4 K high frequency pulse tube cryocooler used for terahertz space application显示文摘Terahertz(THz) frequency region, defined from0.1 to 10 THz, is an important frequency band for radio astronomy and atmospheric science. As NbN Superconductor-Insulator-Superconductor(SIS) mixers used for terahertz detection, which are studied by the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS), work at 8–10 K, and require condition of micro vibrations, its astronomical observation in aerospace is limited by suitable refrigeration method. 4 K high frequency pulse tube cryocooler developed by Key Laboratory of Space Energy Conversion Technologies(SECT), Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry(TIPC), CAS, offers an opportunity for the application of SIS mixers. This article introduces the progress of the two-stage high frequency pulse tube cryocooler researched by TIPC. The cryocooler has reached a no load temperature of 4.5 K which is the lowest temperature for this kind of cryocooler reported so far. The successful coupling between the THz component and the high frequency pulse tube cryocooler lays a solid foundation for space detection in the terahertz band. | Jia Quan Yanjie Liu Dong Liu Kun Zhang Jingtao Liang Jing Li Qijun Yao Shengcai Shi | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,27: | 12
Geometric morphometric analysis of Eysarcoris guttiger,E.annamita and E.ventralis(Hemiptera:Pentatomidae)显示文摘The genus Eysarcoris can be easily distinguished from other genera through the two spots in the basal angle of the scutellum.Nevertheless,Eysarcoris species show complex variances.Geometric morphometric methods have been increasingly applied to distinguish species and to define the boundary of genera among insects. In the present study, geometric morphometric approach was firstly employed to evaluate the shape variation of three characters(fore wing, hind wing and pygophore) of E.guttiger,E.annamita and E.ventralis using E.aeneus as outgroup to ascertain whether this approach is a reliable method for the taxonomy of Eysarcoris.Analysis was conducted on the landmarks of the three characters of these species.Multivariate regression of procrustes coordinates against centroid size was conducted to test the presence of allometry.Principal component analysis(PCA),canonical variate analysis(CVA) and cluster analysis were utilized to describe variations in shapes among the studied species. For all of the three characters, though PCA analysis showed some overlap among species,p-values for procrustes distance and mahalanobis distance were all less than 0.0001.The distribution of the three studied species corresponds with their species status. This study demonstrates that the geometric morphometrics of both the fore wing and the hind wing might represent a possible tool for the identification of species within this genus. | Rongrong Li Hufang Zhang Shengcai Li Ming Bai | 2017 | Zoological Systematics2017,42,1: | 6
Improved formulas for thermal behavior of oscillating nanobubbles显示文摘The study of nanobubbles(with sizes of the order of tens to hundreds of nanometers) is currently a hot spot of cavitation and bubble dynamics. In the literature, classical formulas are widely employed for the predictions of the thermal behavior of oscillating macro-bubbles. However, for modelling nanobubbles, the classical formulas may not be adequate due to the effects of the surface tension. In the present paper, a formula with the effects of surface tension fully considered is proposed for the predictions of thermal behavior. The predictions based on the classical formula are also presented for comparisons to show the advantages of the present formula. | 张宇宁 Shengcai LI | 2016 | Journal of Hydrodynamics2016,28,2: | 3
Consensus for prevention and management of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) for neurologists显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID‐19)has become a pandemic disease globally.Although COVID-19 directly invades lungs,it also involves the nervous system. Therefore, patients with nervous system involvement as the presenting symptoms in the early stage of infection may easily be misdiagnosed and their treatment delayed. They become silent contagious sources or‘virus spreaders’.In order to help neurologists to better understand the occurrence, development and prognosis,we have developed this consensus of prevention and management of COVID‐19.It can also assist other healthcare providers to be familiar with and recognise COVID-19 in their evaluation of patients in the clinic and hospital environment. | Huijuan Jin Candong Hong Shengcai Chen Yifan Zhou Yong Wang Ling Mao Yanan Li Quanwei He Man Li Ying Su David Wang Longde Wang Bo Hu | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2: | 3
The chromosome-scale genome of Phoebe bournei reveals contrasting fates of terpene synthase (TPS)-a and TPS-b subfamilies显示文摘Terpenoids, including aromatic volatile monoterpenoids and sesquiterpenoids, function in defense against pathogens and herbivores.Phoebe trees are remarkable for their scented wood and decay resistance.Unlike other Lauraceae species investigated to date,Phoebe species predominantly accumulate sesquiterpenoids instead of monoterpenoids.Limited genomic data restrict the elucidation of terpenoid variation and functions. Here,we present a chromosome-scale genome assembly of a Lauraceae tree,Phoebe bournei, and identify 72 full-length terpene synthase(TPS)genes.Genome-level comparison shows pervasive lineage-specific duplication and contraction of TPS subfamilies, which have contributed to the extreme terpenoid variation within Lauraceae species.Although the TPS-a and TPS-b subfamilies were both expanded via tandem duplication in P.bournei, more TPS-a copies were retained and constitutively expressed, whereas more TPS-b copies were lost. The TPS-a genes on chromosome 8 functionally diverged to synthesize eight highly accumulated sesquiterpenes in P.bournei.The essential oil of P.bournei and its main component,b-caryophyllene,exhibited antifungal activities against the three most widespread canker pathogens of trees. The TPS-a and TPS-b subfamilies have experienced contrasting fates over the evolution of P.bournei.The abundant sesquiterpenoids produced by TPS-a proteins contribute to the excellent pathogen resistance of P.bournei trees.Overall, this study sheds light on the evolution and adaptation of terpenoids in Lauraceae and provides valuable resources for boosting plant immunity against pathogens in various trees and crops. | Xiao Han Junhong Zhang Shuang Han Sun Li Chong Guanliang Meng Minyan Song Yang Wang Shengcai Zhou Chengcheng Liu Luhuan Lou Xiongzhen Lou Longjun Cheng Erpei Lin Huahong Huang Qi Yang Zaikang Tong | 2022 | Plant Communications2022,3,6: | 3
Disease characteristics and neuropathological changes associated with cognitive dysfunction in obstructive sleep apnea显示文摘Obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)is a common sleep-disordered breathing disease that often leads to many comorbidities(e.g.,cognitive dysfunction),which adversely affect the quality of life for patients with OSA.Thus far,the underlying mechanisms of this dysfunction remain unclear. Many studies have focused on OSA-related characteristics, including intermittent hypoxemia and sleep fragmentation. There is increasing emphasis on neuroimaging studies to explore underlying relationships between neuropathological changes and cognitive dysfunction. This article reviews recent research progress concerning cognitive dysfunction associated with OSA to reveal potential mechanisms that contribute to this dysfunction. | Tingting Ji Xiaodan Li Yue Qiu Lin Mei Xinbei Jia Jun Tai Yongli Guo Jie Zhang Shengcai Wang Xin Ni | 2021 | Pediatric Investigation2021,5,1: | 2
Clinical time course of COVID-19, its neurological manifestation and some thoughts on its management显示文摘Coronavirus disease-2019(COVID‐19)has become a global pandemic.COVID-19 runs its course in two phases, the initial incubation phase and later clinical symptomatic phase.Patients in the initial incubation phase often have insidious clinical symptoms, but they are still highly contagious. At the later clinical symptomatic phase, the immune system is fully activated and the disease may enter the severe infection stage in this phase.Although many patients are known for their respiratory symptoms, they had neurological symptoms in their first 1-2 days of clinical symptomatic phase, and ischaemic stroke occurred 2 weeks after the onset of the clinical symptomatic phase. The key is to prevent a patient from progressing to this severe infection from mild infection. We are sharing our experience on prevention and management of COVID-19. | Yifan Zhou Wei Li David Wang Ling Mao Huijuan Jin Yanan Li Candong Hong Shengcai Chen Jiang Chang Quanwei He Mengdie Wang Bo Hu | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2: | 2
Influence of upstream disturbance on the draft-tube flow of Francis turbine under part-load conditions显示文摘Owing to the part-load operations for the enhancement of grid flexibility, the Francis turbine often suffers from severe low-frequency and large-amplitude hydraulic instability, which is mostly pertinent to the highly unsteady swirling vortex rope in the draft tube. The influence of disturbances in the upstream(e.g., large-scale vortex structures in the spiral casing) on the draft-tube vortex flow is not well understood yet. In the present paper, the influence of the upstream disturbances on the vortical flow in the draft tube is studied based on the vortex identification method and the analysis of several important parameters(e.g., the swirl number and the velocity profile). For a small guide vane opening(representing the part-load condition), the vortices triggered in the spiral casing propagate downstream and significantly affect the swirling vortex-rope precession in the draft tube, leading to the changes of the intensity and the processional frequency of the swirling vortex rope. When the guide vane opening approaches the optimum one(representing the full-load condition), the upstream disturbance becomes weaker and thus its influences on the downstream flow are very limited. | 陈婷 郑祥豪 张宇宁 Shengcai Li | 2018 | Journal of Hydrodynamics2018,30,1: | 2
Mechanical Behaviors and Deformation Properties of Retaining Wall Formed by Grouting Mould-Bag Pile显示文摘The simplified mechanical model and finite element model are established on the basis of the measured results and analysis of the grouting pile deformation monitoring, surface horizontal displacement and vertical displacement monitoring, deep horizontal displacement(inclinometer)monitoring, soil pressure monitoring and seepage pressure monitoring in the lower reaches of Wuan River regulation project in Shishi,Fujian Province. The mechanical behavior and deformation performance of mould-bag pile retaining wall formed after controlled cement grouting in the silty stratum of the test section are analyzed and compared. The results show that the use of controlled cement grouting mould-bag pile technology is to strengthen the soft stratum for sealing water and reinforcement,so that it can rock into a retaining wall, which can both retain soil and seal water with excellent effect. The control of cement grouting technology not only makes the soft soil rock in the range of retaining wall of mould-bag pile, but also makes a wide range of soil around the mould-bag pile squeeze and embed to compaction;and its cohesion and internal friction angle increased,so as to achieve the purpose of reducing soil pressure and improving mechanical and deformation properties of retaining wall. | Shengcai Li Jun Tang Lin Guo | 2019 | Structural Durability & Health Monitoring2019,13,1: | 1

High Permeability of Boron along the Transverse Direction of Wood under High-Voltage Electrostatic Field (HVEF) Treatment显示文摘Permeability of wood preservative is one of the most significant factors for protection of wood construction.Ani-sotropic flow permeability was involved in different directions of wood with higher flow resistance in the trans-verse and lower longitudinal directions. In this study, boron acid solution was brushed onto the tangential section of air-dried wood cubes and boron penetration along wood transverse direction was investigated under free dif-fusion,vacuum and HVEF treatments.Multi-scale boron distribution,FTIR measurement, leaching property, mechanical properties and fungistatic characteristic were investigated for free diffusion, vacuum and HVEF trea-ted samples respectively. The results revealed that boron exhibited high permeability along the transverse direc-tion with the penetration depth of≈35 mm for HVEF treated samples and≈1 mm for free diffusion and vacuum treated samples. For HVEF treated samples,no significant decrease of hardness, compression modulus of elasti-city and strength were found in the treated samples.Better fungistatic characteristic was showcased in HVEF trea-ted samples exposed to white rot fungi. Thus,HVEF treatment has a positive effect on boron permeability and the improvement of penetration depth of preservatives hence playing a significant role in wood protection and prolonging the service life of wood construction. | Daiyuan Zhang Qian He Baocong Du Junbao Yu Xudong Zhu Dingyi Yang Shengcai Li Tianyi Zhan Liming Shen Zhiqiang Wang Xiaoning Lu | 2022 | Journal of Renewable Materials2022,10,3: | 1
