| 1 | Active vibration control of piezoelectric bonded smart structures using PID algorithm显示文摘Thin-walled structures are sensitive to vibrate under even very small disturbances. In order to design a suitable controller for vibration suppression of thin-walled smart structures, an electro-mechanically coupled finite element(FE) model of smart structures is developed based on first-order shear deformation(FOSD) hypothesis. Considering the vibrations generated by various disturbances, which include free and forced vibrations, a PID control is implemented to damp both the free and forced vibrations. | 4 | Vinylene-Linked Two-Dimensional Covalent Organic Frameworks:Synthesis and Functions显示文摘Two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks(2D COFs)with covalently bonded repeat units and crystalline,porous framework backbones have attracted immense attention since the first 2D COFs were reported by Yaghi’s group in 2005.The extended single-layer structures of 2D COFs are also generally considered to be the 2D polymers.The precise incorporation of molecular building blocks into ordered frameworks enables the synthesis of novel organic materials with designable and predictable properties for specific applications,such as in optoelectronics,energy storage,and conversion.In particular,the 2Dπ-conjugated COFs(2D-c-COFs)represent a unique class of 2D conjugated polymers that have 2D molecular-periodic structures with extended in-planeπ-conjugations.In the 2D-c-COFs,the conjugated skeletons andπ−πstacking interactions can provide the pathways for electron transport,while the porous channel can enable the loading of active sites for catalysis and sensing.Thus far,the synthesis of 2D-c-COFs has been mostly limited to Schiff base chemistry based on the condensation reaction between amine and aldehyde/ketone monomers because the construction of 2D COFs as thermodynamically controlled products generally requires a highly reversible reaction for error-correction processes.However,the high reversibility of imine linkages would conversely endow moderateπ-electron delocalization due to the polarized carbon−nitrogen bonds and poor stability against strong acids/bases.To achieve robust and highly conjugated 2D-c-COFs,a series of synthesis strategies have been developed,including a one-step reversible reaction with a bond-forming−bond braking−bond reforming function,a quasi-reversible reaction combing reversible and irreversible processes,and postmodifications converting labile bonds to a robust linkage.Among all of the reported 2D-c-COFs,vinylene-linked(also sp^(2)-carbon-linked)2D covalent organic frameworks(V-2D-COFs)with high in-planeπ-conjugation have attracted increasing interest after we reported the first V-2D-COFs via a Knoevenagel polycondensation in 2016.Although CC bonds have low reversibility,making the synthesis of V-2D-COFs quite challenging,there have been around 40 V-2D-COFs reported over the past 5 years,which demonstrated the merits of V-2D-COFs combining with unique optoelectronic,redox,and magnetic properties.In this Account,we will summarize the development of V-2D-COFs,covering the important aspects of synthesis methods,design strategies,unique physical properties,and functions.First,the solvothermal synthesis of V-2D-COFs using different reaction methodologies and design principles will be presented,including Knoevenagel polycondensation,other aldol-type polycondensations,and Horner−Wadsworth−Emmons(HWE)polycondensation.Second,we will discuss the optoelectronic and magnetic properties of V-2D-COFs.Finally,the promising applications of V-2D-COF in the fields of sensing,photocatalysis,energy storage,and conversion will be demonstrated,which benefit from their robust vinylene-linked skeleton,full in-planeπ-conjugation,and tailorable structures.We anticipate that this Account will provide an intensive understanding of the synthesis of V-2D-COFs and inspire the further development of this emerging class of conjugated organic crystalline materials with unique physicochemical properties and applications across different areas. | Shunqi Xu Marcus Richter Xinliang Feng | 2021 | Accounts of Materials Research2021,2,4: | 2 |

| 17 | Impact of estuarine reclamation projects on saltwater intrusion and freshwater resource显示文摘Estuarine projects can change local topography and influence water transport and saltwater intrusion.The Changjiang(Yangtze)River estuary is a multichannel estuary,and four major reclamation projects have been implemented in the Changjiang River estuary in recent years:the Xincun Shoal reclamation project(RP-XCS),the Qingcao Shoal reclamation project(RP-QCS),the Eastern Hengsha Shoal reclamation project(RP-EHS),and the Nanhui Shoal reclamation project(RP-NHS).The effects of the four reclamation projects and each project on the saltwater intrusion and water resources in the Changjiang River estuary were simulated in a 3D numerical model.Results show that for a multichannel estuary,local reclamation projects change the local topography and water diversion ratio(WDR)between channels and influence water and salt transport and freshwater utilization in the estuary.During spring tide,under the cumulative effect of the four reclamation projects,the salinity decreases by approximately 0.5in the upper reaches of the North Branch and increases by 0.5-1.0 in the middle and lower reaches of the North Branch.In the North Channel,the salinity decreases by approximately 0.5.In the North Passage,the salinity increases by 0.5-1.0.In the South Passage,the salinity increases by approximately 0.5 in the upper reaches and decreases by 0.2-0.5 on the north side of the middle and lower reaches.During neap tide,the cumulative effects of the four reclamation projects and the individual projects are similar to those during spring tide,but there are some differences.The effects of an individual reclamation project on WDR and saltwater intrusion during spring and neap tides are simulated and analyzed in detail.The cumulative effect of the four reclamation projects favors freshwater usage in the Changjiang River estuary. | Hanghang LU Jianrong ZHU Qing CHEN Ming LI Shunqi PAN Shenliang CHEN | 2023 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,1: | 1 |
| 18 | Contemporary Asymmetric Genetic Introgression Between Two Pelophylax Species in Shanghai显示文摘Human disturbances are considered to break reproduction barriers among species.Significant increases in hybridization events have been reported among a large number of taxonomic groups in anthropogenic environments,providing novel insights into species evolution mechanisms and conservation management in the Anthropocene.The Eastern Golden Frog(Pelophylax plancyi)and BlackSpotted Frog(P.nigromaculatus)are two sympatric anuran species with a long history of mitochondrial genome introgression in highly urbanized continental East Asia.However,there is only limited understanding of the pattern of their contemporary hybridization and factors influencing their interspecific relationship under anthropogenic disturbances.Here,interspecific hybridization between P.plancyi and P.nigromaculatus at the population level was investigated in Shanghai.All except two haplotypes obtained from both species in Shanghai were mixed together,and located in the introgression clade,implying multiple ancient mitochondrial introgression events occurred in the populations of our study area.Asymmetric genetic introgression was detected by microsatellite markers,with 0.7%of P.plancyi and 14.6%of P.nigromaculatus identified as contemporary admixed individuals.Consistent with the trend of population density,higher genetic diversity of neutral microsatellite loci was found in the more abundant P.plancyi;however,variation in mitochondrial(Cyt-b)and nuclear(POMC)genes was higher in relatively rare P.nigromaculatus.The population density of P.plancyi and number of water patches within local habitats were significantly positively correlated with both occurrences and proportions of admixed individuals in the populations of P.plancyi and P.nigromaculatus.Considering the prevalent transformation of habitats in urbanized areas,these results imply that a high population density in isolated artificially altered habitats is likely to increase interspecific hybridization.Thus,population monitoring and improvement of landscape connectivity between habitats would be needed to control the intensity of interspecific hybridization between P.plancyi and P.nigromaculatus in anthropogenic-disturbed environments. | Xu WEI Wenli LIU Gang WANG Rui MA Meiling HUANG Jiaxin ZHENG Tingwei DONG Changqing YUAN Shunqi BO Xiao YUAN Ben LI Shuo MA Qu YUE Youzhong DING Zhenghuan WANG | 2024 | Asian Herpetological Research2024,15,1: | 0 |
| 19 | Interferon-γ acts as a regulator in the trade-off between phagocytosis and production performance in dwarf chickens显示文摘Background: Interferon-γ(IFN-γ) is critical for innate and adaptive immunity against viral and bacterial infections. IFN-γ reportedly affects the phagocytic ability of monocytes and macrophages as well as regulates pituitary function in humans and mice. The present study analyzed the impact of IFN-γ on monocyte and macrophage phagocytosis, production performance, and pituitary function in vivo and in vitro(in dwarf chickens). IFN-γ was injected into dwarf chickens through a vein, and then, the laying rate, average egg weight, and levels of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) and IFN-γ were measured in treatment and control groups. For the in vitro experiment, the pituitary tissues were supplemented with IFN-γ, and the m RNA expression levels of follicle-stimulating hormone beta subunit(FSH-β), interferon gamma receptor 1(IFNGR1),and interferon gamma receptor 2(IFNGR2) in the pituitary were assessed.Results: Monocyte and macrophage phagocytosis product(PP) was decreased by IFN-γ treatment in a dose-dependent manner in vitro. In the in vivo experiment, the level of IFN-γ in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group at 7 d(P < 0.05), 14 d(P < 0.01), and 21 d(P < 0.01) post-injection.Compared with the control group, monocyte and macrophage PP was lower in the treatment group after injection(P < 0.01). The laying rate was higher in the treatment group than in the control group at 2 and3 wk post-injection(P < 0.05). There was a significant difference between the treatment and control groups in the levels of FSH at 1, 3, 7, and 14 d post-injection(P < 0.01). In the in vitro experiment, increased m RNA expression levels of FSH-β, IFNGR1, and IFNGR2 were observed in the treatment group after stimulation with100 U/m L IFN-γ for 24 h compared to those in the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusions: IFN-γ inhibited the phagocytosis of monocytes and macrophages; up-regulated the m RNA expression levels of the FSH-β, IFNGR1, and IFNGR2; enhanced the secretion of FSH; and improved the laying rate.
