1A source term model of perturbation in a numerical study on flows around a slender body of revolution at a high angle of attack显示文摘A numerical study on flows around a slender body of revolution at a high angle of attack is conducted to investigate the influence of strength and circumferential angle of perturbation on flow asymmetry.A source term model is applied to simulate a real geometrical perturbation near the tip of the slender body.It can greatly facilitate the adjustment of perturbation strength.The results show that the bistable phenomenon does not appear any more at a small perturbation strength.For different perturbation strengths,the energy of the asymmetric perturbation flow experiences a similar spatial exponential growth regime with the same growth rate.The appearance of the bistable phenomenon is closely related to nonlinear saturation of the perturbation flow as perturbation strength increases.Yang Liu,Dongjun Ma,Dejun Sun~*,Xieyuan Yin Department of Modern Mechanics,University of Science and Technology of China,Hefei 230027,China 2009Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,12:2
2Response of Internal Waves to 2005 Typhoon Damrey over the Northwestern Shelf of the South China Sea显示文摘Continuous observation of sea water temperature and current was made at Wenchang Station(19°35′N,112°E) in 2005. The data collected indicate vigorous internal waves of both short periods and tidal and near-inertial periods. The temperature and current time series during 18-30 September were examined to describe the upper ocean internal wave field response to Typhoon Damrey(0518) . The strong wind associated with the typhoon,which passed over the sea area about 45 km south of Wenchang Station on 25 September,deepened the mixed layer depth remarkably. It decreased the mixed layer temperature while increasing the deep layer temperature,and intensified the near-inertial and high-frequency fluctuations of temperature and current. Power spectra of temperature and current time series indicate significant deviations from those obtained by using the deep ocean internal wave models characterized by a power law. The frequency spectra were dominated by three energetic bands:around the inertial frequency(7.75× 10-6 Hz) ,tidal frequencies(1.0×10-5 to 2.4×10-5 Hz) ,and between 1.4×10-4 and 8.3×10-4 Hz. Dividing the field data into three phases(before,during and after the typhoon) ,we found that the typhoon enhanced the kinetic energy in nearly all the frequency bands,especially in the surface water. The passage of Damrey made a major contribution to the horizontal kinetic energy of the total surface current variances. 5Stress corrosion behavior of 2195-T8 Al-Li alloy with an artificial pit exposed to a 30vol%HNO3 solution显示文摘This paper experimentally studied the stress corrosion behavior of 2195-T8 Al-Li alloys with prefabricated pits in 30vol%HNO3.The microstructure was observed and determined by the scanning electron microscopy and the transmission electron microscopy.The typical corrosion features,i.e.,regular or irregular corrosion pits and sub/intergranular corrosion,were investigated,and the role of stress were analyzed.The statistical results of the number and area of corrosion pits in various sizes were studied using an improved image processing method.Experimental results demonstrate that stress affects the intergranular corrosion or sub-intergranular corrosion of the alloy most,and promotes them to evolve into cracks under stress corrosion.Stress also plays a role in accelerating corrosion severity of certain corrosion feature.The number of corrosion pits with an area of 0–50μm~2 can be seen as an index to reflect the degree of corrosion.Besides,a corrosion phenomenon,i.e.,the pit bottom in the site with the maximum stress locally suffering from no severe corrosion,was observed and discussed.Dejun LIU Gan TIAN Zhengwei YANG Guofeng JIN Wei ZHANG Yin WANG Huali WEI 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,2:1
6Long acting carmustine loaded natural extracellular matrix hydrogel for inhibition of glioblastoma recurrence after tumor resection显示文摘Many scientific efforts have been made to penetrate the blood-brain barrier and target glioblastoma cells,but the outcomes have been limited.More attention should be given to local inhibition of recurrence after glioblastoma resection to meet real medical needs.A biodegradable wafer containing the chemotherapeutics carmustine(1,3-bis(2-chloroethyl)-1-nitrosourea,BCNU)was the only local drug delivery system approved for clinical glioblastoma treatment,but with a prolonged survival time of only two months and frequent side effects.In this study,to improve the sustained release and prolonged therapeutic effect of drugs for inhibiting tumor recurrence after tumor resection,both free BCNU and BCNU-poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(the ratio of lactic acid groups to glycolic acid groups is 75/25)nanoparticles were simultaneously loaded into natural extracellular matrix hydrogel from pigskin to prepare BCNU gels.The hydrogel was injected into the resection cavity of a glioblastoma tumor immediately after tumor removal in a fully characterized resection rat model.Free drugs were released instantly to kill the residual tumor cells,while drugs in nanoparticles were continuously released to achieve a continuous and effective inhibition of the residual tumor cells for 30 days.These combined actions effectively restricted tumor growth in rats.Thus,this strategy of local drug implantation and delivery may provide a reliable method to inhibit the recurrence of glioblastoma after tumor resection in vivo.Sunhui Chen Qiujun Qiu Dongdong Wang Dejun She Bo Yin Meihong Chai Huining He Dong Nyoung Heo Jianxin Wang 2022Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2022,16,4:1

11Versatile nanocomposite augments high-intensity focused ultrasound for high-efficacy sonodynamic therapy of glioma显示文摘High-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU),with inherent advantages of improved ultrasonic depth and low off-target damage,holds the promising capability for glioma treatment,but the relatively long therapeutic time and potential physical complications may hamper its clinical application.Herein,a bovine serum albumin(BSA)-based nanoplatform with in situ growth of MnO_(2) was synthesized,and Protoporphyrin IX(PpIX)was further anchored to obtain a versatile PpIX@MnO_(2)@BSA nanoplatform(denoted as BMP).By employing HIFU as the exogenous irradiation source,a high-efficacy sonodynamic therapy(SDT)is developed,in which the excited BMP enables the production of tumoricidal reactive oxygen species(ROS).The inherent tumor microenvironment(TME)-responsive property of MnO_(2) endows BMP with specific T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)by releasing Mn2+,and the simultaneously generated O_(2) facilitates hypoxia alleviation as well as ^(1)O_(2) generation.Compared with HIFU therapy alone,suppression of glioma growth and improved survival benefits are achieved through the designed TMEresponsive nanocomposite under HIFU exposure.The high-efficacy SDT strategy combining BMP and HIFU demonstrated favorable TME-responsive T1-weighted MRI,hypoxic environment alleviation,and anti-tumor capability,providing a perspective paradigm for MRI-guided glioma treatment.Yingyan Zheng Dejun She Huihui Huang Lin Lin Sunhui Chen Yiping Lu Li Liu Zhiqing Pang Bo Yin 2022Nano Research2022,15,10:0
12NUMERICAL STUDY OF TWO INTERFACE METHODS FOR COMPRESSIBLE MULTI-FLUID FLOWS显示文摘Two interface capturing methods are studied for multi fluid flows, governed by the stiffened gas equation of state. The mixture type interface capturing algorithm uses a simple volume fraction model Euler equations written in a quasi conservative form, which is solved by a standard high resolution piecewise parabolic method (PPM) with multi fluid Riemann solver. The level set interface capturing method uses a narrow band ghost fluid method (GFM) with no numerical smearing. 13Compressive Behaviour and Failure Mechanisms of GFRP Composite at High Strain Rates显示文摘Experimental investigations into the compressive behavior of glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)composite at high strain rates were carried out using a split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB)setup.The GFRP laminates were made from E-glass fibers and epoxy resins by vacuum assisted compression molding machine.The results of the compressive tests indicated that the mechanical behavior of the GFRP composite depends highly on the strain rate.The compressive peak stress,toughness and Young's modulus of the GFRP composite increased with the increase of strain rate,while the strain level at the initial stages of damage was shortened with the increase of strain rate.In addition,the dynamic deformation behavior and failure process of the specimens were observed directly by using a high-speed camera.Following the experiments,the fracture morphologies and damage modes were examined by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)to explore the possible failure mechanisms of the specimens.The results showed that multiple failure mechanisms appeared,such as matrix crack,fiber-matrix debonding,fiber failure and shear fracture.Dejun Yin Jian Zheng Chao Xiong Junhui Yin Huiyong Deng Xiaobo Su 2019Journal of Beijing Institute of Technology2019,28,1:0
14Transmission of Carbapenem Resistance Between Human and Animal NDM-Positive Escherichia coli Strains显示文摘Although carbapenem use is prohibited in animals in China,carbapenem-resistant Escherichia coli(CREC),especially New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase(NDM)-producing strains,are widely prevalent in foodproducing animals.At present,the impact of livestock-associated CREC strains on human populations at the national level is unknown.Here,we conduct a retrospective cross-sectional study to investigate the prevalence of CREC from clinical settings across 22 Chinese provinces or municipalities and analyze anthropogenic factors associated with their presence.We also ascertain the blaNDMand blaKPCabundance among pig and chicken farms and present a detailed genomic framework for CREC of animal and human origin.Overall,631/29799(2.1%)clinical Escherichia coli(E.coli)isolates were identified as CREC.Multivariable analysis revealed that being male,an age below 1,an age between 13 and 18,provinces with greater chicken production,and provinces with higher pig production were associated with higher odds of CREC infection.In general,73.8%(n=45/61)of pig farms and 62.2%(n=28/45)of chicken farms had a blaNDMabundance of 1×10^(-5)to 1×10^(-3)and 1×10^(-3)to 1×10^(-2),respectively.Among all the Chinese NDM-positive E.coli(n=463)available at the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI),the genomic analysis revealed that blaNDM-5and Inc X3 were the predominant carbapenemase gene-plasmid combination,while a highly homogeneous relationship between NDM-positive isolates from humans and animals was demonstrated at the plasmid and core genome levels.All the findings suggest frequent CREC transmission between humans and animals,indicating that further discussions on the use of antibiotics in animals and humans are needed,both in China and across the globe.Yingbo Shen Fupin Hu Yongqiang Wang Dandan Yin Lu Yang Yiqiang Chen Chunyan Xu Jiyun Li Junyao Jiang Xueyang Wang Yulin Fu Dongyan Shao Dejun Liu Tengfei Ma Chang Cai Zhangqi Shen Shaolin Wang Juan Li Rong Zhang Yuebin Ke Congming Wu Jianzhong Shen Timothy R.Walsh Yang Wang 2022Engineering2022,8,8:0
15Low-velocity impact response and infrared radiation characteristics of thermoplastic/thermoset composites显示文摘The low-velocity impact response and infrared radiation characteristics of composites have rarely been focused on simultaneously.This study aims to investigate the low-velocity impact response and infrared radiation characteristics of the glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic polypropylene and carbon fiber reinforced thermosetting epoxy resin laminates wildly used in the aircraft industry.The impact tests were conducted at five energy levels.Characterization parameters such as impact load,displacement,and absorbed energy were measured.The damage evolution and damage modes of the laminates were analyzed through active and passive thermography,ultrasonic C-scan,and optical microscope.The results indicate that Thermosets(TS)laminates exhibit better impact resistance,while Thermoplastics(TP)laminates show higher delamination ductility,and the maximum contact force of TP laminates is much smaller than that of the TS laminates under lowvelocity impacts,but the low bending stiffness and low ductility of the TP matrix cause the difference in energy absorption level between the two not significant.The temperature characteristic changes of passive infrared thermography heat maps could characterize the damage mode of the laminates.The correlation between the heat maps and the impact characteristic curves is explained;the fluctuation of the impact characteristic curves is directly related to the hot spot characteristics changes of the heat maps.More frequent curve fluctuations correspond to a larger and brighter hot spot on the heat map,which peaks at the maximum impact load after the impact force versus time curve fluctuation cutoff point,the maximum center displacement of the impact force versus displacement curve,and the maximum absorbed energy of the absorbed energy versus time curve.Zhibin ZHAO Zhengwei YANG Wei ZHANG Dejun LIU Yin LI Jinshu CHEN 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,10:0
