namely,LET-11-Fe)showed the enhanced photostability with~2-fold increase in photothermal conversion efficiency.By simply switching the chelated metal ion species,LET-11-Mn or LET-11-Fe could be used for near-infrared fluorescence imaging,magnetic resonance imaging,or photoacoustic imaging.Furthermore,LET-11-Fe displayed superior synergistic efficacy of photothermal therapy and chemodynamic therapy both in vitro and in vivo.This work not only provides a new strategy for regulating the photophysical properties of cyanine dyes but also establishes a versatile nanoplatform for cancer theranostics.Junfei Zhu Gang He Peng-Hang Chen Yajie Zhang Yafei Zhang Shan Lei Yu Zhang Meng Li Peng Huang Jing Lin 2023Research2023,,4:0
10Propolis inspired sunscreens for efficient UV-protection and skin barrier maintenance显示文摘The direct use of naturally occurring,small molecular ingredients in bioinspired sunscreens has raised several concerns due to the instability,photocytotoxicity,and potential blood toxicity of those ingredients.In this work,we have employed natural ultraviolet(UV)-blocking molecule caffeic acid phenethyl ester(CAPE)from propolis to prepare poly(CAPE)nanoparticles(NPs)as the main bioactive ingredient to fabricate propolis-inspired hydrogel sunscreens.Compared with small molecular CAPE,poly(CAPE)NPs exhibited better dispersion and stability in water,as well as lower physiological toxicity and skin permeability.And the resulting composite hydrogels demonstrated promising properties including water-resistant whereas can be easily erased by warm water as well as safety when interacting with skin.More importantly,the hydrogel sunscreens showed excellent UV protection properties both in vitro and in vivo,and the positive effects in maintaining skin barrier functions.This work provides new strategies towards the facile construction of nature-inspired robust sunscreens in the future.Yu Fu Ruoyu Wan Lei Yang Lidan Xiong Junfei Hu Jie Tang Hailun He Zhipeng Gu Li Li Yiwen Li 2022Nano Research2022,15,9:0
11Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD^(+))reduction enabled by an atomically precise Au-Ag alloy nanocluster显示文摘The redox property of the ultrasmall coinage nanoclusters(with several to tens of Au/Ag atoms)has elucidated the electrontransfer capacity of nanoclusters,has been successfully utilized in a variety of redox conversions(such as from CO_(2)to CO).Nevertheless,their biological applications are mainly restricted by the scarcity of atomically precise,water-soluble metal nanoclusters,the limited application(mainly on the decomposition of H_(2)O_(2)in these days).Herein,mercaptosuccinic acid(MSA)protected ultrasmall alloy AuAg nanoclusters were prepared,the main product was determined[Au_(3)Ag_(5)(MSA)_(3)]−by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry(ESI-MS).The clusters can not only mediate the decomposition of H_(2)O_(2)to generate hydroxyl radicals,but is also able to mediate the reduction of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD)to its reduced form of NADH.This is the first time that the atomically precise metal nanoclusters were used to mediate the coenzyme reduction.The preliminary mechanistic insights imply the reaction to be driven by the hydrogen bonding between the carboxylic groups(on the surface of MSA)and the amino N–H bonds(on NAD).In this context,the presence of the carboxylic groups,the sub-nanometer size regime(~1 nm),the synergistic effect of the Au-Ag clusters are pre-requisite to the NAD reduction.Ling Chen Yonglei Du Ying Lv Daoqing Fan Junfei Wu Lingbao Wu Mengting Cui Haizhu Yu Manzhou Zhu 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
12Event-triggered fuzzy neural multivariable control for a municipal solid waste incineration process显示文摘Because of coupling,nonlinearity,and uncertainty in a municipal solid waste incineration(MSWI)process,a suitable multivariable controller is difficult to establish under strong disturbance.Additionally,the problems of reducing mechanical wear and energy consumption in the control process should also be considered.To solve these problems,an event-triggered fuzzy neural multivariable controller is proposed in this paper.First,the MSWI object model based on the multiinput multioutput TakagiSugeno fuzzy neural network is established using a data-driven method.Second,a fuzzy neural multivariable controller is designed to control the furnace temperature and flue gas oxygen content synchronously under external disturbance.Third,an event-triggered mechanism is constructed to update the control rate online while ensuring control effects.Then,the stability of the proposed control strategy is proven through the LyapunovⅡtheorem to guide its practical application.Finally,the effectiveness of the controller is verified using the real industrial data of an MSWI factory in Beijing,China.The experimental results show that the proposed control strategy greatly improves the control efficiency,reduces energy consumption by 66.23%,and improves the multivariable tracking control accuracy.DING HaiXu QIAO JunFei HUANG WeiMin YU Tao 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,11:0
