| 1 | The first all-season sample set for mapping global land cover with Landsat-8 data显示文摘We report the world's first all-season training and validation sample sets for global land cover classification with Landsat-8 data.Prior to this, such samples were only available at a single date primarily from the growing season. It is unknown how much limitation such a single-date sample has to mapping global land cover in other seasons of the year.To answer this question,we selected available Landsat-8 images from four seasons and collected training and validation samples from them.We compared the performances of training samples in different seasons using Random Forest algorithm. We found that the use of training samples from any individual season would result in the best overall classification accuracy when validated by samples in the same season. The global overall accuracy from combined best seasonal results was 67.2% when classifying the 11 Level-1 classes in the Finer Resolution Observation and Monitoring of Global Land Cover(FROM-GLC) classification system. The use of training samples from all seasons(named all-season training sample set hereafter) produced an overall accuracy of 67.0%.We also tested classification within 10° latitude 60° longitude zones using all-season training subsample within each zone and obtained an overall accuracy of 70.2%.This indicates that properly grouped subsamples in space can help improve classification accuracies. All the results in this study seem to suggest that it is possible to use an all-season training sample set to reach global optimality with universal applicability in classifying images acquired at any time of a year for global land cover mapping. | Congcong Li Peng Gong Jie Wang Zhiliang Zhu Gregory S. | 2 | Effects of shape and particle size on the photocatalytic kinetics and mechanism of nano-CeO_(2)显示文摘Nanomaterials have been widely applied to many fields because of their excellent photocatalytic performance. The performance is closely related to the catalytic kinetics, but it is not completely clear about the influencing regularities of shape and particle size on the photocatalytic kinetics of nanomaterials and the photocatalytic kinetic mechanism. In this paper,nano-CeO_(2)with different shapes and particle sizes were prepared, the kinetic parameters of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation were determined, and the effects of shape and particle size on the kinetics of adsorption and photocatalysis and photocatalytic mechanism were discussed. The results show that the shape and particle size have significant influences. With the decreases of diameter, the performances of adsorption and photocatalysis of nano-CeO_(2)are improved;and these performances of spherical nano-CeO_(2)are greater than those of linear nano-CeO_(2).The shape and particle size have no effects on the kinetic order and mechanism of the whole photocatalytic process. Then a generalized mechanism of photocatalytic kinetics of nanomaterials was proposed and the mechanism rate equation was derived. Finally, the conclusion can be drawn:the desorption of photodegradation products is the control step of photocatalytic kinetics, and the kinetic order of photocatalytic degradation reaction is 1.The mechanism is universal and all nanomaterials have the same photocatalytic kinetic mechanism and order. | Zixiang Cui Lu Zhang Yongqiang Xue Ya’nan Feng Mengying Wang Jiaojiao Chen Boteng Ji Chenyu Wang Yidi Xue | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,12: | 1 |
| 3 | A Prototype for Diagnosis of Psoriasis in Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘Psoriasis is a chronic,non-communicable,painful,disfiguring and disabling disease for which there is no cure, with great negative impact on patients’quality of life(QoL).Diagnosis and treatment with traditional Chinese medical technique based on syndrome differentiation has been used in practice for a long time and proven effective, though,up to now, there are only a few available studies about the use of semantic technologies and the knowledge systems that use Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)-syndrome differentiation for information retrieval and automated reasoning. In this paper we use semantic techniques based on ontologies to develop a prototypical system for the diagnosis of Psoriasis. For this purpose,a domain ontology is developed for syndrome differentiation of psoriasis vulgaris(PV).This ontology is founded on an adapted version of the general formal ontology(GFO),with the evidence-based clinical practice guideline of TCM for psoriasis vulgaris(Guideline 2013)as the primary data sources. The implemented prototype, called ONTOPV,contains this domain ontology and is aimed at a decision support system for diagnosis and treatment of PV.This system uses a case-database for Case Based Reasoning(CBR),combined with fuzzy pattern recognition.Experimental results show that the ONTOPV realizes the basic functionalities of data collection, querying, browsing and navigation, and supports rule-based knowledge reasoning, and integrates fuzzy pattern recognition. It can provide users with clinical decision support for TCM syndrome differentiation in diagnosis of psoriasis. | Hai Long Zhe Wang Yidi Cui Junhui Wang Bo Gao Chao Chen Yan Zhu Heinrich Herre | 2022 | Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,12: | 1 |
| 4 | Exploring the psychological impact of the 2022 SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant outbreak in China显示文摘To the editor:The impact of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic in 2020 on mental health was substantialin Chinai2and various other countries.34 Beyond the direct consequences of COVID-19,the pandemic created an environment in which many determinants of mental health were affected.Issues associated with the pandemic, such as loss of livelihood, limited access to medical services, reduced social interactions, and economic downturn, could potentially have adverse effects on the population's mental well-being.5 In November 2021,the World Health Organization(WHO)designated the new variant of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),variant B.1.1.529,as a variant of concern and named it Omicron;its rapid mutation and spread raised a new global health concern. | Gangbin Han Guirong Cheng Feifei Hu Chunli Li Dan Liu Juan Zhou Jing Liu Linya Huang Xiaochang Liu Qianqian Nie Dan Song Deyang Zeng Lang Xu Jinquan Li Yushan Chen Zhen Wei Qiong Wu Xiaoming He Qingming Wu Wei Tan Yufei Mei Xingxing Chen Yangming Ou Jingjing ZhangYafu Yu Mengliu Yang Pengfei Lian Fukai Zhou Renjia Fan Hong Wan Chenlu Hu Yidi Fu Shiyue Li Junyi Wang Cheng Cai Mengdie Pei Yuyang Cui Wanying Cai Yiqing Li Shiyao Pan Chang Chen Yan He Zhaoxia Wu Liu Hu Liang Tao Hongyan Xiao Xinyan Xie Yan Zeng | 2023 | General Psychiatry2023,36,6: | 0 |
