2Precise nanomedicine for intelligent therapy of cancer显示文摘Precise nanomedicine has been extensively explored for efficient cancer imaging and targeted cancer therapy, as evidenced by a few breakthroughs in their preclinical and clinical explorations. Here, we demonstrate the recent advances of intelligent cancer nanomedicine, and discuss the comprehensive understanding of their structure-function relationship for smart and efficient cancer nanomedicine including various imaging and therapeutic applications, as well as nanotoxicity. In particular, a few emerging strategies that have advanced cancer nanomedicine are also highlighted as the emerging focus such as tumor imprisonment, supramolecular chemotherapy, and DNA nanorobot. The challenge and outlook of some scientific and engineering issues are also discussed in future development. 3Propofol Attenuates a-Synuclein Aggregation and Neuronal Damage in a Mouse Model of Ischemic Stroke显示文摘a-Synuclein is a soluble monomer abundant in the central nervous system. Aggregates of a-synuclein,consisting of higher-level oligomers and insoluble fibrils,have been observed in many chronic neurological diseases and are implicated in neurotoxicity and neurodegeneration.a-Synuclein has recently been shown to aggregate following acute ischemic stroke, exacerbating neuronal damage.Propofol is an intravenous anesthetic that is commonly used during intravascular embolectomy following acute ischemic stroke. While propofol has demonstrated neuroprotective properties following brain injury, the mechanism of protection in the setting of ischemic stroke is unclear. In this study, propofol administration significantly reduced the neurotoxic aggregation of a-synuclein, decreased the infarct area, and attenuated the neurological deficits after ischemic stroke in a mouse model. 4Genetic and biological characteristics of the globally circulating H5N8 avian influenza viruses and the protective efficacy offered by the poultry vaccine currently used in China显示文摘The H5N8 avian influenza viruses have been widely circulating in wild birds and are responsible for the loss of over 33 million domestic poultry in Europe, Russia, Middle East, and Asia since January 2020. To monitor the invasion and spread of the H5N8 virus in China, we performed active surveillance by analyzing 317 wild bird samples and swab samples collected from 41,172 poultry all over the country. We isolated 22 H5N8 viruses from wild birds and 14 H5N8 viruses from waterfowls. Genetic analysis indicated that the 36 viruses formed two different genotypes: one genotype viruses were widely detected from different wild birds and domestic waterfowls;the other genotype was isolated from a whopper swan. We further revealed the origin and spatiotemporal spread of these two distinct H5N8 virus genotypes in 2020 and 2021. Animal studies indicated that the H5N8 isolates are highly pathogenic to chickens, mildly pathogenic in ducks, but have distinct pathotypes in mice. Moreover, we found that vaccinated poultry in China could be completely protected against H5N8 virus challenge. 5Synthesis, crystal structure, photodegradation kinetics and photocatalytic activity of novel photocatalyst ZnBiYO_4显示文摘ZnBiYO4 was synthesized by a solid-state reaction method for the first time. The structural and photocatalytic properties of ZnBiYO4 were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and UV–Vis diffuse reflectance.ZnBiYO4 crystallized with a tetragonal spinel structure with space group I41/A. The lattice parameters for ZnBiYO4 were a = b = 11.176479  and c = 10.014323 . The band gap of ZnBiYO4 was estimated to be 1.58 e V. The photocatalytic activity of ZnBiYO4 was assessed by photodegradation of methyl orange under visible light irradiation. The results showed that ZnBiYO4 had higher catalytic activity compared with N-doped Ti O2 under the same experimental conditions using visible light irradiation. The photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange with ZnBiYO4 or N-doped Ti O2 as catalyst followed first-order reaction kinetics, and the first-order rate constant was 0.01575 and 0.00416 min-1for ZnBiYO4 and N-doped Ti O2, respectively. After visible light irradiation for 220 min with ZnBiYO4 as catalyst, complete removal and mineralization of methyl orange were observed. The reduction of total organic carbon, formation of inorganic products, SO2-4and NO-3, and evolution of CO2 revealed the continuous mineralization of methyl orange during the photocatalytic process. The intermediate products were identified using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry. 6Improving the solidification structure of commercially pure aluminium with electropulse acting on liquid metal显示文摘The effect of electropulse on the solidification structure of commercially pure aluminium was studied. The orthogonal array L9 was used to determine the effect of three process parameters of electropulse modification (EPM), which were pulse current intensity, pulse frequency, and treating time. For each factor, three levels were chosen to cover the experimental region. According to the ex-perimental results, the solidification structure of commercially pure aluminium was modified from large grains with columnar crystals to finer grains with equiaxed crystals, by allowing the electropulse to act on liquid aluminium. However, the solidification structures could be refined differently at different EPM parameters. Certain EPM parameters should be selected to get the optimum solidification structure. Among the three parameters, pulse frequency was the most important factor influencing the solidification structure, the secondary factor was current intensity, and treating time was the third one. 8Elodexanthones A—J, Isoprenylated Xanthone Derivatives with Diverse Skeletons and Bioactivities from Hypericum elodeoides显示文摘Elodexanthones A—J (1—10), two pairs of rearranged isoprenylated xanthone enantiomers with an unprecedent 6/6/5/6 tetracyclic core (1—2) along with seven new isoprenylated xanthones (3—9) and a pair of phenylpropanoid xanthones (10), were purified and enantio-separated from the whole plant of Hypericum elodeoides. Their structures including absolute configurations were characterized by the comprehensive analysis of NMR, HRESIMS, NMR calculations, and ECD calculations. Through Bayer-Villiger oxidation, Claisen condensation and electrophilic addition, the rearranged skeletons of elodexanthones A—B (1—2) were generated from isoprenylated xanthone precursors. 10Study on Improving Solidification Structure of Rare Earth Al-Si Alloys with Electropulse Acting on Liquid Alloy显示文摘Electropulse modification (EPM) process, a new physical field method for improving the solidification structure of metals was introduced.Different from other research, EPM is only acting pulse current on melt under liquid state.The solidification structure of Al-Si alloys, A1-Cu alloys,cast iron and steel can be modified obviously with this method: the solidification structure of ZL101 alloy presented the Na and Sr modification and the mechanical properties were enhanced; a large number of primary silicon appeared in the microstructure of ZL109 alloy; the equiaxed grain zone was expanded and the grains were fined in Al-5.0wt% Cu alloy; the graphitization took place in solidification process of molten cast iron; the grain sizes of solidification structure of T8 steel were reduced significantly and the shape of steel pearlites also changed; the equiaxed grain zone increased to 88% from original untreated 19%, the equiaxed grains were fined and the intercrystalline crack was avoided in concasting billet by continuously treating liquid electrical sheet steel in tundish.Effects of rare earths on casting Al-Si alloys were also summarized.The method of modifying the solidification structure of rare earth Al-Si alloys with EPM in producing the alloys was proposed.Cui Heng Cang Daqiang Zong Yanbing Li Lingzhen He Peng Mo Zhiying 2004Journal of Rare Earths2004,22,z1:0
11Investigation on the radioactivity levels of seawater,sediments,and biota in Daya Bay,China显示文摘Objective:To investigate the radioactivity levels of seawater,sediments,and biota in the Daya Bay sea area,China,in order to establish the radioactivity baseline values,and provide basic data for the assessment of potential radiological risks that might result from the application of nuclear technology or human activities.Methods:Samples of seawater,sediments,and biota were collected from the Daya Bay sea area and analyzed.Their radioactivity baseline data were then compared with information from other regions in China and around the world reported in related literature.Results:For the seawater samples,the activity concentrations of natural radionuclide ^(40)K were 9.9-10.4 Bq/L,while ^(238)U,226Ra,^(210)Pb,^(137)Cs,and ^(110)Ag^(m) were below the minimum detectable activity(MDA).Regarding the sediment samples,the activity concentrations of ^(238)U,^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(210)Pb,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 38.1-40.4,49.1-53.7,32.6-38.6,59-95,590-650,and 0.48-0.88 Bq/(kg dry weight),respectively,while ^(110)Agm was below the MDA.For the marine shrimps in the biota samples,the activity concentrations of ^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 1.14-2.75,0.17-0.43,63-76,and 0.038-0.045 Bq/(kg wet weight),respectively,while ^(238)U,^(210)Pb,and ^(110)Agm were all below the MDA.Furthermore,for the marine fishes in the biota samples,the activity concentrations of ^(228)Ra,^(226)Ra,^(210)Pb,^(40)K,and ^(137)Cs were 2.1-19.7,0.32-3.78,<2.2-2.8,59-70,and<0.007-0.026 Bq/(kg wet weight),respectively,while ^(238)U and ^(110)Ag^(m) were all below the MDA.^(228)Ra was found to be concentrated in Osteomugil ophuyseni with 19.7 Bq/(kg wet weight).Conclusions:The radioactivity levels of seawater and marine sediments in the Daya Bay sea area are within the range of the normal background values.Osteomugil ophuyseni exhibited higher concentrations of ^(228)Ra than other species in this study,while the other species in the biota show no significant difference in the radioactivity levels from data in relevant literature.Fan Cui Honghui Huang Yi Shen Zhan Tan Pengxiang Qu Ming Dai Hongwei Yu Weixu Huang Zixiang Wu Huifeng Chen Weizhen Guo Yuxin Jia Yanbing Liu 2023Radiation Medicine and Protection2023,4,3:0
