| 1 | Preparation and visible-light photocatalytic property of nanostructured Fe-doped TiO_2 from titanium containing electric furnace molten slag显示文摘Nanostructured Fe-doped titanium dioxide was synthesized from titanium containing electric furnace molten slag(TCEFMS)by using an alkali fusion,followed by a hydrolyzation-acidolysis-calcination route.The efects of alkali/slag mass ratio,calcinating temperature,calcinating time,and water/slag mass ratio on the extraction efciency and purity of products were systematically studied in this paper.It is indicated that the best extraction efciency of nanostructured Fedoped titanium dioxide is 99.35%,when the molten slag is calcinated at 700 C for 1 h with the mass ratio of alkali/molten slag of 1.5:1.The influence of alkali/slag mass ratio on the photocatalytic activity of final products was evaluated by the photodegradation of methyl blue under visible light irradiation.A maximum photodegradation efciency of 88.12%over30 min was achieved under the optimum conditions. | Yang Li Yi Yue Zai-qing Que Mei Zhang Min Guo | 2013 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2013,20,10: | 10 |
| 2 | LAG-3 expression on tumor-infiltrating T cells in soft tissue sarcoma correlates with poor survival显示文摘Objective: To elucidate the role and prognostic significance of lymphocyte activation-gene-3(LAG-3) in soft tissue sarcoma(STS).Methods: The expression of LAG-3 in patient and matched normal blood samples was analyzed by flow cytometry. The localization and prognostic values of LAG-3^+ cells in 163 STS patients were analyzed by immunohistochemistry. In addition, the expression of tumor-infiltrating CD3^+ T, CD4^+ T, and CD8^+ T cells and their role in the prognosis of STS were evaluated by immunohistochemistry. The effect of LAG-3 blockade was evaluated in an immunocompetent MCA205 fibrosarcoma mouse model.Results: Peripheral CD8^+ and CD4^+ T cells from STS patients expressed higher levels of LAG-3 than those from healthy donors.LAG-3 expression in STS was significantly associated with a poor clinical outcome(P = 0.038) and was correlated with high pathological grade(P < 0.001), advanced tumor stage(P = 0.016). Additionally, LAG-3 expression was highly correlated with CD8^+ T-cell infiltration(r = 0.7034, P < 0.001). | 3 | Feiji Recipe inhibits the growth of lung cancer by modulating T-cell immunity through indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase pathway in an orthotopic implantation model显示文摘Objective: Escape from the body's immune response is a basic characteristic of lung cancer, and indoleamine-2,3-dioxygenase(IDO) plays a key role in mediating immune escape of non-small-cell lung cancer, which leads to recurrence and metastasis. Feiji Recipe, a compound Chinese herbal medicine, has the effect of stabilizing lesions and prolonging survival in patients with lung cancer. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanisms underlying the anticancer properties of Feiji Recipe.Methods: An orthotopic transplant model of mouse Lewis lung cancer, with stable expression of IDO gene, was established in C57 BL/6 mice. Optical imaging was used to observe the effects of Feiji Recipe in the treatment of lung cancer in vivo. The effects of Feiji Recipe on the proliferation of mouse Lewis lung cancer cell line 2 LL, 2 LL-enhanced green fluorescent protein(2 LL-EGFP) and 2 LL-EGFP-IDO were investigated, and the apoptosis of T-cells was examined by 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2 H-tetra zolium bromide using flow cytometry. Chemical composition of Feiji Recipe was validated by highperformance liquid chromatography.Results: Compared to the control group, the survival of animals treated with Feiji Recipe was significantly prolonged(P = 0.0074), and the IDO protein level decreased(P = 0.0072); moreover, the percentages of CD4+CD25+T-cells and Foxp3+T-cells were significantly decreased(P < 0.05). | 4 | Using Materialise’s interactive medical image control system to reconstruct a model of a patient with rectal cancer and situs inversus totalis: A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Situs inversus totalis(SIT)is a rare congenital anomaly that refers to a completely reversed location of abdominal and thoracic organs.An extremely small number of patients with this condition,especially those with rectal neoplasms,have been reported.Surgery in these patients is technically challenging.Therefore,we reconstructed a three-dimensional(3D)digital model with the Materialise’s interactive medical image control system(Mimics)as a guide for laparoscopic resection.CASE SUMMARY We report the case of a 68-year-old woman with rectal neoplasms and SIT diagnosed by electronic colonoscopy biopsy and enhanced computed tomography(CT),which showed that there was a soft tissue mass protruding into the lumen in the lower rectal segment,a lesion that involved the serosal layer,multiple enlarged peripheral lymph nodes,and visceral situs abnormalities.Based on the CT images,we reconstructed a 3D model with Mimics to assist with our surgical planning.Then,we performed laparoscopyassisted radical resection of the rectal neoplasms and total excision of the lesion.Adjuvant chemotherapy with the XELOX regimen(oxaliplatin 150 mg,D1+Xeloda 1.0 g,Bid,D1-14)was initiated 1 mo after the operation.The patient recovered well after surgery,and her physical condition remained stable.CONCLUSION Preoperative 3D reconstruction of the imaging results could help reduce the unknown risks during surgery caused by anatomical abnormalities and improvethe perioperative safety for patients. | Tao Chen Yu-Tao Que Yi-Hao Zhang Fei-Yu Long Yi Li Xin Huang Ya-Nan Wang Yan-Feng Hu Jiang Yu Guo-Xin Li | 2020 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,4: | 5 |
| 5 | Extraction and separation of nickel and cobalt from saprolite laterite ore by microwave-assisted hydrothermal leaching and chemical deposition显示文摘Extraction and separation of nickel and cobalt from saprolite laterite ore were studied by using a method of microwave-assisted hydrothermal leaching and chemical deposition. The effects of leaching temperature and time on the extraction efficiencies of Ni2+ and Co2+ were investigated in detail under microwave conditions. It is shown that the extraction efficiencies of Ni2+ and Co2+ from the ore pre-roasted at 300 C for 5 h were 89.19% and 61.89% when the leaching temperature and time were about 70 C and 60 min, respectively. For the separation process of Ni and Co, the separation of main chemical components was performed by adjusting the pH values of sulfuric leaching solutions using a NaOH solution based on the different pH values of precipitation for metal hydroxides. The final separation efficiencies of Ni and Co were 77.29% and 65.87%, respectively. | 6 | Herbal formula of Bushen Jianpi(补肾健脾方)combined with sorafenib inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma growth by promoting cell apoptosis and blocking the cell cycle显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of an herbal formula of Bushen Jianpi(补肾健脾方,BSJP)combined with sorafenib on hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)in vitro and in vivo,and to study the underlying mechanisms of action.METHODS:BSJP,a mixture of 12 raw herbs,was extracted in 70%alcohol/30%water and freeze-dried into a powder.The in vitro effects of BSJP alone,sorafenib alone,and their combination on cell survival,apoptosis,and cell cycle distribution were evaluated in HCC cell lines HCCLM3,HepG2,and SMMC-7721.The expression of B-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2),caspase-3,and caspase-9 in HCCLM3 cells was measured using Western blots after drug administration.The in vivo effects of BSJP and sorafenib were evaluated in a tumor surgical resection model using 4-week old male athymic BALB/c nude mice injected with HCCLM3 cells.Immunohistochemical analysis of tumor tissues was performed to evaluate the effects of BSJP alone,sorafenib alone,and their combination on the expression of caspase-3,caspase-9,and Bcl-2.RESULTS:BSJP decreased the survival rate of HCC cell lines,and the combination of BSJP and sorafenib further decreased the survival rate.BSJP significantly promoted cell apoptosis and blocked cell-cycle progression in HCCLM3,HepG2,and SMMC-7721 cells in a dose-dependent manner.Furthermore,the administration of BSJP and sorafenib inhibited the growth of HCCLM3 cell xenografts in nude mice,with no reduction in body weight.In vivo and in vitro experiments showed that BSJP combined with sorafenib could significantly decrease the expression of Bcl-2.CONCLUSION:Our findings suggest that the herbal formula of BSJP is a potential HCC antitumor agent. | ZHOU Zhangjie LIU Xinhua WU Tingting QUE Zujue WU Zhonghua WU Weizhong FU Shujuan ZHANG Shiqiang YANG Yun JIANG Haiyan XIA Xiaoting LV Junqiang DU Boqian LI Yun LU Tao ZHANG Zhihui ZHONG Yi | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,2: | 3 |

| 11 | A novel two-dimensional accordion-like titanium carbide (MXene) for adsorption of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution显示文摘Herein,we report on a novel two-dimensional(2D)material application,which shows that an accordion-like layered Ti_(3)C_(2) nanomaterial(MXene)with an excellent adsorption capacity of Cr(VI)from aqueous solution was prepared by etching Al layer from Ti3AlC2 phase in hydrofluoric acid(HF)solution.Ti_(3)C_(2) nanopowders were well characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and the physical property of as-obtained samples was studied by UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS).After HF treatment,Ti3AlC2 not only has a phase transition from one crystal to another,but surprisingly,its microstructure is also undergoing an obvious change.Ti_(3)C_(2) with product of change possesses an accordion-like multilayer structure,and a relatively higher specific surface area(SSA)than untreated Ti3AlC2.Then,accordionlike Ti_(3)C_(2) with a high SSA provides abundant active sites for pollutant removal and functionalization.Accordion-like Ti_(3)C_(2) nanomaterial exhibits a stable adsorption capacity,and 1 g as-prepared accordion-like Ti_(3)C_(2) powders can remove about 80 mg potassium dichromate.Therefore,the results suggest that 2D MXenes are promising as an effective nanoadsorbent in heavy metal removal from the wastewater. | Yi Tang Chenhui Yang Wenxiu Que | 2018 | Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2018,8,5: | 0 |
