| 1 | ACE2/Ang-(1-7) signaling and vascular remodeling显示文摘The renin-angiotensin system(RAS)regulates vascular tone and plays a critical role in vascular remodeling,which is the result of a complex interplay of alterations in vascular tone and structure.Inhibition of the RAS has led to important pharmacological tools to prevent and treat vascular diseases such as hypertension,diabetic vasculopathy and atherosclerosis.Angiotensin converting enzyme 2(ACE2)was recently identified as a multifunctional monocarboxypeptidase responsible for the conversion of angiotensin(Ang)II to Ang-(1-7).The ACE2/Ang-(1-7)signaling has been shown to prevent cellular proliferation,pathological hypertrophy,oxidative stress and vascular fibrosis.Thus,the ACE2/Ang-(1-7)signaling is deemed to be beneficial to the cardiovascular system as a negative regulator of the RAS.The addition of the ACE2/Ang-(1-7)signaling to the complexities of the RAS may lead to the development of novel therapeutics for the treatment of hypertension and other vascular diseases.The present review considers recent findings regarding the ACE2/Ang-(1-7)signaling and focuses on its regulatory roles in processes related to proliferation,inflammation,vascular fibrosis and remodeling,providing proof of principle for the potential use of ACE2 as a novel therapy for vascular disorders related to vascular remodeling. | ZHANG ZhenZhou CHEN LaiJiang ZHONG JiuChang GAO PingJin OUDIT Gavin Y. | 2014 | Science China(Life Sciences)2014,57,8: | 14 |

| 3 | Present three-dimensional crustal deformation in Hainan Island显示文摘Hainan Island,located at the southeast edge of the Eurasian Plate,is affected by the motion of multiple plates,with its northeast edge mainly dilatating and its western margin presently compressing. By analyzing the GPS rates during 1999- 2007 in Hainan and its adjacent region,we determined horizontal movement rates of 3. 0-21. 1 mm /a at the west of 104°E,evidently affected by the Indian Plate extrusion.Their directions are SE-SN-SW from east to west and are separated by the main fault. The principal strains have the same characteristics. The stations east of 104°E move mainly in the SEE direction. The eastward rates are 2. 1-8. 5 mm /a and northward rates are 0. 4- 2. 7 mm /a. The GPS rates during 2009- 2013 show that stations at the edge of the island move SEE relative to the Eurasian Plate,with rates relative to the mean benchmark,indicating that there are small relative movements between stations,whereas QION station,located in the middle,moves in the NW direction at a greater rate. Vertical differential movement is apparent in the northeast zone of the island. | 4 | Site selection and data processing of GNSS receiver calibration networks based on TEQC and GAMIT显示文摘This study introduces the site selection and data processing of GNSS receiver calibration networks. According to the design requirements and relevant specifications, the authors investigate the observation conditions of the potential sites and collect the experimental GNSS observation data. TEQC is used to evaluate the data availability rate and multipath effects of the observation data to determine the appropriate site. After the construction and measurement of the calibration network, the baseline processing of the medium and long baseline network is conducted by GAMIT. | 17 | Targeting the elabela/apelin-apelin receptor axis as a novel therapeutic approach for hypertension显示文摘Hypertension is the leading risk factor for global mortality and morbidity and those with hypertension are more likely to develop severe symptoms in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular system,which is closely related to abnormal renin-angiotensin system and elabela/apelin-apelin receptor(APJ)axis.The elabela/apelin-APJ axis exerts essential roles in regulating blood pressure levels,vascular tone,and cardiovascular dysfunction in hypertension by counterbalancing the action of the angiotensin II/angiotensin II type 1 receptor axis and enhancing the endothelial nitric oxide(NO)synthase/NO signaling.Furthermore,the elabela/apelin-APJ axis demonstrates beneficial effects in cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology,including angiogenesis,cellular proliferation,fibrosis,apoptosis,oxidative stress,and cardiovascular remodeling and dysfunction during hypertension.More importantly,effects of the elabela/apelin-APJ axis on vascular tone may depend upon blood vessel type or various pathological conditions.Intriguingly,the broad distribution of elabela/apelin and alternative isoforms implicates its distinct functions in diverse cardiac and vascular cells and tissue types.Finally,both loss-of-function and gain-of-function approaches have defined critical roles of the elabela/apelin-APJ axis in reducing the development and severity of hypertensive diseases.Thus,targeting the elabela/apelin-APJ axis has emerged as a pre-warning biomarker and a novel therapeutic approach against progression of hypertension,and an increased understanding of cardiovascular actions of the elabela/apelin-APJ axis will help to develop effective interventions for hypertension.In this review,we focus on the physiology and biochemistry,diverse actions,and underlying mechanisms of the elabela/apelin-APJ axis,highlighting its role in hypertension and hypertensive cardiovascular injury and dysfunction,with a view to provide a prospective strategy for hypertensive disease therapy. | Jiawei Song Jianqiong Tang Zhenzhou Zhang Ying Liu Jiuchang Zhong | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,9: | 1 |
