1Effect of contrast-enhanced ultrasound on differential diagnosis of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and arterial phase enhanced hepatic inflammatory lesions显示文摘Objective: To investigate differential diagnosis between intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC) and arterial phase enhanced hepatic inflammatory lesions in patients without liver cirrhosis using contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS).Methods: ICC and hepatic inflammatory lesions cases with CEUS and pathological diagnosis between Sep 2013 and Oct 2016 were investigated retrospectively. Imaging features of conventional ultrasound and CEUS were analyzed. The parameters of time intensity curve(TIC), including the arrival time, peak intensity(PI) in the lesions, the starting time for washout, and the intensity difference at 3 min(ΔI_3) after contrast agent infection between the lesion and the liver parenchyma, were compared between ICC and hepatic inflammatory lesions.Results: Twenty-five ICC and fifteen inflammatory patients were included in this study. Seventeen ICC(68.0%)and two inflammatory cases(13.3%) showed bile duct dilatation on conventional ultrasound. Using CEUS, three ICC cases(12.0%) were misdiagnosed as inflammatory lesions and three inflammatory lesions(20.0%) as ICC; two ICC(8.0%) and one inflammatory case(6.7%) could not be made definite diagnosis. Washout started at 34.5±3.5 s and 61.5±12.9 s for ICC and inflammatory lesions respectively(P<0.001). The intensity difference between lesion and liver parenchyma at 3 min after contrast agent injection was 10.8±3.1 dB in ICC and 4.2±2.3 dB in inflammatory group(P<0.001). The sensitivity and specificity differentiating ICC and inflammatory lesions were76% and 87% if the cut-off value of the intensity difference was 7.7 d B.Conclusions: Combined with TIC analysis, and particularly with the characteristic of the early-starting and obvious washout in ICC, CEUS can be useful in differential diagnosis between hepatic inflammatory lesions and ICC.Shanshan Yin Qiuli Cui Kun Yan Wei Yang Wei Wu Liping Bao Minhua Chen 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2017,29,3:13
2Analysis of entropies based on empirical mode decomposition in amnesic mild cognitive impairment of diabetes mellitus显示文摘EEG characteristics that correlate with the cognitive functions are important in detecting mild cognitive impairment(MCI)in T2DM.To investigate the complexity between aMCI group and age-matched non-aMCI control group in T2DM,six entropies combining empirical mode decomposition(EMD),including Approximate entropy(ApEn),Sample entropy(SaEn),Fuzzy entropy(FEn),Permutation entropy(PEn),Power spectrum entropy(PsEn)and Wavelet entropy(WEn)were used in the study.A feature extraction technique based on maximization of the area under the curve(AUC)and a support vector machine(SVM)were subsequently used to for features selection and classi¯cation.Finally,Pearson's linear correlation was employed to study associations between these entropies and cognitive functions.Compared to other entropies,FEn had a higher classification accuracy,sensitivity and specificity of 68%,67.1% and 71.9%,respectively.Top 43 salient features achieved classification accuracy,sensitivity and speci¯city of 73.8%,72.3% and 77.9%,respectively.P4,T4 and C4 were the highest ranking salient electrodes.Correlation analysis showed that FEn based on EMD was positively correlated to memory at electrodes F7,F8 and P4,and PsEn based on EMD was positively correlated to Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)and memory at electrode T4.In sum,FEn based on EMD in righttemporal and occipital regions may be more suitable for early diagnosis of the MCI with T2DM.Dong Cui Jinhuan Wang Zhijie Bian Qiuli Li Lei Wang Xiaoli Li 2015Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2015,8,5:0
3In-situ hydrocarbon formation and accumulation mechanisms of micro- and nano-scale pore-fracture in Gulong shale, Songliao Basin, NE China显示文摘By conducting experimental analyses, including thermal pyrolysis, micro-/nano-CT, argon-ion polishing field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM), and two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (2D NMR), the Gulong shale oil in the Songliao Basin was investigated with respect to formation model, pore structure and accumulation mechanism. First, in the Gulong shale, there are a large number of pico-algae, nano-algae and dinoflagellates, which were formed in brackish water environment and constituted the hydrogen-rich oil source materials of shale. Second, most of the oil-generating materials of the Qingshankou Formation shale exist in the form of organo-clay complex. During organic matter thermal evolution, clay minerals had double effects of suppression and catalytic hydrogenation, which expanded shale oil window and increased light hydrocarbon yield. Third, the formation of storage space in the Gulong Shale was related to dissolution and hydrocarbon generation. With the diagenesis, micro-/nano-pores increased, pore diameter decreased and more bedding fractures appeared, which jointly gave rise to the unique reservoir with dual media (i.e. nano-scale pores and micro-scale bedding fractures) in the Gulong shale. Fourth, the micro-/nano-scale oil storage unit in the Gulong shale exhibits independent oil/gas occurrence phase, and shows that all-size pores contain oils, which occur in condensate state in micropores or in oil-gas two phase (or liquid) state in macropores/mesopores.
