1Optical properties and chemical composition of PM_(2.5) in Shanghai in the spring of 2012显示文摘The semi-diurnal mean aerosol mass concentration, chemical composition, and optical properties of PM2.5were investigated in Shanghai during the spring of 2012. Slight pollution was observed during the study period. The average PM2.5 concentration was 64.11 土 22.83(xg/m3. The mean coefficients of extinction,scattering, and absorption at 532 nm were 125.9 士 78.5,91.1 士 56.3,and 34.9 士 23.6 Mm-1, respectively. A relatively low mean single scattering albedo at 532 nm(0.73 士 0.04) and low level of elemental carbon(EC,2.67 士 1.96 |xg/m3) suggested that the light absorption was enhanced due to the internal mixing of the EC.Sulfate contributed the most to aerosol light scattering in Shanghai. The chemical composition of PM2.5was dominated by particulate organic matter, sulfate, nitrate, ammonium, and EC. Anthropogenic sources made a significant contribution to the emission and loading of the particulate pollutants. 2Microstructure evolution and texture tailoring of reduced graphene oxide reinforced Zn scaffold显示文摘Zinc(Zn)possesses desirable degradability and favorable biocompatibility,thus being recognized as a promising bone implant material.Nevertheless,the insufficient mechanical performance limits its further clinical application.In this study,reduced graphene oxide(RGO)was used as reinforcement in Zn scaffold fabricated via laser additive manufacturing.Results showed that the homogeneously dispersed RGO simultaneously enhanced the strength and ductility of Zn scaffold.On one hand,the enhanced strength was ascribed to(i)the grain refinement caused by the pinning effect of RGO,(ii)the efficient load shift due to the huge specific surface area of RGO and the favorable interface bonding between RGO and Zn matrix,and(iii)the Orowan strengthening by the homogeneously distributed RGO.On the other hand,the improved ductility was owing to the RGO-induced random orientation of grain with texture index reducing from 20.5 to 7.3,which activated more slip systems and provided more space to accommodate dislocation.Furthermore,the cell test confirmed that RGO promoted cell growth and differentiation.This study demonstrated the great potential of RGO in tailoring the mechanical performance and cell behavior of Zn scaffold for bone repair.Youwen Yang Yun Cheng Shuping Peng Liang Xu Chongxian He Fangwei Qi Mingchun Zhao Cijun Shuai 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,5:4

6A bifunctional bone scaffold combines osteogenesis and antibacterial activity via in situ grown hydroxyapatite and silver nanoparticles显示文摘Hydroxyapatite(HA)nanoparticles and silver(Ag)nanoparticles are expected to enable desirable bioactivity and antibac-terial properties on biopolymer scaffolds.Nevertheless,interfacial adhesion between HA/Ag and the biopolymer is poor due to the large physicochemical differences between these components.In this study,poly L-lactic acid(PLLA)powder was first surface-modified with bioactive polydopamine(PDA)in an alkaline environment.Next,HA and Ag nanoparticles were grown in situ on the PDA-coated PLLA powder,which was then adhered to the porous bone scaffold using a selective laser-sintering process.Results showed that HA and Ag nanoparticles were homogenously distributed in the matrix,with enhanced mechanical properties.Simulated body fluid bioactivity tests showed that the in situ grown HA-endowed scaffold shows excellent bioactivity.In vitro tests confirmed that the scaffold exhibits favorable biocompatibility with human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells,as well as strong antibacterial activity against Gram-negative Escherichia coli.Furthermore,in vivo assays indicated that the scaffold promoted bone generation,with a new bone area fraction of 71.8%after 8 weeks’implantation,without inflammation.Youwen Yang Yun Cheng Fang Deng Lida Shen Zhenyu Zhao Shuping Peng Cijun Shuai 2021Bio-Design and Manufacturing2021,4,3:2
7Fluorobenzene diluted low-density electrolyte for high-energy density and high-performance lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘The mass fraction of electrolytes is the crucial factor affecting the energy density of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries. Due to the high porosity within the C/S cathode, high concentration of polysulfides, and side reaction in lithiun metal anode under lean electrolyte, it is extremely challenging to improve performance while reducing the electrolyte volume. Here, we report a novel electrolyte with relatively low density(1.16 g cm^(-2)), low viscosity(1.84 m Pa s), and high ionic conductivity, which significantly promotes energy density and cyclability of Li-S batteries under practical conditions. Moreover, such electrolyte enables a hybrid cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI) and solid electrolyte interface(SEI) layer with plentiful Li F, which leads to fast kinetics of ions transport and stable cyclability even under low temperatures.Compared to Li-S batteries in electrolyte employing 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether(TTE) diluent, the ultra-thick cathode(20 mg cm^(-2)) shows a high capacity of 9.48 m Ah cm^(-2)and excellent capacity retention of 80.3% over 191 cycles at a low electrolyte-to-sulfur ratio(E/S = 2) and negative-to-positive capacity ratio(N/P = 2.5), realizing a 19.2% improvement in energy density in coin cells(from 370 to 441 Wh kg^(-1)) and a high energy density up to 467 Wh kg^(-1) in pouch cells. 18Electrochemical process of sulfur in carbon materials from electrode thickness to interlayer显示文摘Lots of efforts have been done on different porous carbon materials as cathode for Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)battery. However, seldom researches have been done on the relationship between cathode thickness and electrochemical performance. Our work investigates the relation between electrochemical performance and cathode thickness with typical porous carbon materials. We explain the phenomenon that only a modest cathode thickness can have the most adequate electrochemical reaction trend through the aspect of thermodynamics(chemical potential) so that the best electrochemical performance can be obtained.Besides, interlayer can remit the shuttle effect but hinder the lithium ion diffusion process simultaneously. 20Boosting Cu(In,Ga)Se_(2)Thin Film Growth in Low-Temperature Rapid-Deposition Processes:An Improved Design for the Single-Heating Knudsen Effusion Cell显示文摘The Knudsen effusion cell is often used to grow high-quality Cu(In,Ga)Se_(2)(CIGS)thin film in coevaporation processes.However,the traditional single-heating Knudsen effusion cell cannot deliver complete metal selenides during the whole deposition process,particularly for a low-temperature deposition process,which is probably due to the condensation and droplet ejection at the nozzle of the crucible.In this study,thermodynamics analysis is conducted to decipher the reason for this phenomenon.Furthermore,a new single-heating Knudsen effusion is proposed to solve this difficult problem,which leads to an improvement in the quality of CIGS film and a relative increase in conversion efficiency of 29%at a growth rate of about 230 nmmin1,compared with the traditional efficiency in a lowtemperature rapid-deposition process.Yunxiang Zhang Shuping Lin Shiqing Cheng Zhichao He Zhaojing Hu Zhiqiang Zhou Wei Liu Yun Sun 2021Engineering2021,7,4:0
