1Age-related rhesus macaque models of COVID-19显示文摘Background:Since December 2019,an outbreak of the Corona Virus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)in Wuhan,China,has become a public health emergency of international concern.The high fatality of aged cases caused by SARS-CoV-2 was a need to explore the possible age-related phenomena with non-human primate models.Methods:Three 3-5 years old and two 15 years old rhesus macaques were intratracheally infected with SARS-CoV-2,and then analyzed by clinical signs,viral replication,chest X-ray,histopathological changes and immune response.Results:Viral replication of nasopharyngeal swabs,anal swabs and lung in old monkeys was more active than that in young monkeys for 14 days after SARS-CoV-2 challenge.Monkeys developed typical interstitial pneumonia characterized by thickened alveolar septum accompanied with inflammation and edema,notably,old monkeys exhibited diffuse severe interstitial pneumonia.Viral antigens were detected mainly in alveolar epithelial cells and macrophages.Conclusion:SARS-CoV-2 caused more severe interstitial pneumonia in old monkeys than that in young monkeys.Rhesus macaque models infected with SARS-CoV-2 provided insight into the pathogenic mechanism and facilitated the development of vaccines and therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2 infection.Pin Yu Feifei Qi Yanfeng Xu Fengdi Li Peipei Liu Jiayi Liu Linlin Bao Wei Deng Hong Gao Zhiguang Xiang Chong Xiao Qi Lv Shuran Gong Jiangning Liu Zhiqi Song Yajin Qu Jing Xue Qiang Wei Mingya Liu Guanpeng Wang Shunyi Wang Haisheng Yu Xing Liu Baoying Huang Wenling Wang Li Zhao Huijuan Wang Fei Ye Weimin Zhou Wei Zhen Jun Han Guizhen Wu Qi Jin Jianwei Wang Wenjie Tan Chuan Qin 2020Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2020,3,1:22
2Utilization of polysaccharides as depressants for the flotation separation of copper/lead concentrate显示文摘The interaction mechanism between dextrin and minerals has been investigated through micro-flotation, adsorption density measurements, Fourier transform infrared ray (FTIR) spectroscopic studies and dissolution tests. Dextrin shows a good depressing action towards galena but not chalcopyrite. FTIR spectroscopic studies indicate that dextrin chemically adsorbed on galena surface in alkaline pH range. Dissolution tests confirm leaching action of metal ions from chalcopyrite and galena surfaces, and dextrin-lead ion interaction. 3Effect of sodium pyrophosphate on the flotation separation of chalcopyrite from galena显示文摘The effect of sodium pyrophosphate (SPH) on the separation of chalcopyrite from galena was examined through flotation, adsorption, electrokinetic studies and infrared spectral analysis. Differential flotation tests indicate that satisfactory separation can be achieved within the pH range from 2.5 to 6 using SPH to depress the galena, but not the chalcopyrite when O-isopropyl-N-ethyl thionocarbamate (IPETC) is used as the collector. The electrophoretic mobilities of both the minerals dramatically become negatively charged following SPH adsorption in the pH range from 2.5 to 12. The infrared spectral analysis suggests that chemical adsorption occurs on galena surface treated by SPH, indicating that a chelate complex has formed. At weakly acidic pH values, the adsorption density of IPETC onto galena is significantly reduced in the presence of SPH. However, the amount of IPETC adsorbed onto chalcopyrite almost remains at the same level. Since the observed adsorption density of IEPTC onto chalcopyrite is quite high compared to galena, the observed flotation results are explained. 4Effects of different mixing ratios on emissions from passenger cars fueled with methanol/gasoline blends显示文摘Regulated and unregulated emissions from four passenger cars fueled with methanol/gasoline blends at different mixing ratios (M15,M20,M30,M50,M85 and M100) were tested over the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were sampled by Tenax TA and analyzed by thermal desorption-gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer (TD-GC/MS).Carbonyls were trapped on dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) cartridges and analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).The results showed that total emissions of VOCs and BTEX (benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,p,m,o-xylene) from all vehicles fueled with methanol/gasoline blends were lower than those from vehicles fueled with only gasoline.Compared to the baseline,the use of M85 decreased BTEX emissions by 97.4%,while the use of M15 decreased it by 19.7%.At low-to-middle mixing ratios (M15,M20,M30 and M50),formaldehyde emissions showed a slight increase while those of high mixing ratios (M85 and M100) were three times compared with the baseline gasoline only.When the vehicles were retrofitted with new three-way catalytic converters (TWC),emissions of carbon monoxide (CO),total hydrocarbon (THC),and nitrogen oxides (NOx) were decreased by 24%-50%,10%-35%,and 24%-58% respectively,compared with the cars using the original equipment manufacture (OEM) TWC.Using the new TWC,emissions of formaldehyde and BTEX were decreased,while those of other carbonyl increased.It is necessary that vehicles fueled with methanol/gasoline blends be retrofitted with a new TWC.In addition,the specific reactivity of emissions of vehicles fueled with M15 and retrofitted with the new TWC was reduced from 4.51 to 4.08 compared to the baseline vehicle.This indicates that the use of methanol/gasoline blend at a low mixing ratio may have lower effect on environment than gasoline.Hong Zhao Yunshan Ge Jianwei Tan Hang Yin Jiadong Guo Wei Zhao Peipei Dai 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:12
5New strategy for designing orangish-redemitting phosphor via oxygen-vacancyinduced electronic localization显示文摘Phosphor-converted white-light-emitting diodes(pc-WLED)have been extensively employed as solid-state lighting sources,which have a very important role in people’s daily lives.However,due to the scarcity of the red component,it is difficult to realize warm white light efficiently.Hence,red-emitting phosphors are urgently required for improving the illumination quality.In this work,we develop a novel orangish-red La_(4)GeO_(8):Bi^(3+) phosphor,the emission peak of which is located at 600 nm under near-ultraviolet(n-UV)light excitation.The full width at half maximum(fwhm)is 103 nm,the internal quantum efficiency(IQE)exceeds 88%,and the external quantum efficiency(EQE)is 69%.According to Rietveld refinement analysis and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,Bi^(3+) ions randomly occupy all La sites in orthorhombic La_(4)GeO_(8).Importantly,the oxygen-vacancy-induced electronic localization around the Bi3+ions is the main reason for the highly efficient orangish-red luminescence.These results provide a new perspective and insight from the local electron structure for designing inorganic phosphor materials that realize the unique luminescence performance of Bi^(3+) ions.Yi Wei Gongcheng Xing Kang Liu Guogang Li Peipei Dang Sisi Liang Min Liu Ziyong Cheng Dayong Jin Jun Lin 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:12
6Immunity-and-matrix-regulatory cells derived from human embryonic stem cells safely and effectively treat mouse lung injury and fibrosis显示文摘Lung injury and fibrosis represent the most significant outcomes of severe and acute lung disorders,including COVID-19.However,there are still no effective drugs to treat lung injury and fibrosis.In this study,we report the generation of clinical-grade human embryonic stem cells(hESCs)-derived immunity-and matrix-regulatory cells(IMRCs)produced under good manufacturing practice requirements,that can treat lung injury and fibrosis in vivo.We generate IMRCs by sequentially differentiating hESCs with serum-free reagents.IMRCs possess a unique gene expression profile distinct from that of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(UCMSCs),such as higher expression levels of proliferative,immunomodulatory and anti-fibrotic genes.Moreover,intravenous delivery of IMRCs inhibits both pulmonary inflammation and fibrosis in mouse models of lung injury,and significantly improves the survival rate of the recipient mice in a dose-dependent manner,likely through paracrine regulatory mechanisms.IMRCs are superior to both primary UCMSCs and the FDA-approved drug pirfenidone,with an excellent efficacy and safety profile in mice and monkeys.In light of public health crises involving pneumonia,acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome,our findings suggest that IMRCs are ready for clinical trials on lung disorders.Jun Wu Dingyun Song Zhongwen Li Baojie Guo Yani Xiao Wenjing Liu Lingmin Liang Chunjing Feng Tingting Gao Yanxia Chen Ying Li Zai Wang Jianyan Wen Shengnan Yang Peipei Liu Lei Wang Yukai Wang Liang Peng Glyn Nigel Stacey Zheng Hu Guihai Feng Wei Li Yan Huo Ronghua Jin Ng Shyh-Chang Qi Zhou Liu Wang Baoyang Hu Huaping Dai Jie Hao 2020Cell Research2020,30,9:7

10Inhibiting Hv1 channel in peripheral sensory neurons attenuates chronic inflammatory pain and opioid side effects显示文摘Both opioids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDS)produce deleterious side effects and fail to provide sustained relief in patients with chronic inflammatory pain.Peripheral neuroinflammation(PN)is critical for initiation and development of inflammatory pain.A better understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying PN would facilitate the discovery of new analgesic targets and the development of new therapeutics.Emerging evidence suggests that peripheral sensory neurons are not only responders to painful stimuli,but are also actively engaged in inflammation and immunity,whereas the intrinsic regulatory mechanism is poorly understood.Here we report the expression of proton-selective ion channel Hv1 in peripheral sensory neurons in rodents and humans,which was previously shown as selectively expressed in microglia in mammalian central nervous system.Neuronal Hv1 was up-regulated by PN or depolarizing stimulation,which in turn aggravates inflammation and nociception.Inhibiting neuronal Hv1 genetically or by a newly discovered selective inhibitor YHV98-4 reduced intracellular alkalization and ROS production in inflammatory pain,mitigated the imbalance in downstream SHP-1-pAKT signaling,and also diminished pro-inflammatory chemokine release to alleviate nociception and morphine-induced hyperalgesia and tolerance.Thus,our data reveal neuronal Hv1 as a novel target in analgesia strategy and managing opioids-related side effects.Qiansen Zhang Yimin Ren Yiqing Mo Peipei Guo Ping Liao Yuncheng Luo Jie Mu Zhuo Chen Yang Zhang Ya Li Linghui Yang Daqing Liao Jie Fu Juwen Shen Wei Huang Xuewen Xu Yanyan Guo Lianghe Mei Yunxia Zuo Jin Liu Huaiyu Yang Ruotian Jiang 2022Cell Research2022,32,5:3
11Personalized neoantigen pulsed dendritic cell vaccine for advanced lung cancer显示文摘Neoantigens are considered to be ultimate target of tumor immunotherapy due to their high tumor specificity and immunogenicity.Dendritic cell(DCs)vaccines based on neoantigens have exciting effects in treatment of some malignant tumors and are a promising therapeutic modality.Lung cancer is a lethal disease with the highest morbidity and mortality rate in the world.Despite the rapid development of targeted therapy and immune checkpoint inhibitors for lung cancer in recent years,their efficacy is still unsatisfactory overall.Therefore,there is an urgent unmet clinical need for lung cancer treatment.Here,we attempted to treat lung cancer using a personalized neoantigen peptide-pulsed autologous DC vaccine and conducted a single-arm,2 medical centers,pilot study initiated by the investigator(ChiCTR-ONC 16009100,NCT02956551).The patients enrolled were patients with heavily treated metastatic lung cancer.Candidate neoantigens were derived from whole-exome sequencing and RNA sequencing of fresh biopsy tissues as well as bioinformatics analysis.A total of 12 patients were enrolled in this study.A total of 85 vaccine treatments were administered with a median value of 5 doses/person(range:3-14 doses/person).In total,12-30 peptide-based neoantigens were selected for each patient.AIl treatment-related adverse events were grade 1-2 and there were no delays in dosing due to toxic effects.The objective effectiveness rate was 25%;the disease control rate was 75%;the median progression-free survival was 5.5 months and the median overall survival was 7.9 months.This study provides new evidence for neoantigen vaccine therapy and new therapeutic opportunities for lung cancer treatment.Zhenyu Ding Qing Li Rui Zhang Li Xie Yang shu Song Gao Peipei Wang Xiaoqing Su Yun Qin Yuelan Wang Juemin Fang Zhongzheng Zhu Xuyang Xia Guochao Wei Hui Wang Hong Qian Xianling Guo Zhibo Gao Yu Wang Yuquan Wei Qing Xu Heng Xu Li Yang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,2:3

14ITO@TiO_(2)nanoarray:An efficient and robust nitrite reduction reaction electrocatalyst toward NH_(3)production under ambient conditions显示文摘Ambient electrochemical nitrite(NO_(2)^(-))reduction is viewed as an effective and sustainable approach for simul-taneously removing NO_(2)^(-)and producing ammonia(NH_(3)).However,the complex multi-electron transfer steps involved in the NO_(2)^(-)reduction reaction(NO_(2)^(-)RR)lead to sluggish kinetics and low product selectivity toward NH_(3),underscoring the need for NH_(3)synthesis electrocatalysts with high activity and durability.Herein,we report amorphous indium-tin oxide sputtered on a TiO_(2)nanobelt array on a Ti plate(ITO@TiO_(2)/TP)as a 3D NH_(3)-producing catalyst for the NO_(2)^(-).In 0.5 M LiClO_(4)with 0.1 M NO_(2)^(-),it shows greatly boosted NO_(2)^(-)RR activity toward NH_(3)production,with excellent selectivity,achieving a large NH_(3)yield of 411.3μmol h^(-1)cm^(-2)and a high Faradaic efficiency of 82.6%.It also shows high durability for continuous electrolysis.A Zn-NO_(2)^(-)battery with ITO@TiO_(2)/TP cathode offers an NH_(3)yield of 23.1μmol h^(-1)cm^(-2)and a peak power density of 1.22 m.Shaoxiong Li Jie Liang Peipei Wei Qian Liu Lisi Xie Yonglan Luo Xuping Sun 2022eScience2022,2,4:3

16Chromosome-level Genomes Reveal the Genetic Basis of Descending Dysploidy and Sex Determination in Morus Plants显示文摘Multiple plant lineages have independently evolved sex chromosomes and variable karyotypes to maintain their sessile lifestyles through constant biological innovation.Morus notabilis,a dioecious mulberry species,has the fewest chromosomes among Morus spp.,but the genetic basis of sex determination and karyotype evolution in this species has not been identified.In this study,three high-quality genome assemblies were generated for Morus spp.[including dioecious M.notabilis(male and female)and Morus yunnanensis(female)]with genome sizes of 301–329 Mb and were grouped into six pseudochromosomes.Using a combination of genomic approaches,we found that the putative ancestral karyotype of Morus species was close to 14 protochromosomes,and that several chromosome fusion events resulted in descending dysploidy(2n=2x=12).We also characterized a~6.2-Mb sex-determining region on chromosome 3.Four potential male-specific genes,a partially duplicated DNA helicase gene(named MSDH)and three Ty3_Gypsy long terminal repeat retrotransposons(named MSTG1/2/3),were identified in the Y-linked area and considered to be strong candidate genes for sex determination or differentiation.Population genomic analysis showed that Guangdong accessions in China were genetically similar to Japanese accessions of mulberry.In addition,genomic areas containing selective sweeps that distinguish domesticated mulberry from wild populations in terms of flowering and disease resistance were identified.Our study provides an important genetic resource for sex identification research and molecular breeding in mulberry.Zhongqiang Xia Xuelei Dai Wei Fan Changying Liu Meirong Zhang Peipei Bian Yuping Zhou Liang Li Baozhong Zhu Shuman Liu Zhengang Li Xiling Wang Maode Yu Zhonghuai Xiang Yu Jiang Aichun Zhao 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,6:1

19Highly efficient Fe^(3+)-doped A_(2)BB′O_(6)(A=Sr^(2+),Ca^(2+);B,B′=In^(3+),Sb^(5+),Sn^(4+))broadband nearinfrared-emitting phosphors for spectroscopic analysis显示文摘Near-infrared(NIR)-emitting phosphor-converted light-emitting diodes have attracted widespread attention in various applications based on NIR spectroscopy.Except for typical Cr^(3+)-activated NIR-emitting phosphors,next-generation Cr^(3+)-free NIR-emitting phosphors with high efficiency and tunable optical properties are highly desired to enrich the types of NIR luminescent materials for different application fields.Here,we report the Fe^(3+)-activated Sr2−yCay(InSb)1−zSn_(2)zO_(6)phosphors that exhibit unprecedented long-wavelength NIR emission.The overall emission tuning from 885 to 1005 nm with broadened full-width at half maximum from 108 to 146 nm was realized through a crystallographic site engineering strategy.The NIR emission was significantly enhanced after complete Ca^(2+)incorporation owing to the substitution-induced lower symmetry of the Fe^(3+)sites.The Ca_(2)InSbO_(6):Fe^(3+)phosphor peaking at 935 nm showed an ultra-high internal quantum efficiency of 87%.The as-synthesized emission-tunable phosphors demonstrated great potential for NIR spectroscopy detection.This work initiates the development of efficient Fe^(3+)-activated broadband NIR-emitting phosphors and opens up a new avenue for designing NIR-emitting phosphor materials.Dongjie Liu Guogang Li Peipei Dang Qianqian Zhang Yi Wei Lei Qiu Maxim S.Molokeev Hongzhou Lian Mengmeng Shang Jun Lin 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5:1
