| 3 | DDIT4 promotes gastric cancer proliferation and tumorigenesis through the p53 and MAPK pathways显示文摘Background:Gastric cancer(GC)is one of the most common malignancies worldwide,particularly in China.DNA damage-inducible transcript 4(DDIT4)is a mammalian target of rapamycin inhibitor and is induced by various cellular stresses;however,its critical role in GC remains poorly understood.The present study aimed to investigate the poten-tial relationship and the underlying mechanism between DDIT4 and GC development.Methods:We used western blotting,real-time polymerase chain reaction,and immunohistochemical or immunoflu-orescence to determine DDIT4 expression in GC cells and tissues.High-content screening,cell counting kit-8 assays,colony formation,and in vivo tumorigenesis assays were performed to evaluate cell proliferation.Flow cytometry was used to investigate cell apoptosis and cell cycle distribution.Results:DDIT4 was upregulated in GC cells and tissue.Furthermore,downregulating DDIT4 in GC cells inhibited proliferation both in vitro and in vivo and increased 5-fluorouracil-induced apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.In contrast,ectopic expression of DDIT4 in normal gastric epithelial cells promoted proliferation and attenuated chemosensitivity.Further analysis indicated that the mitogen-activated protein kinase and p53 signaling pathways were involved in the suppression of proliferation,and increased chemosensitivity upon DDIT4 downregulation.Conclusion:DDIT4 promotes GC proliferation and tumorigenesis,providing new insights into the role of DDIT4 in the tumorigenesis of human GC. | Feng Du Lina Sun Yi Chu Tingyu Li Chao Lei Xin Wang Mingzuo Jiang Yali Min Yuanyuan Lu Xiaodi Zhao Yongzhan Nie Daiming Fan | 2018 | Cancer Communications2018,38,1: | 10 |

| 5 | Template-free hydrothermal synthesis of single-crystalline SnO_2 nanocauliflowers and their optical properties显示文摘Large-scale single-crystalline SnO2 nanocauliflowers were successfully synthesized using a hydrothermal growth method without any template. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), en- ergy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and selected area electron diffraction (SAED). FE-SEM images show that the as-grown SnO2 nanocauliflowers are constructed of tetragonal prisms with a width of 500-600 nm. XRD, EDS, and SAED results indicate that the as-grown SnO2 nanocauliflowers are single crystalline with the tetragonal rutile crystalline structure. The growth mechanism of SnO2 nanocauliflowers is also preliminarily discussed on the basis of different Sn(OH) 62- concentrations, and it is found that Sn(OH) 62- concentration plays an important role in determining the shape of the prepared SnO2. Room temperature photoluminescence was further carried out on SnO_2 nanocauliflowers to investigate their optical properties. | 14 | Characteristics of Pre-summer Daytime Cloud Regimes over Coastal South China from the Himawari-8 Satellite显示文摘Using the high spatiotemporal resolution(2 km-and-10 min)data from the Advanced Himawari Imager onboard the Himawari-8 satellite,this study documents the fine-scale characteristics of daytime cloud regimes(CRs)over coastal South China during the pre-summer rainy season(April–June).Six CRs(CR1–CR6)are identified based on the joint frequency distribution of cloud top brightness temperature and cloud optical thickness,namely,the optically thin-to-moderate cloud mixture,optically thin warm clouds with cirrus,optically thick warm clouds,weak convective cloud mixture,strong convective clouds,and extreme,deep convective clouds.The optically thick warm clouds are the major CR during April and May,with higher frequencies over land,especially along the urban agglomeration,rather than the offshore which may be an indicator of the higher aerosol concentrations being a contributing factor over the cities.The CRs with weak convective cloud mixtures and strong convective clouds appear more frequently over the land,while the two CRs with optically thinner clouds occur mainly offshore.Synoptic flow patterns(SPs)are objectively identified and examined focusing on those favoring the two major rainproducing CRs(CR5 and CR6)and the highly reflective CR with optically thick warm clouds(CR3).The two SPs favoring CR5 and CR6 are characterized by abundant moisture with low-level jets after monsoon onset,and a northwest highsoutheast low pattern with strong dynamic convergence along the coastline,respectively.The non-convective CR3 with high reflectance is related to a SP that features the western North Pacific subtropical high extending more westward,leading to a moderate moisture supply and a wide range of convective available potential energy,but also,large convective inhibition. | Mingxin LI Yali LUO Min MIN | 2022 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2022,39,12: | 0 |

| 16 | Plasma treated carbon paper electrode greatly improves the performance of iron-hydrogen battery for low-cost energy storage显示文摘A novel iron-hydrogen battery system, whose Fe^(3+)/Fe^(2+)cathode circumvents slowly dynamic oxygen reduction reaction and anode is fed with clean and cordial hydrogen, is systematically investigated. The maximum discharge power density of the iron-hydrogen battery reaches to 96.0 m W/cm^(2) under the room temperature. The capacity reaches to 17.2 Ah/L and the coulombic and energy efficiency are achieved to99% and 86%, respectively, during the galvanostatic charge-discharge test. Moreover, stable cycling test is observed for more than 240 h and 100 cycles with the iron sulfate in the sulfuric acid solutions. It is found that air plasma treatment onto the cathode carbon paper can generate the oxygen-containing groups and increase the hydrophilic pores proportion to ca. 40%, enlarging nearly 6-fold effective diffusion coefficient and improving the mass transfer in the battery performance. Relieving the hypoxia of tumor tissue has been considered as an attractive strategy for enhancing efficacy of ROS-based cancer treatment.Herein, one cascaded platform was developed to overcome tumor hypoxia and synergistically enhance the effect of ROSmediated therapy. This platform is based on cleavable bimetallic metal organic polymers(DOX@Fe/Mn-THPPTK-PEG). As an efficient Fenton-like material, it could not only produce cytotoxic ·OH by catalyzing the decomposition of intracellular H2O2, but also generate O2 to alleviate tumor hypoxia. In addition, the DOX-loaded metal organic polymers(MOPs could be disrupted after being exposed to laser irradiation or/and treated with H2O2, and then release the DOX for chemotherapy. Overall, 3 therapies(hypoxia-relieved PDT, photo-enhanced CDT, and ROS-mediated chemotherapy) could be achieved simultaneously by such a smart platform.
