1Mercury removal from coal combustion flue gas by modified fly ash显示文摘Fly ash is a potential alternative to activated carbon for mercury adsorption. The effects of physicochemical properties on the mercury adsorption performance of three fly ash samples were investigated. X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and other methods were used to characterize the samples. Results indicate that mercury adsorption on fly ash is primarily physisorption and chemisorption. High specific surface areas and small pore diameters are beneficial to efficient mercury removal. Incompletely burned carbon is also an important factor for the improvement of mercury removal efficiency, in particular. The C-M bond, which is formed by the reaction of C and Ti, Si and other elements, may improve mercury oxidation. The samples modified with CuBr2 , CuCl 2 and FeCl3 showed excellent performance for Hg removal, because the chlorine in metal chlorides acts as an oxidant that promotes the conversion of elemental mercury (Hg0) into its oxidized form (Hg2+). Cu2+ and Fe3+ can also promote Hg 0 oxidation as catalysts. HCl and O2 promote the adsorption of Hg by modified fly ash, whereas SO2 inhibits the Hg adsorption because of competitive adsorption for active sites. 2CapOX as neoadjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced operable colon cancer patients: a prospective single-arm phase Ⅱ trial显示文摘Objective: The aim of this prospective, single-arm phase II trial was to confirm the safety and efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC) using oxaliplatin plus capecitabine(Cap OX) for patients with operable locally advanced colon cancer(CC).Methods: Patients with computed tomography-defined T4 or lymph node-positive CCs were enrolled. After radiological staging, patients were treated with at least 2 cycles of NAC consisting of 130 mg/m2 oxaliplatin on d 1,plus 1,000 mg/m2 capecitabine twice daily for 14 d every 3 weeks, followed by surgery, and then with the rest cycles of adjuvant chemotherapy. Radiological response was evaluated after 2 cycles of NAC. Tumor response, treatment toxicity, and surgical complications were recorded. The pathological response to therapy was evaluated according to the tumor regression grade(TRG) score. The primary endpoint was pathologic tumor response. This trial is registered in Clinical Trials.gov(No: NCT02415829).Results: Forty-seven patients were enrolled in the study. Forty-two patients completed the planned treatments.The total radiological response rate was 68%(32/47), including complete and partial response rates of 2%(1/47)and 66%(31/47), respectively. Stable disease was observed in 32%(15/47) and progressive disease was observed in none. Complete pathologic response, major regression, and at least moderate regression were achieved in 1(2%), 2(4%), and 29(62%) patients, respectively. Four patients developed grade 3 treatment toxicities. One patient with wound infection occurred after operation(1/47, 2%). 3Pharmacogenetic Correlates of Antipsychotic-Induced Weight Gain in the Chinese Population显示文摘Antipsychotic-induced weight gain(AIWG) is a common adverse effect of this treatment, particularly with second-generation antipsychotics, and it is a major health problem around the world. We aimed to review the progress of pharmacogenetic studies on AIWG in the Chinese population to compare the results for Chinese with other ethnic populations, identify the limitations and problems of current studies, and provide future research directions in China. Both English and Chinese electronic databases were searched to identify eligible studies. We determined that [ 25 single-nucleotide polymorphisms in19 genes have been investigated in association with AIWG in Chinese patients over the past few decades. HTR2 C rs3813929 is the most frequently studied single-nucleotide polymorphism, and it seems to be the most strongly associated with AIWG in the Chinese population. However, many genes that have been reported to be associated with AIWG in other ethnic populations have not beenincluded in Chinese studies. 4Structural control of silica aerogel fibers for methylene blue removal显示文摘The development of efficient adsorbents is significant for the miniaturization and cost reduction of water purifying facility. In our previous study, a new kind of silica aerogel fibers(SAFs) with hierarchical structure and hollow structure were developed, which shows outstanding mass transport property and adsorption performance. Herein, we further control and study the hierarchical structure and hollow structure of silica aerogel fibers by changing the sulfuric acid concentration of ageing bath and spinning speed. For removing methylene blue, A0 W120 SAFs sample, with DI water as ageing bath and a winding speed of 120 mm/s,presents the best mass transport property and adsorption performance, as they possess larger pore sizes in the outer layer, thinner fiber wall and higher degree of hollowness. 5Exploration and practice of general practitioner responsibility system in an urban community of Shanghai显示文摘Objective:The Minhang district of Shanghai was selected as the subject and its public health management model was investigated.Methods:Minhang became a pilot location for the implementation of the general practitioner responsibility system(GPRS)in 2011.Since then,the management model of public health services in the district has gradually merged with the GPRS through a series of actions:the adjustment of organizations and the coordination mechanism in community public health services,the integration of basic public health services and clinic practice,the establishment of an informationized Internet service platform,comprehensive budgeting management of public health service programs,and performance assessment management of health workers.Results:By the end of 2014,the number of residents who had a contractual relationship with a general practitioner(GP)in Minhang had reached 1.4367 million and all of them had family health records.Compared with 2010,both the rate of maternal management and the rate of children management stayed at high level(≥96%),the rate of hypertension management increased(40.73%vs.28.70%),the rate of blood pressure control increased(82.13%vs.77.51%),the incidence of diabetes decreased(21.93%vs.37.85%),the rate of effective control of blood glucose for dia-betic patients increased(82.43%vs.62.77%),and the rate of child health management increased(99.79%vs.91.54%).Conclusion:The GPRS has helped to create a better community health environment.How-ever,the development of this system is limited by several factors,including the following:the shortage of GPs,most GPs do not have good public health service skills and a correct public health concept,unclear division of different services,and imperfect department coordination.Yan Wu Yanping Zhao Xiaoxia Huang Junyan Wang Huilin Xu Hualin Su 2015Family Medicine and Community Health2015,3,4:5

8Critical Amino Acid Residues for Nicotine 5'-Hydroxylation in Human CYP2A Enzymes显示文摘Objective: We have continued previous work in which we demonstrated that #117 and #372 amino acids contrib- uted to the high activities of human CYP2A13 in catalyzing 4-methylnitrosamino-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone(NNK) and aflatoxin B1(AFB1) carcinogenic activation. The present study was designed to identify other potential amino acid residues that contribute to the different catalytic characteristics of two CYP2A enzymes, CYP2A6 and CYP2A13, in nicotine metabolism and provide insights of the substrate and related amino acid residues interactions. Methods: A series of reciprocally substituted mutants of CYP2A6Ile300 → Phe, CYP2A6Gly301Ala, CYP2A6Ser369 → Gly, CYP2A13Phe300 → Ile, CYP2A13Ala301 → Gly and CYP2A13Gly369 → Ser were generated by site-directed mutagenesis/baculovirus-Sf9 insect cells expression. Comparative kinetic analysis of nicotine 5'hydroxylatin by wild type and mutant CYP2A proteins was performed. Results:All amino acid residue substitutions at 300, 301 and 369 caused significant kinetic property changes in nicotine metabolism. While CYP2A6Ile300 → Phe and CYP2A6Gly301→Ala mutations had notable catalytic efficiency increases compared to that for the wild type CYP2A6, CYP2A13Phe300→Ile and CYP2A13Ala301→Gly replacement introduced remarkable catalytic efficiency decreases. 9Efficacy of self-made Gengnian decoction on phosphatidylinositol 3-kinases/protein kinase B/mammalian target of rapamycin signaling pathway in perimenopausal rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of self-made Gengnian decoction on expressions of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3 K),protein kinase B(Akt)and mammalian target of rapamycin(m TOR)in ovarian tissues of perimenopausal rats.They were identified with symptom pattern of kidney-Yang deficiency in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine.METHODS:Female Sprague-Dawley rats aged10-12 months were selected.Estrous cycle was observed by vaginal smears of keratinocytes to screen the perimenopausal model rats.The chosen rats were randomly divided into five groups,including perimenopausal model of kidney-Yang deficiency group(24 rats),self-made Gengnian decoction of high-dose group(24 rats),self-made Gengnian decoction of middle-dose group(24 rats),self-made Gengnian decoction of low dose group(24 rats)and tibolone control group(24 rats).In addition,rats aged 4-6 months were selected as young control group.The perimenopausal model rats of kidney-Yang deficiency were prepared by alternative intramuscular injection of hydrocortisone 5 mg·kg^-1·d^-1The successfully prepared models in self-made Gengnian decoction of high-dose,middle-dose and low-dose groups and tibolone control group were given self-made Gengnian decoction 26.4,13.2 and 6.6 mg·kg^-1·d^-1,and tibolone tablets solvent 0.22 mg·kg^-1·d^-1,respectively,through intragastric administration.Models group and young control group were given the same dose of normal saline,1 time a day for 15 consecutive days.24 h after the last administration,blood and ovarian tissues were collected after anesthesia with 20%ethyl carbamate.The follicles of different levels in ovarian tissue were observed and counted by histopathological hematoxylin-eosin staining.Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was applied to test insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)level in the serum of experimental rats.The expression levels of PI3 K,phosphorylated-Akt(p-Akt)and phosphorylated-m TOR(p-m TOR)m RNA in ovarian tissue were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS:The total follicle counts of perimenopausal model rats with kidney-Yang deficiency were significantly reduced,and the number of follicles(mainly increased in preantral follicles and antral follicles)in perimenopausal model rats with kidney-Yang deficiency was significantly increased after intervention of high and middle doses of Gengnian decoction and tibolone(P<0.05).Compared with normal rats in young control group,the levels of IGF-1 in serum of perimenopausal rats with kidney-Yang deficiency were significantly decreased(P<0.01),and those intervened by high dose of Gengnian decoction and tibolone were significantly up-regulated.The relative expression levels of PI3 K,p-Akt,p-m TOR m RNA in ovarian tissues of perimenopausal rats with kidney-Yang deficiency were significantly lower than those of young rats(P<0.01),and those intervened by high dose of Gengnian decoction and tibolone were significantly up-regulated(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Self-made Gengnian decoction can increase the levels of IGF-1,PI3 K,Akt and m TOR m RNA expression in serum.Zhang Fan Cao Junyan Zhang Xin Wang Jing Yi Xu 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,6:1
10Identifying the driving factors of successful megaproject construction management:Findings from three Chinese cases显示文摘The construction of megaprojects has always resulted in extensive and long-term impacts on the society.However,the performance of megaproject management is poor,and improving it remains an urgent and necessary issue.Although many studies on megaproject success have been conducted,existing studies on the driving factors of successful megaproject construction are rather limited.Therefore,this study aims to systematically explore the key factors that can lead to successful megaproject construction management based on three cases:The Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway,the Three Gorges Dam,and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.Mixed research methods,such as literature review,case studies,and expert interviews,were used in this study.Consequently,11 driving factors,namely,government support,public support,accumulation and application of technology and experience,development and innovation of technology,innovation and application of management system,organizational mode and structure,top management support,project culture,megaproject citizenship behavior,corporate reputation,and fulfillment of social responsibilities,were identified and grouped into five categories,namely,project environment,construction capabilities,organization,positive culture and behavior,and requirements for sustainable development.The contributions of this study lie in two aspects.First,the driving factors of successful megaproject construction are identified to deepen the understanding of industrial practitioners,assist them in focusing on key factors,and aid them in effectively managing megaprojects.Second,researchers could use the identified driving factors in conducting further empirical studies and apply them in future projects to enhance their chances of success.Qinghua HE Junyan XU Ting WANG Albert P.C.CHAN 2021Frontiers of Engineering Management2021,8,1:1

19Fibrous Aerogels with Tunable Superwettability for High-Performance Solar-Driven Interfacial Evaporation显示文摘Solar-driven interfacial evaporation is an emerging technology for water desalination.Generally,double-layered structure with separate surface wettability properties is usually employed for evaporator construction.However,creating materials with tunable properties is a great challenge because the wettability of existing materials is usually monotonous.Herein,we report vinyltrimethoxysilane as a single molecular unit to hybrid with bacterial cellulose(BC)fibrous network,which can be built into robust aerogel with entirely distinct wettability through controlling assembly pathways.Siloxane groups or carbon atoms are exposed on the surface of BC nanofibers,resulting in either superhydrophilic or superhydrophobic aerogels.With this special property,single component-modified aerogels could be integrated into a double-layered evaporator for water desalination.Under 1 sun,our evaporator achieves high water evaporation rates of 1.91 and 4.20 kg m^(-2)h^(-1)under laboratory and outdoor solar conditions,respectively.Moreover,this aerogel evaporator shows unprecedented lightweight,structural robustness,long-term stability under extreme conditions,and excellent salt-resistance,highlighting the advantages in synthesis of aerogel materials from the single molecular unit.Chengjian Xu Mengyue Gao Xiaoxiao Yu Junyan Zhang Yanhua Cheng Meifang Zhu 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,5:0
