1Short Term Influence of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizer on Soil Microbial Biomass and DNA in Summer and Spring显示文摘The present study was conducted to see the short term impact of organic and inorganic fertilizers on soil microbial biomass both in spring and summer. Also aimed to observe the correlation between soil microbial biomass and soil DNA. The study concluded that type of fertilizer might alter the soil microbial biomass and DNA contents. In soil treated with organic fertilizers resulted in higher concentrations of microbial biomass and DNA contents in summer as compared to spring dute to increase in temperature. Correspondingly, in case of inorganic fertilizer, concentrations of soil microbial biomass and DNA detected higher in summer instead of spring. The statistical correlation between soil microbial biomass, DNA and ODR in spring and summer along with organic and inorganic fertilizers were calculated highly significant(p>0.01). 2Influence of Soil pH and Temperature on Atrazine Bioremediation显示文摘Present study was conducted to clarify soil pH and temperature influence on different atrazine bioremediation techniques. For this purpose, sodium citrate, Arthrobactor sp. strain DNS10, sawdust and animal manure were selected to clarify their atrazine remediation efficiency under pH 5, 7 and 9 and temperatures 20, 30 and 40℃, respectively. Results showed that atrazine remediation was generally optimized at pH 7 and 30℃ for all the treatments except sodium citrate as soil treated with sawdust was not temperature dependant, but at pH 5 remediation process was determined slower. Atrazine remediation in soil with no additional amendment was only 34%, while in soil treated with sawdust, DNS10, sodium citrate and animal manure were 75.17%, 89%, 74.17% and 76.83% at optimized pH and temperature. 7Einstein Hybrid Structure of q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Soft Set and Its Application for Diagnosis of Waterborne Infectious Disease显示文摘This research is devoted to diagnosing water-borne infectious diseases caused by floods employing a novel diagnosis approach,the Einstein hybrid structure of q-rung orthopair fuzzy soft set.This approach integrates parts of fuzzy logic and soft set theory to develop a robust alternative for disease detection in stressful situations,especially in areas affected by floods.Compared to the traditional intuitionistic fuzzy soft set and Pythagorean fuzzy soft set,the q-rung orthopair fuzzy soft set(q-ROFSS)adequately incorporates unclear and indeterminate facts.The major objective of this investigation is to formulate the q-rung orthopair fuzzy soft Einstein hybrid weighted average(q-ROFSEHWA)operator and its specific characteristics.Moreover,our stated operator is implementing intelligentmulti-criteria group decision-making(MCGDM)methodology.Floods are severe natural catastrophes that raise the risk of diseases and epidemics,particularly those caused by contaminants in the water,such as gastrointestinal diseases,respiratory infections,vector-borne diseases,skin infections,and water-borne parasites.The designed MCGDM strategy tackles the prevalence of certain conditions in flood-affected patients.A comparative investigation determined that the suggested method for detecting water-borne infectious disease due to floods is more effective and productive than conventional methods because of its logical structure.Rana Muhammad Zulqarnain Hafiz Khalil ur Rehman Imran Siddique HijazAhmad Sameh Askar Shahid Hussain Gurmani 2024Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,139,5:0

9Improved Spallation Resistance of the Oxide Scale by Hf/Y Co-doping in Ni-Based Superalloy at High Temperature显示文摘Ni-based superalloys added with comparably higher concentrations of single-doped Hf and co-doped Hf/Y are prepared by vacuum induction melting(VIM).The oxidation properties up to 300 h at 900℃,1000℃,and 1100℃ are investigated.The undoped alloy exhibited a minimum oxidation rate at 900℃ and 1000℃.The co-doped alloy showed a higher oxidation rate;however,it possesses better scale adhesion,and no spallation occurs.Hf-doped alloy showed a lower oxidation rate and better scale adhesion at 900℃ and 1000℃,but exhibited a shorter lifetime at 1100℃.The spallation of the Hf-doped alloy is attributed to the precipitation of the HfO2 in and beneath the oxide scale.The spallation in the undoped alloy is accredited to the thermal expansion mismatch between the growing oxide scale and superalloy substrate.Incorporating two reactive elements(REs)in alloy minimized the precipitation of RE oxide in the oxide scale,diminished internal oxidation in the alloy,and decreased oxide scale spallation.Khalil Rehman Naicheng Sheng Shigang Fan Shijie Sun Guicheng Hou Yizhou Zhou Xiaofeng Sun 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,10:0
10Early-Stage Segmentation and Characterization of Brain Tumor显示文摘Gliomas are the most aggressive brain tumors caused by the abnormal growth of brain tissues.The life expectancy of patients diagnosed with gliomas decreases exponentially.Most gliomas are diagnosed in later stages,resulting in imminent death.On average,patients do not survive 14 months after diagnosis.The only way to minimize the impact of this inevitable disease is through early diagnosis.The Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)scans,because of their better tissue contrast,are most frequently used to assess the brain tissues.The manual classification of MRI scans takes a reasonable amount of time to classify brain tumors.Besides this,dealing with MRI scans manually is also cumbersome,thus affects the classification accuracy.To eradicate this problem,researchers have come up with automatic and semiautomatic methods that help in the automation of brain tumor classification task.Although,many techniques have been devised to address this issue,the existing methods still struggle to characterize the enhancing region.This is because of low variance in enhancing region which give poor contrast in MRI scans.In this study,we propose a novel deep learning based method consisting of a series of steps,namely:data pre-processing,patch extraction,patch pre-processing,and a deep learning model with tuned hyper-parameters to classify all types of gliomas with a focus on enhancing region.Our trained model achieved better results for all glioma classes including the enhancing region.The improved performance of our technique can be attributed to several factors.Firstly,the non-local mean filter in the pre-processing step,improved the image detail while removing irrelevant noise.Secondly,the architecture we employ can capture the non-linearity of all classes including the enhancing region.Overall,the segmentation scores achieved on the Dice Similarity Coefficient(DSC)metric for normal,necrosis,edema,enhancing and non-enhancing tumor classes are 0.95,0.97,0.91,0.93,0.95;respectively.Syed Nauyan Rashid Muhammad Hanif Usman Habib Akhtar Khalil Omair Inam Hafeez Ur Rehman 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,10:0
11Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System Assessment of the Nutrients Limiting and Nutritional Status of Tomato显示文摘Tomato is an important field crop,and nutritional imbalances frequently reduce its yield.Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System(DRIS),uses ratios for nutrient deficiency diagnosis instead of absolute concentration in plant tests.In this study,local DRIS norms for the field tomatoes were established and the nutrient(s)limiting tomatoes yield were determined.Tomato leaves were analyzed for nutrients,to identify nutritional status using the DRIS approach.One hundred tomatoes fields were selected from Chatter Plain Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Sheikupura Punjab Pakistan.The first fully matured leaf was sampled,rinsed,dried and ground for analyzing P,K,Ca,Mg,Cu,Fe,Mn and Zn using an Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrophotometer(ICP AES).Plant tissue N and S were measured by the combustion method.The tomatoes yields were recorded at each location.The data were divided into high-yielding(≥3.79 kg/10 plant)and low-yielding(<3.79 kg/10 plant)populations and norms were computed using standard DRIS procedures.High-yielding plant population had a statistically greater mean S and Fe than the low-yielding population.The average balance index,the sum of functions,for S and Fe were−11.04 and−5.17 which reflected deficiency of S and Fe.Plant nutrients norms established may optimize plant nutrition in field tomatoes for high yield.Rabia Manzoor Mohammad Saleem Akhtar Khalid Saifullah Khan Taqi Raza Muhammad Ishaq Asif Rehmani Carl Rosen Muhammad Khalil ur Rehman Nahla Zidan Fahad MAlzuaibr Nisreen MAbdulsalam Najla AKhateeb Majid Alhomrani Abdulhakeem SAlamri Javeed Ahmad Lone Muhammad Ammar Raza Ayman El Sabagh 2022Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2022,91,12:0
12Computational Analysis of Heat and Mass Transfer in Magnetized Darcy-Forchheimer Hybrid Nanofluid Flow with Porous Medium and Slip Effects显示文摘A computational analysis of magnetized hybrid Darcy-Forchheimer nanofluid flow across a flat surface is presented in this work.For the study of heat and mass transfer aspects viscous dissipation,activation energy,Joule heating,thermal radiation,and heat generation effects are considered.The suspension of nanoparticles singlewalled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)are created by hybrid nanofluids.However,single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)produce nanofluids,with water acting as conventional fluid,respectively.Nonlinear partial differential equations(PDEs)that describe the ultimate flow are converted to nonlinear ordinary differential equations(ODEs)using appropriate similarity transformation.The ODEs are dealt with numerically by means of MATLAB’s inbuilt routine function bvp4c.Velocity,temperature,and concentration profiles are explained pictorially whereas Sherwood number,local skin friction coefficient,and Nusselt number values are represented through bar charts.Thermal radiation and activation parameters shows direct impact on flow field.Furthermore,hybrid nanofluid admits a higher magnitude of velocity and temperature than nanofluid,but the concentration profile exhibits the opposite trend.The notable findings of the present investigation have significant applications in heat combustion and cooling chambers,space technology,the ceramics industry,paint and conductive coatings,bio-sensors,and many more.Nosheen Fatima Nabeela Kousar Khalil Ur Rehman Wasfi Shatanawi 2023Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,137,12:0
