| 3 | Improved root zone temperature buffer capacity enhancing sweet pepper yield via soil-ridged substrate-embedded cultivation in solar greenhouse显示文摘A novel soilless cultivation method,called as soil-ridged substrate-embedded cultivation(SSC)was invented,and an experiment was designed to investigate root zone temperature and production efficiency of sweet pepper cultivated by two SSC patterns,i.e.,SSC-P(polyethylene groove inserted)and SSC-W(wire-mesh groove inserted),and also other two cultivation methods,i.e.,soil ridge(SR)and naked polyethylene groove(PG).Results showed that PG,SSC-P and SSC-W increased the average minimal root zone temperature by 1.01℃,0.75℃,and 1.16℃ compared to SR(16.33℃)during March 16-20,2015.During June 1-5,SSC-P and SSC-W decreased the average maximal root zone temperature by 1.28℃ and 1.29℃ compared to SR(34.99℃),while PG increased it by 1.44℃.PG,SSC-P,and SSC-W decreased the differences of average daytime and night time temperatures by 1.34℃,2.13℃,and 2.88℃ compared to SR(4.56℃)during early stage.However,SSC-P and SSC-W decreased temperature differences of average daytime and night time by 0.9℃ and 1.07℃ compared to SR(0.95℃)during later stage,but PG improved by 2.85℃.Temperature difference of daytime and night time of SSC-W was minimal,and the temperature difference between the diurnal highest and the lowest temperature of SSC-W was also minimal.The buffer capacity of SSC-W was slightly better than that of SSC-P.SSC-W significantly improved the growth of sweet pepper compared to SR.Similarly,fruit yield per square meter of sweet pepper cultivated on SSC-P and SSC-W improved by 21.24%and 50.33%,respectively compared to SR(3.06 kg/m^(2)),while PG lowered the yield by 13.72%.SSC-W was a better SSC pattern compared with SSC-P in terms of production efficiency. | Guohai Fu Zonggeng Li Wenke Liu Qichang Yang | 2018 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2018,11,2: | 4 |

| 5 | In-plane dynamics of a fluid-conveying corrugated pipe supported at both ends显示文摘The dynamics and stability of fluid-conveying corrugated pipes are investigated. The flow velocity is assumed to harmonically vary along the pipe rather than with time. The dimensionless equation is discretized with the differential quadrature method (DQM). Subsequently, the effects of the mean flow velocity and two key parameters of the corrugated pipe, i.e., the amplitude of the corrugations and the total number of the corrugations, are studied. The results show that the corrugated pipe will lose stability by flutter even if it has been supported at both ends. When the total number of the corrugations is sufficient, this flutter instability occurs at a micro flow velocity. These phenomena are verified via the Runge-Kutta method. The critical flow velocity of divergence is analyzed in detail. Compared with uniform pipes, the critical velocity will be reduced due to the corrugations, thus accelerating the divergence instability. Specifically, the critical flow velocity decreases if the amplitude of the corrugations increases. However, the critical flow velocity cannot be monotonously reduced with the increase in the total number of the corrugations. | 9 | 肝细胞肝癌自发破裂出血:87例回顾性分析(英文)显示文摘Objective: The aim of the study was to review the management of ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in a single teaching hospital over 13-year period; to determine the prognostic factor of in-hospital mortality and evaluate the safety and efficacy of liver resection. Methods: A retrospective collection of medical records of 87 patients with spontaneous ruptured HCC was carried out. The 28 patients underwent emergency intervention including transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and laparotomy with/without liver resection. Conservative treatment was performed in 59 patients and 16 of which underwent delayed hepatectomy or TACE. Results: The overall in-hospital mortality and median survival time was 54% and 22 days respectively. Albumin level (OR = 0.874, 95% CI: 0.778-0.973, P = 0.024), number of tumors (OR = 5.011, 95% CI: 1.015-24.750, P = 0.048) and laparotomy (OR = 0.069, 95% CI: 0.012-0.406, P = 0.003) were all independent factors affecting overall in-hospital mortality, but for patients undergone laparotomy, only total bilirubin level (OR = 1.138, 95% CI: 1.024-1.264, P = 0.016) was independent factor affecting overall in-hospital mortality. Age, total bilirubin level, maximum tumor size, number of tumors, portal vein tumor thrombosis and extra-hepatic metastasis were all significantly different between groups with laparotomy and without. There were no significant differences between emergency and delayed liver resection groups in in-hospital mortality (0 vs. 0), median survival time (788 vs. 750 days respectively) as well as 1-year and 3-year survival rates (66.7%, 44.4% vs. 70%, 30%, respectively) (P = 0.763, log-rank test). Conclusion: Both underlying chronic liver disease and tumor stage can affect the in-hospital mortality, but for patients undergone laparotomy, only total bilirubin level is independent factor. Surgeons are more prone to choose patients with younger age, better liver function and earlier tumor stage to do surgery. During the process of its automatic production,machine vision plays a significant role. This technique almost covers every production linkfrom raising seedlings, transplanting, management, and harvesting to fruit grading. To provide references and a starting point for those who are committed to studying this issue. Inthis paper, the application prospects of machine vision in plant factories were analyzed,and the present researches were summarized from the fields of plant growth monitoring,robot operation assistance, and fruit grading. The results found that although the existingmethods have solved some practical problems at low cost, high efficiency and precision,some challenges still are faced by machine vision. Firstly, the changing lighting, complexbackgrounds, and color similarity within plant different parts cause the commonly usedimage segmentation algorithms to fail. The shortage of standard agricultural datasets alsokeeps deep learning and unsupervised classification algorithms from making progress.Secondly, there are some theoretical knowledge gaps for machine vision application in aparticular environment of plant factories, which seriously contains its application effect.Thirdly, the lack of special image acquisition devices and supporting facilities resulted inpoor image quality. All these factors hinder machine vision application in plant factories.Nevertheless, it is still a powerful tool and irreplaceable at present. | 11 | The Effects of Cholecystojejunostomy and Biliary Drainage on Biliary Motor显示文摘Summary: Simulating physiological neuronal and hormonal conditions during digestive and interdigestive periods, the study identified the changes of the motility of biliary system including bile duct and sphincter of Oddi (SO) before and after cholecystojejunostomy. Thirty-five rabbits were divided into five groups randomly. The experimental groups received the venous injection of CCK 10 ng/kg, erythromycin 10 mg/kg, atropine 3 μg/kg and L-NAME 10 mg/kg respectively. Each rabbit underwent manometry through introducing a three-lumen catheter via the papilla retrogradely, using the low-compliance papillary infusion system. Then the gallbladder and the upper segment of the jejunum was anastomosed and the manometric procedures repeated after one week. SO basal pressure was increased, contraction amplitude decreased, contraction time shortened after cholecystojejunostomy. L-NAME, CCK and erythromycin could all excite SO. L-NAME could increase basal pressure and contraction amplitude, CCK increase basal pressure contraction amplitude and frequency, and erythromycin increase contraction amplitude, respectively. But comparing with that before cholecystojejunostomy, the increasing extent was decreased. The tensional and spontaneous contractions of the SO were under the control of the neural and hormonal mechanism. The anastomosis of gallbladder and jejunum and the drainage of bile made the tensional contraction stronger, but the spontaneous contraction weakened after the operation due to the decreases of the sensitivity of SO to hormonal factors. Methods: Endothelial cells were obtained using the vascular ring adherence, collagenase digestion method and an improved vascular ring adherence method, while smooth muscle cells were separated from tissue sections of rat aorta. Clones of endothelial cells were selected by limiting dilution assay. Both cell types were identified using specific cell immunofluorescent markers, and phase contrast microscopy was used to observe the morphological disparity between endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells at the single cell and colony level. Cell proliferation was determined by the cell counting kit-8. Differences between endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells were evaluated in trypsin digestion time, attachment time and recovery after cryopreservation. Results: Endothelial cells were obtained by all three methods. The improved vascular ring method provided the most reproducible results. Cells were in good condition, and of high purity. Smooth muscle cells were cultured successfully by the tissue fragment culture method. Clonal expansion of single endothelial cells was attained. The two cell types expressed their respective specific markers, and the rate of proliferation of smooth muscle cells exceeded that of endothelial cells. Endothelial cells were more sensitive to trypsin digestion than smooth muscle cells. In addition, they had a shorter adherence time and better recovery following cryopreservation than smooth muscle cells. Conclusion: The improved vascular ring method was optimal for yielding endothelial cells. Limiting dilution is a novel and valid method for purifying primary endothelial cells from rat aorta. Primary rat endothelial cell and vascular smooth muscle cell cultures exhibited different morphological characteristics, proliferation rate, adherence time, susceptibility to trypsin digestion and recovery after cryopreservation. Nine proteins were identified via database searching, according to the molecular weights and amino acid sequences of peptides, among which two proteins have not been identified in the other liver-cell database.
