| 1 | ECharts: A declarative framework for rapid construction of web-based visualization显示文摘While there have been a dozen of authoring systems and programming toolkits for visual design and development,users who do not have programming skills,such as data analysts or interface designers,still may feel cumbersome to efficiently implement a web-based visualization.In this paper,we present ECharts,an open-sourced,web-based,cross-platform framework that supports the rapid construction of interactive visualization.The motivation is driven by three goals:easy-touse,rich built-in interactions,and high performance.The kernel of ECharts is a suite of declarative visual design language that customizes built-in chart types.The underlying streaming architecture,together with a high-performance graphics renderer based on HTML5 canvas,enables the high expandability and performance of ECharts.We report the design,implementation,and applications of ECharts with a diverse variety of examples.We compare the utility and performance of ECharts with C3.js,HighCharts,and Chart.js.Results of the experiments demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of our framework.Since the first release in June 2013,ECharts has iterated 63 versions,and attracted over 22,000 star counts and over 1700 related projects in the GitHub.ECharts is regarded as a leading visualization development tool in the world,and ranks the third in the GitHub visualization tab. | Deqing Li Honghui Mei Yi Shen Shuang Su Wenli Zhang Junting Wang Ming Zu Wei Chen | 2018 | Visual Informatics2018,2,2: | 69 |

| 3 | Electrical transport properties of Fe Se single crystal under high magnetic field显示文摘Understanding the normal electronic state is crucial for unveiling the mechanism of unconventional superconductivity(SC). In this paper, by applying a magnetic field of up to 37T on FeSe single crystals, we could reveal the normal-state transport properties after SC was completely suppressed. The normal-state resistivity exhibited a Fermi liquid behavior at low temperatures. Large orbital magnetoresistance(MR) was observed in the nematic state with H//c, whereas MR was negligible with H//ab. The magnitude of the orbital MR showed an unusual reduction, and Kohler’s rule was severely violated below 10-25 K;these were attributable to spin fluctuations. | 8 | Role of VEGF in the growth and metastasis of a murine bladder carcinoma显示文摘Bladder transitional cell carcinoma is the most common form of carcinoma in the urinary system. Although overexpression of VEGF has been identified in tissue, serum, and urine of patients with bladder cancer, the role of VEGF in transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder has not beenclearly elucidated. Here, we dissected the effect of VEGFduring bladder tumor growth and progression by modifying a BBN (N-butyl-N-(4-hydroxybutyl) nitrosamine) induced mouse bladder transitional cell carcinoma cell lineBTT-T739 by stable transfection of antisense VEGF121 cDNA. The transfection resulted in more than 80% reduction inVEGF production. The growth of the transduced tumor cells in vitro was not affected, however, these cells formed small or no tumors in vivo. Even in the tumors formed, there were mini- mal vascularization, extensive necrosis and longerlatency compared to those formed by parental cells. Thepermeability of tumor vasculature and metastatic tumor growth were also significantly suppressed in antisense VEGFcDNA trans- fected cells. In addition, the transfer ofanti-angiogenic gene in a combination of sFlk-1 and ExTekwith electroporation can suppress the tumor growthefficiently. | 9 | Magnetic-field enhanced high-thermoelectric performance in topological Dirac semimetal Cd3As2 crystal显示文摘Thermoelectric materials can be used to convert heat to electric power through the Seebeck effect. We study magneto-thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT) in three-dimensional Dirac semimetal Cd_3As_2 crystal.It is found that enhancement of power factor and reduction of thermal conductivity can be realized at the same time through magnetic field although magnetoresistivity is greatly increased. ZT can be highly enhanced from 0.17 to 1.1 by more than six times around 350 K under a perpendicular magnetic field of 7 T. The huge enhancement of ZT by magnetic field arises from the linear Dirac band with large Fermi velocity and the large electric thermal conductivity in Cd_3As_2. | 12 | Superior electrochemical performance of La-Mg-Ni-based alloys with novel A_(2)B_(7)-A_(7)B_(23) biphase superlattice structure显示文摘Nickel metal hydride(Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries hold an important position in the new-energy vehicle market owing to their key technology advantages. Their negative electrode materials—hydrogen storage alloys(HSAs) are always on the spotlight and are the key to compete with the burgeoning Li-ion batteries. Here, for the first time we report a series of biphase supperlattice HSAs with a(La,Mg)_(2)Ni_7 matrix phase and a novel(La,Mg)_(7)Ni_(23) secondary phase. The biphase alloys show discharge capacities of402–413 m Ahg^(-1) compared with 376–397 mAhg^(-1) of the other multi-or single-phase alloys. These values are among the highest for superlattice HSAs. In addition, the alloy with 15.4 wt.%(La,Mg)_(7)Ni_(23) phase exhibits good high rate dischargeability due to the proper compromise between the amount of crystal boundaries and equilibrium plateau voltage. The cycling stability of the biphase alloys is lower than that of the single-phase alloy but is till higher than the multiphase alloy. | 14 | Composition and Distribution of Planktonic Ciliates in the Southern South China Sea During Late Summer: Comparison Between Surface and 75 m Deep Layer显示文摘Ciliates are very important components in most marine ecosystem.They are trophic link between the microbial food web and grazing food chain.In this study,ciliates were collected from 11 sites in the southern South China Sea(SCS) during August 25 to September 28,2011.Their composition and distribution at the surface and 75 m deep depth of the ocean were studied.A total of 30 species belonging to 22 genera were identified,and 22 species of 15 genera were Tintinnids.Eutintinnus fraknoii and E.stramentus were the most common species.The other dominants were strombidiids ciliates including Strombidium conicum and S.globosaneum,which were followed by the tide form,Mesodinium pulex.Ciliates abundance ranged from 46 ind L^(-1) to 368 ind L^(-1) in the open sites,46–368 ind L^(-1) at surface and 73–198 ind L^(-1) at 75 m deep layer.In the Yongshu reef,ciliates abundance ranged from 167 ind L^(-1) to 365 ind L^(-1) in the water column,similar to that in Sanya coral reef waters.Ciliates composition showed obvious difference between surface and 75 m deep layer at station S2(P < 0.05),while no similar result was observed at other sites.At 75 m deep layer,salinity was negatively related to mixed layer depth(P < 0.05),but positively to chlorophyll a concentration(P < 0.05),indicating that the change of vertical mixing in water column influenced vertical distribution of ciliates in the southern SCS. | LIU Huaxue SHEN Pingping LI Chunhou CHEN Zuozhi QI Zhanhui HUANG Honghui | 2016 | Journal of Ocean University of China2016,15,1: | 3 |
| 15 | Estimate of Hydrofluorocarbon Emissions for 2012–16 in the Yangtze River Delta, China显示文摘Hydrofluorocarbons(HFCs)have been widely used in China as substitutes for ozone-depleting substances,the production and use of which are being phased out under the Montreal Protocol.China is a major consumer of HFCs around the world,with its HFC emissions in CO2-equivalent contributing to about 18%of the global emissions for the period2012-16.Three methods are widely used to estimate the emissions of HFCs-namely,the bottom-up method,top-down method and tracer ratio method.In this study,the tracer ratio method was adopted to estimate HFC emissions in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD),using CO as a tracer.The YRD region might make a significant contribution to Chinese totals owing to its rapid economic growth.Weekly flask measurements for ten HFCs(HFC-23,HFC-32,HFC-125,HFC-134 a,HFC-143 a,HFC-152 a,HFC-227 ea,HFC-236 fa,HFC-245 fa and HFC-365 mfc)were conducted at Lin’an Regional Background Station in the YRD over the period 2012-16,and the HFC emissions were 2.4±1.4 Gg yr-1 for HFC-23,2.8±1.2 Gg yr-1 for HFC-32,2.2±1.2 Gg yr-1 for HFC-125,4.8±4.8 Gg yr-1 for HFC-134 a,0.9±0.6 Gg yr-1 for HFC-152 a,0.3±0.3 Gg yr-1 for HFC-227 ea and 0.3±0.2 Gg yr-1 for HFC-245 fa.The YRD total HFC emissions reached 53 Gg CO2-e yr-1,contributing 34%of the national total.The per capita HFC CO2-equivalent emissions rate was 240 kg yr-1,while the values of per unit area emissions and per million GDP emissions reached 150 Mg km-2yr-1 and 3500 kg yr-1(million CNY GDP)-1,which were much higher than national or global levels. | Jingjiao PU Honghui XU Bo YAO Yan YU Yujun JIANG Qianli MA Liqu CHEN | 2020 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,6: | 2 |
| 16 | Influence of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor on neural differentiation of adult rat hippocampal progenitors显示文摘Ciliary neurotrophic factor is the only known neurotrophic factor that can promote differentiation of hippocampal neural progenitor cells to glial cells and neurons in adult rats.This process is similar to spontaneous differentiation.Therefore,ciliary neurotrophic factor may be involved in spontaneous differentiation of neural stem cells.To verify this hypothesis,the present study isolated neural progenitor cells from adult male rats and cultured them in vitro.Results showed that when neural progenitor cells were cultured in the absence of mitogen fibroblast growth factor-2 or epidermal growth factor,they underwent spontaneous differentiation into neurons and glial cells.Western blot and immunocytochemical staining showed that exogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor strongly induced adult hippocampal progenitor cells to differentiate into neurons and glial cells.Moreover,passage 4 adult hippocampal progenitor cells expressed high levels of endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor,and a neutralizing antibody against ciliary neurotrophic factor prevented the spontaneous neuronal and glial differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells.These results suggest that the spontaneous differentiation of adult hippocampal progenitor cells is mediated partially by endogenous ciliary neurotrophic factor. | Jun Ding Zhili He Juan Ruan Ying Liu Chengxin Gong Shenggang Sun Honghui Chen | 2013 | Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,4: | 2 |

| 18 | Zebrafish hhex-null mutant develops an intrahepatic intestinal tube due to de-repression of cdx1b and pdx1显示文摘The hepatopancreatic duct (HPD) system links the liver and pancreas to the intestinal tube and is composed of the extrahepatic biliary duct, gallbladder, and pancreatic duct. Haematopoietically expressed-homeobox (Hhex) protein plays an essential role in the establishment of HPD;however, the molecular mechanism remains elusive. Here, we show that zebrafish hhex-null mutants fail to develop the HPD system characterized by lacking the biliary marker Annexin A4 and the HPD marker sox9b. The hepatobiliary duct part of the mutant HPD system is replaced by an intrahepatic intestinal tube characterized by expressing the intestinal marker fatty acid-binding protein 2a (fabp2a). Cell lineage analysis showed that this intrahepatic intestinal tube is not originated from hepatocytes or cholangiocytes. Further analysis revealed that cdx1b and pdx1 are expressed ectopically in the intrahepatic intestinal tube and knockdown of cdx1b and pdx1 could restore the expression of sox9b in the mutant. Chromatin-immunoprecipitation analysis showed that Hhex binds to the promoters of pdx1 and cdx1b genes to repress their expression.
