1CHH methylation of genes associated with fatty acid and jasmonate biosynthesis contributes to cold tolerance in autotetraploids of Poncirus trifoliata显示文摘Polyploids have elevated stress tolerance,but the underlying mechanisms remain largely elusive.In this study,we showed that naturally occurring tetraploid plants of trifoliate orange(Poncirus trifoliata(L.) Raf.) exhibited enhanced cold tolerance relative to their diploid progenitors.Transcriptome analysis revealed that whole-genome duplication was associated with higher expression levels of a range of well-characterized cold stress-responsive genes.Global DNA methylation profiling demonstrated that the tetraploids underwent more extensive DNA demethylation in comparison with the diploids under cold stress.CHH methylation in the promoters was associated with up-regulation of related genes,whereas CG,CHG,and CHH methylation in the 3’-regions was relevant to gene down-regulation.Of note,genes involved in unsaturated fatty acids(UFAs) and jasmonate(JA)biosynthesis in the tetraploids displayed different CHH methylation in the gene flanking regions and were prominently up-regulated,consistent with greater accumulation of UFAs and JA when exposed to the cold stress.Collectively,our findings explored the difference in cold stress response between diploids and tetraploids at both transcriptional and epigenetic levels,and gained new insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying enhanced cold tolerance of the tetraploid.These results contribute to uncovering a novel regulatory role of DNA methylation in better cold tolerance of polyploids.Yue Wang Lanlan Zuo Tonglu Wei Yu Zhang Yang Zhang Ruhong Ming Dahro Bachar Wei Xiao Khan Madiha Chuanwu Chen Qijun Fan Chunlong Li Ji-Hong Liu 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,12:2

5Highly stable aqueous rechargeable Zn-ion battery:The synergistic effect between NaV_(6)O_(15) and V_(2)O_(5) in skin-core heterostructured nanowires cathode显示文摘The aqueous rechargeable Zn-ion batteries based on the safe,low cost and environmental benignity aqueous electrolytes are one of the most compelling candidates for large scale energy storage applications.However,pursuing suitable insertion materials may be a great challenge due to the strong electrostatic interaction between Zn^(^(2+))and cathode materials.Hence,a novel NaV_(6)O_(15)/V_(2)O_(5) skin-core heterostructure nanowire is reported via a one-step hydrothermal method and subsequent calcination for high-stable aqueous Zn-ion batteries(ZIBs).The NaV_(6)O_(15)/V_(2)O_(5) cathode delivers high specific capacity of 390 m Ah/g at 0.3 A/g and outstanding cycling stability of 267 m Ah/g at 5 A/g with high capacity retention over 92.3%after 3000 cycles.The superior electrochemical performances are attributed to the synergistic effect of skin-core heterostructured NaV_(6)O_(15)/V_(2)O_(5),in which the sheath of NaV_(6)O_(15) possesses high stability and conductivity,and the V_(2)O_(5) endows high specific capacity.Besides,the heterojunction structure not only accelerates intercalation kinetics of Zn^(2+)transport but also further consolidates the stability of the layers of V_(2)O_(5) during the cyclic process.This work provides a new perspective in developing feasible insertion materials for rechargeable aqueous ZIBs.Lanlan Fan Zhenhuan Li Weimin Kang Bowen Cheng 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:0
6Thermal environment investigation of asymmetric radiation coupled with convection heating显示文摘The couple of radiation with convection heating owned advantages of less energy utilization,healthier and more comfortable indoor environment.However,local thermal discomfort was often induced by large vertical temperature difference and radiation asymmetry temperature.This work studied indoor thermal environment characteristics under different coupling ways of radiation and convection heating terminals through experiments and CFD simulation.The studied five scenarios were denoted as:(Ⅰ)lateral air supply+adjacent side wall radiation,(Ⅱ)lateral air supply+opposite side wall radiation,(Ⅲ)lateral air supply+floor radiation,(Ⅳ)lateral air supply+adjacent side wall radiation+floor radiation,and(Ⅴ)lateral air supply+opposite side wall radiation+floor radiation.The overall thermal comfort indices(including air diffusion performance index(ADPI),predicted mean vote(PMV),and predicted percent of dissatisfaction(PPD))and local thermal comfort indices under different scenarios were investigated.For Scenarios Ⅰ-Ⅲ,the local dissatisfaction rates caused by vertical air temperature difference were 0.4%,0.1%,and 0.2%,respectively,which belonged to'A”class according to the ISO-7730 Standard.While the vertical asymmetric radiation temperature of Scenario Ⅰ-Ⅱ was about 6.5℃ lower than that of Scenario Ⅲ-Ⅳ-Ⅴ.The ADPI for Scenarios Ⅲ-Ⅴ were about respectively 5.7%,16.7%,and 21.0%higher than that of Scenarios Ⅰ-Ⅱ,indicating that a large radiation area and radiation angle coefficient could reduce the discomfort caused by radiant temperature asymmetry.The coupling mode improved local discomfort by decreasing vertical temperature difference and radiation asymmetry temperature wherefore improving the PMV from-1.6 to-1.The lateral air supply coupled with asymmetric radiation heating could potentially improve the thermal comfort of occupied area,while the comprehensive effect of thermal environmental improvement,energy-saving,and cost-effectiveness needes to be further investigated.Man Fan Jia Wang Lanlan Zhang Han Li Xiangfei Kong Chenxiao Zheng 2022Building Simulation2022,15,7:0

8Does informal care impact the use of healthcare services in China?Evidence from the perspective of drug utilization显示文摘Based on the 2011-2018 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS),we investigated the effect of informal care on caregivers’utilization of medical drugs using the instrumental variable method with fixed effects.Our results indicate that caregivers are more likely to take medical drugs than non-caregivers.Additionally,caregivers tend to take a significantly higher number of drugs than non-caregivers,particularly those treating physical diseases.Moreover,the effect of informal care on the drug utilization is found more significant among those aged 45-54,male caregivers,and those who provide care for their parents-in-law compared to their respective counterparts.We further identified channels through which informal care contributes to caregivers’higher drug utilization.These channels include an increased risk of developing chronic diseases,a higher number of chronic diseases,lower their self-reported health,and reduced social activities.These results offer implications for policymakers in overcoming the challenges of establishing and developing a supportive system for informal care in China.Lu Chen Hongli Fan Lanlan Chu 2023China Population and Development Studies2023,7,3:0
9Hollow ZIF-67-derived Co@N-doped carbon nanotubes boosting the hydrogenation of phenolic compounds to alcohols显示文摘The selective hydrogenation of highly toxic phenolic compounds to generate alcohols with thermal stability,environmental friendliness,and non-toxicity is of great importance.Herein,a series of Co-based catalysts,named Co@NCNTs,were designed and constructed by direct pyrolysis of hollow ZIF-67(HZIF-67)under H_(2)/Ar atmosphere.The evolution of the catalyst surface from the shell layer assembled by ZIF-67-derived particles to the in situ-grown hollow nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes(NCNTs)with certain length and density is achieved by adjusting the pyrolysis atmosphere and temperature.Due to the synergistic effects of in situ-formed hollow NCNTs,well-dispersed Co nanoparticles,and intact carbon matrix,the as-prepared Co@NCNTs-0.10-450 catalyst exhibits superior catalytic performance in the hydrogenation of phenolic compounds to alcohols.The turnover frequency value of Co@NCNTs-0.10-450is 3.52 h^(-1),5.9 times higher than that of Co@NCNTs-0.40-450 and 4.5 times higher than that of Co@NCNTs-0.10-550,exceeding most previously reported non-noble metal catalysts.Our findings provide new insights into the development of non-precious metal,efficient,and cost-effective metal-organic framework-derived catalysts for the hydrogenation of phenolic compounds to alcohols.Zhihao Guo Jiuxuan Zhang Lanlan Chen Chaoqun Fan Hong Jiang Rizhi Chen 2024Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2024,66,2:0
10CC@BCN@PANI core-shell nanoarrays as ultra-high cycle stability cathode for Zn-ion hybrid supercapacitors显示文摘Exploring cathode materials that combine excellent cycling stability and high energy density poses a challenge to aqueous Zn-ion hybrid supercapacitors(ZHSCs).Herein,polyaniline(PANI)coated boron-carbon-nitrogen(BCN)nanoarray on carbon cloth surface is prepared as advanced cathode materials via simple high-temperature calcination and electrochemical deposition methods.Because of the excellent specific capacity and conductivity of PANI,the CC@BCN@PANI core-shell nanoarrays cathode shows an excellent ion storage capability.Moreover,the 3D nanoarray structure can provide enough space for the volume expansion and contraction of PANI in the charging/discharging cycles,which effectively avoids the collapse of the microstructure and greatly improves the electrochemical stability of PANI.Therefore,the CC@BCN@PANI-based ZHSCs exhibit superior electrochemical performances showing a specific capacity of 145.8 mAh/g,a high energy density of 116.78 Wh/kg,an excellent power density of 12 kW/kg,and a capacity retention rate of 86.2%after 8000 charge/discharge cycles at a current density of 2 A/g.In addition,the flexible ZHSCs(FZHSCs)also show a capacity retention rate of 87.7%at the current density of 2 A/g after 450 cycles.Shixian XIONG Hongcheng KE Lei CAO Yu WANG Qian ZHU Liqin ZHONG Lanlan FAN Feng GU 2023Frontiers in Energy2023,17,4:0
