| 1 | High-resolution multimodal flexible coherent Raman endoscope显示文摘Coherent Raman scattering microscopy is a fast,label-free,and chemically specific imaging technique that shows high potential for future in vivo optical histology.However,the imaging depth in tissues is limited to the sub-millimeter range because of absorption and scattering.Realization of coherent Raman imaging using a fiber endoscope system is a crucial step towards imaging deep inside living tissues and providing information that is inaccessible with current microscopy tools.Until now,the development of coherent Raman endoscopy has been hampered by several issues,mainly related to the fiber delivery of the excitation pulses and signal collection.Here,we present a flexible,compact,coherent Raman,and multimodal nonlinear endoscope(4.2mm outer diameter,71mm rigid length)based on a resonantly scanned hollow-core Kagomé-lattice double-clad fiber.The fiber design enables distortion-less,background-free delivery of femtosecond excitation pulses and back-collection of nonlinear signals through the same fiber.Sub-micrometer spatial resolution over a large field of view is obtained by combination of a miniature objective lens with a silica microsphere lens inserted into the fiber core.We demonstrate high-resolution,high-contrast coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering,and second harmonic generation endoscopic imaging of biological tissues over a field of view of 320μm at a rate of 0.8 frames per second.These results pave the way for intraoperative label-free imaging applied to real-time histopathology diagnosis and surgery guidance. | Alberto Lombardini Vasyl Mytskaniuk Siddharth Sivankutty Esben Ravn Andresen Xueqin Chen Jérôme Wenger Marc Fabert Nicolas Joly Frédéric Louradour Alexandre Kudlinski Hervé Rigneault | 2018 | Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1: | 6 |
| 2 | Modern experience of low-coal seams underground mining in Ukraine显示文摘Coal is the main energy resource in Ukraine. However geotechnological aspects of coal seams development and Ukrainian crisis have a negative influence on the mining industry. This article analyzes the experience in the development of very low and low-coal seams with 0.7–1.0 m thickness, as well as advanced technological solutions that allowed private coal enterprises, despite the difficult situation in the country, to maintain sufficient(more than 75% of all production) level of steam coal extraction for Ukrainian society. | 3 | The Relationship between Magnetic Gradient and Magnetic Shear in Five Super Active Regions Producing Great Flares显示文摘We study the magnetic structure of five well-known active regions that produced great flares (X5 or larger). The six flares under investigation are the X12 flare on 1991 June 9 in AR 6659, the X5.7 flare on 2000 July 14 in AR 9077, the X5.6 flare on 2001 April 6 in AR 9415, the X5.3 flare on 2001 August 25 in AR 9591, the X17 flare on 2003 October 28 and the X10 flare on 2003 October 29, both in AR 10486. The last five events had corresponding LASCO observations and were all associated with Halo CMEs. We analyzed vector magne-tograms from Big Bear Solar Observatory, Huairou Solar Observing Station, Marshall Space Right Center and Mees Solar Observatory. In particular, we studied the magnetic gradient derived from line-of-sight magnetograms and magnetic shear derived from vector magne-tograms, and found an apparent correlation between these two parameters at a level of about 90%. We found that the magnetic gradient could be a better proxy than the shear for predicting where a major flare might occur: all six flares occurred in neutral lines with maximum gradient. The mean gradient of the flaring neutral lines ranges from 0.14 to 0.50 G km-1, 2.3 to 8 times the average value for all the neutral lines in the active regions. | 8 | Dynamic assessment of variations in pupil diameter using swept‑source anterior segment optical coherence tomography after phakic collamer lens implantation显示文摘Purpose:To dynamically assess variations in pupil diameter induced by changes in brightness in myopic eyes implanted with an implantable collamer lens(ICL,STAAR Surgical)with a central port.Methods:This prospective,observational single-center case series study comprised 65 eyes from 65 consecutive patients undergoing ICL implant.A modified commercially available swept-source Fourier-domain anterior segment optical coherence tomography(AS-OCT)device was used for imaging and performing dynamic pupillometry under changing light conditions before and after a mean follow-up interval of four months after surgery.Results:Preoperative mean pupil size under photopic conditions was 3.38±0.64 mm;after surgery,this increased to 3.48±0.61 mm.Mean pupil size under scotopic light conditions was 5.72±0.79 mm before surgery and 5.84±0.77 mm postoperatively.The differences between preoperative and postoperative pupil diameter in miosis and mydriasis were 0.10±0.44 mm(P=0.078)and 0.12±0.58 mm(P=0.098),respectively.The scotopic pupil exceeded the optic zone of the implanted lens in 39 eyes(60%).The mean central vault value was 412±177μm under maximum miosis and 506±190μm under maximum mydriasis.We found a positive correlation between vault and differences in pupil diameter under all light conditions(P<0.05).Conclusion:Dynamic AS-OCT enables a very precise determination of the pupillary diameter in the iris plane.The changes in the pupil diameter under different light conditions after the implantation of an ICL are related to the postoperative vault. | Felix Gonzalez‑Lopez Carmen Bouza‑Miguens Victor Tejerina Vasyl Druchkiv Blas Mompean Julio Ortega‑Usobiaga Rafael Bilbao‑Calabuig | 2021 | Eye and Vision2021,8,1: | 1 |
