| 1 | In vivo effects of Chinese herbal recipe, Danshaohuaxian, on apoptosis and proliferation of hepatic stellate cells in hepatic fibrotic rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effects of Danshaohuaxian (DSHX),a Chinese herbal recipe, on the apoptosis and cell cycles of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) in rat hepatic fibrosis and its possible mechanisms. METHODS: Seventy-six male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group, hepatic fibrosis group,non-DSHX-treated group and DSHX-treated group. Except for the normal control group, rat hepatic fibrotic models were induced by subcutaneous injection of carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), drinking alcohol, giving diet of hyperlipid and hypoprotein for 8 wk. When the hepatic fibrotic models were produced, 12 rats of hepatic fibrosis group (15 rats survived, others died during the 8 wk) were sacrificed to collect blood and livers. HSCs were isolated from the other 3 rats to detect the apoptotic index (AI) and cell cycles by flow cytometry. DSHX was then given to the DSHX-treated group (1.0 g/kg, PO daily) for 8 wk. At the same time, normal control group and non-DSHX-treated group were given normal saline for 8 wk. At end of the experiment, some rats in these three groups were sacrificed to collect blood and livers, the other rats were used for HSC isolation to detect the apoptotic index (AI) and cell cycles. Then the liver index, serum hyaluronic acid (HA) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT),degree of hepatic fibrosis, urinary excretion of hydroxyproline (Hyp) and expression of collagen types Ⅰ and Ⅲ (COL Ⅰ and Ⅲ) in these four groups were detected respectively.RESULTS: Compared with the indexes of the hepatic fibrosis group and non-DSHX-treated group, the DSHX-treated group revealed a liver index of (0.0267±0.0017 vs 0.0423±0.0044, 0.0295±0.0019, P<0.05), levels of serum HA (200.78±31.71 vs316.17±78.48, 300.86±72.73, P<0.05)and ALT(93.13±5.79 vs 174.5±6.02, 104.75±6.54, P<0.01),and stage of hepatic fibrosis (1.30 vs 4.25, 2.60, P<0.01)all reduced. The urinary excretion of Hyp increased (541.09±73.39 vs 62.00±6.40, 182.44±30.83, P<0.01),the COL Ⅰ and Ⅲ expression decreased (COL Ⅰ: 1.07±0.96 vs4.18±2.26, 3.22±1.44, P<0.01; COL Ⅲ: 1.09±0.58 vs 3.04±0.62, 2.23±0.58, P<0.01), the HSCs apoptotic index of HSCs (7.81±0.47 vs 1.63±0.25, 1.78±0.4, P<0.05) and the ratio of G0-G1 phase cells increased (94.30±1.33 vs 62.27±17.96, 50.53±2.25, P<0.05). | 2 | A method for weighing broiler chickens using improved amplitude-limiting filtering algorithm and BP neural networks显示文摘Broiler chickens are traditionally weighed by steelyard or platform scale,which is timeconsuming and labor-intensive.Broiler chickens usually exhibit stress-related behavior during weighing.The 3D camera-based weighing system for broiler chickens can only weigh the broiler chicken in the monitoring area.Usually,it makes poor weight prediction due to poor segmentation especially when the broiler chicken is flapping its wings.To solve these issues,we developed one simple and low-cost weighing system with high stability and accuracy.A validity value extraction method from dynamic weighing was proposed.Then,an improved amplitude-limiting filtering algorithm and a BP neural networks model were developed to avoid accidental interference.The BP neural networks model used daily weight gain,day-age,average velocity,and the weight data after filtering algorithm as the input layer.The weighing system was tested in a commercial Beijing Fatty Chickens house with Beijing Fatty Chickens.We tested thirteen groups of Beijing Fatty Chickens of different weights,from 500 g to 1800 g in intervals of 100 g,using the three different methods:no filtering algorithm or BP neural networks,only the improved amplitude-limiting filtering algorithm and a hybrid of the improved amplitude-limiting filtering algorithm and BP neural networks.The results showed that the hybrid algorithm had a better performance in minimizing the error,lowering from the original 6%down to 3%.The accurate weight data was transmitted to the remote service platform for further decision-making,such as activity analysis,feeding management,and health alerts. | Weihong Ma Qifeng Li Jiawei Li Luyu Ding Qinyang Yu | 2021 | Information Processing in Agriculture2021,8,2: | 5 |
| 3 | Dynamic distribution of Ser-10 phosphorylated histone H3 in cytoplasm of MCF-7 and CHO cells during mitosis显示文摘The dynamic distribution of phosphorylated Histone H3 on Ser10 (phospho-H3) in cells was investigated to determineits function during mitosis. Human breast adenocarcinoma cells MCF-7, and Chinese hamster cells CHO were analyzedby indirect immunofluorescence staining with an antibody against phospho-H3. We found that the phosphorylationbegins at early prophase, and spreads throughout the chromosomes at late prophase. At metaphase, most of the phospho-H3 aggregates at the end of the condensed entity of chromosomes at equatorial plate. During anaphase and telophase,the fluorescent signal of phospho-H3 is detached from chromosomes into cytoplasm. At early anaphase, phospho-H3shows ladder bands between two sets of separated chromosome, and forms “sandwich-like structure” when the chro-mosomes condensed. With the cleavage progressing, the “ladders” of the histone contract into a bigger bright dot. Thenthe histone aggregates and some of compacted microtubules in the midbody region are composed into a “bar-like”complex to separate daughter cells. The daughter cells seal their plasma membrane along with the ends of the “bar”,inside which locates microtubules and modified histones, to finish the cytokinesis and keep the “bar complex” out of thecells. | 16 | Synthesis and optical properties of novel double perovskite Ca_(2)MgTeO_(6):Dy^(3+),Na^(+) phosphors for white LEDs显示文摘Novel yellow-emitting phosphors of Dy^(3+)-doped double perovskite Ca_(2)MgTeO_(6) were synthesized by using a conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction.The phase purity,particle morphology,size distribution,elemental composition,luminescence properties,and luminescence decay curves of the resulting products were then analyzed in detail.The Ca_(2)MgTeO_(6):Dy^(3+),Na^(+) phosphors show three emission peaks after near-ultraviolet excitation at 350 nm,which correspond to ^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(11/2),^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2),and ^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2) transitions,respectively.Among them,the strongest peak is observed at 573 nm.The best doping content of Dy^(3+)in Ca_(2)MgTeO_(6):xDy^(3+),xNa^(+) phosphors is x=5 mol%.The calculated critical distance of energy transfer between Dy^(3+) ions is 1.6 nm.Luminescence quenching is confirmed to be due to dipole-dipole interactions among Dy^(3+) ions.The phosphors show excellent thermal stability with high activation energy(0.27 eV).The Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage(CIE) chromaticity coordinates of the Ca_(2)MgTeO_(6) Dy^(3+),Na^(+) phosphors are located in the yellow region.White light-emitting diodes(w-LEDs) were fabricated with a high color rendering index(R_(a)) of 88 and a good correlated color temperature(CCT) of 5440 K.All observed properties indicate that Ca_(2)MgTeO_(6):Dy^(3+),Na^(+) phosphors have potential applications in display and photonic devices. | Junzhi Che Bin Deng Qinyang Song Jianxu Wang Tao Wang Shoucheng Zhao Ruijin Yu | 2021 | Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,6: | 1 |

| 20 | Toughening effects of Mo and Nb addition on impact toughness and crack resistance of titanium alloys显示文摘Ti-6Al,Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb alloys were prepared to investigate the toughening effects ofβstabilizers Mo and Nb on impact toughness and crack resistance of titanium alloys.Instrumented Charpy impact tests showed that the total impact absorbed energy of Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb(∼64 J)were two times higher than that of Ti-6Al(∼30 J),indicating the higher impact toughness of Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb alloys.Analysis of load-displacement curves revealed the similar crack initiation energy of Ti-6Al,Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb(15.4 J,16.1 J and 15.0 J,respectively).However,the higher crack propagation energy of Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb(46.7 J and 48.3 J,respectively)were about three times higher than that of Ti-6Al(14.4 J),indicating the stronger resistance to crack propagation in Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb.Post-mortem analysis of impact samples demonstrated that the increased dislocation density and deformation twinning were mainly responsible for the stronger resistance to crack propagation in Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb.Due to the invisibility of dislocation activation and deformation twinning during the Charpy impact process,a mathematical model has been proposed to evaluate the effects of Al,Mo and Nb elements on dislocation mobility based on the Yu Rui-huang electron theory.Addition of Mo and Nb elements significantly improved the dislocation mobility in Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb compared to that in Ti-6Al alloy.Therefore,more dislocations were activated in Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb which supplied the larger plastic deformation under impact loading.A dislocation-based model also has been proposed to interpret the nucleation and propagation of deformation twinning under the impact loading.Dislocation pileup atα/βinterfaces provided potential sites for nucleation of deformation twinning in Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb.Furthermore,deformation twinning facilitated the dislocation motion inαgrains with hard orientations.The increased dislocation mobility and deformation twinning were responsible for the stronger crack resistance as well as the higher impact toughness of Ti-6Al-2Mo and Ti-6Al-3Nb alloys. | Shixing Huang Qinyang Zhao Yongqing Zhao Cheng Lin Cong Wu Weiju Jia Chengliang Mao Vincent Ji | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,20: | 0 |
