1Influence of the roughness and shape of quartz particles on their flotation kinetics显示文摘Surface roughness and shape play an important role on the behavior of particles in various processes such as flotation. In this re-search, the influence of different grinding methods on the surface roughness and shape characteristics of quartz particles as well as the effect of these parameters on the flotation of the particles was investigated. The surface roughness of the particles was determined by measuring their specific surface area via the gas adsorption method. The shape characteristics of the particles were measured and calculated by images obtained by scanning electron microscopy via an image analysis system. The flotation kinetics was determined using a laboratory flotation cell. The results showed that the particles of rod mill products have higher roughness and elongation ratio and lower roundness than the parti-cles of ball mill products. The flotation kinetics constant of the particles increased with their surface roughness increasing. Particles with higher elongation and lower roundness indicated higher floatability. 2碳酸钠和氯化钙对软锰矿阳离子浮选中方解石的抑制作用(英文)显示文摘在软锰矿阳离子浮选中添加十二胺,采用浮选实验、红外光谱分析、接触角测量和zeta电位测试等手段研究碳酸钠和氯化钙对方解石矿物的抑制作用。微浮选实验结果表明,这两种抑制剂都能明显地抑制方解石的浮选。而且,碳酸钠作为活化剂,能增加软锰矿的浮选性能。浮选实验和接触角测试结果表明,碳酸钠对方解石的选择性抑制作用要比氯化钙强。Zeta电位和红外光谱分析表明,碳酸钠减少了方解石矿物表面所带的负电荷,从而减少了十二胺在其表面的静电吸附。在pH=7.5,添加2000 g/t十二胺和1500 g/t碳酸钠的浮选条件下,可得到含40%MnO的软锰矿精矿,回收率达71.5%。Shima RAHIMI Mehdi IRANNAJAD Akbar MEHDILO 2017Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2017,27,8:2

7Dynamic simulation of pilot thickener operation using phenomenological model with results validation for continuous and discontinuous tests显示文摘The phenomenological theory of sedimentation-thickening processes predicts the settling behavior of a flocculated suspension in dependence of two functions, the batch flux density function and the effective solid stress. These functions were determined using batch settling tests. The governing equations for sedimentation were then solved numerically for these functions and the predictions were compared to the experimental results from pilot scale thickener tests. Firstly, the continuous tests were performed in the plexiglass pilot thickener at different feed flow rates and discharge rates and the solid volume fraction of discharge, the bed height and the time were recorded for each condition. These tests were also simulated and it was observed that there is a good agreement between the results of continuous tests and the results of dynamic simulation. Secondly, the discontinuous tests were performed in the plexiglass pilot thickener at different feed flow rates with a discharge rate of zero. The bed formation rate was determined for each condition. 8Efficacy and safety of Hemoheal cream in patients with hemorrhoids:a randomized double-blind placebo controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Hemoheal cream,an anti-hemorrhoid herbal preparation,(inspired by Persian medicine literatures in a double-blind,randomized placebo-controlled trial.METHODS:Hemoheal cream consists of aqueous extract of Allium ampeloprasum L.,Commiphora mukul(Hook.Ex Stocks)Engl and the oil of Sesamum indicum L.Fifty-two patients with symptomatic hemorrhoids were randomized to receive hemoheal cream or placebo for 3 weeks.The patients were evaluated before and after the intervention in terms of the severity of anal irritation,bleeding,anal itching,pain,defecation discomfort and swelling sense,and overall subjective improvement(%),as well as any reported adverse events.RESULTS:The results showed that after 3 weeks of treatment,distribution of anal irritation,bleeding,pain as well as swelling sense were significantly different(P<0.05),while the analysis showed no significant differences between two groups for anal itching and defecation discomfort(P>0.05).Furthermore,a significant difference was observed between the overall subjective improvement of Hemoheal cream and placebo groups(P=0.012).One patient in the treatment group complained of rashes on the application site.CONCLUSION:The present study showed a positive effect of Hemoheal cream in improving clinical signs and symptoms in patients with hemorrhoids.Mehdi Zobeiri Fatemeh Parvizi Roja Rahimi Fatemeh Heydarpour Hamid Reza Sheikhan Jafar Navabi Mohammad Hosein Farzaei 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,2:0
9The occurrence,fate,and distribution of natural and synthetic hormones in different types of wastewater treatment plants in Iran显示文摘Over the past few years, the presence of steroid estrogens in the environment has become a major concern. In this study, the concentrations of estrone(E1), 17β-estradiol(E2), and 17α-ethinyl estradiol(EE2) were measured in some wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs) in Iran. These samples were collected from the municipal, rural,livestock, commercial, and hospital WWTPs, extracted by dispersive liquid–liquid micro extraction(DLLME)technique, derivatized, and detected by GC/MS. In these treatment plants, various processes including conventional activated sludge(CAS), aerated lagoon(AL), moving bed biofilm reactor(MBBR), and activated sludge with wetland(AS + WL) are used. The highest concentration of hormones was observed in the influents and effluents of livestock, municipal, commercial, and hospital WWTPs, respectively. The maximum elimination rate was obtained in MBBR followed by AS + WL, CAS and AL. 11Inhibition of asphaltene deposition by Al_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles during CO_(2) injection显示文摘Carbon dioxide flooding is of interest due to its high oil-sweep efficiency for enhanced oil recovery and contribution to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.However,when CO_(2)is injected into deep geological strata,asphaltene may precipitate.In this work,the effect of Al2O3 nanoparticles on the deposition of asphaltene was examined by assessing the variations of bond number and interfacial tension at different pressures and a temperature of 6℃.The asphaltene onset point and intensity were characterized using the bond number,which proved a better indicator of changes in oil droplet shape and interfacial tension with gravity.Synthesized mixtures of toluene and n-heptane that contained two different kinds of asphaltenes were used as M and D oil samples.A 0.06 mass%addition of Al_(2)O_(3) nanoparticles,which worked best for reduction of interfacial tension,was also applied at various pres-sures.Addition of nanoparticles to the oils prevented asphaltene precipitation in both synthetic samples by altering the slope of the plot of interfacial tension with pressure by 49.7% for the M sample and 9.0%for the D sample.The Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles were found to be more effective at inhibiting asphaltene precipitation for the M oil sample due to its lower H/C ratio and higher nitrogen content.Ali Amraeiniya Alireza Rahimi Nadia Nikpour Siamand Salimi Baneh Farid Arabzadeh Mehdi Razavifar 2023Petroleum Research2023,8,4:0
12Dynamic simulation of the effect of time-dependent variation of pH on response variable of the tailing thickener of coal washing plant显示文摘Dynamic simulation approach can be used for understanding the nonlinear behavior in mineral processing circuits. In this study, the gel point, the main parameters of batch flux density function and the main parameters of effective solid stress were determined at different conditions (pH, flocculant dosage and particle size). Therefore, the main parameters of phenome no logical model of sedimentation and thickening were determined as a functio n of particle size, pH and flocculant dosages using the result of experimental tests and Curve expert professional software. Then, the dynamic simulation was carried out for the industrial thickener of coal washing plant and the time-dependent variation of response variables was investigated by time-dependent variation of pH of input feed to thickener using the obtained equations. 13Gelatin-based hydrogel functionalized with taurinemoieties for in vivo skin tissue regeneration显示文摘Functionalized hydrogels stimulate the migration and morphogenesis of endothelial cells(ECs)and are useful substrates for wound healing.The present study investigates the feasibility of covalent conjugation of taurine(Tau)on a gelatin-based hydrogel.This hydrogel is expected to maintain positive charged growth factors such as basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)and vascular endothelial growth factors(VEGFs)near ECs within the hydrogel microenvironment.The gelatin was conjugated with hydroxyl phenol(Ph)and Tau moieties,and in following that Ph residues were crosslinked through a horseradish peroxidase-catalyzed reaction.The migration characteristics of ECs were analyzed by scratch migration assay and microparticle-based cell migration assay.Cellular morphology and amounts of angiopoietin 1(Ang 1),bFGF,and VEGF proteins were evaluated for encapsulated cells.The potential of synthesized hydrogels in wound healing was assessed by the percentage of reduction from the original wound size and histopathological analyses of rat skin.The incorporated Tau molecules within the hydrogel remained stable through covalent bonds during incubation.During extended incubation,the gelatin-based hydrogel conjugated with Tau improved the migration distance and number of existing migrated ECs.Immobilized Tau within the gelatin-based hydrogel induced high motility of ECs,accompanied by robust cytoskeleton extension and a cell subpopulation that expressed CD44 and CD31 receptors as well as enhancement of Ang 1,bFGF,and VEGF.We found that injectable Gel-Ph-Tau effectively improves wound-healing parameters.Farnaz Rahimi Nima Ahmadkhani Aida Goodarzi Fariba Noori Sajad Hassanzadeh Sepideh Saghati Mehdi Khanmohammadi Arash Goodarzi 2023Bio-Design and Manufacturing2023,6,3:0
14Survey on cattle ticks in Nur,north of Iran显示文摘Objective:To survey the prevalence of cattle ticks in Nur County and prepare a list of tick fauna in this district.Methods:This investigation was carried out on 150 head of cattle ticks of rural areas of Nur city which is located in Mazandaran province during spring and summer seasons of 2011.The collected ticks were identified using light microscope and available systematic keys.Results:A total number of 1563 ticks were isolated from examined cattle and their genus and numbers including:lxodes ricinus 51%(111 male and 691 female)and Boophilus annulatus 49%(83male and 678 female),respectively.Conclusions:Results of the current investigation indicate the presence of two species of acarine ectoparasites which have potential health risk lxodes ricinus and Boophilus annulatus.More studies are required to increase our data concerning ticks and other ectopreasites of ruminants in other areas of Mazandaran province and should be noted to their ability in transmission of infectious agents.Ashkan Ghasemi Moghaddam Mozafar Razavi Seyed Mehrshad Rasouli Sajad Hosseinzade Mohammad Mehdi Darvishi Arash Rakhshanpour Mohammad Taghi Rahimi 2014Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014,4,3:0
