Level of circulating PD-L1 expression in patients with advanced gastric cancer and its clinical implications显示文摘Objective:The programmed cell death-1 receptor/programmed cell death-1 ligand(PD-1/PD-L1) pathway plays a crucial role in tumor evasion from host immunity. This study was designed to evaluate the association between circulating PD-L1 expression and prognosis in patients with advanced gastric cancer. Methods:Totally 80 advanced gastric cancer patients and 40 health controls from Beijing Cancer Hospital were enrolled in the present study.Circulating PD-L1 expression was tested by enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).The associations between the expression level of PD-L1 and clinicopathological features and prognosis were analyzed statistically. Results:Expression of PD-L1 in advanced gastric cancer patients was significantly up-regulated compared with health people(P=0.006).The expression of PD-L1 was significantly correlated with differentiation and lymph node metastasis(P=0.026 and P=0.041,respectively).Although we didn't find significant difference in all advanced gastric cancer patients with different PD-L1 expression, the adenocarcinoma patients with higher up-regulated PD-L1 expression had much better prognosis than low expression patients(65.6% vs.44.7%,P=0.028).Conclusions:PD-L1 was elevated in advance gastric cancer patients and may play an important role in tumor immune evasion and patients prognosis. | Zhixue Zheng Zhaode Bu Xijuan Liu Lianhai Zhang Ziyu Li Aiwen Wu Xiaojiang Wu Xiaojing Cheng Xiaofang Xing Hong Du Xiaohong Wang Ying Hu Jiafu Ji | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,1: | 37
LGR5 is a promising biomarker for patients with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: To investigate Leucine-rich repeat-containing G protein-coupled receptor 5 (LGR5) expressions in gastric cancer and to evaluate its clinical significance. Methods: LGR5 expression was assessed by immunohistochemistry in 257 gastric cancer patients after surgery. The relationships between LGR5 expression and clinicopathological features and patients prognosis were statistically analyzed. Results: The expression of LGR5 was significantly higher in gastric cancers as a cancer stem cell marker than in adjacent normal tissues (P<0.001), and more frequently in patients with intestinal type, well-moderate differentiation and stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ (P<0.05). Although we found gastric cancer patients with LGR5 positive expression had a poorer prognosis, it didn't meet statistical significance (P>0.05). LGR5 negative expression was significantly related to the favorable overall survival in stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ gastric cancer patients (P<0.05). Furthermore, patients with high LGR5 expression tended to be more likely to get progression and have poorer progress-free survival (P<0.05). Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that LGR5 expression was an independent factor of overall survival for the patients with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ gastric cancer (P<0.05). Conclusions: Our results show that LGR5 may play an important role in tumorigenesis and progression and would be a powerful marker to predict the prognosis of patients with stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ gastric cancer. | Zhaode Bu Zhixue Zheng Lianhai Zhang Ziyu Li Yu Sun Bin Dong Aiwen Wu Xiaojiang Wu Xiaohong Wang Xiaojing Cheng Xiaofang Xing Yingai Li Hong Du Jiafu Ji | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,1: | 17
Progress towards understanding the pathogenesis of dengue hemorrhagic fever显示文摘Dengue virus(DENV) is a mosquito-borne virus belonging to the Flaviviridae family. There are 4 serotypes of DENV that cause human disease through transmission by mosquito vectors. DENV infection results in a broad spectrum of clinical symptoms, ranging from mild fever to dengue hemorrhagic fever(DHF), the latter of which can progress to dengue shock syndrome(DSS) and death. Researchers have made unremitting efforts over the last half-century to understand DHF pathogenesis. DHF is probably caused by multiple factors, such as virus-specific antibodies, viral antigens and host immune responses. This review summarizes the current progress of studies on DHF pathogenesis, which may provide important information for achieving effective control of dengue in the future. | Xiaojing Pang Rudian Zhang Gong Cheng | 2017 | Virologica Sinica2017,32,1: | 13
Variation in cis-regulation of a NAC transcription factor contributes to drought tolerance in wheat显示文摘Drought is a major environmental factor limiting wheat production worldwide, and developing drought-tolerant cultivars is a central challenge for wheat breeders globally. Therefore,it is important to identify genetic components determining drought tolerance in wheat. In this study,we identified a wheat NAC gene(TaNAC071-A)that is tightly associated with drought tolerance by a genome-wide association study.Knockdown of TaNAC071-A in wheat attenuated plant drought tolerance, whereas its overexpression significantly enhanced drought tolerance through improved water-use efficiency and increased expression of stress-responsive genes. This heightened water-saving mechanism mitigated the yield loss caused by water deficit.Further candidate gene association analysis showed that a 108-bp insertion in the promoter of TaNAC071-A alters its expression level and contributes to variation in drought tolerance among wheat accessions. This insertion contains two MYB cis-regulatory elements(CREs)that can be directly bound by the MYB transcription activator,TaMYBL1,thereby leading to increased TaNAC071-A expression and plant drought tolerance.Importantly, introgression of this 108-bp insertion allele,TaNAC071-AIn-693,into drought-sensitive cultivars could improve their drought tolerance, demonstrating that it is a valuable genetic resource for wheat breeding.Taken together, our findings highlight a major breakthrough in determining the genetic basis underlying phenotypic variation in wheat drought tolerance and showcase the potential of exploiting CRE-containing indels for improving important agronomical traits. | Hude Mao Shumin Li Bin Chen Chao Jian Fangming Mei Yifang Zhang Fangfang Li Nan Chen Tian Li Linying Du Li Ding Zhongxue Wang Xinxiu Cheng Xiaojing Wang Zhensheng Kang | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,2: | 9
Methane aromatization in the absence of oxygen over extruded and molded MoO_3/ZSM-5 catalysts:Influences of binder and molding method显示文摘The influences of binder and molding method on the catalytic performance of methane aromatization in the absence of O2 over MoO3/ZSM-5 catalysts were investigated.SEM,NH3-TPD,FT-IR of adsorbed pyridine,N2 adsorption-desorption,cyclohexane adsorption and XPS were employed to characterize the physical and chemical properties of the catalysts. It was found that SiO2 was a suitable binder for the catalyst due to its appropriate weak acidity. The laminar catalyst comprising of an inert spherical core and a MoO3/ZSM-5 laminar shell with 0.1 0.2 mm in thickness showed a better catalytic performance than the extruded catalyst. The improved activity of the laminar catalyst could be attributed to the easy carbonization of Mo species and the quick removal of reaction products from the catalyst surface. | Dongmei Ren Xiangsheng Wang Gang Li Xiaojing Cheng Huayun Long Lidong Chen | 2010 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2010,19,6: | 7
Efficient and stable planar all-inorganic perovskite solar cells based on high-quality CsPbBr3 films with controllable morphology显示文摘All-inorganic cesium lead bromide(CsPbBr3)perovskite is attracting growing interest as functional materials in photovoltaics and other optoelectronic devices due to its superb stability. However, the fabrication of high-quality CsPbBr3 films still remains a big challenge by solution-process because of the low solubility of the cesium precursor in common solvents.Herein,we report a facile solution-processed approach to prepare high-quality CsPbBr3 perovskite films via a two-step spin-coating method,in which the Cs Br methanol/H2 O mixed solvent solution is spin-coated onto the lead bromide films, followed by an isopropanol-assisted post-treatment to regulate the crystallization process and to control the film morphology. In this fashion, dense and uniform CsPbBr3 films are obtained consisting of large crystalline domains with sizes up to microns and low defect density. The effectiveness of the resulting CsPbBr3 films is further examined in perovskite solar cells(PSCs)with a simplified planar architecture of fluorine–doped tin oxide/compact Ti O2/CsPbBr3/carbon,which deliver a maximum power conversion efficiency of 8.11%together with excellent thermal and humidity stability. The present work offers a simple and effective strategy in fabrication of high-quality CsPbBr3 films for efficient and stable PSCs as well as other optoelectronic devices. | Xiaojing Wan Ze Yu Wenming Tian Fuzhi Huang Shengye Jin Xichuan Yang Yi-Bing Cheng Anders Hagfeldt Licheng Sun | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,7: | 6
The Medium Energy X-ray telescope (ME) onboard the Insight-HXMT astronomy satellite显示文摘The Medium Energy X-ray telescope(ME) is one of the three main telescopes on board the Insight hard X-ray modulation telescope(Insight-HXMT) astronomy satellite. ME contains 1728 pixels of Si-PIN detectors sensitive in 5-30 ke V with a total geometrical area of 952 cm^2. The application specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chip, VA32TA6, is used to achieve low power consumption and low readout noise. The collimators define three kinds of field of views(FOVs) for the telescope, 1°×4°, 4°×4°,and blocked ones. Combination of such FOVs can be used to estimate the in-orbit X-ray and particle background components. The energy resolution of ME is ~3 ke V at 17.8 ke V(FWHM) and the time resolution is 255 μs. In this paper, we introduce the design and performance of ME. | XueLei Cao WeiChun Jiang Bin Meng WanChang Zhang Tao Luo Sheng Yang ChunLei Zhang YuDong Gu Liang Sun XiaoJing Liu JiaWei Yang Xian Li Ying Tan ShaoZhen Liu YuanYuan Du FangJun Lu YuPeng Xu Ju Guan ShuangNan Zhang HuanYu Wang TiPei Li ChengMo Zhang XiangYang Wen JinLu Qu LiMing Song XiaoBo Li MingYu Ge YuPeng Zhou ShaoLin Xiong Shu Zhang YongJie Zhang ZeHao Cheng Fei Zhang MaoShun Li XiaoHua Liang Min Gao EnBo Yang XiaoHang Liu HongWei Liu YiJung Yang Fan Zhang | 2020 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2020,63,4: | 5
Numerical analysis of thermal-hydraulic behavior of supercritical water in vertical upward/downward flow channels显示文摘Investigations on the thermal-hydraulic behavior in the SCWR fuel assembly have obtained a significant attention in the international SCWR community. However, there is still a lack of understanding of the heat transfer behavior of supercritical fluids. In this paper, the numerical analysis is carried out to study the thermal-hydraulic behaviour in vertical sub-channels cooled by supercritical water. Remarkable differences in characteristics of secondary flow are found, especially in square lattice, between the upward flow and downward flow. The turbulence mixing across sub-channel gap for downward flow is much stronger than that for upward flow in wide lattice when the bulk temperature is lower than pseudo-critical point temperature. For downward flow, heat transfer deterioration phenomenon is suppressed with respect to the case of upward flow at the same conditions. | GU Hanyang YU Yiqi CHENG Xu LIU Xiaojing | 2008 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2008,19,3: | 5

Synthesis of monolithic carbon aerogels with high mechanical strength via ambient pressure drying without solvent exchange显示文摘A simple, fast and cost-effective method for monolithic carbon aerogels(CAs) preparation was proposed through sol-gel polycondensation of resorcinol with fo rmaldehyde in a basic aqueous solution followed by ambient pressure drying without solvent exchange, and carbonization. The microstructure and network strength of CAs were tailored by adju sting the catalyst concentration([resorcinol]/[sodium carbonate] in the range of 300-2000),water content([deionized water]/[resorcinol] equals to 17 and 24,respectively),and gelation temperature(Tgel in the range of 30-90℃).Resultantly,the CAs with a wide range of density(0.30-1.13 g/cm3),high specific surface area(465-616 m2/g),high compressive strength(6.5-147.4 MPa)and low thermal conductivity(0.065-0.120 W·m-1 K-1) were obtained in this work. Moreover, the largesized CAs(100×100×20 mm3) can also be prepared by this method since the formed robust skeleton network can resist shrinkage/collapse of pore structure and prevent cracking during drying. The improved mechanical strength and monolithic forming abilities could be mainly attributed to the uniform arrangement of carbon particles and pores, fine particle size, abundant network structure and enhanced particle neck. | Zhi Yang Jian Li Xiaojing Xu Shengyang Pang Chenglong Hu Penglei Guo Sufang Tang Hui-Ming Cheng | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,47,15: | 4
PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTORS Interact with the ABA Receptors PYL8 and PYL9 to Orchestrate ABA Signaling in Darkness显示文摘PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTORS(PIFs)are a group of basic helix-loop-helix transcription factors that can physically interact with photoreceptors, including phytochromes and cryptochromes. It was previously demonstrated that PIFs accumulated in darkness and repressed seedling photomorphogenesis, and that PIFs linked different photosensory and hormonal pathways to control plant growth and development. In this study,we show that PIFs positively regulate the ABA signaling pathway during the seedling stage specifically in darkness. We found that PIFs positively regulate ABI5 transcript and protein levels in darkness in response to exogenous ABA treatment by binding directly to the G-box motifs in the ABI5 promoter.Consistently,PIFs and the G-box motifs in the ABI5 promoter determine ABI5 expression in darkness, and overexpression of ABI5 could rescue the ABA-insensitive phenotypes of pifq mutants in the dark. Moreover,we discovered that PIFs can physically interact with the ABA receptors PYL8 and PYL9,and that this interaction is not regulated by ABA.Further analyses showed that PYL8 and PYL9 promote PIF4 protein accumulation in the dark and enhance PIF4 binding to the ABI5 promoter, but negatively regulate PIF4-mediated ABI5 activation.Taken together, our data demonstrate that PIFs interact with ABA receptors to orchestrate ABA signaling in darkness by controlling ABI5 expression, providing new insights into the pivotal roles of PIFs as signal integrators in regulating plant growth and development. | Lijuan Qi Shan Liu Cong Li Jingying Fu Yanjun Jing Jinkui Cheng Hong Li Dun Zhang Xiaoji Wang Xiaojing Dong Run Han Bosheng Li Yu Zhang Zhen Li William Terzaghi Chun-Peng Song Rongcheng Lin Zhizhong Gong Jigang Li | 2020 | Molecular Plant2020,13,3: | 3
Oxygen vacancies enable the visible light photoactivity of chromium-implanted TiO2 nanowires显示文摘Although computational studies have demonstrated that metal ion doping can effectively narrow the bandgap of TiO_(2),the visible-light photoactivity of metal-doped TiO_(2) photoanodes is still far from satisfactory.Herein,we report an effective strategy to activate the visible-light photoactivity of chromiumimplanted TiO_(2) via the incorporation of oxygen vacancies. The chromium-doped TiO_(2) activated by oxygen vacancies(Cr-TiO_(2)-vac)exhibited an incident photon-to-electron conversion efficiency(IPCE)of~6.8%at450 nm,which is one of the best values reported for metal-doped TiO_(2).Moreover,Cr-TiO_(2)-vac showed no obvious photocurrent decay after 100 h under visible-light illumination. | Xianyin Song Wenqing Li Xiaojing Liu Yishang Wu Dong He Zunjian Ke Li Cheng Changzhong Jiang Gongming Wang Xiangheng Xiao Yat Li | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4: | 2

Risk factors associated with early recurrence of adenocarcinoma of gastroesophageal junction after curative resection显示文摘Objective: To clarify the important clinicopathological factors affecting the early recurrence of adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction (AEG). Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 147 AEG patients who underwent R0 resection during the period from December 1995 to December 2007. Risk factors asssociated with the early recurrence were analyzed by χ2 test and logistic regression test. Results: The mean time to tumor recurrence was 16.3 months after R0 resection, and the 1-year recurrence rate was 48.3%. Univariate analysis showed that the histological grade (poorly and moderately differentiated), number of positive lymph nodes, and vascular invasion were significantly related with the early recurrence (P<0.05). Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that only histological grade and vascular invasion were independently related with early tumor recurrence (P<0.05). Conclusions: Histological grade and vascular invasion are independent factors for predicting the early tumor recurrence after R0 resection for AEG. | Guodong Wang Aiwen Wu Xiaojing Cheng Jiafu Ji | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,3: | 2

SLC1A1-mediated cellular and mitochondrial influx of R-2-hydroxyglutarate in vascular endothelial cells promotes tumor angiogenesis in IDH1-mutant solid tumors显示文摘Muta nt isocitrate dehydrog en ase 1(mlDH1)drives tumorigenesis via produci ng on cometabolite R-2-hydroxyglutarate(R-2-HG)across various tumor types. However,mlDHl in hibitors appear only effective in hematological tumors. The therapeutic ben efit in solid tumors remains elusive, likely due to the complex tumor microenvironment. In this study,we discover that R-2-HG produced by IDH1-mutant tumor cells is preferentially imported into vascular endothelial cells and remodels mitochondrial respiration to promote tumor angiogenesis, conferring a therapeutic vulnerability in IDH1-mutant solid tumors.Mechanistically,SLC1 Alz a Na'-depe ndent glutamate tran sporter that is prefere ntially expressed in en dothelial cells, facilitates the in flux of R-2-HG from the tumor microenvironment into the endothelial cells as well as the intracellular trafficking of R-2-HG from cytoplasm to mitochondria.R-2-HG hijacks SLC1A1 to promote mitochondrial Na^(+)/Ca^(2+)exchange,which activates the mitochondrial respiratory chain and fuels vascular en dothelial cell migratio n in tumor an giogenesis.SLC1A1 deficiency in mice abolishes mlDHl-promoted tumor an giogenesis as well as the therapeutic benefit of mlDHl in hibitor in solid tumors. Moreover,we report that HH2301,a newly discovered mlDHl inhibitor, shows promising efficacy in treating IDH1-mutant cholangiocarcinoma in preclinical models.Together,we identify a new role of SLC1A1 as a gatekeeper of R-2-HG-mediated crosstalk between IDH1-mutant tumor cells and vascular en dothelial cells, and dem on strate the therapeutic potential of mlDHl in hibitors in treating IDH1-muta nt solid tumors via disrupting R-2-HG-promoted tumor angiogenesis. | Xiaomin Wang Ziqi Chen Jun Xu Shuai Tang Nan An Lei Jiang Yixiang Zhang Shaoying Zhang Qingli Zhang Yanyan Shen Shijie Chen Xiaojing Lan Ting Wang Linhui Zhai Siyuwei Cao Siqi Guo Yingluo Liu Aiwei Bi Yuehong Chen Xiameng Gai Yichen Duan Ying Zheng Yixian Fu Yize Li Liang Yuan Linjiang Tong Kun Mo Mingcheng Wang Shu-Hai Lin Minjia Tan Cheng Luo Yi Chen Jia Liu Qiansen Zhang Leping Li Min Huang | 2022 | Cell Research2022,32,7: | 2
