Effects of resource additions on species richness and ANPP in an alpine meadow community显示文摘Aims Theories based on resource additions indicate that plant species richness is mainly determined by the number of limiting resources. However, the individual effects of various limiting resources on species richness and aboveground net primary productivity(ANPP)are less well understood. Here,we analyzed potential linkages between additions of limiting resources, species loss and ANPP increase and further explored the underlying mechanisms. Methods Resources(N,P,K and water)were added in a completely randomized block design to alpine meadow plots in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.Plant aboveground biomass, species composition, mean plant height and light availability were measured in each plot.Regression and analysis of variance were used to analyze the responses of these measures to the different resource-addition treatments.Important Findings Species richness decreased with increasing number of added limiting resources, suggesting that plant diversity was apparently determined by the number of limiting resources.Nitrogen was the most important limiting resource affecting species richness, whereas Pand K alone had negligible effects. The largest reduction in species richness occurred when all three elements were added in combination.Water played a different role compared with the other limiting resources.Species richness increased when water was added to the treatments with N and P or with N,P and K.The decreases in species richness after resource additions were paralleled by increases in ANPP and decreases in light penetration into the plant canopy, suggesting that increased light competitionwas responsible for the negative effects of resource additions on plant species richness.Zhengwei Ren Qi Li Chengjin Chu Luqiang Zhao Jieqi Zhang Dexiecuo Ai Yingbo Yang Gang Wang 2010Journal of Plant Ecology2010,3,1:40
Gossypol: phytoalexin of cotton显示文摘Sesquiterpenoids are a class of 15-carbon secondary metabolites that play diverse roles in plant adaptation to environment.Cotton plants accumulate a large amount of sesquiterpene aldehydes(including gossypol)as phytoalexins against pathogens and herbivores. They are stored in pigment glands of aerial organs and in epidermal layers of roots.Several enzymes of gossypol biosynthesis pathway have been characterized, including 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase(HMGR)and farnesyl diphosphate synthase(FPS)that catalyze the formation of the precursor farnesyl diphosphate(FPP),(+)-δ-cadinene synthase(CDN)which is the first enzyme committed to gossypol biosynthesis, and the downstream enzymes of CYP706B1 and methyltransferase.Expressions of these genes are tightly regulated during cotton plants development and induced by jasmonate and fungi elicitors. The transcription factor Ga WRKY1 has been shown to be involved in gossypol pathway regulation.Recent development of new genomic platforms and methods and releases of diploid and tetraploid cotton genome sequences will greatly facilitate the elucidation of gossypol biosynthetic pathway and its regulation.Xiu Tian Juxin Ruan Jinquan Huang Xin Fang Yingbo Mao Lingjian Wang Xiaoya Chen Changqing Yang 2016Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,2:10
Notoginsenoside Ft1 acts as a TGR5 agonist but FXR antagonist to alleviate high fat diet-induced obesity and insulin resistance in mice显示文摘Obesity and its associated complications are highly related to a current public health crisis around the world.A growing body of evidence has indicated that G-protein coupled bile acid(BA) receptor TGR5(also known as Gpbar-1) is a potential drug target to treat obesity and associated metabolic disorders. We have identified notoginsenoside Ftl(Ftl) from Panax notoginseng as an agonist of TGR5 in vitro. However, the pharmacological effects of Ftl on diet-induced obese(DIO) mice and the underlying mechanisms are still elusive. Here we show that Ftl(100 mg/100 diet) increased adipose lipolysis, promoted fat browning in inguinal adipose tissue and induced glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1) secretion in the ileum of wild type but not Tgr5^(-/-) obese mice.In addition,Ftl elevated serum free and taurineconjugated bile acids(BAs) by antagonizing Fxr transcriptional activities in the ileum to activate Tgr5 in the adipose tissues. The metabolic benefits of Ftl were abolished in Cyp27 al^(-/-) mice which have much lower BA levels. These results identify Ftl as a single compound with opposite activities on two key BA receptors to alleviate high fat diet-induced obesity and insulin resistance in mice.Lili Ding Qiaoling Yang Eryun Zhang Yangmeng Wang Siming Sun Yingbo Yang Tong Tian Zhengcai Ju Linshan Jiang Xunjiang Wang Zhengtao Wang Wendong Huang Li Yang 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,6:10
Throughput analysis of slotted ALOHA with cooperative transmission using successive interference cancellation显示文摘With a cross-layer design approach, a novel random access protocol is proposed in this paper, which is based on conventional slotted ALOHA (S-ALOHA) using successive interference cancellation (SIC) technique to separate collided packets and cooperative transmission to exploit the physical layer advantages. And a general theoretic analysis model is presented to obtain its throughput, which is also suitable for analyzing the performance of other protocols (such as S-ALOHA and S-ALOHA with cooperative transmission (C-ALOHA)) and is shown to be right and effective. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed protocol can improve the maximal throughput by 190% and 132% over a Rayleigh fading channel, respectively, as compared with S-ALOHA and C-ALOHA. And the results show that our protocol can provide an effective random access method with high throughput for wireless transmission.HU YingBo YANG WeiWei CAI YueMing 2009Science in China(Series F)2009,52,12:6
A nomogram to predict prognosis for gastric cancer with peritoneal dissemination显示文摘Objective: To identify independent prognostic factors to be included in a nomogram to predict the prognosis of gastric cancer patients with peritoneal dissemination. Methods: This is a retrospective study on 684 patients with a histological diagnosis of gastric cancer with peritoneal dissemination from the Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center as the development set, and 62 gastric cancer patients from the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University as the validation group. Chi-square test and Cox regression analysis were used to compare the clinicopathological variables and the prognosis of gastric cancer patients with peritoneal dissemination. The Harrell's concordance index(C-index) and calibration curve were determined for comparisons of predictive ability of the nomogram. Results: Univariate and multivariate analyses showed that serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) level(P=0.032), ascites grading(P=0.008), presence of extraperitoneal metastasis(P<0.001), seeding status(P=0.016) and performance status(P=0.009) were independent prognostic factors for gastric cancer patients with peritoneal dissemination in the development set. The nomogram model was constructed using these five factors. Internal validation showed that the C-index of the model was 0.641. For the external validation, the C-index of this model was 0.709.Conclusions: We developed and validated a nomogram to predict the prognosis for gastric cancer patients with peritoneal dissemination. This nomogram may play an important clinical role in guiding palliative therapy for these types of patients, although it may need more data for optimization.Shi Chen Xijie Chen Runcong Nie Liying Ou Yang Aihong Liu Yuanfang Li Zhiwei Zhou Yingbo Chen Junsheng Peng 2018Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2018,30,4:5

Convergence of community composition during secondary succession on Zokor rodent mounds on the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Aims The community succession theory is much debated in ecology. We studied succession on Zokor rodent mounds on the Tibetan Plateau to address several fundamental questions, among them:(i)During secondary succession, does the community composition converge towards one community state or multiple states depending on the initial colonization?(ii)Do mound communities located in different background communities exhibit different assembly trajectories? Methods In a sub-alpine meadow,we investigated a total of 80 mound com-munities at several successional stages in three different background communities resulting from different management histories and compared their changes in species composition. The distribution of plant communities over time was analyzed with quantitative clas-sification and ordination methods. The co-occurrence patterns of species were evaluated at each successional stage, and the degree of convergence/divergence among communities was obtained by calculating two beta-diversity indices.Important Findings During secondary succession, species richness of mound com-munities changed over time, and this change was dependent on the background community.Five life-form groups exhibited different dynamic patterns in species richness and plant cover.Community composition and the degree of species co-occur-rence between communities increased over time since disturb-ance.There was much variation in species composition at earlier stages of succession, but communities on older mounds became more similar to each other and to their surrounding vegetation over the course of secondary succession.Post-disturbance suc-cession of Zokor mound communities transitioned from‘multiple alternative states’to‘background-based deterministic commu-nity assembly’over time.Tradeoffs between competition and colonization,as well as the characteristics of different life-forms and mass effects within a limited species pool are the mecha-nisms responsible for convergence of mound communities.Yingbo Yang Jacob Weiner Gang Wang Zhengwei Ren 2018Journal of Plant Ecology2018,11,3:1
Earth energy evolution, human development and carbon neutral strategy显示文摘Energy is the basis of human development and the impetus of society progress. There are three sources of energy: energy of celestial body outside the Earth, the Earth energy and energy of interaction between the Earth and other celestial bodies. Meanwhile, there are three scales of co-evolution: the evolution of the Sun-Earth-Moon system on an ultra-long time scale has provided energy sources and extra-terrestrial environmental conditions for the formation of the Earth system;the evolution of the Earth system on a long time scale has provided the material preconditions such as energy resources and suitable sphere environment for life birth and the human development;on a short time scale, the development of human civilization makes the human circle break through the Earth system, expanding the extraterrestrial civilization. With the co-evolution, there are three processes in the carbon cycle: inorganic carbon cycle, short-term organic carbon cycle and long-term organic carbon cycle, which records human immoderate utilization of fossil energy and global sphere reforming activities, breaking the natural balance and closed-loop path of the carbon cycle of the Earth, causing the increase of greenhouse gases and global climate change, affecting human happiness and development. The energy transition is inevitable, and carbon neutrality must be realized. Building the green energy community is a fundamental measure to create the new energy system under carbon neutrality target. China is speeding up its energy revolution and developing a powerful energy nation. It is necessary to secure the cornerstone of the supply of fossil energy and forge a strong growing pole for green and sustainable development of new energy. China energy production and consumption structure will make a revolutionary transformation from the type of fossil energy domination to the type of new energy domination, depending on a high-level self-reliance of science and technology and a high-quality green energy system of cleaning, low-carbon, safety, efficiency and independence. Energy development has three major trends: low-carbon fossil energy, large-scale new energy and intelligent energy system, relying on the green innovation, contributing the green energy and constructing the green homeland.ZOU Caineng MA Feng PAN Songqi LIN Minjie ZHANG Guosheng XIONG Bo WANG Ying LIANG Yingbo YANG Zhi 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,2:1

Requirements model driven adaption and evolution of Internetware显示文摘Today’s software systems need to support complex business operations and processes. The development of the web-based software systems has been pushing up the limits of traditional software engineering methodologies and technologies as they are required to be used and updated almost real-time,so that users can interact and share the same applications over the internet as needed. These applications have to adapt quickly to the diversified and dynamic changing requirements in the physical, technological, economical and social environments. As a consequence,we are expecting a major paradigm shift in software engineering to reflect such changes in computing environment in order to better address the fundamental needs of organisations in this new era.Existing software technologies, such as model driven development, business process engineering,online(re-)configuration,composition and adaptation of managerial functionalities are being repurposed to reduce the time taken for software development by reusing software codes. The ability to dynamically combine contents from numerous web sites and local resources, and the ability to instantly publish services worldwide have opened up entirely new possibilities for software development. In retrospect to the ten years applied research on Internetware,we have witnessed such a paradigm shift, which brings about many changes to the developmental experience of conventional web applications.Several related technologies, such as cloud computing, service computing,cyber-physical systems and social computing, have converged to address this emerging issue with emphasis on different aspects. In this paper,we first outline the requirements that the Internetware software paradigm should meet to excel at web application adaptation;we then propose a requirement model driven method for adaptive and evolutionary applications;and we report our experiences and case studies of applying it to an enterprise information system. Our goal is to provide high-level guidelines to researchers and practitioners to meet the challenges of building adaptive industrial-strength applications with the spectrum of processes, techniques and facilities provided within the Internetware paradigm.LIU Lin YANG Chen WANG JianMin YE XiaoJun LIU YingBo YANG HongJi LIU XiaoDong 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,6:1
No tillage outperforms conventional tillage under arid conditions and following fertilization显示文摘Reduced tillage practices present a tool that could sustainably intensify agriculture. The existing literature, however, lacks a consensus on how and when reduced tillage practices should get implemented. We reanalyzed here an extensive dataset comparing how regular tillage practices(i.e.,conventional tillage)impacted yield of eight crops compared to stopping tillage altogether(i.e.,no-tillage practice). We observed that aridity and fertilization favored no tillage over conventional tillage whereas conventional tillage performed better under high fertility settings. We further show that the responses are consistent across the crops. Our reanalysis complements the original and fills a gap in the literature questioning the conditions under which reducing tillage presents a viable alternative to common tillage practices.Stavros D.Veresoglou Junjiang Chen Xuheng Du Qi Fu QingLiu Geng Chenyan Huang Xilin Huang Nan Hu Yiming Hun Guolin C.Li Zhiman Lin Zhiyu Ma Yuyi Ou Shuo Qi Haitian Qin Yingbo Qiu Xibin Sun Ye Tao YiLing Tian Jie Wang Lingxiao Wu Ziwei Wu Siqi Xie Ao Yang Dan Yang Chen Zeng Ying Zeng RuJie Zhang 2023Soil Ecology Letters2023,5,1:1
Partial energies monotonicity and holomorphicity of Hermitian pluriharmonic maps显示文摘In this paper,we introduce the notion of Hermitian pluriharmonic maps from Hermitian manifold into K¨ahler manifold.Assuming the domain manifolds possess some special exhaustion functions and the vecotor field V=JMδJM satisfies some decay conditions,we use stress-energy tensors to establish some monotonicity formulas of partial energies of Hermitian pluriharmonic maps. These monotonicity inequalities enable us to derive some holomorphicity for these Hermitian pluriharmonic maps.YANG GuiLin HAN YingBo DONG YuXin 2013Science China Mathematics2013,56,5:1
Risk-stratification model to select conversion surgery for advanced gastric cancer patients显示文摘Objective: Conversion surgery is a surgery with a purpose of R0 resection in primary advanced gastric cancer(GC) that responded well to systemic chemotherapy. This study aimed to explore the efficacy of conversion surgery for advanced GC.Methods: A total of 618 advanced GC patients receiving systemic chemotherapy were stratified into low-,moderate-and high-risk groups based on a nomogram-predicted probability of overall survival. The survival of conversion surgery and chemotherapy alone groups was compared using the log-rank test and Cox regression analysis after propensity score matching(PSM).Results: A nomogram with good discrimination(concordance index: 0.65) and accurate calibration was constructed. After PSM, the median survival time(MST) of conversion surgery was 26.80 months, compared with16.60 months of chemotherapy alone(P<0.001). Conversion surgery was associated with a longer MST for patients in the low-risk group(30.40 months vs. 20.90 months, P=0.013), whereas it was not associated with prolonged survival in the moderate-and high-risk groups(P=0.221 and P=0.131, respectively). Conclusions: Conversion surgery was associated with longer survival, especially for low-risk population.Runcong Nie Shuqiang Yuan Yuanfang Li Shi Chen Shuman Li Lirong Yang Lifang Yang Yingbo Chen Zhiwei Zhou 2019Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,1:1
Melatonin improves synapse development by PI3K/Akt signaling in a mouse model of autism spectrum disorder显示文摘Autism spectrum disorders are a group of neurodevelopmental disorders involving more than 1100 genes, including Ctnnd2 as a candidate gene.Ctnnd2knockout mice, serving as an animal model of autis m,have been demonstrated to exhibit decreased density of dendritic spines. The role of melatonin,as a neuro hormone capable of effectively alleviating social interaction deficits and regulating the development of dendritic spines,in Ctnnd2 deletion-induced nerve injury remains unclea r.In the present study,we discove red that the deletion of exon 2 of the Ctnnd2 gene was linked to social interaction deficits, spine loss, impaired inhibitory neurons, and suppressed phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase(PI3K)/protein kinase B(Akt) signal pathway in the prefrontal cortex. Our findings demonstrated that the long-term oral administration of melatonin for 28 days effectively alleviated the aforementioned abnormalities in Ctnnd2 gene-knockout mice.Furthermore, the administration of melatonin in the prefro ntal cortex was found to improve synaptic function and activate the PI3K/Akt signal pathway in this region. The pharmacological blockade of the PI3K/Akt signal pathway with a PI3K/Akt inhibitor,wo rtmannin, and melatonin receptor antagonists, luzindole and 4-phenyl-2-propionamidotetralin,prevented the melatonin-induced enhancement of GABAergic synaptic function. These findings suggest that melatonin treatment can ameliorate GABAe rgic synaptic function by activating the PI3K/Akt signal pathway, which may contribute to the improvement of dendritic spine abnormalities in autism spectrum disorders.Luyi Wang Man Xu Yan Wang Feifei Wang Jing Deng Xiaoya Wang Yu Zhao Ailing Liao Feng Yang Shali Wang Yingbo Li 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,7:0
Global energy transition revolution and the connotation and pathway of the green and intelligent energy system显示文摘The essence of energy system transition is the'energy revolution':The development of the'resource-dominated'energy system with fossil energy as the mainstay has promoted human progress, but it has also triggered energy crisis and ecological environment crisis, which is not compatible with the new demands of the new round of scientific and technological revolution, industrial transformation, and sustainable human development. It is in urgent need to research and develop a new-type energy system in the context of carbon neutrality. In the framework of'technique-dominated'new green and intelligent energy system with'three new'of new energy, new power and new energy storage as the mainstay, the'super energy basin'concepts with the Ordos Basin,Nw China as a representative will reshape the concept and model of future energy exploration and development. In view of the'six inequalities'in global energy and the resource conditions of'abundant coal, insufficient oil and gas and infinite new energy'in China,it is suggested to deeply boost'China energy revolution',sticking to the six principles of independent energy production, green energy supply, secure energy reserve, efficient energy consumption, intelligent energy management, economical energy cost;enhance'energy scientific and technological innovation'by implementing technique-dominated'four major science and technology innovation projects',namely, clean coal project, oil production stabilization and gas production increasing project, new energy acceleration project, and green-intelligent energy project;implement'energy transition'by accelerating the green-dominated'four-modernization development',namely, fossil energy cleaning,large-scale new energy, coordinated centralized energy distribution, intelligent multi-energy management,so as to promote the exchange of two 80%s'in China's energy structure and construct the new green and intelligent energy system.ZOU Caineng MA Feng PAN Songqi ZHAO Qun FU Guoyou ZHANG Guosheng YANG Yichao YU Hao LIANG Yingbo LIN Minjie WANG Ying XIONG Bo LIU Hanlin 2023Petroleum Exploration and Development2023,50,3:0
Leader-Following Entrapping Control of AUVs Using Bearing Measurements in Local Coordinate Frames显示文摘In this paper, the entrapping control problem of discrete-time AUVs with local coordinate frames is studied. To achieve entrapment in arbitrarily shaped orbits and formations,we design a bearingbased leader-following framework fully in the discrete-time domain with four parts:the orientation estimation unit, estimator unit, controller unit and parameters tuning unit. With bearing measurements and communication information, the orientation estimation unit can estimate orientations of local coordinate frames infinite time, and the estimator unit can achieve local localization.Based on estimation, the controller unit can drive each AUV to track the desired orbit or formation with an arbitrary shape. We present su±cient conditions under which stability of the overall system is proved using the theorem offinite-time stability and LaSalle's theorem for the discrete-time system. Moreover, the parameters tuning unit can calculate optimal parameters to improve overall performance.Additionally,we extend our schemes to nonholonomic AUVs with unicycle models. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.Yingbo Fu Ziwen Yang Shanying Zhu Cailian Chen 2022Guidance, Navigation and Control2022,2,4:0
Isatis indigotica:from(ethno)botany, biochemistry to synthetic biology显示文摘Isatis indigotica Fort.(Chinese woad)is a species with an ancient and well-documented history as an indigo dye and medicinal plant. It is often confused with Isatis tinctoria L.(European woad),a medicinal plant in Europe. Here, the differences between I.indigotica and I.tinctoria are systematically described. The usage development history, clinical applications and pharmacological activities, and chemical components of I.indigotica are also summarized.Lignans, indole alkaloids, and their corresponding derivatives have been identified as the major active ingredients of I.indigotica and are associated with anti-viral,anti-inflammatory,anti-cancer,and other health-promoting activities.Notable progress has been made in understanding the biosynthetic pathway and regulation mechanism of lignans and indole alkaloids in I.indigotica, the results from which should facilitate the process of targeted metabolic engineering or synthetic biology. Moreover, multiple biotechnology methods such as polyploid breeding and genetic engineering have been used with I.indigotica to result in,for example, greater yields, higher levels of bioactive component accumulation, and enhanced stress tolerance to salt, drought, and insects. Some issues require additional analyses, and suggestions for future research on I.indigotica are also discussed.Jingxian Feng Doudou Huang Yingbo Yang Junfeng Chen Shi Qiu Zongyou Lv Xueqi Ma Yuanyu Li Rongrong Li Ying Xiao Wansheng Chen 2021Molecular Horticulture2021,1,1:0
A novel porous channel to optimize the cooling performance of PV modules显示文摘This paper dealt with a series of numerical investigations on a new porous cooling channel applied to PV/T systems in order to improve the insufficient heat transfer in the conventional channel. The proposed porous cooling channel based on field synergy theory had a higher overall heat transfer coefficient, which enhanced the total efficiency of the PV/T system. The numerical model was validated with experimental data. The results showed that holes distributed non-uniformly near the outlet of the cooling water led to a better cooling effect, and a hole diameter of 0.005 m led to an optimal performance. The total efficiency of the PV module with the new cooling channel was 4.17%higher than the conventional one at a solar irradiance of 1000 W/m^(2)and an inlet mass flow rate of 0.006 kg/s.In addition,as the solar irradiance increased from 300 to 1200 W/m^(2),the total efficiency of the new PV/T system dropped by 5.07%,which included reductions in both the electrical and thermal efficiency. The total efficiency was improved by 18.04%as the inlet mass flow rate of cooling water increased from 0.002 to 0.02 kg/s.Yingbo Zhang Chao Shen Chunxiao Zhang Jihong Pu Qianru Yang Cheng Sun 2022Energy and Built Environment2022,3,2:0
Transmission of Carbapenem Resistance Between Human and Animal NDM-Positive Escherichia coli Strains显示文摘Although carbapenem use is prohibited in animals in China,carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli(CREC),especially New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase(NDM)-producing strains, are widely prevalent in foodproducing animals. At present, the impact of livestock-associated CREC strains on human populations at the national level is unknown. Here,we conduct a retrospective cross-sectional study to investigate the prevalence of CREC from clinical settings across 22 Chinese provinces or municipalities and analyze anthropogenic factors associated with their presence. We also ascertain the blaNDMand blaKPCabundance among pig and chicken farms and present a detailed genomic framework for CREC of animal and human origin.Overall,631/29799(2.1%)clinical Escherichia coli(E.coli)isolates were identified as CREC.Multivariable analysis revealed that being male,an age below 1,an age between 13 and 18,provinces with greater chicken production, and provinces with higher pig production were associated with higher odds of CREC infection. In general,73.8%(n=45/61)of pig farms and 62.2%(n=28/45)of chicken farms had a blaNDMabundance of 1×10^(-5)to 1×10^(-3)and 1×10^(-3)to 1×10^(-2),respectively.Among all the Chinese NDM-positive E.coli(n=463)available at the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI),the genomic analysis revealed that blaNDM-5and Inc X3 were the predominant carbapenemase gene-plasmid combination, while a highly homogeneous relationship between NDM-positive isolates from humans and animals was demonstrated at the plasmid and core genome levels. All the findings suggest frequent CREC transmission between humans and animals, indicating that further discussions on the use of antibiotics in animals and humans are needed, both in China and across the globe.Yingbo Shen Fupin Hu Yongqiang Wang Dandan Yin Lu Yang Yiqiang Chen Chunyan Xu Jiyun Li Junyao Jiang Xueyang Wang Yulin Fu Dongyan Shao Dejun Liu Tengfei Ma Chang Cai Zhangqi Shen Shaolin Wang Juan Li Rong Zhang Yuebin Ke Congming Wu Jianzhong Shen Timothy R.Walsh Yang Wang 2022Engineering2022,8,8:0
