The Variation of Stone Cell Content in 236 Germplasms of Sand Pear(Pyrus pyrifolia)and Identification of Related Candidate Genes显示文摘Stone cells have been described to substantially influence pear fruit quality,as lignin and cellulose are the main components of stone cells. However, there are limited studies on the relationship between the variation and molecular basis of stone cells, lignin and cellulose content among different pear varieties. Here,to reveal the variation of stone cell content within different cultivated species,we collected 236 germplasms of sand pear(Pyrus pyrifolia)at 50 days after flower blooming(DAFB),the key stage of stone cell formation. In our results,we measured the content of stone cells, lignin and cellulose and found that these contents ranged from2.82%to 29.00%,8.84%to 55.30%and 11.52%to 30.55%,respectively.Further analysis showed that the variation coefficient of stone cell, lignin and cellulose content was 39.10%,28.03%and 16.71%,respectively.Additionally,a significant correlation between stone cell, lignin and cellulose content were detected, and the correlation coefficient between the contents of stone cell and lignin(0.912)was higher than between the contents of stone cell and cellulose(0.796).Moreover,the average lignin content(29.73%)was higher than the average cellulose content(18.03%)in stone cells in pear fruits, indicating that lignin is the main component of stone cell in pears. Finally,on the basic of the transcriptome data,we identified 10 transcription factors belonging to bHLH,ERF,MYB,and NAC transcript families, which might be involved in lignin formation in stone cells.qRT-PCR experiments verified coincident trends between expression of candidate genes and stone cell content. This research laid foundation for future studies on genetic variation of stone cells in pear fruits and provided important gene resources for stone cell regulation. | Jiaying Zhang Jiaming Li Cheng Xue Runze Wang Mingyue Zhang Kaijie Qi Jing Fan Hongju Hu Shaoling Zhang Jun Wu | 2021 | Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,2: | 3
Relationship between the parent charge transfer gap and maximum transition temperature in cuprates显示文摘One of the biggest puzzles concerning the cuprate high temperature superconductors is what determines the maximum transition temperature(Tc,max), which varies from less than 30 to above 130 K in different compounds.Despite this dramatic variation, a robust trend is that within each family, the double-layer compound always has higher Tc,maxthan the single-layer counterpart. Here we use scanning tunneling microscopy to investigate the electronic structure of four cuprate parent compounds belonging to two different families. We find that within each family, the double layer compound has a much smaller charge transfer gap size(DCT), indicating a clear anticorrelation between DCTand Tc,max. These results suggest that the charge transfer gap plays a key role in the superconducting physics of cuprates, which shed important new light on the high Tc mechanism from doped Mott insulator perspective. | Wei Ruan Cheng Hu Jianfa Zhao Peng Cai Yingying Peng Cun Ye Runze Yu Xintong Li Zhenqi Hao Changqing Jin Xingjiang Zhou Zheng-Yu Weng Yayu Wang | 2016 | Science Bulletin2016,61,23: | 3
Electrochemical deposited amorphous FeNi hydroxide electrode for oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘The electrodeposition approach is significant in electrode fabrication for practical application.Herein, the electrodeposited amorphous NiFe hydroxide species for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in water splitting reaction is demonstrated by revealing the synergistic effect influenced by the support electrode of Fe and Ni foil and the contents of Fe and Ni in the electrolyte. All the electrodeposited samples have an amorphous structure and similar profiles of binding energy and chemical states for Fe and Ni as characterized by the spectroscopic techniques. While the support effect and Fe/Ni synergistic effect are indeed observed for the varied catalytic performances observed for the different electrodes;the Ni foil supported catalyst exhibits much higher performance than that of the Fe foil supported catalyst, and the different redox potentials of Ni species in the different Fe/Ni electrode resulting from the Fe–Ni synergism are observed in the cyclic voltammetry curve analysis. The surface roughness and the electrochemical surface area are also influenced by the support effect and the Fe/Ni ratio in the plating electrolyte. The optimal electrode shows a very low overpotential of~200 mV to reach 10 mA cm^(-2),and very high catalytic stability by the consecutive cyclic voltammetry measurements and 20 h stability test.Though it has the largest electrochemical surface area, the highest catalytic efficiency for these active sites is also indicated by the specific activity and turnover frequency polarization curves. The current work shows the effective experience for the electrodeposited Fe/Ni based catalysts in large-scale fabrication, which can be more practical for hydrogen generation in the alkaline water electrolysis. | Zhengzhi Yin Runze He Yongcai Zhang Ligang Feng Xiang Wu Thomas Wågberg Guangzhi Hu | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,6: | 2
The Solar Upper Transition Region Imager(SUTRI)Onboard the SATech-01 Satellite显示文摘The Solar Upper Transition Region Imager(SUTRI)onboard the Space Advanced Technology demonstration satellite(SATech-01),which was launched to a Sun-synchronous orbit at a height of~500 km in 2022 July, aims to test the on-orbit performance of our newly developed Sc/Si multi-layer reflecting mirror and the 2k×2k EUV CMOS imaging camera and to take full-disk solar images at the Ne VII 46.5 nm spectral line with a filter width of~3 nm.SUTRI employs a Ritchey-Chrétien optical system with an aperture of 18 cm.The on-orbit observations show that SUTRI images have a field of view of~416×416 and a moderate spatial resolution of~8″without an image stabilization system. The normal cadence of SUTRI images is 30 s and the solar observation time is about16 hr each day because the earth eclipse time accounts for about 1/3 of SATech-01's orbit period.Approximately15 GB data is acquired each day and made available online after processing.SUTRI images are valuable as the Ne VII 46.5 nm line is formed at a temperature regime of~0.5 MK in the solar atmosphere, which has rarely been sampled by existing solar imagers.SUTRI observations will establish connections between structures in the lower solar atmosphere and corona, and advance our understanding of various types of solar activity such as flares, filament eruptions, coronal jets and coronal mass ejections. | Xianyong Bai Hui Tian Yuanyong Deng Zhanshan Wang Jianfeng Yang Xiaofeng Zhang Yonghe Zhang Runze Qi Nange Wang Yang Gao Jun Yu Chunling He Zhengxiang Shen Lun Shen Song Guo Zhenyong Hou Kaifan Ji Xingzi Bi Wei Duan Xiao Yang Jiaben Lin Ziyao Hu Qian Song Zihao Yang Yajie Chen Weidong Qiao Wei Ge Fu Li Lei Jin Jiawei He Xiaobo Chen Xiaocheng Zhu Junwang He Qi Shi Liu Liu Jinsong Li Dongxiao Xu Rui Liu Taijie Li Zhenggong Feng Yamin Wang Chengcheng Fan Shuo Liu Sifan Guo Zheng Sun Yuchuan Wu Haiyu Li Qi Yang Yuyang Ye Weichen Gu Jiali Wu Zhe Zhang Yue Yu Zeyi Ye Pengfeng Sheng Yifan Wang Wenbin Li Qiushi Huang Zhong Zhang | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,6: | 1
Associations of genome-wide structural variations with phenotypic differences in cross-bred Eurasian pigs显示文摘Background During approximately 10,000 years of domestication and selection,a large number of structural variations(SVs)have emerged in the genome of pig breeds, profoundly influencing their phenotypes and the ability to adapt to the local environment.SVs(≥50 bp)are widely distributed in the genome, mainly in the form of insertion(INS),mobile element insertion(MEI),deletion(DEL),duplication(DUP),inversion(INV),and translocation(TRA).While studies have investigated the SVs in pig genomes,genome-wide association studies(GWAS)-based on SVs have been rarely conducted. Results Here,we obtained a high-quality SV map containing 123,151 SVs from 15 Large White and 15 Min pigs through integrating the power of several SV tools, with 53.95%of the SVs being reported for the first time. These high-quality SVs were used to recover the population genetic structure, confirming the accuracy of genotyping.Potential functional SV loci were then identified based on positional effects and breed stratification. Finally,GWAS were performed for 36 traits by genotyping the screened potential causal loci in the F2 population according to their corresponding genomic positions. We identified a large number of loci involved in 8 carcass traits and 6 skeletal traits on chromosome 7,with FKBP5 containing the most significant SV locus for almost all traits. In addition,we found several significant loci in intramuscular fat, abdominal circumference, heart weight, and liver weight, etc. Conclusions We constructed a high-quality SV map using high-coverage sequencing data and then analyzed them by performing GWAS for 25 carcass traits,7 skeletal traits, and 4 meat quality traits to determine that SVs may affect body size between European and Chinese pig breeds. | Wencheng Zong Jinbu Wang Runze Zhao Naiqi Niu Yanfang Su Ziping Hu Xin Liu Xinhua Hou Ligang Wang Lixian Wang Longchao Zhang | 2024 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2024,15,1: | 0
Nanoparticle-enhanced coolants in machining:mechanism, application, and prospects显示文摘Nanoparticle-enhanced coolants(NPECs)are increasingly used in minimum quantity lubrication(MQL)machining as a green lubricant to replace conventional cutting fluids to meet the urgent need for carbon emissions and achieve sustainable manufacturing. However, the thermophysical properties of NPEC during processing remain unclear, making it difficult to provide precise guidance and selection principles for industrial applications. Therefore, this paper reviews the action mechanism, processing properties, and future development directions of NPEC.First, the laws of influence of nano-enhanced phases and base fluids on the processing performance are revealed, and the dispersion stabilization mechanism of NPEC in the preparation process is elaborated. Then, the unique molecular structure and physical properties of NPECs are combined to elucidate their unique mechanisms of heat transfer, penetration, and antifriction effects.Furthermore, the effect of NPECs is investigated on the basis of their excellent lubricating and cooling properties by comprehensively and quantitatively evaluating the material removal characteristics during machining in turning, milling, and grinding applications. Results showed that turning of Ti‒6Al‒4V with multi-walled carbon nanotube NPECs with a volume fraction of 0.2%resulted in a 34%reduction in tool wear,an average decrease in cutting force of 28%,and a 7%decrease in surface roughness Ra,compared with the conventional flood process. Finally, research gaps and future directions for further applications of NPECs in the industry are presented. | Shuguo HU Changhe LI Zongming ZHOU Bo LIU Yanbin ZHANG Min YANG Benkai LI Teng GAO Mingzheng LIU Xin CUI Xiaoming WANG Wenhao XU Y.S.DAMBATTA Runze LI Shubham SHARMA | 2023 | Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2023,18,4: | 0

Microfluidic field strategy for enhancement and scale up of liquid-liquid homogeneous chemical processes by optimization of 3D spiral baffle structure显示文摘Due to the scale effect, the uniform distribution of reagents in continuous flow reactor becomes bad when the channel is enlarged to tens of millimeters. Microfluidic field strategy was proposed to produce high mixing efficiency in large-scale channel. A 3D spiral baffle structure(3SBS) was designed and optimized to form microfluidic field disturbed by continuous secondary flow in millimeter scale Y-shaped tube mixer(YSTM). Enhancement effect of the 3SBS in liquid-liquid homogeneous chemical processes was verified and evaluated through the combination of simulation and experiment. Compared with 1 mm YSTM, 10 mm YSTM with 3SBS increased the treatment capacity by 100 times, shortened the basic complete mixing time by 0.85 times, which proves the potential of microfluidic field strategy in enhancement and scale-up of liquid-liquid homogeneous chemical process. | Shuangfei Zhao Yingying Nie Wenyan Zhang Runze Hu Lianzhu Sheng Wei He Ning Zhu Yuguang Li Dong Ji Kai Guo | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,56,4: | 0
Manganese therapy for dyslipidemia and plaque reversal in murine models显示文摘Precise control of circulating lipid levels is vital in both health and disease. We recently uncovered that bulk lipids, transported by lipoproteins, enter the circulation initially via the coat protein complex II(COPII)in a condensation-dependent manner.Divalent manganese, acting as a signaling messenger, selectively controls COPII condensation to regulate lipid homeostasis in vivo. Here,we present evidence for a manganese-based therapy in murine models of hypolipidemia and hyperlipidemia. | Yawei Wang Xin Feng Wenjing Zhou Runze Huang Yating Hu Hui Hui Jie Tian Xiao Wang Xiao-Wei Chen | 2023 | Life Metabolism2023,2,6: | 0
Thermodynamically controllable synthesis of ZIF-8 exposing different facets and their applications in single atom catalytic oxygen reduction reactions显示文摘The development of thermodynamically controllable synthetic strategy to manipulate the morphology of ZIF-8 without capping agent is essential to help understanding their facet effect and the structure-activity relationship of single atom catalysts derived from ZIF-8.Here,we prepared ZIF-8 with different morphologies(cube, truncated rhombododecahedral and rhombododecahedral)and thus area ratio of exposed{100},{110}facets by a thermodynamically controllable synthetic strategy. When the reaction proceeds under room temperature(30℃),the assembling of ZIF-8 followed an area-reducing layered growth mode, while switched to an integral layered growth mode at lower temperature-40℃.Moreover,this strategy also works to obtain ZIF-8 encapsulated with metal precursors(Fe(acac)_(3),Cu(acac)_(2)and Co(acac)_(2)).Single Fe atom anchored on nitrogen doped carbon catalysts(SA-Fe/CN)derived from Fe-ZIF-8 retain their original morphologies and the unsaturated surface-active sites on{100}facet,which further displays different catalytic performance towards oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).This work not only reveals the different growth pattern of ZIF-8,but also points out a new direction for designing and synthesizing MOFs with different morphology rationally. | Runze Ma Qiheng Li Jun Yan Yu Tao Shouyao Hu Donghao Liu Jiaxin Gong Yu Xiong | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0
Orbital selection of the double [CuO2] layer compound Ca3Cu2O4Cl2显示文摘The discovery of high-temperature copper oxide superconductors(HTS)by Bednorz and Muller[1]in 1986 opened up a new field of superconductivity.Since then, several different families of materials have been discovered with greatly increased superconducting critical temperature(Tc)[2].Oxychloride cuprates,Can+1CunO2wCl2,are one such type of parent compound of high Tc cuprate superconductors. There are two members in this family known so far that can exist at ambient pressure:Ca2CuO2Cl2(single[Cu02]layer CCOC)and Ca3Cu2O4Cl2(double[CuO2]layer CCOC).Both are composed of a[CuO2]plane with the apical oxygen replaced by chlorine atoms. | JianFa Zhao LiPeng Cao WenMin Li Jun Zhang GuangYang Dai Shuang Yu QingQing Liu XianCheng Wang GuoQiang Zhao YaTing Jia Lei Duan YouWen Long Hong-Ji Lin Chien-Te Chen Liu-Hao Tjeng ZhiWei Hu RunZe Yu ChangQing Jin | 2019 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2019,62,10: | 0
