1复杂抽样Poisson回归分析方法及应用显示文摘目的本文通过检验45岁及以上的人群体重指数(BMI)与跌倒性伤害发生的联系,详尽地阐述了复杂抽样Poisson回归分析方法及应用的必要性。方法本报告应用2010年美国德克萨斯州BRFSS数据,分析了跌倒性伤害与体重指数的联系强度。结果普通Poisson回归分析高估了肥胖、患有心血管疾病、小于25000美元的年收入与跌倒性伤害的联系;低估了中等和差的健康状况、未被雇用、未婚和受教育程度低与跌倒性伤害的联系,但假设检验结果没有变;与复杂抽样负二项回归(NB)分析结果相比,年龄与跌倒性伤害的联系强度没有改变,其统计学检验也保持未变。数据拟合复杂抽样NB回归,离散参数α=8.15,标准误1.68,α的95%CI=5.44-12.22,表明跌倒性伤害数据的方差是其均数的8.15倍,因此复杂抽样NB回归模型更适合BRFSS数据。结论普通Poisson回归分析低估了参数估计的方差和标准误,造成了肥胖、患有心血管疾病、小于25000美元的年收入与跌倒性伤害的假关联关系;复杂抽样NB回归调整了模型的参数估计,适合多阶段抽样设计的数据分析。胡跃华 匡翔宇 金承刚 Hasanat Alamgir 马林茂 冯国双 于石成 2012中国卫生统计2012,29,5:8
2Anti-bacterial activity and brine shrimp lethality bioassay of methanolic extracts of fourteen different edible vegetables from Bangladesh显示文摘Objective:To investigate the antibacterial and cytotoxic activity of fourteen different edible vegetables methanolic extract from Bangladesh.Methods:The antibacterial activity was evaluated using disc diffusion assay method against 12 bacteria(both gram positive and gram negative).The plant extracts were also screened for cytotoxic activity using the brine shrimp lethality bioassay method and the lethal concentrations(LC_(50))were determined at confidence intervals by analyzing the data on a computer loaded with'Finney Programme??Results:All the vegetable extracts showed low to elevated levels of antibacterial activity against most of the tested strains(zone of inhibition=5-28 mm).The most active extract against all bacterial strains was from Xanthium indicum which showed remarkable antibacterial activity having the diameter of growth inhibition zone ranging from 12 to 28 mm followed by Alternanthera sessilis(zone of inhibition=6-21 mm).All extracts exhibited considerable general toxicity towards brine shrimps.The LC_(50)value of the tested extracts was within the range of 8.447 to 60.323μg/mL with respect to the positive control(vincristine sulphate)which was 0.91μg/mL.Among all studied extracts,Xanthium indicum displayed the highest cytotoxic effect with LC_(50)value of 8.447μg/mL.Conclusions:The results of the present investigation suggest that most of the studied plants are potentially good source of antibacterial and anticancer agents.M.Obayed Ullah Mahmuda Haque Kaniz Fatima Urmi Abu Hasanat Md.Zulfiker Elichea Synthi Anita Momtaj Begum Kaiser Hamid 2013Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,1:5

11An Optimized Offloaded Task Execution for Smart Cities Applications显示文摘Wireless nodes are one of the main components in different applications that are offered in a smart city.These wireless nodes are responsible to execute multiple tasks with different priority levels.As the wireless nodes have limited processing capacity,they offload their tasks to cloud servers if the number of tasks exceeds their task processing capacity.Executing these tasks from remotely placed cloud servers causes a significant delay which is not required in sensitive task applications.This execution delay is reduced by placing fog computing nodes near these application nodes.A fog node has limited processing capacity and is sometimes unable to execute all the requested tasks.In this work,an optimal task offloading scheme that comprises two algorithms is proposed for the fog nodes to optimally execute the time-sensitive offloaded tasks.The first algorithm describes the task processing criteria for local computation of tasks at the fog nodes and remote computation at the cloud server.The second algorithm allows fog nodes to optimally scrutinize the most sensitive tasks within their task capacity.The results show that the proposed task execution scheme significantly reduces the execution time and most of the time-sensitive tasks are executed.Ahmad Naseem Alvi Muhammad Awais Javed Mozaherul Hoque Abul Hasanat Muhammad Badruddin Khan Abdul Khader Jilani Saudagar Mohammed Alkhathami 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,3:0
12Sigmoidal Particle Swarm Optimization for Twitter Sentiment Analysis显示文摘Social media,like Twitter,is a data repository,and people exchange views on global issues like the COVID-19 pandemic.Social media has been shown to influence the low acceptance of vaccines.This work aims to identify public sentiments concerning the COVID-19 vaccines and better understand the individual’s sensitivities and feelings that lead to achievement.This work proposes a method to analyze the opinion of an individual’s tweet about the COVID-19 vaccines.This paper introduces a sigmoidal particle swarm optimization(SPSO)algorithm.First,the performance of SPSO is measured on a set of 12 benchmark problems,and later it is deployed for selecting optimal text features and categorizing sentiment.The proposed method uses TextBlob and VADER for sentiment analysis,CountVectorizer,and term frequency-inverse document frequency(TF-IDF)vectorizer for feature extraction,followed by SPSO-based feature selection.The Covid-19 vaccination tweets dataset was created and used for training,validating,and testing.The proposed approach outperformed considered algorithms in terms of accuracy.Additionally,we augmented the newly created dataset to make it balanced to increase performance.A classical support vector machine(SVM)gives better accuracy for the augmented dataset without a feature selection algorithm.It shows that augmentation improves the overall accuracy of tweet analysis.After the augmentation performance of PSO and SPSO is improved by almost 7%and 5%,respectively,it is observed that simple SVMwith 10-fold cross-validation significantly improved compared to the primary dataset.Sandeep Kumar Muhammad Badruddin Khan Mozaherul Hoque Abul Hasanat Abdul Khader Jilani Saudagar Abdullah AlTameem Mohammed AlKhathami 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,1:0
13Convergence Track Based Adaptive Differential Evolution Algorithm(CTbADE)显示文摘One of the challenging problems with evolutionary computing algorithms is to maintain the balance between exploration and exploitation capability in order to search global optima.A novel convergence track based adaptive differential evolution(CTbADE)algorithm is presented in this research paper.The crossover rate and mutation probability parameters in a differential evolution algorithm have a significant role in searching global optima.A more diverse population improves the global searching capability and helps to escape from the local optima problem.Tracking the convergence path over time helps enhance the searching speed of a differential evolution algorithm for varying problems.An adaptive powerful parameter-controlled sequences utilized learning period-based memory and following convergence track over time are introduced in this paper.The proposed algorithm will be helpful in maintaining the equilibrium between an algorithm’s exploration and exploitation capability.A comprehensive test suite of standard benchmark problems with different natures,i.e.,unimodal/multimodal and separable/non-separable,was used to test the convergence power of the proposed CTbADE algorithm.Experimental results show the significant performance of the CTbADE algorithm in terms of average fitness,solution quality,and convergence speed when compared with standard differential evolution algorithms and a few other commonly used state-of-the-art algorithms,such as jDE,CoDE,and EPSDE algorithms.This algorithm will prove to be a significant addition to the literature in order to solve real time problems and to optimize computationalmodels with a high number of parameters to adjust during the problem-solving process.Qamar Abbas Khalid Mahmood Malik Abdul Khader Jilani Saudagar Muhammad Badruddin Khan Mozaherul Hoque Abul Hasanat Abdullah AlTameem Mohammed AlKhathami 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,7:0
14A case of cellulitis of the hands caused by a predatory bird attack显示文摘Many species have been drastically affected by rapid urbanization.Harris' s hawks from their natural habitat of open spaces and a supply of rodents,lizards and other small prey have been forced to change their natural environment adapting to living in open spaces in sub-and periurban areas.Specific areas include playgrounds,parks and school courtyards.The migration of this predatory species into these areas poses a risk to individuals,and especially the children are often attacked by claws,talons and beaks intentionally or as collateral damage while attacking rodent prey.In addition,the diverse micro-organisms harbored in the beaks and talons can result in wound infections,presenting a challenge to clinical management.Here we would like to present a case of an 80-year-old man with cellulitis of bom hands after sustaining minor injuries from the talons of a Harris s hawk and review the management options.We would also like to draw attention to the matter that,even though previously a rarity,more cases of injuries caused by birds of prey may be seen in hospital settings.M Adil Abbas Khan Mohammed Farid Zain A Sobani Syed Nadir Ali Huzaifa Malick Maryam Baqir Hasanat Sharif M Asim Beg 2011Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2011,1,2:0
