1Age–age correlations and early selection for growth traits in 40 half-sib families of Larix principis-rupprechtii显示文摘Larix principis-rupprechtii Mayr is a dominant species in coniferous forests of North China.However,early selection of L.principis-rupprechtii for growth traits is poorly characterised.To explore the optimal selection age for this species,heights(HT)and diameters at breast(DBH)of 40 half-sib families were measured at ages 3,12,22,and 28 years in a progeny test population established in the town of Kangjiahui,Shanxi Province.Age trends in heritability,age–age genetic correlations,and early selection efficiency for height and DBH were analysed.The individual heritability of these growth traits varied over time,and maximized at different ages(0.55 at age 12 for HT and 0.48 at age 28 for DBH).The age–age genetic correlations were always positive,and the majority were high(0.790–0.953)between the juvenile and mature ages for HT and DBH.For the same pairs of measurements,HT demonstrated higher age–age genetic correlations than DBH,and both age–age genetic correlation data sets were described well by the linear relationship with the logarithm of the age ratio(r2[0.90).The regression slope for DBH was lower than that for HT.Based on the early selection efficiency estimates,the optimal selection age could be as early as age 6 for DBH and 8–9 years for HT.The results of this study provide information that can be used to assist early selection practices in L.principis-rupprechtii improvement programs in Shanxi Province.Mingliang Dong Yingming Fan Zhihui Wu Futang Lv Jinfeng Zhang 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,6:6

3Self-anti-angiogenesis nanoparticles enhance anti-metastatic-tumor efficacy of chemotherapeutics显示文摘Beyond traditional endothelium-dependent vessel(EDV),vascular mimicry(VM)is another critical tumor angiogenesis that further forms in many malignant metastatic tumors.However,the existing anti-angiogenesis combined chemotherapeutics strategies are only efficient for the treatment of EDV-based subcutaneous tumors,but remain a great challenge for the treatment of in situ malignant metastatic tumor associated with EDV and VM.Here,we demonstrate a self-assembled nanoparticle(VE-DDP-Pro)featuring self-anti-EDV and-VM capacity enables to significantly enhance the treatment efficacy of cisplatin(DDP)against the growth and metastasis of ovarian cancer.The VE-DDP-Pro is constructed by patching DDP loaded cRGD-folate-heparin nanoparticles(VE)onto the surface of protamine(Pro)nanoparticle.We demonstrated the self-anti-angiogenesis capacity of VE-DDP-Pro was attributed to VE,which could significantly inhibit the formation of EDV and VM by regulating signaling pathway of MMP-2/VEGF,AKT/mTOR/MMP-2/Laminin and AKT/mTOR/EMT,facilitating chemotherapeutics to effectively suppress the development and metastasis of ovarian cancer.Thus,combing with the chemotherapeutics effectiveness of DDP,the VE-DDP-Pro can significantly enhance treatment efficacy and prolong median survival of mice with metastatic ovarian cancer.We believe our self-assembled nanoparticles integrating the anti-EDV and anti-VM capacity provide a new preclinical sight to enhance the efficacy of chemotherapeutics for the treatment malignant metastasis tumor.Jiamao Luo Xinxian Zhong Yingming Peng Chenyuan Hao Xiaomei Liang Yulu Yang Xiubo Shi Xuncai Chen Xiao Yi iaoxuan Li Jianhua Wu Jinheng Li Qian Xiao Chentian Wu b Ruojing Lu b Yao Pan Xuejiao Wang Jun-Bing Fan Yifeng Wang Ying Wang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,7:1
4Single-cell-resolution transcriptome map revealed novel genes involved in testicular germ cell progression and somatic cells specification in Chinese tongue sole with sex reversal显示文摘Female-to-male sex reversals(pseudomales)are common in lower vertebrates and have been found in natural populations,which is a concern under rapid changes in environmental conditions.Pseudomales can exhibit altered spermatogenesis.However,the regulatory mechanisms underlying pseudomale spermatogenesis remain unclear.Here,we characterized spermatogenesis in Chinese tongue sole(Cynoglossus semilaevis),a species with genetic and environmental sex determination,based on a highresolution single-cell RNA-seq atlas of cells derived from the testes of genotypic males and pseudomales.We identified five germ cell types and six somatic cell types and obtained a single-cell atlas of dynamic changes in gene expression during spermatogenesis in Chinese tongue sole,including alterations in pseudomales.We detected decreased levels of Ca^(2+)signaling pathway-related genes in spermatogonia,insufficient meiotic initiation in spermatocytes,and a malfunction of somatic niche cells in pseudomales.However,a cluster of CaSR genes and MAPK signaling factors were upregulated in undifferentiated spermatogonia of pseudomales.Additionally,we revealed that Z chromosome-specific genes,such as piwil2,dhx37,and ehmt1,were important for spermatogenesis.These results improve our understanding of reproduction after female-to-male sex-reversal and provide new insights into the adaptability of reproductive strategies in lower vertebrates.Hong-Yan Wang Xiang Liu Jian-Yang Chen Yingyi Huang Yifang Lu Fujian Tan Qun Liu Mingming Yang Shuo Li Xianghui Zhang Yating Qin Wenxiu Ma Yingming Yang Liang Meng Kaiqiang Liu Qian Wang Guangyi Fan Rafael H.Nóbrega Shanshan Liu Francesc Piferrer Changwei Shao 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,5:1

6Real-time forward modeling and inversion of logging-while-drilling electromagnetic measurements in horizontal wells显示文摘Based on the pseudo-analytical equation of electromagnetic log for layered formation,an optimal boundary match method is proposed to adaptively truncate the encountered formation structures.An efficient integral method is put forward to significantly accelerate the convergence of Sommerfeld integral.By asymptotically approximating and subtracting the first reflection/transmission waves from the scattered field,the new Sommerfeld integral method has addressed difficulties encountered by the traditional digital filtering method,such as low computational precision and limited operating range,and realized the acceleration of the computation speed of logging-while-drilling electromagnetic measurements(LWD EM).By making use of the priori information from the offset/pilot wells and interactively adjusting the formation model,the optimum initial guesses of the inversion model is determined in order to predict the nearby formation boundaries.The gradient optimization algorithm is developed and an interactive inversion system for the LWD EM data from the horizontal wells is established.The inverted results of field data demonstrated that the real-time interactive inversion method is capable of providing the accurate boundaries of layers around the wellbore from the LWD EM,and it will benefit the wellbore trajectory optimization and reservoir interpretation.WANG Lei LIU Yingming WANG Caizhi FAN Yiren WU Zhenguan 2021Petroleum Exploration and Development2021,48,1:0
7Genetic diversity and population structure of Robinia pseudoacacia from six improved variety bases in China as revealed by simple sequence repeat markers显示文摘Robinia pseudoacacia is an important afforesta-tion tree introduced to China in 1878.In the present study,we examined the genetic diversity among 687 strains rep-resenting four improved varieties and two secondary prov-enances,comprising 641 clones and 46 seedlings.Ninety-one simple sequence repeats(SSRs)were selected through segregation analysis and polymorphism characterization,and all sampled individuals were genotyped using well-characterized SSR markers.After excluding loci with non-neutral equilibrium,missing locus data and null alleles,we used 36 primer pairs to assess the genetic diversity of these germplasm resources,revealing vast genetic differentiation among the samples,with an average of 8.352 alleles per locus and a mean Shannon′s index of 1.302.At the popula-tion level,the partitioning of variability was assessed using analysis of molecular variance,which revealed 93%and 7%variation within and among collection sites,respectively.Four clusters were detected using structure analysis,indi-cating a degree of genetic differentiation among the six populations.Insights into the genetic diversity and structure of R.pseudoacacia provide a theoretical basis for the con-servation,breeding and sustainable development in China.Qi Guo Sen Cao Li Dong Xiuyu Li Jiangtao Zhang Yuanshuai Zhang Zijie Zhang Yuhan Sun Cui Long Yingming Fan Chao Han Peiyao Han Xiaodi Liu Yun Li 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,2:0
