1Effects of flavonoids from Allium mongolicum Regel on growth performance and growth-related hormones in meat sheep显示文摘This study was conducted to investigate the effects of different doses of flavonoids from Allium mongolicum Regel on the production performance and neuroendocrine hormones in meat sheep and to determine the optimum dosage of Allium mongolicum Regel flavonoids to add to the basal diet of dry lotfeeding meat sheep. Sixty meat sheep(initial body weight = 39.9 ± 3.2 kg; 6-month-old) were randomly assigned to 4 groups(15 sheep per group). The sheep in the control group were fed a basal diet, and the 3 experimental groups were fed the basal diet supplemented with flavonoids at 11.22 and 33 mg/kg. Blood samples were collected via the jugular vein at d 0.15, 30, 45, and 60 to determine the neuroendocrine hormone levels. The fasting weight of the sheep was measured during the experimental period, and feed offered and refusals were recorded daily. The basal diet supplemented with flavonoids from 11 to 33 mg/kg significantly increased the daily weight gain and average daily feed intake(P<0.05) and significantly decreased the feed conversion ratio(P<0.05), but there were no differences among the supplementation groups(P>0.05). Starting on d 30, the growth hormone(GH) and insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)levels in the sera of the sheep in the supplementation groups increased significantly(P<0.05), and the increases occurred in a time-dependent manner. Compared with control group, after d 30, the serum corticosterone(CORT) levels were reduced in the sheep that consumed the basal diet supplemented with22 mg/kg flavonoids(P<0.05), but among the other experimental groups, there was a non-significant effect(P>0.05). The serum adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH) levels were increased by the supplementation of flavonoids, but compared with the control group, the effect was not significant. The basal diet supplemented with flavonoids at levels from 11 to 33 mg/kg had a significant effect on the production performance and neuroendocrine hormone levels of meat sheep, and the effect occurred in a time-dependent manner. 2Optimization of air quantity regulation in mine ventilation networks using the improved differential evolution algorithm and critical path method显示文摘In mine ventilation networks, the reasonable airflow distribution is very important for the production safety and economy. Three basic problems of the natural, full-controlled and semi-controlled splitting were reviewed in the paper. Aiming at the high difficulty semi-controlled splitting problem, the general nonlinear multi-objectives optimization mathematical model with constraints was established based on the theory of mine ventilation networks. A new algorithm, which combined the improved differential evaluation and the critical path method(CPM) based on the multivariable separate solution strategy,was put forward to search for the global optimal solution more efficiently. In each step of evolution,the feasible solutions of air quantity distribution are firstly produced by the improved differential evolution algorithm, and then the optimal solutions of regulator pressure drop are obtained by the CPM.Through finite steps iterations, the optimal solution can be given. In this new algorithm, the population of feasible solutions were sorted and grouped for enhancing the global search ability and the individuals in general group were randomly initialized for keeping diversity. Meanwhile, the individual neighborhood in the fine group which may be closely to the optimal solutions were searched locally and slightly for achieving a balance between global searching and local searching, thus improving the convergence rate. The computer program was developed based on this method. Finally, the two ventilation networks with single-fan and multi-fans were solved. The results show that this algorithm has advantages of high effectiveness, fast convergence, good robustness and flexibility. 3The Late Pleistocene activity of the eastern part of east Kunlun fault zone and its tectonic significance显示文摘The nearly EW-trending East Kunlun fault zone is the north boundary of the Bayan Har block.The activity characteristics and the position of the eastern end of its eastward extension are of great significance to probing into the dynamic mechanism of formation of the east edge of the Tibetan Plateau,and also lay the foundation for seismic risk assessment of the fault zone.The following results are obtained by analysis based on satellite image interpretation of landforms,surface rupture survey,terrace scarp deformation survey,and terrace dating data on the eastern part of the East Kunlun fault zone:(1)the Luocha segment is a Holocene active fault,where a reverse L-shape paleoearthquake surface rupture zone of about 50 km long is located;(2)the Luocha segment is characterized by left-lateral slip movement under the compression-shear condition since the later period of the Late Pleistocene,with a rate of 7.68–9.37 mm/a and a vertical slip rate of 0.7–0.9 mm/a,which are basically in accord with the activity rate of segments on its west side.The results indicate that it is a part of eastward extension of the East Kunlun fault zone;(3)the high-speed linear horizontal slip of the nearly EW-trending East Kunlun fault zone is blocked by the South China block at east,and transforms into the vertical movement of the nearly SN-NNE trending Minjiang fault zone and the Longmenshan fault zone,and the uplift of Longmenshan and Minjiang.The area where transform of the two tectonic systems occurred confines the position of the east end;(4)Luocha segment and Maqu segment constitute the'Maqu seismic gap',so,seismic risk at Maqu segment is higher than that at Luocha segment,which should attract more attention.ZHANG JunLong REN JinWei CHEN ChangYun FU JunDong YANG PanXin XIONG RenWei HU ChaoZhong 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,3:8

5Influence of TiB2 particles on machinability and machining parameter optimization of TiB2/Al MMCs显示文摘In situ formed TiB_2 particle reinforced aluminum matrix composites(TiB_2/Al MMCs)have some extraordinary properties which make them be a promising material for high performance aero-engine blade.Due to the influence of TiB_2 particles, the machinability is still a problem which restricts the application of TiB_2/Al MMCs.In order to meet the industrial requirements, the influence of TiB_2 particles on the machinability of TiB_2/Al MMCs was investigated experimentally.Moreover, the optimal machining conditions for this kind of MMCs were investigated in this study.The major conclusions are:(1) the machining force of TiB_2/Al MMCs is bigger than that of nonreinforced alloy and mainly controlled by feed rate;(2) the residual stress of TiB_2/Al MMCs is compressive while that of non-reinforced alloy is nearly neutral;(3) the surface roughness of TiB_2/Al MMCs is smaller than that of non-reinforced alloy under the same cutting speed, but reverse result was observed when the feed rate increased;(4) a multi-objective optimization model for surface roughness and material removal rate(MRR) was established, and a set of optimal parameter combinations of the machining was obtained.The results show a great difference from Si C particle reinforced MMCs and provide a useful guide for a better control of machining process of this material.Ruisong JIANG Xinfa CHEN Renwei GE Wenhu WANG Guodong SONG 2018Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,1:3
6Hierarchical recognition on the taxonomy of Nitzschia closterium f. minutissima显示文摘Nitzschia closterium f. minutissima, a marine eukaryotic unicellular diatom, originally classified as Bacillariophyta/Bacillariophyceae/Bacillariales/Bacillariaceae/Nitzschia, is one of the most important feed sources in mariculture. In this study, its morphological features were examined under DIC Microscopy (differential interference contrast microscope); its pigments and fatty acids composition were analyzed by using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC); the complete Actin cDNA, part 18S rDNA, complete ITS1 and ITS2 sequences, part 28S rDNA se- quences, and a putatively encoding ?5 fatty acid desaturase gene were cloned respectively and further functioned in transgenic yeast. The sequence alignments were separately conducted using the related sequences from Nitzschia closterium f. minutissima, Cylindrotheca closterium (Bacillariophyta/Baci- llariales/Bacillariaceae/Cylindrotheca) and Phaeodactylum tricornutum (Naviculales) with ClustalX 1.83. No distinct difference was discovered between N. closterium f. minutissima and P. tricornutum in both biochemical and molecular level. Their identity was more than 99.6% among 18S rDNA, 5.8S rDNA and actin-gene sequences, and is up to 98.6% even among ITS1 and ITS2 sequences. Their ?5 desaturase similarity was 99.4%. However, the lower similarity was disclosured between N. closterium f. minutis- sima and Cylindrotheca closterium, which shared less than 40% identity in the ITS1 and ITS2 se- quences. 7Surface Rupture and Coseismic Displacement of the M_S7.1 Yushu Earthquake显示文摘On April 14,2010,a devastating earthquake measured 7.1 on the Richter scale struck Yushu county,Qinghai Province,China.Field geological investigation and remote sensing interpretation show that this earthquake generated an inverse 'L-shaped' surface rupture zone,approximately 50km long.The surface rupture zone can be divided into three segments.Between the northern and middle segments of the surface rupture,there is a 16km-long segment,where no rupture was observed.The middle and the southern segments are arranged in a left-step manner,and there are right-step en echelon ruptures developed in the stepovers.The seismogenic structure is the Yushu fault,which is dominated by strike-slip with a small amount of thrust component.The earthquake results from the differential movements between the southern Qiangtang Block and northern Bayan Har Block.The earthquake recurrence interval is 185a^108a.Along an approximately 20km-long part of the Garzê-Yushu fault,between the southern surface rupture of Yushu MS7.1 earthquake and the 1896 earthquake,there is no surface rupture,its seismic risk needs further research.Zhang Junlong Chen Changyun Hu Chaozhong Yang Panxin Xiong Renwei Li Zhimin Ren Jinwei 2011Earthquake Research in China2011,25,2:2

18Characteristics of Late Quaternary Activity of the Gadê Segment in the Madoi-Gadê Fault Zone显示文摘Madoi-Gadê fault is an active fault in the Bayan Har block.According to field investigation,there is an earthquake surface rupture fairly well preserved on the Gadê segment of the Madoi-Gadê fault zone.The length of the rupture is approximately 50km,with a general strike of NW.The maximum horizontal sinistral displacement is about 7.6m and the maximum vertical displacement is about 4m.A large number of earthquake traces are to be found along the rupture zone,and the phenomena on the surface rupture are also various.Field investigation and analysis on the geological and geomorphological phenomena show that the formation age of the surface rupture is relatively young.A series of linear arranged,triangular facets,fault scarps,fault springs,dislocated gullies,twisted mountain ridges,sag-ponds,dislocated ridges,etc.exist along the fault.Based on the analysis of field investigation and the data available,we believe that the surface rupture is due to a strong earthquake in the history of this area.And it is inferred that the Madoi-Gadê fault within the Bayan Har block has been highly active since Late Quaternary and may still be active nowadays.Xiong Renwei Ren Jinwei Zhang Junlong Yang Panxin Li Zhimin Hu Chaozhong Chen Changyun 2011Earthquake Research in China2011,25,2:0
19Microseismic Concentration Zones before and after the February 12,2014 M_S 7.3 Yutian Earthquake and the Possible Indication of an Earthquake Risk Zone显示文摘Since 2001, there have occurred in succession the 2001 Kunlun Mountains M S8. 1earthquake,the 2008 Wenchuan M S8. 0 earthquake,the 2010 Yushu M S7. 1 earthquake and the 2012 Lushan M S7. 0 earthquake in the periphery of the Bayan Har block. By comparison of the characteristics of seismic strain release variations before and after the Kunlun Mountains M S8. 1 earthquake in the same time length in the geodynamical related regions,we found that the seismic strain release was obviously enhanced after the earthquake in the Longmenshan area,Batang area,and the NS-trending valleys at the west of the Hot Spring Basin. The Wenchuan earthquake occurred in the first area,and the Yushu earthquake is related to the second area. After the earthquake rupture occurred on the East Kunlun fault zone on the northern boundary of the Bayan Har Block,crustal materials on the south side of the fault zone migrated to the southeast,leading to a concentration of tectonic deformation in the Longmenshan thrust belt, e ventually rupturing on the Longmenshan thrust belt. This earthquake case illustrates that seismicity enhancement zones are possibly prone to long-term destructive earthquakes.
