5The impact of cropland conversion on environmental effect in the Loess Plateau: a pilot study based on the national experimental bases显示文摘Conversion of cropland to forestry and grassland is an important method to reduce soil erosion and improve the biophysicalenvironmentin the Loess Plateau.The feasibility,methods,and environmentaleffectsofcropland conversion were studied based on 11 typicalwatershedsofnational experimentalbasesinstead ofdifferentgeographic areasofthe LoessPlateau.Between 1986 and 2000, cropland,sloping cropland and non-agriculturalland decreased by 8% ,92.5% and 8% respectively, while forestry increased by 15.7% .The land use change notonly decreased annualsoilerosion by 74% , but also increased vegetation coverage by 100% and improved the soil condition and biodiversity.This can be achieved by building basic farmland,increasing capitaland scientific input, and planting treesand grassesaccording to thenaturalbiophysicalrestrictions.WANG Fei LI Rui JIAO Feng YANG Qingke TIAN Junliang 2005Journal of Geographical Sciences2005,15,4:3

13Evaluation and Quantitative Attribution Analysis of Water Yield Services in the Peak-cluster Depression Basins in Southwest of Guangxi,China显示文摘Karst environmental issues have become one of the hot spots in contemporary international geological research. The same problem of water shortage is one of the hot spots of global concern. The peak-cluster depression basins in southwest of Guangxi is an important water connotation and ecological barrier areas in the Pearl River Basin of China. Thus, studying the spatial and temporal variations and the influencing factors of its water yield services is critical to achieve the sustainable development of water resources and ecological environmental protection in this region. As such, this paper uses the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs(InVEST) model to assess the spatial and temporal variabilities of water yield services and its trends in the peak-cluster depression basins in southwest of Guangxi from 2000 to 2020. This work also integrates precipitation(Pre), reference evapotranspiration(ET), temperature(Tem), digital elevation model(DEM), slope, normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI), land use/land cover(LULC) and soil type to reveal the main factors that influence water yield services with the help of Geodetector. Results show that: 1) in time scale,the total annual water yield in the study area show a fluctuating and increasing trend from 2000 to 2020, with a growth rate of 7.3753 × 10^(8)m^(3)/yr, and its multi-year average water yield was 538.07 mm;2) in spatial pattern, with high yield areas mainly distributed in the south of the study area(mainly including Shangsi County, Pingxiang City, Ningming County, Longzhou County and Jingxi County), and low yield areas mainly distributed in Baise City and Nanning City;3) the dominant factor of water yield within karst and non-karst landforms is not necessarily controlled by precipitation, and the explanation degree of DEM factors in karst areas is significantly higher than that in non-karst areas;4) amongst the climatic factors, Pre, ET and Tem are dominant in the spatial pattern of region water yield capacity. among which Pre has the highest explanatory power for the spatial heterogeneity of annual water production, with q values above0.8, and each driver showed a significant interaction on the spatial distribution of water yield, with Pre exhibiting the strongest interaction with LULC.WANG Donghua TIAN Yichao ZHANG Yali HUANG Liangliang TAO Jin YANG Yongwei LIN Junliang ZHANG Qiang 2023Chinese Geographical Science2023,33,1:0

16Study of elemental distribution in soil on the loess plateau of China显示文摘Instrument neutron activation analysis (INAA) has been employed in this study to determine 32 elements in soil on the loess plateau. The preliminary results suggest that geochemical characteristics of elements in the soil mainly retained those in the parent materials (loess). It has been found that fractional deposition among grain sizes in the process of loess transportation as well as the bioclimate in which the soil developed are main factors affecting the regional variations of elemental distribution in soil on the plateau. Contour maps of element concentrations plotted from the trend analyses exhibit the major patterns of the distributions and variations on the plateau. 18Half‑Power Prediction and Its Application on the Energy Management Strategy for Fuel Cell City Bus显示文摘The fuel cell hybrid powertrain is a potential power supply system for fuel cell vehicles.The underlying problem is that the fuel cell vehicles encounter exhaustive hydrogen consumption.To effectively manage hydrogen consumption,the aim is to propose fuel cell city bus power and control system.The underlying idea is to determine the target power of fuel cell through simulation study on fuel cell and battery energy management strategy and road test verifications.A half-power prediction energy management strategy is implemented to predict the target power of the fuel cell in the current time step based on the demand power of the vehicle and the state of charge(SOC)of the battery in the previous time steps.This offers better understanding of the correlation between fuel cell power and vehicle drive cycle for enabling effective power supply management.The research results show that the half-power prediction energy management strategy effectively reduces the hydrogen consumption of the vehicle by 7.1%and the number of battery cycle by 6.0%,compared to the stepped manage-ment strategy of battery SOC.When applied to a 12-m fuel cell city bus—F12,specially designed and manufactured for the Winter Olympic Games in 2022—the fuel economy of 3.7 kg/100 km is achieved in urban road conditions.This study lays a foundation for providing the powertrain configuration and energy management strategy of fuel cell city bus.Longhai Zhang Lina Ning Xueqing Yang Sheng Zeng Tian Yuan Gaopeng Li Changchun Ke Junliang Zhang 2023Automotive Innovation2023,6,1:0
19Preventive and therapeutic benefits of nelfinavir in rhesus macaques and human beings infected with SARS-CoV-2显示文摘Effective drugs with broad spectrum safety profile to all people are highly expected to combat COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2.Here we report that nelfinavir,an FDA approved drug for the treatment of HIV infection,is effective against SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19.Preincubation of nelfinavir could inhibit the activity of the main protease of the SARS-CoV-2(IC50=8.26μM),while its antiviral activity in Vero E6 cells against a clinical isolate of SARS-CoV-2 was determined to be 2.93μM(EC50).In comparison with vehicle-treated animals,rhesus macaque prophylactically treated with nelfinavir had significantly lower temperature and significantly reduced virus loads in the nasal and anal swabs of the animals.At necropsy,nelfinavir-treated animals had a significant reduction of the viral replication in the lungs by nearly three orders of magnitude.A prospective clinic study with 37 enrolled treatment-naive patients at Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center,which were randomized(1:1)to nelfinavir and control groups,showed that the nelfinavir treatment could shorten the duration of viral shedding by 5.5 days(9.0 vs.14.5 days,P=0.055)and the duration of fever time by 3.8 days(2.8 vs.6.6 days,P=0.014)in mild/moderate COVID-19 patients.The antiviral efficiency and clinical benefits in rhesus macaque model and in COVID-19 patients,together with its well-established good safety profile in almost all ages and during pregnancy,indicated that nelfinavir is a highly promising medication with the potential of preventative effect for the treatment of COVID-19.Zhijian Xu Danrong Shi Jian-Bao Han Yun Ling Xiangrui Jiang Xiangyun Lu Chuan Li Likun Gong Guangbo Ge Yani Zhang Yi Zang Tian-Zhang Song Xiao-Li Feng Ren-Rong Tian Jia Ji Miaojin Zhu Nanping Wu Chunhui Wu Zhen Wang Yechun Xu Cheng Peng Min Zheng Junling Yang Feifei Du Junliang Wu Peipei Wang Jingshan Shen Jianliang Zhang Yong-Tang Zheng Hangping Yao Weiliang Zhu 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,5:0
