| 1 | Update on hepatitis B and C virus diagnosis显示文摘Viral hepatitis B and C virus(HBV and HCV) are responsible for the most of chronic liver disease worldwide and are transmitted by parenteral route, sexual and vertical transmission. One important measure to reduce the burden of these infections is the diagnosis of acute and chronic cases of HBV and HCV. In order to provide an effective diagnosis and monitoring of antiviral treatment, it is important to choose sensitive, rapid, inexpensive, and robust analytical methods. Primary diagnosis of HBV and HCV infection is made by using serological tests for detecting antigens and antibodies against these viruses. In order to confirm primary diagnosis, to quantify viral load, to determine genotypes and resistance mutants for antiviral treatment, qualitative and quantitative molecular tests are used. In this manuscript, we review the current serological and molecular methods for the diagnosis of hepatitis B and C. | Livia Melo Villar Helena Medina Cruz Jakeline Ribeiro Barbosa Cristianne Sousa Bezerra Moyra Machado Portilho Letícia de Paula Scalioni | 2015 | World Journal of Virology2015,4,4: | 9 |

| 15 | Sweet syndrome as a paraneoplastic manifestation of cholangiocarcinoma:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Sweet’s syndrome, also known as acute febrile neutrophilic dermatosis,is a rare skin disorder that may be associated with cancer.CASE SUMMARY A 58-year-old female presented with a cholestatic syndrome and significant weight loss three months before admission.Five months earlier, she had abruptly developed skin lesions with erythematous papules that evolved to erythematous blisters.Clinical evaluation and laboratory tests confirmed hepatic cholangiocarcinoma.Skin lesions histopathological findings showed neutrophilic dermatosis, massive edema, fibrin, necrosis, and elastosis. These results,in association with the macroscopic aspects of the findings, led to the diagnosis of paraneoplastic Sweet’s syndrome due to cholangiocarcinoma. As staging was consistent with an advanced tumor without a cure perspective,we opted to perform percutaneous biliary drainage, and subsequently, palliative care.Eventually, after a few weeks, the patient died.CONCLUSION In conclusion, the diagnosis of the underlying disease-causing Sweet’s syndrome must be accurate, and patients need to be followed-up,as neoplasia such as cholangiocarcinoma may be a later manifestation. | Camille Carneiro Lemaire Ana Luisa Carvalho Portilho Luciana V Pinheiro Rafael Alves Vivas Maíra Britto Melaine Montenegro Luiz Felipe de Farias Rodrigues Sérgio Arruda AndréCastro Lyra Lourianne Nascimento Cavalcante | 2020 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,18: | 0 |
| 16 | Social Rights and Work on Digital Platforms in Brazil:The Case of“Breque dos Apps”显示文摘The movement known as“Breque dos Apps”was a social movement of a striker nature, which took place in Brazil in July 2020.Such movement was organized by workers which provided services to delivery apps(like iFood,Loggi,Uber Eats and Rappi). They demanded better working conditions and social protection measures, since they were out of the protection of the Brazilian legal system. The reason for this lies in the fact that there is a debate about the classification of these workers-the maximum expression of the gig economy-as employees under Brazilian legislation. As a result, and with the exponential growth in the use of these applications due to the Covid-19 pandemic, thousands of workers were left on the fringes of any social protection. This study aims to analyze the aforementioned movement and its demands within the paradigm of social rights, especially the ones regarding collective representation, which are guaranteed by the Brazilian Constitution. In terms of methodology, the content analysis method will be applied, considering that the established objective presupposes the study of theoretical and legal texts that allow the structuring of concepts applicable to the theme. The research technique to be adopted will be the analysis of indirect documentation, that is,literature review,to be carried out through bibliographic and documentary research, focused on literature and legal texts related to the topic. | Raphaela Magnino Rosa Portilho Ricardo JoséLeite de Sousa | 2023 | Journal of Sociology Study2023,13,3: | 0 |
| 17 | Comparative Analysis of the Deflections of Two Beams Using the Finite Difference Method显示文摘In this paper,a comparative analysis of two beams’deflections, one supported-embedded beam and a bi-supported beam,is presented. For such comparison, first the respective second-order linear Ordinary Differential Equations(ODEs)were obtained.Along with the boundary conditions, there are two Boundary Value Problems(BVPs),making it possible to perform their numerical and analytical solutions. For numerical solutions,a Matlab algorithm was implemented based on the Finite Difference Method(FDM).The analytical solutions were also obtained for comparison with the numerical ones and with the validation method. In the end we analyzed the shapes of the elastic lines of the two beams caused by the loads coming from the weight of each one. | Mariana Coelho Portilho Bernardi Adilandri Mércio Lobeiro Rogério Zolin Bertechini Tamara Liz Schwab Ribeiro | 2020 | Journal of Mechanics Engineering and Automation2020,10,3: | 0 |
