1Initial experience with stereotactic body radiotherapy for intrahepatic hepatocellular carcinoma recurrence after liver transplantation显示文摘BACKGROUND Graft hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)recurrence after liver transplant is more frequently encountered.Graft hepatectomy is technically challenging and is associated with high morbidity.Stereotactic body radiation therapy(SBRT)has been shown to be safe and effective for the treatment of primary HCC.However,its role in HCC recurrence in a liver graft remains unclear.AIM To evaluate the safety and efficacy of SBRT for the treatment of graft HCC recurrence after liver transplantation.METHODS A retrospective study was conducted.From 2012 to 2018,6 patients with intrahepatic HCC recurrence after liver transplant were treated with SBRT at Queen Mary Hospital,the University of Hong Kong.The primary outcome was time to overall disease progression and secondary outcomes were time to local progression and best local response,as assessed with the Modified response Evaluation Criteria for Solid Tumours criteria.Patients were monitored for treatment related toxicities and graft dysfunction.RESULTS A total of 9 treatment courses were given for 13 tumours.The median tumour size was 2.3 cm(range 0.7-3.6 cm).Two(22%)patients had inferior vena cava tumour thrombus.The best local treatment response was:5(55%)complete response,1(11%)partial response and 3(33%)stable disease.After a median follow up duration of 15.5 mo,no local progression or mortality was yet observed.The median time to overall disease progression was 6.5 mo.There were 6 regional progression in the liver graft(67%)and 2 distant progression in the lung(22%).There was no grade 3 or above toxicity and there was no graft dysfunction after SBRT.CONCLUSION SBRT appears to be safe in this context.Regional progression is the mode of failure.Kin Pan Au Chi Leung Chiang Albert Chi Yan Chan Tan To Cheung Chung Mau Lo Kenneth Siu Ho Chok 2020World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,13:3

3Ferroelectricity coexisted with p-orbital ferromagnetism and metallicity in two-dimensional metal oxynitrides显示文摘Two-dimensional (2D) multiferroics have attracted increasing interests in basic science and technological fields in recent years.However,most reported 2D magnetic ferroelectrics are based on the d-electron magnetism,which makes them rather rare due to the empirical d^(0) rule and limits their applications for low magnetic phase transition temperature.In this work,we demonstrate that the ferroelectricity can coexist with the p-electron-induced ferromagnetism without the limitation of d^(0) rule and metallicity in a family of stable 2D MXene-analogous oxynitrides,X_(2)NO_(2) (X = In,Tl).Remarkably,the itinerant character of p electrons can lead to the strong ferromagnetic metallic states.Furthermore,a possible magnetoelectric effect is manifested in a Tl_(2)NO_(2)/WTe_(2) heterostructure through the interface engineering.Our findings provide an alternative possible route toward 2D multiferroics and enrich the concept of ferroelectric metals.Haoqiang Ai Feifei Li Haoyun Bai Dong Liu Kin Ho Lo Shengyuan AYang Yoshiyuki Kawazoe Hui Pan 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:0
4Remarkable synergistic effect in cobalt-iron nitride/alloy nanosheets for robust electrochemical water splitting显示文摘Design and synthesis of noble-metal-free bifunctional catalysts for efficient and robust electrochemical water splitting are of significant importance in developing clean and renewable energy sources for sustainable energy consumption.Herein,a simple three-step strategy is reported to construct cobalt-iron nitride/alloy nanosheets on nickel foam(CoFe-NA/NF)as a bifunctional catalyst for both hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).The electrocatalyst with optimized composition(CoFe-NA2/NF)can achieve ultralow overpotentials of 73 mV and 250 mV for HER and OER,respectively,at a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2) in 1 M KOH.Notably,the electrolyzer based on this electrocatalyst is able to boost the overall water splitting with a cell voltage of 1.564 V to deliver 10 mA cm^(-2) for at least 50 h without obvious performance decay.Furthermore,our experiment and theoretical calculation demonstrate that the combination of cobalt-iron nitride and alloy can have low hydrogen adsorption energy and facilitate water dissociation during HER.In addition,the surface reconstruction introduces metal oxyhydroxides to optimize the OER process.Our work may pave a new pathway to design bifunctional catalysts for overall water splitting.Mingpeng Chen Di Liu Baoye Zi Yuyun Chen Dong Liu Xinyu Du Feifei Li Pengfei Zhou Ye Ke Jielei Li Kin Ho Lo Chi Tat Kwok Weng Fai Ip Shi Chen Shuangpeng Wang Qingju Liu Hui Pan 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:0
